07 Mar 2016 20:59:45
Got to laugh at the tims a week ago they want ronnie and the board sacked. then they beat morton who they tell us are part time plumbers an there world beaters again.

08 Mar 2016 07:40:11
Going to hibernate till the day of the game. I just hate all of the crap in the lead up. It's obvious they are running scared. Wait till you hear the nonsense we'll get now. Heard MW on talksport last night quietly going about his business. Hope he doesn't get drawn in by the mhanky journos up here. Methinks he's to clever for that and is choosing the platform of national radio and sky to promote the club. He mentioned the mhedia up here a few times on Adrian Durham s show and not in a good way! More power to your elbow gaffer!

08 Mar 2016 09:50:37
Listening to them, they're worried and panicking already. Apart from the usual Sevco garbage of theirs they're busy counting up the number of our players who they reckon wouldn't make their team. Fair enough but the funny thing is they never do that with the likes of Aberdeen, Hearts or Molde. Says it all.

08 Mar 2016 09:59:00
Well get all the normal pish new club zombies an sevco whilst there howling at the moon.

08 Mar 2016 17:58:26
You just added to " all the pish before the game.

07 Mar 2016 19:08:37
Does everyone think the game will be against them be on the Sunday 17th April instead of the Saturday.

07 Mar 2016 19:28:24
Only Sky will decide the date depending on there schedule in England!

07 Mar 2016 20:26:21
Makes sense for the Sunday due to pubs not opening until later and the Scottish national is on the Saturday.

07 Mar 2016 21:15:34
A hope it's Saturday but reckon it's a stick on to be lunchtime Sunday.

07 Mar 2016 16:56:49
Guys, The form we are in we are a country mile ahead of Celtic. Mark Warburton will keep them grounded and Weir, Wallace and Miller will get them up for it. Be super optimistic and show it!

07 Mar 2016 17:36:40
A think a bit of calm is needed am looking forward to the game like the rest of u but to say we are miles ahead of Celtic is ridiculous this time last week guys on here where not convinced we could beat Dundee now we gona hammer Celtic! ill be having a wee bet on us to win at 4/ 1.

07 Mar 2016 18:39:09
I'm not as confident as some because they are good with a big squad and playing at a higher level. But if they play that donkey bitton in midfield with Brown I will fancy our chances lol. Score win for us!

07 Mar 2016 18:41:54
Yeah I've got to agree that we ain't miles ahead they are still way ahead of us in terms of stability not on the park though but hey with time and the right management both on and off the park we will be, i will say i am pretty confident though more confident than last time anyway we just need to show this form from now in what we don't need is a couple of shady results and the heads dropping.

08 Mar 2016 09:14:41
We are all quietly confident but to say we are miles ahead of celtic is just ridiculous.

08 Mar 2016 09:29:56
The way I see it is their support will demand they are up for this game (as ours would) so despite their current dodgy form they will be raring to go by the time of the match. But then so will we. It's a hard one to call tbh. Hope we don't get any more injuries. If we play roughly the same team as walloped Dundee and the guys put in the same level of effort and commitment I think we will win. One thing I do know is that MW'S team will give a whole lot better account of itself than the last embarrassment. Didn't even watch it and was delighted when i heard later it only finished 2-0. How sad is that?

08 Mar 2016 13:28:30
Why didn't you watch it?

08 Mar 2016 17:22:48
Why do you think? Not too difficult to work out y'know.

07 Mar 2016 15:52:14
Just a had peak at that lots site and some of the stuff coming out of them is hilarious. One comment was we'll should beat them by five. They couldn't beat hamilton and dundee by one despite getting 2 pens against hamilton 😂 I hope to god we smash them then that'll shut them up.

07 Mar 2016 18:14:24
The main thing with the tic game is. our team aren't going to be push overs this time. this game is winable. it could go either way, its great to look forward to as we have as much chance of winning as they do. celtic have everything to lose and we have everything to gain. delias job is gone at end of season, a win for us would add pace to this. personaly i hope they keep him on. delia, collins, and kennedy. oh. how could i forget mr lawell, will have the sick bags at the ready if we get the result.

