I'd fancy Bolasie. Not getting a game down south but would nail it up here. Kent has 1 good game every 8 games, Barker made of chocolate.

07 Jan 2021 20:34:35
No for me he has 1/ 2 good season max and done nothing for a long time.

08 Jan 2021 00:19:31
I fancy Dan James on loan from Utd.

08 Jan 2021 00:24:04
Also a loan deal for lundstrum give them Alfredo put him in shpp window if he does well we could get £15-20m in summer we no longer need him to win the league itten and roofe are more than enough quality with Defoe back up and sign Dan James on loan aswell. Get rid of fridge on loan Jones barker Stewart mckpake Middleton barjonas maxwell at left back maybe get me use out aswell on loan time to step up and play. Would love Adam James lundstrum and maybe an experienced pro on a 6 month deal at centre half til katic is fit. Any ideas.

08 Jan 2021 07:59:17
Hasn't morelos played in just about every game we won?

08 Jan 2021 09:20:56
I gerrard bizarre suggestion, u do know roofe is injured and it is said he could be out 4-6 weeks
I assume you know absolutely nothing about James maxwell, better than Paterson by far.

08 Jan 2021 09:54:51
Yes of course i know about our talented youngsters in nathan paterson and james maxwell mate 🤔
Don't know why John25,that you're assuming i don't know nothing about young james maxwell 🤔🤔.

08 Jan 2021 10:06:25
SGL my response is to a post from Ingerrard, at no stage are u mentioned, unless u r one in the same.
Very strange response from u.

08 Jan 2021 10:31:30
My apologies John25,i quickly read your post and just seen gerrard at the beginning sorry mate 👍.

08 Jan 2021 10:39:11
Barrowlad that's great statement seeing we haven't been beaten this season.

07 Jan 2021 19:36:42
Bit disappointed lads, 7th January and no talk yet is us signing Weiss? 😂😂.

07 Jan 2021 21:09:07
What about Vlad Weiss? He and Kent would rip it up here 😁.

07 Jan 2021 21:56:21
Ano what’s wrong with us he’s usually touted from mid November and mid June every year 🤔😂.

07 Jan 2021 22:58:20
Me too alloa Ger I'm waiting for scott Allen.

08 Jan 2021 09:45:48
What about Stuart Baxter if SG goes to Liverpool:-)

07 Jan 2021 19:05:08
When Tav was playing for Rangers in the championship. Who would honestly say that not only would he still be a Ranger but also the captain of a team with one hand on the premier league trophy. I for one would have laughed.

07 Jan 2021 19:32:10
Many on here slated him with ridiculous comments such as “we’ll never win a trophy with him as our captain”. I know we haven’t won anything yet but I’d be delighted if we did, especially with how instrumental he’s been in our success this year.

07 Jan 2021 20:00:24
Let's face it tav was never captain material to start with. he never played like it or showed it. now you see him playing well but most importantly talking shouting throughout the game. for me tav took time to grow into the captains role but shows it on the park now. always vocal to all the players.

07 Jan 2021 20:06:28
I reckon Tav made some silly comments last season which rightly earned him some stick and very possibly spurred him on to become a more positive and much better player. Good on him, I admire any player who mans up in the face of criticism.

07 Jan 2021 20:40:58
Geromino have you checked out the 13-10 at Newcastle tomorrow 💷 💰 get on.

07 Jan 2021 22:20:46
Not one to say I told you so but I did say he was the best RB we had since Gary Stevens. Although I always thought he was ropey in defence, I just thought he gave us more going forward that he cost us with his dodgy defending.

I must admit though, this season he has really kicked on with his defensive duties as well.

07 Jan 2021 19:04:03
You can't rule out players simply because they play in the spl, as has been pointed out mcginn was sold for 3 million and probably worth 40 now,
It's too late once they are down south and out of reach,
Having said that not sure about the names mentioned. Ferguson maybe provide drive and power in midfield?
To be fair to Nisbet seems to score goals when he steps up a level.

07 Jan 2021 20:37:36
I agree BB.

07 Jan 2021 15:07:24
A lot off talk re players in the window, that's partly what this site is all about.
I as much off others pick up wee snippets and choose to share some, not all.
Why, because some are so ridiculous others I have been told in confidence.
Everyone is entitled to a view re any player, however I personally don't agree we should, sign shankland, Ferguson, misbet et all and loan them straight back. We real late not that cash rich. Remember these players and many others have allegedly been extensively scouted by our recruitment team.
Since Wilson arrived we seem to be doing better business and getting frees such as McLaughlin, Defoe, Davis, balogun, Bassey .
Signings under the radar such as hagi, itten, roofe
Finally we r picking up some excellent academy players like, McKee, Graham, Weston coupled with improving some our own academy players.
So I consider our manager and Wilson r doing an excellent job improving playing staff
Next season we will be going for champions league group place, we need better players in first 11, so IMO we at this stage need to find them out with Scotland.

