Did anyone notice we paid off dodoo? Played for Bolton tonight.

08 Oct 2019 11:27:57
Deeceee yes in September, keep your finger on the pulse, also in case u missed it SG the manager.

07 Oct 2019 21:27:58
That's 3 times I have watched big Dykes of Livingston with only missing the last 10 of the Tim's match. He's a right good player and gave Katic, Halander and now big Julian the run around! He is something different and most of the replies will be he's not good enough? Going to keep an eye on this big guy and was very impressed 🇬🇧✊.

07 Oct 2019 22:49:09
Hes a big handful I'll give him that he terrorised us twice. Apparently same yday.

08 Oct 2019 05:45:01
Yately1, i agree with you pal. We've got to remember its a 3rd choice striker we'd be looking to sign, to cover our main 2 of alfredo morelos and jermain defoe. I don't wear all this he's not good enough crap. If a striker is playing well in the scottish premiership, we have to take notice and we've all practically agreed, we do need cover and another striker.

Lyndon Dykes certainly gives you something much different, which we do need and he's playing well in the rigours of scottish football. Nobody ever knows how good anyone is going to be in a rangers jersey, until we actually see them playing for us. We are not going to be able to attract a top class striker to be 3rd choice for us. I just wish some would understand that.

08 Oct 2019 09:52:46
it would maybe need a change of style for us to utilise him tho, and that may not be in sg's mind. think he was a rugby league player, so no surprise he is big n bold.
our current main worry comes in january, as the vultures may be starting to bite, especially if alf continues in his ways. he will be pretty difficult to replace.

08 Oct 2019 10:52:29
Struth, if the title is still on Fredo will not be sold until summer ✌️🇬🇧.

08 Oct 2019 12:58:07
I said about Dykes after we played them, he's certainly a handful, and, I don't know about 3rd choice striker, it would be good to have all 3 strikers on the save wavelength and be able to rotate even more. Guys, after Sunday, do you think Edmundson deserves more game time, I thought he was excellent, and, he sure can pass the ball.

07 Oct 2019 20:35:38
A wee quick question guys, I was listening to the Hamilton manager, stating that the gulf between the old firm and the rest is the biggest he has every seen.
With that in mind, the likes of Hutton and Charlie Adam and many more of a similar quality cannot find a club.

Most of these guys I'm sure have made their money and would love another opportunity. I still think that some of these players still have a lot to offer our game on scotland.
Their experience could help develop the youth at a club and improve the standard of our game in general with the examples that they would set.

Thoughts guys?

07 Oct 2019 21:17:20
Charlie Adam shouldn’t have been at Rangers the first time never mind when he is three stone heavier. I couldn’t even see him getting on the bench of our reserves. Hutton is done, he was my favourite right back and I always put him in my greatest 11 but his time has been and gone. Not sure if he’d consider some sort of coaching role but not as a player in my opinion. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.

08 Oct 2019 00:11:50
Hutton over Jardine in a greatest 11?

08 Oct 2019 01:03:52
Guys the above players I'm not talking about playing for us. I'm thinking the likes of killy, Hamilton ect. Just think that there is a lot of good pros that could enhance our league for some of the lesser teams.

08 Oct 2019 08:06:55
Hutton over Gary Stevens and Sandy Jardine? 🇬🇧.

08 Oct 2019 09:43:43
not everyone is of the era to have witnessed jardine etc.

08 Oct 2019 10:20:04
SJ was in a different league to GS and AH. Jardine was world class. A Rolls Royce of a player.

08 Oct 2019 11:29:51
It’s all about rangers not interested in other teams.

08 Oct 2019 13:13:06
Did Gary Stevens not play in a World Cup semi final? 🇬🇧.

08 Oct 2019 17:12:12
Hutton was pish. We nearly tore Spurs hand off when we sold him for £9 million. It was an absolute goldmine for a very ordinary utility player, who had literally played 3 good games for us. Greatest 11 talk would say to me that you had never even seen him play for Rangers.

08 Oct 2019 21:13:03
have to agree with Souness, until his last season he was awful and we would have let him go for nothing. he pulled his socks up but imo no better than Tav is now and everyone on here is slating him.

a lot of fans have selective memory me thinks.

09 Oct 2019 16:26:07
Hutton no better than Tav? That’s the single stupidest comment on here of 2019 (and there’s been lots of competition) .

Hutton tore up the Champions League at times when he was here. Tav can’t handle the Europa League.

Hutton went for £9m what, 10 years ago? If you offered me £9m for Tav now I would first jump at it then second take your car keys off you, because what ever you were on you shouldn’t be driving.

Over on the celtic pages the plastic pitch debate is ongoing. To be fair on this one I couldn't agree more. there's simply no place for them in top division football. Player safety and the advantage it gives the home team are two of the hot topics. Again I agree. The one i most agree with though is the quality of the game to watch. If we are serious about selling our product it needs to be entertaining. There is nothing entertaining about watching games on these pitches. It's a hard old slog. Maybe showing more games from ibrox and celtic park than just the old firm games? Specifically avoiding showing games with these pitches until they change to grass.

