Hopefully after getting pumped 6-2 and losing today HIbs will realise that they are in no way possible a rival of Rangers and will sell Allan for the £500k which is senible and reasonable!

Believable5 Unbelievable4

The problem is that we don't have that kind of money and Hibs won't agree to anything other that payment in full up front.

ABHABH your the 1st one I've heard on here talk sense bud! Use don't have the money and that's the problem! your man on the post before u says why don't hibs accept 500 grand! Because use havnt offered 500 grand!! Uve not even offered 300! And that's after 3 bids! Listen to ABHABH! U can't afford 500 grand! Wake up!

The problem here dh88 is that people think that because real rangers men are on the board then everything must be ok. This is all too familiar, it's the same attitude that was shown pre-liquidation i.e. blind faith. The problem is that our board have no money and there is no prospect of getting the necessary money in while convicted tax criminal Dave King is our Chairman.

Things are better on the pitch for sure but it is far too early to be getting too optimistic. We need to bear in mind that we could be facing a points deduction this season for an insolvency event.

I'm sure I'll be slated for pointing out these uncomfortable truths.

The Gers have rented Recreation Park so they can train & get used to the artificial surface for the game next Sunday.

I'm sure they have an artificial pitch at Murray park

08 Aug 2015 20:40:11
Yip Robbie there is a artificial pitch at the youth side in murray park

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Aug 2015 21:02:25
We do but the one at Alloa is worse than that a Murray park. So players need to get used to the poorer surface.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Aug 2015 21:58:55
yes there is an artifical pitch at murray park ould be surprised if they rent one at alloa

I think It's because recreation park is only 3G but most modern versions are 4G

Well the one at Auchenhowie will be 1G then!

Agree2 Disagree1

09 Aug 2015 08:45:30
I think I heard one of the bt sport people say we had rented Alloa's park as it was poor in relation to the one at Murray Park. Sounds like a plan to me. Looks like W&W are leaving nothing to chance. Everything about them, from the way the team is set up from the type of players in the squad to our dealings with the media has been all about professionalism. And I think Mark Hateley was spot on when he said the squad is a lot fitter than last year's. Whatever training regime they have in place, it's certainly working. Sorry Walter, you are a legend, but you were wrong to try and defend your buddy

Agree2 Disagree0

09 Aug 2015 09:51:09
bluebirds your right much as it pains me walter is wrong the the squad is far fitter this season

Agree2 Disagree0

09 Aug 2015 11:28:50
Dont think you can start to talk about fitness at this stage of the season. The difference for me is not fitness but style of play. Its quicker, with much more movement. Because of this I think the lads look fitter. But for me the problems of Allys team were tactics, style of play and the pace in which they played. I don't think they lacked fitness.

Warburton has a completely different style of football.

09 Aug 2015 12:28:23

Defo need a Stuart McCall type & a Kris Boyd type. Infact with the quality of the ball into the box I'd suggest (a hopefully revitalised Boyd) would have 5 goals by now.

W&W are doing a potentially wonderful job.

Agree1 Disagree5

08 Aug 2015 19:00:00
Boyds lack of movement wouldn stop him getting the chances tho, don't think we need a ball winner as halliday can do the job especially when in most matches we willhave 70% poss.

Gary75,

If we have 2 million to spend then Anya is the perfect solution, Rangers fan and already said pre season that he would play in any league, we will not get Scott Allan until January but if it was between him and Anya I would go for Anya or both, 2 million would be a steal for someone who hasn't been great for Watford but would be another aluko up here and imo would be the final piece of the jigsaw. Actually think we could get him for less than 2 mil, probably 1.2 would get him
What do you bears think?

Agree2 Disagree3

08 Aug 2015 20:31:20

Hopefully by the time we are back up king will come good with his cash that he promised he is defo the kind of player needed to open defences at a higher level especially with that pace

08 Aug 2015 23:01:00
Thought we had raised close to 10 million from season tickets, wages won't be as high as last year. So there will be something left to invest. Ashley loan has no repayment date or an interest rate so why would we be in a hurry to repay it

Really impressed how things are progressing under W&W. Yes there are a few things that need to be improved i.e goal scorer and holding midfielder but this is a work in progress and its only been a few weeks since these guys took over I have complete faith in everyone from top to bottom who are running The Glasgow Rangers. Onwards and upwards.

abhabh hy should we not have faith in the board they have so far been excellent so far after all they appointed warburton and weir and made cash available

Agree1 Disagree2

09 Aug 2015 07:48:57
BIGWULL - are you for real? They appointed W&W because that's all they could afford, they have spent very little on players and they are relying on the fans to buy season tickets and merchandise to see out the season. Let's see how happy you are with them when the accounts are published next month.