07 Jan 2021 15:20:08
Good post John.

07 Jan 2021 15:44:58
100% agree.
It's all about quality over quantity now.
We can't waste money on maybes like the players from Scotland you have highlighted.
Are people forgetting we could be in the CL next season? Or continuing our development as a side others will fear in the Europa League?
It isn't being a football snob turning our nose up at players in Scotland.
It's a market that has served us well in the past. It's about getting value for the limited money we have available and players who can enhance the first team. It's why quality frees are seen as more viable.

07 Jan 2021 15:51:04
Excellent post John 👏🏻👏🏻.

07 Jan 2021 15:53:24
Have to agree, any player coming in has to be starting 11. Excluding youth of course. 👍.

07 Jan 2021 15:58:43
Excellent post John.

07 Jan 2021 16:19:50
Have to Disagree, going back over even a few years you can see that some players in Scotland just need a chance to prove them selves at a higher level look at Roberstson McGinn playing with better players they look fantastic these are the type we are scoffing QPR, Dundee Utd and Hibs respectively! and there are more to be had in Scotland IMO. U think McGinn looked far superior to Lewis Ferguson at the same age?

07 Jan 2021 17:07:45
John McGinn is a fantastic player! The amount of ex pros saying young Ferguson is a great talent tells me he’s worth a punt and let’s hope he joins his boyhood hero’s in the summer🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧He’s worth a punt and fits into our club model.

07 Jan 2021 17:28:41
R1 McGinn was a mile ahead of ferguson. We should be grateful he went to villa.

07 Jan 2021 17:41:42
Yately Aberdeen want 4 million. Not what I would call a punt.

07 Jan 2021 18:15:00
Good post John but with brexit and these new rules it won't be easy getting foreign players with work permits, visas etc. It will be interesting to see how things pan out in the future and I can see a great opportunity for our young British talent to make the most of this and I would love to see more British talent getting a chance. I think this is their time to step up and shine.

07 Jan 2021 18:18:54
Excellent post John, the main point for me was the reference to the job Ross Wilson and Steven Gerrard are doing, they won't let us down.

07 Jan 2021 18:23:59
Have TBH, that's a very well written post John25 👍 I still think we shouldn't snub possibly signing talent in scotland though mate and that's my honest opinion! I also do trust wholeheartedly steven gerrard and our management team and of course our technical director ross wilson, who are all doing a fantastic job at glasgow rangers 👌.

07 Jan 2021 18:33:45
Will be interesting to see Ferguson in action against us at the weekend. Very likely he will be at Ibrox next season.

07 Jan 2021 18:35:26
SGL I’m not saying snub Scottish players. What I’m saying is bring them in early, ie Graham 30 k.
Notpuntsat 2: e 4 million then lend them out. For. That money they are straight in 11 or on bench.

3 cheers we don’t know rules yet resigning players from abr, it’s set by home office.
Believe me it will be well influenced by epl.

07 Jan 2021 18:37:21
Bang on the money as always John lad.

07 Jan 2021 18:40:27
Great post don’t agree with it all because if we always went out with Scotland we wouldn’t have signed kamara.
We need a mix of both we need to be signing the best young talent in Scotland.

07 Jan 2021 18:58:17
No kJ missing the point. Kamara had a great schooling at arsenal and we got him for a bargain, near end of contract. Had he been valued at two million he would not be a rangers player imo.

07 Jan 2021 19:16:39
Young Ferguson is 20 and McGinn is 26 with brilliant experience at a few different clubs! He will go on to be a great player if not with us it will be down south.

07 Jan 2021 19:32:01
Good posts John agree mate 100%.

07 Jan 2021 20:30:18
For me one of the biggest factors in turning a really good player like Ferguson or MCGinn and the like is the players that surround them.

It takes a very special talent to transform a team but a really strong team can transform a good player with potential.

I think Ferguson could go on and become a real star for us but I’m not sure I would pay £2m+ for him when there will be other under the radar deals out with Scotland to be had.

07 Jan 2021 20:40:04
John am not missing the point and I just don’t agree with everything you said mate that’s all.

Not signing players in Scotland and we will miss out on good players it’s that simple and I think we should be buying the best young players in the contract.

Every club needs a good mix.

