Would love 2 see an Albertz hammer type of player join us in January window
Anyone think of a player like this that won’t cost us £30 million
Quality today loved it.

07 Oct 2018 23:02:26
William king no doubt you will be disgusted again with the songs today? atmosphere at games are top class this year.

07 Oct 2018 22:34:37
After today's game what we need Albert type player for? Current side outstanding today. Not going to highlight anyone because all good. Just wish SG got system like against Tims but just make me relish new year even more.

08 Oct 2018 08:53:19
Maybe not an Albetz but a player to have a go from distance as Hibs have just shown against our next opponents Hamilton.

08 Oct 2018 16:24:09
I agree big bear. At the very least someone who is not shy ay skelping the ball from 20 yards. Its the only thing missing in our game. We showed Hearts yesterday how to play a creative game of football, so nothing to fear there. 🇬🇧.

08 Oct 2018 19:03:12
Paul 86
I know it was great atmosphere. all I am saying is we need some new songs. You may be cool with your kids shouting, unfortunately I am not.
But hay ho never mind typing to protect the image of our great club, let’s keep spouting out the bile that will tarnish the clubs good name.

07 Oct 2018 22:11:57
Just watched bbc2 highlights. We have a lot to do yet compared to timcos 6-0 win. Although Saints goalie was a disaster and defence looked like ours past season's. timco look like they are back now.
Hives the same scoreline as them.
Don't get me wrong, but for us to concede against 10 men an only score 3 is not what I would call a superb performance , still a great result tho. Just saying.

07 Oct 2018 22:32:32
For crying out loud, we've beat the league leaders 3-1 and you comment that timco are back! What a support we have!

07 Oct 2018 22:42:48
Aye right billy. Gees peace.

07 Oct 2018 22:57:02
Billy mate chill, don't be worrying about what they are doing, extra goals don't earn extra points.
Also we did beat a team who were unbeaten surely that's a positive straight away, another is that we had the game won after half an hour. At the end of the day Celtic started the season as favourites and we were written off, people saying we will be lucky to finish third.
It's a long hard season my man let's just enjoy the good results when we get them and try not to loose the heed when we don't get results, we just need to start getting better away results.
Also I think the league table is going to look very different in the next couple of months, cracking result today fella.

08 Oct 2018 05:16:15
Hearts were destroyed in the first half. Foot was well and truly taken off the gas second.

08 Oct 2018 08:48:35
So bluebilly, would you rather we got f@%-in humiliated on Thursday like timmyco and win 6-0 yesterday or pump Rapid 3-1 and pump Hearts 3-1🤷‍♂️
Sniff sniff!

08 Oct 2018 09:31:09
Comedy gold blue billy 👏👏😂😂👍.

08 Oct 2018 09:33:25
The Saints keeper stopped it being double figures. And their defense was not too dissimilar to yours when we played you lot.

08 Oct 2018 09:35:21
Blue billy why don’t you go support them then.

08 Oct 2018 09:39:27
Celtic won 6-0 against st Johnstone big deal, one match will not sort there problems out. Rodgers wants away and Lennon wants back good, let's all laugh at Celtic.

08 Oct 2018 13:09:43
Bhampot, he also should have saved 3 of the goals from what I watched on sportscene.

08 Oct 2018 15:21:11
We beat st Johnstone 5-1 Just a few weeks ago and that bunch said you couldn't do that against a decent side. But the beat them by 6 and they are awesome? We beat the league leaders, how did Celtic get on against hearts?

07 Oct 2018 19:31:08
Ryan kent absolutely immense today against hearts and deservedly MOTM! He's already a big fans favourite and is unplayable at times!
This young winger we have to sign permanently, if we can! He's got us bears on the edge of our seats, everytime he runs at defenders! He's playing some stuff! The hearts players looked terrified of him today!

