With nobody relegated and teams promoted it is only Rangers that are being punished. The SPFL know what the outcome will be. They are handing the Tims the title but taking themselves out of the firing line. They are gutless.

08 Apr 2020 23:37:05
Not exactly! Some teans won't be relegayed / promoted via playoffs and some won't be in the top six Eurooean places, irs all up invyje air mate!

08 Apr 2020 18:03:17
right lads in the spfl premiership its going to take 9 votes to close the season out, what teams do you think will vote yes and no, i know 2 for a cert who will vote no, i expect honest answers not hopeful ones please.

08 Apr 2020 18:26:31
Us and hearts the obvious ones. Only other ones I'd think are a maybe are aberdeen, to try finish third (effect euro qualification? ) And maybe at Johnstone a point off top six and the money that comes with that.

08 Apr 2020 19:54:49
Won't bother me if they award the title to them. They won't have WON 9 in a row then. Won 8 and then awarded 1.

08 Apr 2020 21:13:55
The way I would do this is celtic have won the league Cup already so on record it goes as the season 19-22 Cup that drops that off from next season which would allow that time for teams still in Europe like our selves to finish they games either that or wee all go straight into the groups of next seasons competition making more groups to compensate to the league Its commensense to payout prize money as early as possible although due to the troubled times I feel like it should be split evenly to all teams so no 1st or 2nds split evenly to all teams in the league to ensure no one club is in trouble and then instead of promoting a few clubs why not merge the 2 leagues sounds daft but not permanent with a bigger relegation there would be 22 teams so 44 games home and away 4 teams go down and one comes up this way we could over time get a better feeling of what the best for Scottish football is weather it be 22 teams in the top flight or 18 or back to 12 its strange times but this would be common sense we need a change of the structure anyway. The winners of this season would be classed as winners of the 19-22 season but obviously only one trophy onto the Scottish Cup. The 4 teams left in the competition should get a share of the prize money that would of been up for grabs same again replay the competition with them 4 teams a buy into the game before the quarter finals Europe rangers would be automatically in the europa league groups and seeded as we wher one of the teams left in the competition celtic would be in the champions league qualifying as they wher the season before i think this is just sense to be honest sorry its so long didn't plan it to be lol.

08 Apr 2020 21:29:19
The mutton molesters are against it also. So that’s us Hearts and Dolly. It say Hamilton and Ross County could vote against also. Hibs May vote against it as it would deny them 2 full houses against Hearts. May not be as cut and dry as separate entity fc think.

08 Apr 2020 21:47:36
There is no way there not going to give the tims the title. Its a stick on unfortunately.

08 Apr 2020 22:26:27
Truebluesotrue, it doesn't really matter what anyone thinks mate, big peter wants the title, big peter gets the title, who would go against him should have been the question.

08 Apr 2020 16:48:42
Just heard will he vote to close Scottish Championship and Leagues 1 and 2, with immediate effect with Dundee United being promoted to SPFL. No vote yet on SPFL pending further discussion with UEFA, with possible restructure of SPFL for season 2020-21.

08 apr 2020 10:12:23
would much preferred players to have taken a 50% wage cut, instead of a wage deferral would have helped the club greatly at these desperate times, i'm sure players could survive a 3 month cut.

08 Apr 2020 13:02:35
Laudrupsgod, i'm sure you could take a fifty per cent wage cut mate, eh, i know the players earn more than joe bloggs, but they have bigger overheads than joe bloggs, because of there earnings,

08 Apr 2020 14:05:01
What’s everybody’s fascination with players taking wage cuts and giving their money away? As long as the family are safe and we can pay the bills I couldn’t give a monkeys what the players earn. I’ve just been informed my company processed furlough too late so no wages for me this week but I don’t expect big Conner Goldson to give me a sub.

08 Apr 2020 14:25:54
everysaturdaywefollow, so sorry to hear that mate, you're spot on with your post, and, your Employer should get their nuts rattled, that's disgusting.

08 Apr 2020 15:12:51
Aye Everysaturday fully agree wi you an Irvger . Name an shame them mate.

Bet you something tho, big Conner G. would help if you could ask him.

08 Apr 2020 15:19:38
No worries mate thanks for the concern. Should be sorted next week and I fully appreciate there are others out there in far worse situations. Stay safe.

08 Apr 2020 17:47:23
Every Saturday- I'm in the same boat, I'm 51 years old and been working since I left school. I don't qualify for 80% government assistance and I don't qualify for a mortgage holiday. Instead I get £90 per week. The chancellor is full of empty promises. No help at all for the working man!

08 Apr 2020 18:44:50
It's ok lads, the queen gave a speech that should make you feel better haha. I'm getting my 80% which is ok but the mrs got laid off and doesnt, as I doubt her work will open back up. Like many others now we live month to month with very little savings and 3 young kids in the house. It's a horrible time for a lot of people, I feel your pain lads.

