C'mon bears, credit were credit's due. Jump over to our page (Celtic) & congratulate us. After all, we did beat the best club team in the world. As a bonus, just think of the coefficient points for the Scottish game.

I'm a celtic fan. I think you'll find there have been many posts from rangers fans on both sites congratulating us. No need to stir it up

Agree20 Disagree4

Like you did when we beat Motherwell in the cup? Most of you lot could only say that Motherwell didn't bother to turn up, and that we were gifted a win! The same can be said about Barca, but they lost and Celtic won, well done. Now that you've beat the best team in the world, your expected to win the tournament.

Agree6 Disagree12

07 Nov 2012 22:06:24
to all the rangers fans who are saying well done.hats off to you.in all honestly if rangers done what celtic done tonight it would pain me to say it but would still say well done.

the thing is ally can do the same ! ok its div 3 however tony watt came from airdrie and im sure their are other gems in the lower leagues where rangers can see them first hand and when they get back into the spl or whatever its called by then.then you surely have a good shout at spotting talent from lower leagues on a shoe string budget ?

lenny

Believable21 Unbelievable7

That's where ally went wrong. There are bargains to be had in the 1st and 2nd division but he chose to buy foreign players and has beens

Agree18 Disagree2

Hearts might see them first,, they will be beside us next year

Agree7 Disagree2

One of our problems at the moment is that we actually had Tony Watt on trial and nobody thought he was good enough!

BARNEY BEAR

Agree16 Disagree0

Ally could have bought div 1&2's best players for peanuts. Instead went for kyle, faure, argyriou, cribari ans stella.

Agree18 Disagree2

From an outsiders point of view I cannot understand why rangers don't have Rudi Skacel, Craig Beattie and even Robbie Nielson instead of Kyle , argyriou etc. Clearly better players who know the course and have great experience in Scottish football. Kyle instead of Beattie took the cake and Skacel was a no brainer for me.

Agree2 Disagree0

@3 no way !! I'm sorry but I can't believe that !

Lenny

Agree3 Disagree1

I hope the post about the trial and Watt not being enough isn't true. If so it would be interesting to know which coaches or scouts ruled on this one. That's partly how we got ourselves into this mess through not blooding home grown youth but rather spending a whack load of loot on average mid 20's foreigners. Scandal if the earlier post is true.

Agree4 Disagree0

For years we've been more interested on buying players, instead of bringing our own youth players through. Now we have no choice but too find and blood the youngsters, maybe in the long run it will finally be of benefit to us both financially and football wise.
Superb result for Celtic.. bigbaz

Agree2 Disagree0

@3

If that is the case, so what? Perhaps he was not good enough and only developed later, it has happened you know. Is he the next Simon Donnely/ Mcweedy/Liam Miller? Bet cfc fans hope not.

Believable26 Unbelievable8

Maybe a lot of things are not as you have been LED to believe. Think for yourself, its amazing what youll see.

Agree0 Disagree0

No, scottish football is total junk. One good result won t change that. Standard is going to deteriorate too, how can cfc get better without any competition at home.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Nov 2012 21:45:04
great result for celtic tonight ,they really deserved their win, also ref was very lenient as two barca players should have been shown the red card or is it just the usual bias against the smaller country

Believable25 Unbelievable6

Song should have walked no doubt about it. Haven't seen the Mascherano pull on Watt when he was 1 on 1 to make it 3-0 (imagine that ffs lol) but from were I was sat it looked like he pulled him back. Last man red card. But like I say I haven't seen it again

Agree4 Disagree0

Song was a definite off. Twice ! Mascherno...limited contact . Thought the boy Watt was fouled but it looked as though he might have gone to ground a little too easily. Think he'd have gotten the call if he hadn't VHSS

@7 this is about a Scottish team beating arguably the best team in the world. That's why people from all Scottish teams are congratulating celtic. If you cannot see good football through your hate everything green specs, then you're a mug. If this had been any other Scottish team, the reaction would be the same. If it had been rangers going into the game I would've hope they got pumped, but if they had played and won the same as celtic, I'm pretty sure I would've been off my seat cheering them. It's called respect

Hearts have been on the edge for ages. Edinburgh is also NOT a football town. They have very little passion for their teams. Hibs slightly more than Hearts, but not a football town. Too many kilts and tourists and shortbread in wee funny tins.