07 Jan 2021 21:09:55
I don't see all the hype regarding Ferguson, he's decent, that's all.

07 Jan 2021 22:24:31
Good point R1 - anytime I see Hibs at that time I was though McGeough was the better player of the two. Amazing to think how his career has gone since then and how McGinns has gone.

08 Jan 2021 02:17:45
Yea John great post . Wasn’t going to read because it seemed a tad long but I’ve never seen a post that got so many positive comments so I had to . I agree about Ferguson and shank ( unless we were getting at about 1 mill each ) . For every mcginn there is a Stewart .
Oddly enough tho bid sadiq is playing out his skin and gas just signed a five year deal for about 4 mill I think and scored a hat trick at the weekend. I think tho like windass Stevie thought he didn’t work enough . He certainly was one in a million tho a bit like ted macmine and his unpredictability made us laugh in the stands 👍.

08 Jan 2021 03:21:31
John25, how was he a Mile ahead? Correct me if I’m Wrong but at 21 was McGinn not playing Championship level in Scotland with hibs when he got back to the SPL his stats aren’t what Ferguson’s are at the moment in a more competitive league? So how can you say he was a Mile ahead? Ferguson’s running the show for Aberdeen scoring and assisting regularly and playing really well.

Point is these guy get to be shown on a big stage and thrive few of the players people mention here might be the next McGinn or Robbo people don’t remember these boys were lower level than a Ferguson or a Portueos or who ever and now they are top top players Robbo is world class.

08 Jan 2021 09:25:19
R1 I’m entitled to my opinion.
How much would u and some others on here rate Ferguson if he was Paul mcstays son and Willie mcstays nephew.

08 Jan 2021 10:23:15
Why are you bring that up John. I personally couldn’t care less who his Dad is I do like the fact the las is a bluenose and he would love to play go us. A Hamilton lad who loves the Gers and I wouldn’t be surprised if Tim’s nip in!

08 Jan 2021 10:29:00
100% your entitled to your opinion but you said he was miles ahead which he clearly wasn’t. My points more about buying SPL players there’s value to be had here and (not u) but people turning their noses up at young Scottish talent because hibs got beat off another SPL side or because Ferguson plays for Aberdeen is madness. These players mentioned are standouts in a rubbish team. Who knows what they could be.

08 Jan 2021 11:12:37
Ri your opinion mine is he was miles ahead.

08 Jan 2021 11:39:20
Yately why can’t I ask a legitimate question,

08 Jan 2021 12:51:40
I'm one of the ones who doesn't think any of the Hibs lads are good enough R1.
If we sold Barasic, Goldson, Kamara and Morelos, would you be happy if we replaced them with Doig, Porteous, Newell and Nisbett?
Remember we are going to be a potential CL side or competing for EL group winners.

08 Jan 2021 18:55:29
I’d be happy for nisbit Portueos Ferguson to be given an opportunity at rangers yes they are all young talented boys that are cutting it in our league. Newell no to old he had a really good game against us but he’s likely not going to get much better at his age. To replace all our key players with these lads is not at all what I said anywhere on this forum so don’t try and put words in my mouth. My point is people turning their noses up at talent in our country and them being looked upon as never being good enough when it’s been PROVEN players at these clubs have made it beyond rangers standards in the not too distant past.

07 Jan 2021 14:56:43
Wondering what people would think if we brought windass back in the summer would like to se him at ibrox again think we are
Missing a player with his flair in the middle of the park at times.

07 Jan 2021 15:19:51
No thanks.

07 Jan 2021 15:33:33
Good goal scorer but had his chance.

07 Jan 2021 15:53:01
Windass hasn't got the inner drive and hunger to be a top pro. I'd rather stick knitting needles in my eyes than have him back thanks.

07 Jan 2021 15:55:23
You must be joking rfc92, he wasn't / isn't anywhere near the standard required and never will be. 👍.

07 Jan 2021 17:08:28
No thanks! He thinks he’s better than he actually is.

07 Jan 2021 18:37:59
You've got to be fishing with that one, never had the correct attitude. Ever seen the film the invisible man, don't bother, just watch one of his games.

