dave king, george letham. paul murray in multi million pound bail out talks with board

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope they can agree a bail out package, but it would need to be with the view of eventually taking control of the club. i think its now gone past the stage of even trying to work along side with the present owners. i know if i had the money that would need to be the guarantee, and it would also need to be in writing, lol !!!

Good idea with the blog (ED 039) had to Google it to see what a blog was being a total technophobe. I see Mike Ashley has called for an EGM with the view to removing certain members of the board, a good thing or does it set alarm bells ringing amongst fellow Bears

{Ed001's Note - he only found out what a blog was when he was googling a new toilet and made a typo. So you are not alone in being a technophobe....}

Boyblue totally agree with you mate we were warned about charlieboy and his pals pffft bunch of conmen

I don't like to criticise the players much but I am surprised at the lack of criticism from regulars on here over the performance of Zaliuskas on Saturday

He looked dodgy to say the least and If Moshni had gifted the ball to the livi attacker on the edge of the box like that he would have been slaughtered on here

I know you have a job to do ed but seriously some of the voting poll questions are nonsense. Questions like today's are people expecting to much from a newly promoted rangers team? NO! this is Glasgow rangers we are talking about here! We have the second biggest budget in the country and I would say the second best squad. The blame for the poor results and performances lies squarely at the door of the "manager" and his "coaching" team. NOT in our fans expectations. Some obvious examples of his inability to manage are. persistently using the Long ball tactic to Kris Boyd which even my 4 year old son can see will never work and constantly playing at least 3 players out of position EVERY game. let's not let our standards slip guys, remember who we are and let's get together to demand better ON AND OFF the pitch. Alex McLeish was getting protested against with a much better record than mccoist. nuff said.

{Ed001's Note - I had to ask the question as some people had said as much. I was interested to know if that really was the general feeling.}

I appreciate you posting and replying to my message ed and I do understand you are just doing your job but I am so frustrated at some people's attitude towards our current status in Scottish football, second has never been good enough so let's not start accepting it now. it's bad enough the manager saying he would take promotion through the playoffs without the fans doubting our own standards and expectations.

Damo666 Of all those players you listed we should only have kept Hemmings. The rest, apart from the keeper Gallacher and Telfer who never realy got a chance, had plenty of games and just weren't good enough. Telfer left for first team football, but last time I looked it wasn't going too well for him.

Maybe so but we have a training ground that is as good if not better than anything out there, the talent should be rolling through the doors. murry park cost 14 mill and 1. 2 to run each year that's 29.6 mill, how many big sales have we had just hutton 9 mill we nead coaches that know what they are doing teaching flowing, passing football from a home grown young rangers team

Agree0 Disagree0

My point is these players plus a few players bought in third, second or first would of got us up. we did not have to win the league by 20 odd points

Damo666 I do take your point mate,but we are still Rangers whatever mess we are in and certain standards are expected.Most fans have been screaming for McCoists head for a long time,moreso this season since Hearts have gone six points clear.Do you really think it would have been ok if we had won League 1 say by two points?or even goal difference?

Can I just add a brilliant idea in theory damo666 and I'd love to see it happening I really would.But an old firm manager is five defeats from the bullet.In reality McCoist would be long gone if we had the dough to sack him.We needed the right man to take us in the youth direction,but would we the fans had the patience for it?

As I've said all along no we wouldn't have the patience that's why the majority of fans are crying out and have been crying out (since the s#!+ hit the fan) for a sugar daddy to come in and spend on the squad .

What am I thinking?Of coarse you've been saying it all along,how remiss of me!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Gkk myself and others have said yes we would have had the patience for it but i think with the right manager in charge we would have won promotion without the need for all these older guys that have come aboard and we would have money in bank to sign one maybe two really good youngsters

Sarcism doesn't suit gkk u can bet your bottom dollar that if and when someone takes over and starts spending all the people who said they wouldve played the youth will be lapping it up same way when we were spending & bringing big time charlies to the club mark my words .
r.f

Agree0 Disagree0

Gkk we only need to look at the hearts and hamilton teams even the hibs team to see that youngsters were and are the way forward and the only ways to play to the financial fair play rules but no doubt we will still get fantasist on here telling us to spend spend spend instead of think think think

We would all love to see youth givin a chance but its the nature of the beast at Ibrox that a manager would not get the chance to bring in the youth players, yes you would get the faithful who would follow no matter what but if success wasn't instant we would be calling for the managers head and crowds would dwindle as now & he's won 2 titles so apart from the 1 or 2 who make the grade that's the sad truth of the matter and that's why other teams such as Hamilton can bring youth in as the demand is not so high there .
r.f

Agree0 Disagree0

Rf the 1 or 2 that have made the grade are the 1 or 2 that got the oppertunity to show they had it

i would like to know some of the players that have come through murry park that we never got money or not very much money. we have had tallent that has come through and for what ever reason it has not worked out, 13 years of the best training facilitys money can get, i don't think we have made the most of what we could of done with our academy, we had money in the bank if we had signed player in the davisions we were in, young scottish players living a dream of playing for a big club on modest wage, if it does not work out then nothing lost. since admin we have lost players that would of got us back to the top league, s gallacher, k hemmings c telfer, k naismith, a little, c hegerty to name a few, with the youth we have now and some shrewd signings we would have a strong hungry young team that would have 50 to 100 caps each as a team.