Believable8 Unbelievable14

@OP: surely you don't think people from Edinburgh are into all that?!

Agree13 Disagree3

Op What planet are you on?You've obviously never been to Hearts/Hibs derby.Talk a load of tripe!

Number 2. Please spot a wind up when you see one! I will post you a wee funny tin! Come on, its banter - have a stab!

Agree2 Disagree5

OP your joking aren't you? I have managed to get to a couple of Edinburgh derbies and have to say the atmosphere and passion were amazing

Agree3 Disagree1

Believable19 Unbelievable11

thi is the start of it.hearts been givin a winding up order from hmrc.scottish football is imploding.so all the turkeys that voted to put the nail in our coffin are going to get there xmas.wonder who will accept the mhanks when we have no league to play in.enjoy it the now because i forsee a bleak future.then again they could alweays have another sell out saturday.!eh.big jim watp

Believable8 Unbelievable9

One club - which has been on the brink for years - could go under and that means Scottish football is imploding. And who voted to put a nail in your coffin? No-one - they voted to not allow a new entity onto the top league as this would set a dangerous and unfair precedent.

And who started this implosion anyway? {The Ed039's Note - Rangers have nothing to do with Hearts situation if thats what you are hinting at. Its all Mad Vlad)

Agree4 Disagree3

Granted ed., but if it's an implosion as the OP said, it was started by Rangers. Big IF, though lol

07 Nov 2012 17:37:36
well it looks like 1 down and 10 to go...i dont put celtic in this category for now but if spl clubs start to topple financially then yes it will have a disastrous effect on the rest and eventually celtic....no league....no club ...no income.....how sad is this....i strongly feel this was all started with the demise of rfc and those money hungry suits at the helm of our once great football institution......deecee {The Ed039's Note - Deecee, I dont think that is a fair assesment, Hearts financial problems started a long time before Rangers went to the well and fell down the divisions)

Believable4 Unbelievable7

07 Nov 2012 17:44:15
i know ill take pelters for this but in the aftermath of the headline on hearts today i guess its worthwhile to say good luck tonight on behalf of the survival and health of scottish fitba ...never mind the hatred just for one night ....this is all scots fitba has right now...deecee

Believable19 Unbelievable8

@op You are so right.Scotland needs nights like this---whatever the score turns out to be.I too wish them well.

Agree14 Disagree3

Op no it's not all Scottish football has right now one team does not make the whole Scottish football hearts have had this coming for a long time and more will follow

Agree3 Disagree4

Hearts voted with others to boot rangers out therefore reducing their income and a reduced tv deal teams will reap what they sow or have sown

Agree6 Disagree14

Cant remember you showing the same compassion or concern for Rangers Decee i wonder why

Lochaber Bear

Agree7 Disagree5

@4: thought Deecee was a Rangers fan?

Agree4 Disagree2

And Rangers showed no compassion to Airdrie once apon a time either mate. That's the way it is.

If hearts go to the wall, they (the club not the fans directly) will have deserved it for mismanagement. They signed Ryan Stevenson ahead of Motherwell by offering him a better wage when they shouldn't have been signing anyone, but instead should have been trying to offload players. They had Skacel training with them aswell with the hope of getting a deal together for him. It's a disgrace. I would be raging if I were a hearts fan.

Agree1 Disagree2

07 Nov 2012 17:29:55
Hearts haven't caught onto this club/company malarkey, you lot will need to educate your east coast cousins!

Heart of Midlothian FC have warned fans that financial difficulties might mean the club could die this month.

The Edinburgh side issued an open letter to supporters on Wednesday, stating that they must supply "emergency backing" for the club owned by Lithuanian businessman Vladimir Romanov.

This came after HM Revenue and Customs lodged a winding up order against Hearts with the Court of Session over a £450,000 tax bill believed to relate to unpaid PAYE and National Insurance.

In the open letter published on the club website, Hearts stated: "Without the support of fans there is, as we issue this note, a real risk that Heart of Midlothian Football Club could possibly play its last game next Saturday, 17 November, against St Mirren. This isn't a bluff, this isn't scaremongering, this is reality."