07 Oct 2018 19:46:36
Agree Super. I wasn’t sure about him initially but he appears to be coming good.

Thought the game was great today. Hearts played well in patches but we were better. Put away our chances and McGregor did his usual. Some seriously meaty challenges which the ref let go and a couple of penalty shouts that could have gone against us. Not enjoyed a game as much for years.

07 Oct 2018 20:06:20
Flanagan my MOTM today however Kent magnificent again, consistency and improvement required to challenge but we are well on the way! Well chuffed!

07 Oct 2018 20:37:34
I have to admit I wasn’t impressed with him at the start. I kinda had my mind made up about him because of the bad reviews he had at Bristol. I know, iknow🤦‍♂️
However his last 5 or 6 games for us he has just got better and better to the point he’s almost unplayable at times.

What I like about him is if it doesn’t come off for him he just keeps coming back for more and doesn’t hide. When he puts the afterburners on no one in this league or Europe for that matter can touch him. If he can add goals to his game the boys going to be some player.

07 Oct 2018 21:36:32
Says in paper today he would like to sign for us permanent. They are saying 2 mill if we got that boy for 2mill it would be signing of the season. It would be a steal.

07 Oct 2018 22:14:43
I agree that signing him permanently would be great, but I think him saying he would consider signing for us was just so he didn't have to say no. Hope I'm wrong though.

07 Oct 2018 23:01:23
To be fair lads if he plays like that throughout the season you can be assured other prem or champ teams will be after him, we can only hope the price is reasonable and he enjoys it here so much that he doesn't want to leave. I think it will end up being far more than 2 mill though.

08 Oct 2018 06:44:18
The good thing here is the stevie G factor regarding the chances of signing ryan kent permanently! If liverpool do allow kent to leave permanently, then with steven gerrard as our manager, it more than likely,
would swing the deal in our favour!

08 Oct 2018 15:22:42
Maybe get him signed up in the next window similar to Declan John last season, and Liverpool have 1st refusal.

07 Oct 2018 18:56:54
great result today again. don't care what anyone says. best bit of business in years at this club was bringing shagger back.

07 Oct 2018 19:59:08
He's been excellent. Still think he sold the goal today should be coming taking that cross.

07 Oct 2018 20:08:36
Totally agree, arguably our best 3 signings, McGregor, Arfield, Flanagan. total cost: £0 well done Mark Allen and his team.

07 Oct 2018 20:31:39
He's been awesome needs to sort his distribution being ultra critical rest I'd say is world class.

07 Oct 2018 21:03:59
Spot on. Bigbear55, you are indeed being ultra critical.

08 Oct 2018 11:25:28
Blue billy that's no way you watched that game saints keeper kept it south of humiliation
As far as praising them and saying we've a long way to go they beat St johnstone we beat the till yesterday unbeaten league leaders bit of a difference, by the way the blue billy tags fooling no one.

07 Oct 2018 17:44:34
2 back to back results but I would have had lafferty on last half hour . morelos had a great first al but poor second half. why no middleton last 15 with kent moving right and candeias off ---haliday on I just couldn't figure out. poor substitutions imo. but stevie knows best.

07 Oct 2018 18:19:16
We just tired a bit after thurs day mate. I was shouting for exact same subs tho tbf.

07 Oct 2018 18:34:16
We won. Enjoy it and stop looking for little negatives. We’ve had enough negatives to focus on the last several years. The good times are coming back!

07 Oct 2018 18:35:12
Really? After a 3-1 win against a Hearts team who've been on fire, you have a go about substitutions. Unbelievable.

07 Oct 2018 18:38:43
The scote was perfect for me, had a fiver on 3-1. 12/ 1.

07 Oct 2018 19:15:13
Was great for me as well I had a tenner on 3-1. Got £2240 during the week for a Rangers 3-1 Salzburg 3-1 double 👍😂.

07 Oct 2018 19:19:16
You said it deecee - Stevie knows best. Let’s just enjoy beating Hearts. We’ve clawed back 3 points on the team that was, until today - unbeaten. Not a bad end to a great week for Rangers.