08 Mar 2016 10:42:37
It is a fact they are running scared, They keep going over the same crap and how we are a new team in a lower league. yet they only get 14000 of them bother to turn up at a home tie, wait to see how many scramble for tickets, moaning that their allocation is to small. demanding they should get more because their a SPL club.

1) the questions is why
2) the answer is because it's The Famous Glasgow Rangers they are playing.

07 Mar 2016 13:43:56
I know it's early an that blah blah blah but what's your predictions on the semi final? going to stick ma neck out an say 3-2 tae us. They'll score but we'll score more.

07 Mar 2016 14:01:40
We will need Waggy back.

07 Mar 2016 14:19:27
No rangers player would get in the celtic team (Mabe Wallace) . Depends on what celtic team turns up on the day. A performance on a par V Dundee will make it a good game. I'm not an optimist lol. Just hope there's no trouble from both set of fans (apart from the hard core bigots who will never change) .

07 Mar 2016 14:41:34
Reviamjolly I wouldn't take a single player from them over what we have. The way we play isn't about individuals, we play as a team and a unit. People keep making out as if our team isn't SPFL standard but it's an insult to the players we have. They have all played at that level or above before barring a few of the younger lads. Win or lose, and I think we'll just edge it but we will be ready for them next year. Mark my words!

07 Mar 2016 23:42:02
Anythings possible in a 1 of match. Regarding Challenging I reckon the Top 4 will be realistic (With 4-5 players Brought In) . Too many getting carried away with it and for the next 6 weeks the media will do what they can to stir the "Glasgow Goldfish Bowl" printing regurgitated utter tripe! .

08 Mar 2016 00:11:03
Raviemjolly, i reckon we go up next season to try and win it, not try and finish in the top 4, We are RANGERS, and we will be the best team in Scotland again.

07 Mar 2016 14:47:27
Celtic have no defence only their young full back would get in RANGERS team Midfield I would have Halliday Holt/ Bitton Roberts Attack much as I despise the wee creep has to be Griffith and Waggy/ Forrester plus McKay depending on fitness

They flood goals and their keeper is only a shot stopper at best if Bitton turns up he is a good player

They play a very slow boring style of football and many of their team would struggle in our system esp as they are not as fit as our squad

We will win 2-1 if we get breaks on the day as even when we had our best squads winning trebles the Old Firm results came down to desire and luck on the day. Within 2 years Rangers will play celtic off the park in fashion of Advocaat's best team as Warbs is creating a system from kids up through youth and the first team ALL playing this fast passing style with constant movement off the ball.

Dundee game was the first time it started to click after only 8 months since total overhaul, it will eventually change the Scottish game if not Rangers could end up dominating for years esp if Warbs stays for 5/ 6 years.

08 Mar 2016 09:34:27
I agree Katie. If MW is not sickened by the mhedia and all the crap that goes with being Gers manager I think with the right backing we could become the dominant force yet again. The performance at the weekend was up there with the best I've seen and I've been following this club for over 50 years.

08 Mar 2016 13:31:42
By this logic hearts should have won league this year as they were extremely impressive winners last season. Instead tyncastle had a plane flying a nielson put banner over it this weekend "no bottle. No drive. Nielson out" . Fickle.

08 Mar 2016 17:23:58
WTF are you on about?

07 Mar 2016 12:42:11
Are some of our cup final allocation tickets in the east stand for game v Peterhead?

08 Mar 2016 17:12:42
Yes mate.

09 Mar 2016 02:32:14
Thanks for confirming that LLG - I got my ticket yday and it's for east stand g5 area - seems we are spread all over the stadium -.

05 Mar 2016 18:38:42
Does anyone think there's any chance of keeping Dom Ball for another season even?
He has been solid at def mid and has played his way into the team and is gaining experience of being at Rangers and settling in.

07 Mar 2016 10:32:24
Ball seems to think he is good enough for a place in the spurs team, so I'd suggest he doesn't want to be with us long term. Good player, once he finds his feet he'll be a decent player down south.