07 Oct 2019 22:02:50
Risk of injury, the spectacle I agree with. Unfair advantage i wouldn't say. Us and the smellys budget blows these teams out the water, any advantage they can think of its our job to deal with it.

08 Oct 2019 05:48:28
Jmaster, I wouldn't know because i'm not interested in their pages or take anything to do with them. Its all about us, as far as i'm concerned and don't be like them, who are continually obsessed with us and constantly troll our pages. They've got an illness called RANGERSITIS!
That's it in a nutshell mate!

08 Oct 2019 10:23:15
SGL I get what you're saying but I enjoy when we are doing well and they start to foam at the mouth. Twitter brings me great amusement as well se of them are deranged. The issue of plastic pitches was regularly discussed on here as well last season, it's something that most fans of all clubs dislike (other than the sides utilising them) .

07 Oct 2019 07:40:07
When were we last top of the league? My memory fails me.

07 Oct 2019 11:22:46
last December when we won against hearts for 3 days! all that matters is that we are there at the end of the season.

07 Oct 2019 11:45:58
December 2018, although only for a day or something.

07 Oct 2019 14:32:24
Last December, then complacency set in and we lost the league in January.

07 Oct 2019 16:02:02
Guys, if we keep the same momentum going away from home as we at home, we will do it, I'm sure of it. We can't be afraid of any team in our league, let them worry about us.

07 Oct 2019 16:21:52
Respect All Fear None.

07 Oct 2019 17:09:45
Respect none, fear none.

Fixed that for you bankie 👍.

08 Oct 2019 12:22:45
The games that gives me concern are against Motherwell. ok we have them at home first and should beat them. But they have a strong physical team with some skill full players in their team. I think their bubble might burst before we play them away.

They are another team that has the potential to take points from the unwashed home and away.

Liverpool v Leicester City - A Liverpool Perspective

{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Liverpool v Leicester City - A Liverpool Perspective

07 Oct 2019 01:02:03
We have scored four goals in a game three times.
We have scored five goals in a game twice.
We have scored six goals in a game twice.
We have have scored 52 goals by early October.
Why the heck have we not signed Shankland? 🤣🤣🤣.

07 Oct 2019 12:44:35
daisy, Morelos and Defoe have scored more goals between them than the rest of the team put together, if anything happens to one or God forbid both of them then there is always room for another goal scorer.

07 Oct 2019 14:29:09
Aye Jyf, room in the stand for Shankland.

07 Oct 2019 16:13:52
Souness that's not the point. Could have got him on a free and loaned him out for a season. He's a goal scorer and I don't agree a Nicky Clarke. And a Rangers fan.

07 Oct 2019 16:55:52
If the price is right I would bite dundees hand off for him. Morelos will be off soon, although we have said that for awhile, defoe is ageing. Shankland should be brought in. Nicky Clark had one good season and we bought him. Shankland had an insane season last year, 61 app 50 goals, and so far this season its 8 app 13 goals. We had a chance on a free and let it go. He is not gona cost millions. But we need something for next year. Get him in Jan and send him back to Utd for the rest of the season. How many championship players get called up to scotland squad, shows how poor we are in that department but he is worth the chance.

07 Oct 2019 18:32:33
fintyfint, Morelos, a star striker, will be off soon and you'd replace him with Shankland? Have you ever actually watched football? It's like saying let's replace Laudrup with David Templeton! Absurd!

07 Oct 2019 20:16:41
We need better than shankland, we have players like docherty murphy etc who will be nothing more than bit part cameo players due the quality we have. We are not raising the bar with players like shankland. 👍.

08 Oct 2019 09:15:08
If Murphy can get back to the fitness/ form he showed before he got injured, he'll have a part to play this season.

08 Oct 2019 11:31:00
Correct mrgrumpy, it’s a squad game.

06 Oct 2019 22:25:21
What do you guys think of the union bears new song? I know they split opinion on here and I agree to a certain extent that they can give us a bad name but listening to the song today made me think that they certainly help with the atmosphere at Ibrox and it also looks like they’re making a conscious effort to stop singing the offensive songs by coming up with more family friendly stuff. Here is the lyrics if you don’t know it -
Follow follow Glasgow Rangers follow follow all the way. 54 times the kings of Scotland the most in football history. We’ve got the battle fever on, fight till the day in done, the spirit of bill Struth it carries on!

07 Oct 2019 07:33:25
Think its pretty crap tbh.

07 Oct 2019 08:00:41
Rather it was crap than have sectarian singing.

07 Oct 2019 11:33:26
Agree g4rry.

07 Oct 2019 12:11:36
Is this the song for barasic? I like it, quite catchy, although I have heard alternative lyrics instead of 'he comes and goes' 👍.