08 Apr 2020 19:33:57
Herewego55, I wish you and your family all the best through this really testing time.

08 Apr 2020 20:06:36
For everybody going on furloughed leave the HMRC portal is not even open yet to submit information. I've heard this will not happen until the end of April at the earliest with payments not expected till May. I've 2 businesses and have been on to my accountant constantly along with sitting in front of my laptop watching webinars from everybody. So for those of you waiting for furlough money, don't expect anything quickly.

08 Apr 2020 21:17:36
Seeker - the Chancellor has a lot to answer for, people, companies need that assistance now. Its already to late for some individuals and some companies. Coronavirus is no fault of our own but yet we get punished. Chancellor- hang your head in shame !

08 Apr 2020 22:32:39
Herewego, youve also got the queens govt to thank for the child tax credit, every women gets for every child under 16, without exception mate,

08 Apr 2020 21:37:15
Herewego55, i'd also get in touch with h.m.r.c. As i'd imagine that's another govt pay out, in your situation, mate, i hope you get things sorted as soon as possible mate, don't like seeing anyone struggle, especially more so due to current situation.

08 Apr 2020 22:22:34
Seeker many of my guys have got their 80% on their wage slip today to be paid Friday mate. Unfortunately mines reads zero. Herewego55 all the best to you and everyone else on here.

09 Apr 2020 11:55:18
The stuck give your mortgage company a call mate. I know some are giving a 3 month mortgage holiday without even asking for financial evidence, however the catch is your payments will be higher after the 3 months so might be a last resort for that 1. Pretty sure you can pay interest only for 3 months also. Stay safe mate and hopefully you come through this sorry mess unscathed.

09 Apr 2020 15:29:47
Maximum of 2 kids now paul, get nothing for the youngest. It's not much anyway as the mrs worked part time, will now have to wait for a recalculstion for tax credits before anything happens. Will be weeks if not months before its sorted I'd imagine eith everything that's going on. It's going to be a long tough road mate, least if I can get back to work soon I can get some ot hopefully and soften the blow a bit 👍 a lot of beans n toast dinners but we will muddle through lol, a lot in worse positions so csnt grumble too much mate.

09 Apr 2020 15:31:51
Seeker, I've been told mine will be in with my wages at end of month mate. Hopefully, because if not were screwed and that will be 0 wages.

10 Apr 2020 11:06:35
Herwego, my son is in a similar situation, he is part time Self employed, but his finance mob (motor) have put things on hold, but the govt said if due anything it will be the end of july, maybe. maybe, nowt, i think they put him on universal credit, but that will take months as well, could get a lot worse yet mate, hope not, for everybody and everything.

08 Apr 2020 09:41:28
I hear sfa n spl meeting today to discuss how to handle current situation
What u guys reckon would be the fairest outcome?

08 Apr 2020 10:45:27
With a heavy heart I would crown Rangers champions and relegate Celtic. I know it doesn't seem right but it is fair.

08 Apr 2020 11:21:35
I second TJBB's proposal.

08 Apr 2020 11:23:28
Nice one TJBB, we can only dream eh.

08 Apr 2020 11:48:30
Yes, TJBB, when all is said and done we keep hearing someone has to be champion and someone has to be relegated without finishing the season. And yours is definitely the fairest suggestion I've heard put forward so far. 👍.

08 Apr 2020 12:07:36
100% tupa. we did horse them a few times right enough
and they were obviously on a downward slide while we were in the up . so the the league was ours fir the taking
👍.

08 Apr 2020 13:48:05
Molsgoals, for sure mate, for sure.

08 Apr 2020 14:29:38
Surprise, surprise. decision deferred for the top flight, but 3 lower divisions to vote on finishing the leagues as it stands by Friday this week, 75% vote required to clinch it, devious doesn't come close to describing that lot.

08 Apr 2020 15:41:09
Unfortunately it's all about money for the bottom leagues Irvger.
It also means Barry Ferguson's Kelty Hearts won't get the chance of promotion through the pyramid system as no relegation from the bottom league.
But Hearts can be relegated from the Premier without the season being finished? I can see this rumbling on yet from a legal perspective.

08 Apr 2020 22:04:25
MrTupacman, sorry pal, I was referring to the SFA/ SPFL as the devious ones, I appreciate that the lower league Clubs will need the money, a right can of worms, stay safe mate.

08 Apr 2020 09:35:38
Why do all celtic fans think we want this season null and void? i dont. i'd rather see the league finished.

08 Apr 2020 11:51:29
Correct, it's to hide the fact they want an early finish to the season to get their grubby hands on an unearned tainted title. Even at the expense of the people of Scotland's misery during the current crisis. 👍.