08 Mar 2016 00:14:44
Dom Balls good in that role, but if he truly wants to go bk to Spurs then we will just needto find our own holding midfield player in the summer transfer window, i'm really lookin forward to see who we bring in because i'm confident they are going to be decent signings

08 Mar 2016 00:14:44

07 Mar 2016 14:49:01
Funny Ball is exactly what we needed to shore up defence he ended all worries over a Eustace style player needed.

Great footballing brain and technical ability wish we could keep him another year.

08 Mar 2016 09:38:02
Wasn't sure about Ball at first but I think he has been outstanding when he has played in recent games. And he is still very young but plays with great maturity. Hope we can sign him in the summer or at least get him on another season long loan.

07 Mar 2016 10:24:55
There's a hell of a lot of confidence on here judging by the fans post, which is great we've not had much to shout about the last 4 years, no matter what happens, win or lose I will still applaud the team off the park, the effort this season has been first class.

07 Mar 2016 14:14:41
Lets just see, and hope the team is where we want it to be, excellent on Saturday, fantastic at times, wish I had sky plussed it but forgot, , still concerned bout defense handling grifmonster, but hopefully we can, longer game stays level the better we will get, I have a funny feeling that Nicky Clark will be our trump card, game is made for a good bluenose like him, let's stay focused and not declare ourselves winners already, that's what they'll be doing now
Tommy.

07 Mar 2016 15:07:47
Keirnan was outstanding on Saturday, Solid all day long.
we have now played 8 hrs of football, at Ibrox, since last conceding a goal.
There is no concern about our defence.

07 Mar 2016 22:41:02
I also think it could be Clark's day, Holt and Clark to score - 2-1.

07 Mar 2016 09:27:46
New to this page. What's folks thoughts on Halliday v brown.

07 Mar 2016 09:36:15
Both will get booked get that on at the bookies.

07 Mar 2016 20:54:51
I think the following will happen

If we take control midfield and get an early lead Brown will get sent off, Roberts will be lucky to last the 90mins but could take one of our guys out of the game, Commons won't last 90 mins and will spit the dummy out when subbed after 15mins knackered, Forrest will not get a game as he will be injured
Their best player will be Craig Gordon but will let a few in

Other players pretty average but will raise their game, but it all depends what team Peter Lawell.

07 Mar 2016 23:51:45
So what happens if you don't take control of midfield, you don't score an early goal and you don't make qny of these fantasies you've came up with over the last few days Ibrokes4eva? I've got to laugh half of you were questioning wether you were better than hibs before they self imploder.

08 Mar 2016 00:02:01
*imploded. Don't get me wrong you have the right to be confident with your team! You've played well, demolished Dundee and fair enough we drew with them days before. But isn't this the same Dundee we put 6 goals past at the start of the season going on 10? We may be in disarray with our manager atm but some of the confidence on here is insane after 1 game of football. And although your team is a hell of a lot better than last season I'm sure I remember similar optimism on here before the last semi. I suppose we'll see soon enough but something to think about before you start booking tickets for the final.

07 Mar 2016 12:58:03
Brown and griffiths will lose the plot guaranteed.

07 Mar 2016 14:54:16
Brown is past it and will try to compensate by jumping into dangerous tackles to try to please fans this should leave celtic down to 10 men

Warbs will have our team clued up how to deal with this

2-1 or 2-0 to Rangers depending on how things go luck wise on the day.

07 Mar 2016 01:27:13
Whats happened to Gedion Zelalem? not seen much of him recently? *****.

07 Mar 2016 06:54:42
He's been swallowed up with the intensity of the run in, to light wait, we needed players that can take a tackle and score goals, he'll be back nearer the end of the season!

07 Mar 2016 10:13:50
WhatAteam wee gedion zelalem is injured just now or he's getting over an injury.

07 Mar 2016 10:14:28
I think he had a groin strain.

07 Mar 2016 15:15:15
Thanks for the replys man, nothing against the lad but hopefully he isn't playing against Celtic if he gets fit in time, I think the team we had out against Dundee will take care of Celtic, if we perform to the same intensity that is =)

07 Mar 2016 00:41:20
Very happy with the draw. If Celtic try to come out and attack us which they will a think our great high tempo play will definitely cause the manky mob problems. Never felt this positive about Rangers in about 6 years, next stop Europe.