Believable8 Unbelievable2

Here it begins, the fall out. This will be first of many. Hope the fans are happy that by voting us out they have put their own club in the mire.

Not paying NI and Paye, we will see if this is classed as "sporting integrity"

Agree0 Disagree7

OP Agree but then some people will never face facts and live in their own wee world. If you say something often enough, you start to believe it.Maybe Jambos are more realistic.Friends in high places will help them ---maybe---but then that doesn't always work either. Not often Hibs fans get a break but they must be enjoying this, well just a wee bit,eh?

Agree2 Disagree0

@1. Hearts financial problems were historic. Not as a consequence of the folding of Rangers.

Some ego to think the world or even scottish football revolves round any club that plays out of Ibrox.
Armageddon didn't happen and it won't happen. {The Ed039's Note - Yes Hearts problems are historic and I have acknowledged that in other posts, but it is very arrogant of you to think that other SPL sides are not having difficulties, just because it is not in the papers doesnt mean it is/is not happening)

Agree4 Disagree1

@1: you weren't in the SPL when the clubs voted (Club 12, remember) so weren't voted out. Rangers applied to be allowed in and were denied.

Agree7 Disagree1

Hearts receive winding-up order over unpaid PAYE and VAT bill.

Wonder if they will be joining us in Div 3?

Believable10 Unbelievable7

Only if they get liquidated and someone forms a new club , maybe called The Hearts.

Agree18 Disagree0

Most run in the zombie family the hearts are bumping tax payers dough haha.Henke7 43/0.

Agree17 Disagree3

No we will be in div 2 (hopefully) when they reach div 3

07 Nov 2012 17:41:12
Only if they get liquidated....... so thats a no it looks like?they will just do a Motherwell and Dundee which means same as our punishment point deduction.

Agree9 Disagree0

Another sad day for Scottish football and as usual the lowest common element in our society have some cheap digs. Scottish football can't afford to lose another massive team from the top division and I really hope they will get through this and emerge even stronger

Agree9 Disagree1

Don't want any other team to go through what we did.

Agree8 Disagree1

Romanov said rangers must be punished now lets see what the sfa does to them this is only the start more spl clubs to follow

Agree5 Disagree7

07 Nov 2012 22:00:27
Intresting SPL saying nothing; maybe if they paid the next installment of the media money, Hearts may have a fighting chance, not sure mad Vlad would whant this as a Rangers model would clear all debt.

Hearts fans should be more concerned about what those clowns at the SPL/SFA might be planning in punishment if they do go into admin or worse.

They don't have to be big and athletic that's what's rong with our game look at messi xabi iniesta

Agree1 Disagree0

@2 is this the famous youth academy that has been referred to as a conveyor belt?
From your current squad you have one player came thro the ranks and that is Forrest. However you have also signed McGeouch who was signed from Rangers Youth Academy. The rest of your squad are transfers in.

Agree3 Disagree5

Yes an that skinny wee boy they call Lionel Messi had to go on Bloody Growth Hormones he must be Pi$h, What about Willo Flood he was a big solid quality youth player when use signed him eh?

Where did Tony Watt get his training?

All i have heard from Rangers fans id stuf the SFA this and that, we hate Scotland, want nothing to do with anything the SFA is involved in. 25,478 fans at the SFA's cup game at the weekend puts a bit of a flaw in your arguement. Why not pull out of the Scottish Cup if this is how you all feel.

Joeshmo1888

Believable20 Unbelievable25

See joeshmo this is it not all rangers fans will take the same view some will not support Scotland because of the SFA some will its there choice. Just like all Celtic fans have a choice. Some like you talk and slaver constant Sh,t and some don't simple as that.

Agree15 Disagree7

You clearly don't read all the posts I'm a rangers fan and I always want the Scotland team to do well it's all part of being a proud Scotsman. The problem is the sfa board they seem to be a bit out of there depth when big problems arise.
Cbear

Agree11 Disagree4

I would have absolutely loved Scotland to play in a World Cup in Brazil and always support the national team so the OP's statement is mince.

Some bears support Scotland, some don't. Same as Celtic fans I would think.