07 Oct 2018 19:34:39
Blue89,you said it mate. Some people are just never happy! Enjoy it as we totally blew hearts away today!
Massive credit to our manager steven gerrard and the players! We're most definitely going places under stevie G and ibrox is becoming a fortress again, in which teams are afraid to come to!

07 Oct 2018 19:54:05
very happy cooper but substitutions were poor imo. entitled to my opinion just like you.

07 Oct 2018 20:11:15
Agree I posted earlier first call on ssb was a rangers fan complaining we didn't score enough and to complain about subs we won and still there is a negative.

07 Oct 2018 22:03:42
JMaster, you need to start sharing your tips with us, mate. Can't get a coupon up for love nor money! BTW, tremendous result today, on the back of a big European win. We need to go on a run of straight league wins now to get us right in amongst it. # let's go.

07 Oct 2018 17:32:08
Another good win today.

What do you think we need in the January transfer window?

I'd like one more striker and see if we can tie up Coulibaly, Kent and Ejaria on perm deals if possible

Thoughts?

07 Oct 2018 17:53:44
I think we need a proper number 10. A good technical player who can unlock a defence with a clever pass. I like arfield but don't think it's his strength and ejaria like a to play a bit deeper. There's no chance of getting ejaria permanently, don't think he's quite going to be Liverpool quality but they won't let him go now.

07 Oct 2018 18:02:09
Hard to tell at this point maybe an attacking midfielder who can strike the ball from outside the box.

07 Oct 2018 18:07:33
Defo need a striker BRW, defence looks ok numbers wise although we are conceding too much for my liking, GK what can I say, tremendous! I do think we are missing that 1 player that all teams crave that has the vision and quality to find a pass in the final 3rd, these guys are like hens teeth though and cost big money so hopefully we are working on the recruitment of this type of player at the moment.

Is there a limit to the amount of loans we can take or play as we might be able to get a couple of decent guys that are not getting a look in in the premiership come January?

07 Oct 2018 18:15:50
Would send sadiq back to Roma and get solanke on loan. If Morelos gets injured would could be in trouble so firepower is required I think. Another creative midfielder would go a wrong either I like arfield but we need somebody else who can split defences open and also pitch in with goals.

07 Oct 2018 18:23:26
Thought mcgregor was at fault for goal yday tbf, ball hung in sir for a long time and ended up edge of 6 yard box, keepers territory. Can give him one though as he's been top notch since returning.

07 Oct 2018 20:13:29
Wee bear seriously conceding too much? at home were now aggregate 30 for 5 against where's your logic to that bud?

07 Oct 2018 23:07:56
I think we are conceding too many as well, it's not just home games that count we have played about 20 games and conceded 15 or something so we are conceding too many albeit mostly away from home but I expect away results to start getting better and as long as we are finding the net as often as we are it shouldn't be a problem.

08 Oct 2018 07:22:56
My logic is that we are where we are in the table due to conceding goals my friend, we have conceded more than all the teams above us in the table and if we continue to concede sloppy goals then we will continue to drop points in games we have to be winning.

07 Oct 2018 17:16:44
First call on SSB rangers fan not impressed we only won by 3, complaining about subs
We're our own worst enemy at times as fans.

07 Oct 2018 17:54:43
We only won by 2. But same team as Thursday, job done in 1st half, now time for a well earned break.

07 Oct 2018 18:24:58
Defo Marco, we simply ran out of steam understandable after Thursday nights effort. Hearts had 8 days rest remember the results the most important thing.

07 Oct 2018 15:49:43
Stevie G is driving down the road and lo and behold does he not see Brendan broken down on the motorway, so Stevie G stops and asks Brendan does he want a lift to the nearest garage, which Brendan gratefully accepts. On the drive to the garage Brendan asks Stevie if he could give him some advice, Stevie says go ahead. Brendan says he is not getting his leg over lately and has tried everything but still nothing seems to work, so he ask Stevie, do you have any advice how do you do it, Stevie replies. whistle the sash going through the door. Brendan says, i can't do that being Celtic n all, Stevie says. well it works for me. try it. so that night Brendan goes home and thinks, there is no-one around i think i will give this a little go. so Brendan opens the door and starts whistling the sash. just as he starts, his wife shouts out. IS THAT YOU STEVIE?