07 Mar 2016 08:27:38
A lot of these guys are in for a shock . Noise levels and tension on that park is out of this world. Looking forward to it.

06 Mar 2016 20:01:56
I know i'm probably going to get some stick here but i must admit, although I've missed top flight games, I have not missed playing them. I think the game is so overhyped and full of so much bile and hatred that I dread it coming round again on a regular basis. If we could only somehow engineer a move down south and leave them here in the football wilderness I would be delighted. We really don't need them and all the crap they bring. Let them fight it out with the sheep and the rest. Would love to be playing Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City etc any day of the week.

07 Mar 2016 07:19:07
The Seeker

No stick from me on this but I'd rather we work at the bile reduction but keep the hype. It takes two to tango and we bring our own bile along with us. It's not just them.

I'd happily play any of the teams you mention but I still want the euphoria/ horror of a victory/ loss v Celtic.

07 Mar 2016 09:38:35
Agree 100% with bruisebear we have more than enough bile of our own.
Indeed it makes me utterly ashamed when our knuckledraggers start their bigoted keech
We should be above that and leave them to swim in their own crap
time for us to leave the 17th century and get into the 21st.
We should be better than that, and if we don't get rid of it, we will find ourselves qualifying for Europe and being excluded because of our nutters.

07 Mar 2016 09:44:22
did you see the trouble before the arsenal spurs game
the trouble the media build up the old firm game until
the numpties bite.

07 Mar 2016 10:18:37
The seeker our bitter sectarian nonsense is just as bad as theirs, and btw both clubs should work together to try and do something about it, but that will never happen in a million years.

07 Mar 2016 06:32:37
Too true but not gona happen.

07 Mar 2016 11:03:46
Guys
Of course I know this us a problem for both sides but I'm just fed up with sections of the press, their fans and even their club painting us as the big bad Rangers and inferring the problem is much worse with us. I've attended many many OF games over the years and I know from personal experience that this is not the case. It's just not right and I'd much rather not have to have anything to do with the whole thing. Absolutely love it when we beat them though. No feeling like it but would happily swap that for a go at the EPL.

07 Mar 2016 13:25:15
The press aren't making it up, they are highlighting a serious problem that we need to deal with. If the morons stop signing secterian songs then the press can't print stories about fans doing it.

Not to say there aren't elements of the press that have an agenda, but we are our own worst enemies on this one.

The "fans" singing the songs are not true fans of the club - they are small minded bitter losers who use our great club to promote their own pathetic agenda -please get lost and go join the kkk or bnp instead. No true fan would continue to do something that is obviously damaging the club.

Agree with poster above- if this crap continues when we make it back into European football UEFA will RIGHTLY throw the book at us.

07 Mar 2016 14:49:49
I think a lot is made of the bigotry but I think most people are just ignorant to what they're singing half the time. It's mostly people uneducated on the whole thing that does the singing, and the whole atmosphere and group mentality thing kicks in
. But I think if you took that hatred away from this game it would just be a normal game, and not the intense rivalry it is. Not condoning it btw but I don't think it's as big an issue as some make out. I personally would rather live in a world where freedom of speech is respected as well. When u start telling grown men what the can and can't say or sing it will only ever end one way. Educating the youth and getting rid of split schooling would be far more affective as I fear it's too late for a lot of people who have been brought up with this.

08 Mar 2016 00:39:32
Aye very good so thousands of people (not all fans we have a similar element, but THOUSANDS) singing about being knee high in fenian blood can be misunderstood as merely being ignorant!? Fair enough.

06 Mar 2016 19:45:21
I will be quite scary for those celtic players they will never had played in front of big crowds like that. If they believe that they have been playing in front of 50,000 at porkhied then when then mighty rangers come along they will think that must be at least a million.

07 Mar 2016 10:28:33
Good post Gary, put a wee smile on my face there lol.