09 Aug 2015 09:40:04
I have faith in the board we are all judging them still by what has went before. Let's face it we are talking about our football now not the other stuff even the press are talking about our football so that is a big step in the right direction you will always get the idiot reporters that will flog the dead horse trying to keep their old story going but the longer it goes on with football being the main talking point and no major issues with the board then the will just look stupid

Agree0 Disagree1

09 Aug 2015 13:56:03
Gary I think you're in for a nasty surprise. As I say wait until you see the accounts next month. As for the football. While it's an improvement I don't think we can get carried away just yet.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Aug 2015 15:19:35
Was at the game last night, atmosphere was fantastic and the standard of football was a breath of fresh air to watch, long overdue. However there is no doubt we are vulnerable to the counter attack. A sitting mid is a must, hopefully eustace is the answer if he is to sign. The keeper doesn't look comfortable playing the ball out, I know its early but I don't think playing out from the back will ever suit him. If he is to remain number 1 then W&W need to change his instructions to just get rid. Overall the team are looking well. Onwards and upwards.

Not getting carried away but was really impressed with the boys last night. Young and hungry and trying, so much better than that stuff we've watched for the last 3yrs. It was great to leave the ground and everyone had a smile on their faces and talking about good football. We're on our way now lads so let's enjoy the journey

Believable4 Unbelievable7

10 Aug 2015 11:23:54
He is a wee ned and not what Rangers need in their new era of playing attacking football and honest hard working players

Allan will be a Ranger in Decemeber when Hibs are roughly 25 points behind us and they sack the one eyed idiot of a manager Stubbs and realise best to sell to us for £100k

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Aug 2015 09:52:20
Good win for Gers last night. Great to see attacking football like this. Gone are the days of McCoist & McDowell. However, we still need a couple of players. One, a goalscorer and the other a tough, deep holding midfielder. What has happened to Murdoch and why not give young Hardie a run in the main striker's role? I know we have Kenny Miller too but he'd be best used as a supersub this season. What do you think Bears?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

08 Aug 2015 10:55:44
If you put a holding midfield player in there. assuming you mean eustace. then probably holt would drop out.i would rather holt played and live with the possibility of losing the odd goal like we did last night.against a better team . maybe but I think our midfield looks pretty good.on the striker issue I like waghorn.on another night he would have had at least 2 goals maybe more.i think we have to give the guys a chance to bed in and warburton and weir a chance to sort out how we conceded the goals like we did last night and against burnley.i am really happy what I have saw so far.halliday, tav,McKay and waghorn are standouts so far.

Been a couple of years since I have been to an actual league game at Ibrox and good to be back. Atmosphere better, style of football much better and fitness levels way better.

It is admirable to back up your friends but Walter Smith really is embarrassing himself when he says fitness was not a problem under Ally.

Everything was a problem under Ally.

Happier times ahead.

Agree naz completely, we all know Walters a god, but Jesus this backing of his prodigy is cringe worthy, do any of us think if ally was still manager under the more settled background his team would be proper title contenders? I myself doubt it very much! Got to say was brilliant last night plenty of things to improve on but I have no doubt we will, much more positives though, buzz around the ground was great happy faces going into the ground chanting warburton is magic! Brilliant! Wish my dad could have seen this revival

Tonight made me realise how terrible the football has been at ibrox since mid 2011.
Rangers fans are amazing, we have all stuck by them went to games and supported them throughout. But it has been demoralising. The football has been embarrassing for years.
The only times I have seen ibrox like that before the game was the final old firm game at ibrox and the final home games against hearts and hibs last season.
But realistically we haven't seen decent football for years.
I was buzzing just watching the football. Fair enough we are Barcelona, but it's good football. And better than the rubbish we have had to put up with.
Overall, very good performance. And a full ibrox is amazing to see. And we will win every home game this season if the atmosphere is like that.
Cmon the gers.

watched the game and could've been another barraload. anyone feel getting rid of boyd was maybe a blunder as he would be fitter obviously and being a natural predator I feel he would be in his glory.waghorn is a good enuff player but ain't no natural striker. even sheils was lucky with a sitter and Clarke certainly is not the answer up front. deecee

Brilliant tonight, attack attack attack, great to see, brilliant atmosphere as well, am hoping this all continues, unreal, the change from the past couple of years to now, proud to be a ger, only one down side from tonight, and I'm saying this with a heavy heart, but it's just my feeling after the past few games, I think the way we play is brilliant, fast, short and long passes, keeping the ball, hunting down the opposite players until we get possession, but a think decent strikers will score against us no problem, but we'll score goals against anybody that comes up against us, that's for sure! Just hoping if they score 2 we'll score 3! Well done MW&DW