07 Jan 2021 18:38:09
Sweet Jesus 🤦🏻‍♂️.

07 Jan 2021 18:41:01
Nope not a chance.

07 Jan 2021 18:41:44
Thinks he's a player. championship/, league 1 his level.

07 Jan 2021 19:02:28
No thanks rfc the union bears have better flares than he did in the middle of the park.

08 Jan 2021 02:18:42
Far too lazy.

07 Jan 2021 11:37:58
What's this 🤡 Jamie Murphy going on about Fulham would win the Scottish Premier and both Rangers and Celtic would struggle in the English Premier . Give them the same riches that they get down south and both would hold their own no problem.
🇦🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

07 Jan 2021 12:05:28
TBH Fulham probably would be very close to winning the SPL.

07 Jan 2021 12:07:10
you mean o hara.

07 Jan 2021 12:10:47
Spot on Cunny, if Rangers and Celtic had the same TV money etc as the EPL both would stroll that league. Top players sign for Man city etc for the cash not because of who the clubs are. These players would sign for Rangers and Celtic who's history and stature and club size is up their with Liverpool and Man Utd. Everton spurs man city etc etc were bang average clubs until money from tv was introduced. 👍.

07 Jan 2021 12:22:02
*jamie o'hara*.

07 Jan 2021 12:52:36
My mistake yes o hara 🇦🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

07 Jan 2021 12:53:44
Spot on Coldo 🇦🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

07 Jan 2021 13:42:13
It's far to easy to say that if we had the TV money we would win the EPL.
Over the last 10 years City have spent £1.4 billion, winning the league 4 times.
Next up is Chelsea who spent £1.36 billion, winning the league 2 times.
Then it's Utd, spending £1 billion, last winning it 8 years ago!
Next up Liverpool, £900 million and winning it last season for the first time in ages.
Then Arsenal, £789 million and last winning it 17 years ago.
Only side that broke the mould were Leicester and they sacked their manager the following season!
Established sides like Everton and Wolves have spent over £200 million!
Brighton always near the relegation zone - £200 million.
Bournemouth and Watford relegated even spent £176 million and £120 million respectively!
We would need to recruit and spend wisely just to be competitive to start with.
Too many forgetting we are a big fish in a small pond in Scotland.

07 Jan 2021 14:14:17
Yes if Fulham had budget like ours or the other mob then yes they would have a chance of winning it and same if we had EPL budget we would be up there challenging for the English title.

07 Jan 2021 14:14:34
if we had their resources we'd win the league. We also know we wouldn't win it every year. We also know we are a big fish in a small pond in scotland, don't know what that has to do with it because the hypothetical scenario was us in the epl with their financial resources. We also know we would have to spend wisely, goes without saying but we'd have players choose us over the majority of average clubs down there so that would be an advantage straight away. Teams like arsenal etc have poor recruitment, like Man utd to a certain extent. We have the club size, stature and fan base. Give us their cash and we would take over. That's why they don't want us. 👍.

07 Jan 2021 14:30:01
MPH I never mentioned Rangers or Celtic would win the EPL straight away that’s just madness, But what I will say given say 5/ 6 years the investment both teams would attract would be amazing, We are discussing about two off the Biggest supported teams in the whole off UK, Eire Only Liverpool or **** Utd maybe come close,
🇦🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

07 Jan 2021 14:51:30
Our recruitment has been criticised at times on here🤷
Point I'm making is that everyone seems to think if we received the same money we would win the league.
I don't see it being that easy when you see the sums of money being spent by the big 6 just to stay there. 👍
And you don't want the players that are currently choosing the "average" clubs like Everton or Wolves. You need the players that City, Utd, Liverpool are bidding for.
There would be no CL or Europa League either for a few seasons which also brings in additional revenue.
But we can all dream I suppose. 🙄.

07 Jan 2021 15:29:30
FC who u refer to alongside Liverpool.

07 Jan 2021 15:47:57
John25 Man utd I don’t like them. I know you are a fan and that is your prerogative. But for me it’s a massive Naw
Liverpool all the way. 🇦🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

07 Jan 2021 15:52:01
You are still forgetting Cunny that the traditional top 6 in the EPL will not be standing still in those 5 years and will continue to enhance / improve there squads.
We would be forever throwing money at it.
It's not as easy as you think.
Liverpool are huge but never won it for 18 years (? ) .
Man Utd haven't won it in 8 years.
Arsenal haven't won it in 17 years.
And they have thrown huge sums of cash into their playing squad.
I'm sure it was Huddersfield ( Ed001 may be able to confirm ) who spent their £100 million and went straight back down.
Plus there is only so many top players out there. Not everyone can buy them or more teams would have won the EPL.

{Ed001's Note - Liverpool didn't win it for 30 years mate. Thanks for the reminder!

Fulham spent £100m and went straight back down. Huddersfield spent a lot less and actually managed to survive first time around.}

07 Jan 2021 16:04:48
City and spurs were mentioned in the average clubs🙄 so yes MPH we would want the players the average clubs were bidding for and with our stature and hypothetical resources we would be competing with utd and liverpool for these players. There is absolute no doubt that if Rangers and Celtic were in that league then the 4 biggest clubs in stature, history and fan base would be Rangers celtic liverpool and man utd (in no particular order) 👍.