07 Oct 2018 17:30:37
😂😂 brilliant!

07 Oct 2018 17:40:52
2 disagrees two dhims just won 6-0 but they feel the need to come onto a rangers forum you couldn't make it up.

07 Oct 2018 18:26:10
Obsession is a thought or idea that continually preoccupies or intrudes on a persons mind!

If you are reading this then you know what you are! 😃.

07 Oct 2018 13:08:40
Hoping for a good result today, coming over in November, hoping to get tickets for game v Motherwell on 11th. Can anyone tell me when they reckon they will go on sale, too early for website
Thanks guys.

07 Oct 2018 14:51:08
There is a list on the ticket information part of the site which gives the sale dates of every home game.

07 Oct 2018 18:09:53
Anyone know when the ballot for the semi takes place?

07 Oct 2018 13:18:55
Just arrived back from Portugal, the bus got stuck, four Scottish guys myself and another Ulsterman got off and started to shunt cars out of the way so as we could get to our destination ( airport) the four Scots and myself turned out to be Rangers supporters, just a silly story I know, but Rangers supporters stuck together and got the ( job done )

07 Oct 2018 11:33:08
A must win today against Hearts and this could start a run of league games that could see us at the top. After today the league games in October/ November are:

Hamilton (a)
Kilmarnock (h)
St Mirren (a)
Motherwell (h)
Livingston (h)

Anyone feel as I do that we could, perhaps should take maximum points from the next six league games?

I think the league is the no. 1 priority and the European success so far is something I never expected in a million years. Good to beat the sheep in the league cup semi though!

07 Oct 2018 12:36:06
Thing is we thought this before the Livingston game, we'd go on a run . Get the away form sorted and yeah we should win all those games.

07 Oct 2018 12:53:56
Getting to far ahead of yourself one game at a time my good man.

07 Oct 2018 15:50:58
One game at a time. No game is easy so folk need to stop looking five games ahead.

Premier League Matches Preview 7 October 2018

07 Oct 2018 10:12:00
{Ed's Note - Reid the Red has posted a new article entitled, Premier League Matches Preview 7 October 2018

07 Oct 2018 09:15:15
Seen a few articles regarding the co-efficient. While it looks like Scotland is climbing the rankings with both clubs in the group stages it looks unlikely we will climb as high as 15th which would be required for a 2nd champions league place. Truth is, we are nowhere near a champions league side and would take some beatings if we got there however financially beneficial. Does anyone know how climbing the rankings will effect the amount of qualifiers that we may have to face? I hope that the real benefit of this unexpectedly good run in Europe is that we have less qualifiers next season and a seeding in the pots which will give us another good chance of qualification. That would provide the financial confidence to go and add 2/ 3 of real quality each summer hopefully. I’d also note that the parent clubs of all our loans (Roma apart) must be delighted with their players experiencing and contributing massively to the match on Thursday, this can only be good when we are looking for even better quality on loan next season?

07 Oct 2018 14:14:30
Maybe not this season, but in season's ahead? Hopefully.

Review Of The Day 7th October 2018

07 Oct 2018 07:29:12
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 7th October 2018

07 Oct 2018 00:29:45
How refreshing to see Rangers progress from 1 st team downwards through the age groups. Any interview Steven Gerrard gives is upbeat and positive and also contains a point that we continue to improve
The Guy is pure class.

06 Oct 2018 23:04:09
Hopefully the same team stars tomorrow against Hearts. I feel they’ve deserved a run. Bring big Laff on in the second half either to maintain our lead and hold it up, or get in their faces and snatch a winner.