08 Apr 2020 13:27:38
Of course celtic fans and the club want season played out . Its the majority of you lot that want null and void along with ex players and cheerleaders like mccoist, Rae, ferguson, Warburton, Hutton and Bob Malcoln. You had no chance of winning the league and you know that. You dropped 12pts since turn of the year and were beaten twice by bottom of the league teams and beaten easily at home by other teams. You surrendered a few leads only to get beat home and away. Any games you won you did so by a 1 goal victory and never won a game by more than 2 goals. Never had a 5 game winning streak under your current manager and showed absolutely no signs of doing so. Read on here and in radio phone ins your own fans saying league was gone and time to rebuild for next season and some calling for SG to go. Also beaten easily in the cup game by the worst team in the league. Celtic on the other hand were blowing teams away with something in the region of 25 goals scored and 2 conceded since new year and dropped only 2 pts. You need go stop making yourselves look foolish by saying you could have won the league because we all know that was never going to happen. Accept what will happen and be at peace that Celtic will be on 9 in a row very soon. Stay safe.

08 Apr 2020 15:49:15
The only people desperate for any kind of early finish to the season and have verbally said so have been Lawwell, Lennon and Brown who are all wanting their grubby hands on an unearned tainted title by any means necessary forgetting all about the misery and anguish the people of Scotland are currently suffering at the hands of this terrible virus.
With the help of their PR company Hollicom, their Media cheerleaders and any Tim apologist they have continued to push this early finish narrative since the virus arrived on these shores. 👍
The league is still there to be won - what are you lot afraid of?

08 Apr 2020 16:41:23
livingston,

rangers 2 ticks 1

Copenhagen etc etc

wdw.

08 Apr 2020 21:40:01
Mr tupac, yip mate, give them it, it might help the current situation a bit easier, imagine the uproar if they are not awarded it.

09 Apr 2020 21:00:00
Mr tupac, you missed sutton, makavennie, hartson, and a load of ex tims want the title, mate, i can't be bothered racking my brain, but there are loads of ex celtic players, wanting the league handed to them.

08 Apr 2020 08:56:48
Reading a report this morning that real madrid president and manager very interested in signing our current loanee ianis hagi. As we're led to believe, we have first option to buy hagi permanently from his current parent club gent for around £4.5million. Looks like quite a few clubs interested in signing hagi permanently which include napoli, lazio and reports of man city and spurs showing interest. This boy has great ability and looks like he'll go on to become a special player, so rangers must act quickly by deciding to take up the option, of signing him permanently! Its even reporting that the real madrid president will wait for rangers to conclude the permanent signing of hagi for the agreed £4.5million and then quickly offer rangers an almost double your money profit, by buying hagi from us for £8.8million. Thoughts on hagi fellow bears? 🤔.

08 Apr 2020 09:24:01
I don't see why Real would do that Coop? If they want him, all we have is first option. He can easily say no to use and then go off to Spain with them dealing directly with his current club? Don't think he is near that level but agree that we need to make sure we get him.

{Ed001's Note - the suggestion of interest is from his agent who said Man City and Jose Mourinho asked how Hagi was getting on. That may have just been a friendly inquiry because of who his dad is or just being polite. It doesn't necessarily mean those clubs are interested. Obviously it is in his agent's interest to make it look like they are and the media just want to create clicks by mentioning big clubs in a story.}

08 Apr 2020 09:27:52
Hes been decent, scored a couple important goals but he's light years away from being a gazza or a laudrup. but saying that we've not had a gazza or laudrup type player in years.

08 Apr 2020 18:47:17
Nowhere near good enough for real Madrid, that's a laughable link.

09 Apr 2020 16:12:01
Herewego, how is it a laughable link mate, the real style of. Play would suit him to a t.

08 Apr 2020 07:24:58
Looks like FIFA are now also putting plans in place to ensure that the leagues are played out to conclusion at some point and I know there's a really slim chance of it happening but wouldn't it be absolutely amazing if our team came back from this enforced break on top form all guns blazing and overhall the current point deficit it would just prove that Brown, Lennon and Lawell were wrong in calling for titles to be awarded without having been won and for us as supporters it would probably be the sweetest title victory of all time but like I say we have a very slim chance but until its mathematicaly impossible we have that chance and we need our boys to come back playing the way they were before the new year or even better and if we do come back on top form who's to say we can't give a good game on the return leg in Leverkusen when the Europe starts back but who's knows.

08 Apr 2020 12:10:43
Aye ready . that would be the dream if all dreams. but dreams do come true . and they are not a great team.

08 Apr 2020 16:33:50
Aye Ready, we would all love that and the serious point is that as long as it is mathematically possible to win the league, no team should be awarded the title until that can't happen. Remember Keegan's Newcastle United a few year's ago ahead of Man Utd. If this had happened then, would Newcastle have been crowned champions? What about this year's Wimbledon? Is Federer (or Nadal or Djokovic) going to be crowned champions without playing? Is Tiger Woods going to be Open Champion without hitting a ball? Did Tiger Roll win the Grand National. The whole year's sporting contests should be written off. If Celtic are that desperate, give them the title. They've already have about six that are tainted. Stay safe Bears.

08 Apr 2020 22:41:26
Doiger, well in mate, i agree. With it all, just give them it.