07 Jan 2021 17:29:39
Oil fc.

07 Jan 2021 18:31:08
Sorry Ed001! Got my facts wrong!
But at least they won it last season!

{Ed001's Note - no worries mate, I am still celebrating finally winning it. It will probably be 30 years before I stop celebrating!}

07 Jan 2021 18:34:22
Not very good examples Coldo.
Spurs haven't won the title since the 60's so we don't really want the players they buy.
And considering City are supposed to be the only EPL that could afford Messi then I can't see us outbidding then for players!
But we can but dream I suppose🙄.

07 Jan 2021 18:42:49
I am with MPH it’s not easy to win that league an it wouldn’t happen for a long time.

07 Jan 2021 18:55:25
We might be joining you in those long celebrations if we get the job done this season.

{Ed001's Note - it does look likely, it would be a surprise if you aren't.}

08 Jan 2021 02:23:24
Jason cundy from talksport thinks the exact opposite from Ohara . At least we have some support on the station . oh and there’s never Mcoist 😊.

08 Jan 2021 12:18:15
MPH no problem As you said we can But dream 🇦🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

07 Jan 2021 11:34:56
Seeing baza and a few on here making comments about Celtic. there's 10 points in it. we face them twice. let's say they win both games. we have to lose 1 and draw 1 to be level on points. right now our cup finals are against the lesser teams. we beat them, we win the league regardless of old firm games. the last month have seen us drop off in form. i'd love to see a tricky right winger come in to freshen us up.

07 Jan 2021 13:42:58
Or a left winger who can regain his early season form.

07 Jan 2021 16:05:26
Or a ST who scores🙄👍.

07 Jan 2021 16:07:55
League is far from over in my eyes. If we can get through January keeping the same distance between us and them then I think we’ll be fine. Aberdeen game is huge because it will knock the stuffing out of our neighbours if we win.

07 Jan 2021 18:25:55
I don't think we should be overestimating Celtic's ability, we are the only ones who can lose this league.

07 Jan 2021 18:36:05
We have a striker in Roofe who scores and a 2nd striker in Arfield (😜) who scores ( but only when we played the mythical 4-4-2). 🤓😂🤓👀.

07 Jan 2021 19:17:54
I'm just as nervous about this Sunday's game as I was last week simply because as stated earlier, we are just not playing at our maximum game.

07 Jan 2021
New image uploaded to the
Rangers Player Sightings page entitled, They hung out the beach towels

07 Jan 2021 11:19:25
What barry ferguson is saying is true they could go on an unbeaten run we got to match them. That doesn't mean they win every game they will be draws there too. We can't be complacent like last two seasons. Best way for us to look at it is them winning all there games apart from us. That way we know what we have to do.

07 Jan 2021 12:06:46
Rangers will win at least one of the OF games though, having Jack and Arfield back makes the midfield battle different prospect for celtic next time around.

07 Jan 2021 12:25:51
Exactly, we should be looking at it as they will win all there games. its highly unlikely but Will keep us on our toes, no slip ups 👍.

07 Jan 2021 12:43:54
Barry said they will go unbeaten meaning they will beat us twice? Nonsense . sorry Barry!

07 Jan 2021 13:13:37
I agree HWG its mind games and exactly how our mindset should be. Kris Boyd used to take pelters on here for some of his opinions and now that he's winding up the tims at every opportunity he's now a legend and all is forgiven. If it suits its a winner and if it doesn't you're a tim. 👍.

07 Jan 2021 15:23:20
Brian it could be to draws.

Review Of The Day 7th January 2021

07 Jan 2021 07:39:03
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 7th January 2021

06 Jan 2021 23:06:46
Anyone think Daniel Johnson will be coming up to us this year as his contract ends seen an article there he has rejected a bumper pay rise and new contract?

07 Jan 2021 09:16:44
Possibly stig, was he not linked to us in the summer? Don't know much about him to be honest.

07 Jan 2021 09:41:22
With transfer fee we get from RB liepzig we could get Daniel Johnston
Lungstram and Doughy from charlton.

07 Jan 2021 10:32:03
Never seen the lad play but is rated by Preston manager, Alex Neil.
Going by his stats he is available for free in the summer, 4 years younger than Arfield and scores as many goals as Arfield does.
We were reportedly interested in the summer?

07 Jan 2021 11:30:18
What fee from RB Leipzig?

07 Jan 2021 11:38:15
He seems ok, him and lundstrum on frees would be good business imo.