BARNEY BEAR

Agree8 Disagree2

Another over inflated tim story. There are plenty of Rangers fans who still support the Scotland team, there were plenty down in Wales, but feel aggreived by the SFA and others who have decided to withdraw their support. That is their right.
So what, now you are saying that Rangers fans are not allowed to gripe, grumble and complain about the SFA?
You should be celebrating your 125th (sounds like a BB company right enough) and you've got Barca at piggery park the night, (am gonnae tune in for the last 5 mins to see the Barca goals) but no, you're on here moaning about Rangers fans, so take your own advice and withdraw out the site.
I've known plenty Celtic fans who supported Scotland but also plenty who believed the SFA and Scotland were against them and didn't give their support.
Give it a rest.

Agree14 Disagree3

The SFA never have continuity on punishments. Overly harsh for some and zero for Rangers and newco manager and CEO.

Agree3 Disagree7

We, the people, have been done wrong by the SFA/SPL. We will decide individually whether to attend Scotland International matches or not. A return to the SPL could also be out of the question, especially if our titles are taken. Stuff SFA/SPL. WATP. Nil Desperandum. 54 and counting. GET IT!

rangers injuries mounting up on what is already a thin squad, one of the reasons im not bothered about cup runs. need to keep squad fresh and fit for div 3, which is our main priority !! boyblue

Believable9 Unbelievable7

Need the extra cup games for revenue and TV cash - catch 22

Agree8 Disagree2

Thin squad? It's still the biggest in 3rd division by a mile, I'm not bothered about cup runs because we ain't good enough to win any of the cups.

Agree11 Disagree2

@2 were a third div team why should we be good enough to win a cup

Agree7 Disagree2

Lol that's easy saying that after being pumped out by QotS and destroyed by ICT.
It wasn't the message that was coming out of Ibrox little over a few months ago when Ian Durrant was talking of a quadruple!

I'm blaming you're lack of reality on the fact you are all in mourning.

Was listening to Clyde 1 last night and I don't think you're alone, there's a lot of bears out there at the "denial" stage in their grief process.

Agree7 Disagree6

@4 if you were listening to clyde 1 as you say you will have noticed that 99% of Celtic fans came on wanting to talk about Rangers and their history despite it being the eve of a great European night at parkhead arguably against the best team in the world when are you lot going to get over us it seems to me that most not all but most of the celtic fans that use these pages and phone ins hate Rangers more than they love their own team. lets see if we get the same public outcry from these celtic fan about Hearts not paying paye or N I contributions lets see you shout from the highest point about ambulances.police.schools etc doing without.

Hearts will not be the only club to fail financially this season. its time to get a ringside seat and watch Scottish football implode unless something drastic is done to prevent it and in my opinion the not fit for purpose SFA should be the first thing to be reconstructed.

Lochaber Bear

Agree3 Disagree1

@4 yep you are obviously another Idiot who likes to have cheap digs at a team you try and say doesn't exist anymore. Celtic were the best team in Scotland's ad they never won any of the cups so I think rangers not winning any wouldn't worry any rangers fans

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Nov 2012 00:38:08
I couldn't give a damn about Scotland either. No person is bigger than the team unless you are the manager or pen pusher it seems, what other lower nation team falls out with star players and treats them like dirt when we don't have Amy bugger to replace them, that is why we are do garbage. It is not a new manager we need it is a whole new top tier of SFA and not a job for the boys scheme that we have just now, it is a shambles.

Believable13 Unbelievable5

For someone that doesn't give a damn, you have obviously been thinking about it!!

Joeshmo1888

Agree6 Disagree5

Women can't play for the national team....... besides, I've never heard of Amy Bugger, bet she got bullied at school.

(sorry, couldn't resist - just trying to lighten the mood).

TRD

Agree7 Disagree2

@1 you have to think about everything you don't give a damn about or how would you know you didn't give a damn. I no longer give a damn about the national team but I used to until I realised that the top brass only care about self gain and not what's best for the national team. So why should I support the national team when the people in charge don't. Scotland have only beat one team ranked above a hundred in 3 years and that was Lithuania who were 75th anyway have fun supporting a team ranked outside the top 100 because if things don't improve/change soon this is where Scotland will end up
