Ravel Morrison available on a free, thoughts?

07 Jan 2017 18:51:30
Good player but would wages would be big and has a bad reputation for being disruptive.

07 Jan 2017 21:49:31
Training with Wigan apparently.

07 Jan 2017 22:55:49
Emerson Hyndman anyone?

08 Jan 2017 11:10:02
IT doesn't matter what names we think would do a job for us, warbs has his own targets and it won't be anyone we suggest

08 Jan 2017 11:11:40
You read the Sunday mail lol

07 Jan 2017 17:23:24
Waghorn doing 'superior striker' sessions during the winter break. He was about to do these before he got injured last season. If it's good enough for Andre Gray and many others then fair play to him. Nobody can accuse him of not trying to get better. Hats off.

07 Jan 2017 18:33:39
JM, What exactly are "superior striker" sessions?

07 Jan 2017 20:00:33
You sit in a room and watch videos of Moussa Dembele Fd.

07 Jan 2017 20:02:14
Its a service players pay for where they get individual attacking coaching which helps them adapt to different attacking situations. Looks like the guy knows what he's doing too

07 Jan 2017 20:41:37
Well done to Waghorn but shouldn't he and our other strikers be getting this quality of coaching at Rangers. Maybe they do one for midfield players and defenders as well that some of our other players could attend!

07 Jan 2017 21:28:46
I hope he learns to pass the ball when he's at there aswell the greedy basturk

08 Jan 2017 12:09:46
But confused by this "superior striking" stuff, sounds like a wind up. Are you telling me that we don't provide first class coaching inhouse and that some external company is used by players for "superior" coaching?

08 Jan 2017 12:33:04
Looking at the way our entire team has been playing recently I am dubious of the training methods deployed! We could do with employing an external company to coach the entire team how to tackle and fight for the jersey!

08 Jan 2017 12:53:16
Fd, the company he mentions does exist, quite a few high profile strikers have used it

08 Jan 2017 15:05:53
Waghorn also did this during the summer, I'm sure the video was posted on here around July. Good luck to the guy, nothing wrong with trying to get better, at least he realises he needs to.

08 Jan 2017 15:10:16
So not only do your players go to a&e when they're injured but they pay for their own training sessions too. Someone is takin the piss out of yous n yous are too daft to see it. Bring on the £30m war chest we welcome the chase.

08 Jan 2017 17:01:02
Hope they can teach him to use his right foot.

TBH I find this outsourcing of specialist training a bit of a joke. MW and his staff should get a grip.

08 Jan 2017 18:12:35
What's the big issue? BPL players use these coaches! Berahino I know for fact is one!

08 Jan 2017 19:54:48
It's a coaching school guy that runs it is on soccer am on sky quite a lot, frightening technique u should see his finishing I don't know why he doesn't play we should maybe sign him rather than get him to train waghorn lol,

07 Jan 2017 17:22:21
Did you see that Aberdeen signed that Turkish lad, yerda sellsavon?

07 Jan 2017 17:43:47
He should make them some dough in the future he's meant to have a lot ot customers

07 Jan 2017 18:45:12
Good player, could be a bit soft for up here, although delightful right foot.

07 Jan 2017 14:53:05
Jon Toral left on the bench today, unused sub. Hopefully get that one over the line soon.

07 Jan 2017 16:09:03
Still not convinced by signing these guys on loan, ok they are good players and could have a good few months with us but then there going elsewhere! We need to improve our team for next year not do that by taking guys who are looking for game time! If we can't finish 2nd with the squad we have then there is major problems! Any money that goes out the door must be put towards improving our squad and closing the gap! Paying torals wage for reat of season is money down the drain

07 Jan 2017 16:31:49
If you bring in a player on loan and they do well then it benefits us and them, if they're are poor then you say goodbye.

If we don't use loans then we run the risk of being caught short with injuries, leading to putting inexperienced youngsters into the first team prematurely.

One or two would probably flourish while most would crumble under the pressure placed upon them by expectation, management and media.

It's better to use loan systems than shun them because we have our own developing players.

07 Jan 2017 18:31:05
I don't think we are that short we would have to rely on many youngsters tbh, it is just an opinion and i'm not against loaning players usually but in this window and how the league table is at the moment I would rather we signed permanent players who will help close the gap over next year or so or i'd rather we didn't spend a dime

07 Jan 2017 19:07:28
Im with u on that 1 Nic, as we're not going to win the league its no exactly going to benefit us when they leave in the summer and if they do well its more than likley a championship/ prem team will just buy them. i know its harder to buy good players in Jan but i'd much rather try and get permanent players in and ready for nxt season as it can take players time to get use to the demands rather than have a couple of players that are just going to go back to there own clubs in the summer

07 Jan 2017 19:56:11
Even if we don't bring anyone in its more cash for summer i'd be trying to sort through and find the best available pre contracts that we can get signed up! that's where we need to shop unfortunately but i'm sure with plenty of effort we could find some value there! If we're still light after we've shopped around in the summer thens the time to bring in loan players

07 Jan 2017 20:44:47
We should already have sorted through the list of players that are available in the summer and we should be in discussions with them now. There is a significant list of decent quality players across Europe that would be worth securing. Unfortunately that takes investment so I doubt we will be doing any of this!

07 Jan 2017 21:18:54
looks like Jota came off the bench for Brentford today so don't think he can sign for us as we would be the 3rd diff team he had played for in a season.

hope we can sign Toral tho - he does look like he has a bit of guile which we need in final 1/ 3

07 Jan 2017 21:56:44
He's on loan at Grenada in Spain so I doubt he's been near a Brentford bench in a while.

07 Jan 2017 21:57:25
My bad El Minto, I misread jota!

07 Jan 2017 14:35:36
Any player can look good on youtube but the 2 main questions I have are:

1. Who is Jon Toral going to be playing all these through balls to if garner and miller keep dropping deep?

2. Is Toral going to be going beyond the forward as seen towards the end of the below video?

07 Jan 2017 18:34:14
Who will Toral replace?

08 Jan 2017 10:35:37
TOMUSA

Take your pick none of our midfield have been good so far

07 Jan 2017 12:42:21
Lafferty is a no brainer - he is top quality (Northern Ireland form) and a Rangers man, having him up top holding the ball up for Windass, McKay, Waghorn.

If Crooks, Rossiter aren't going to be fit a strong holding MF is required, open the cheque-book as this is a crucial position.

07 Jan 2017 13:09:35
Does our management team not have passports? Surely there are better, more cultured players in Scandinavia, the lower leagues in Germany, Italy and Spain and in the Eastern European countries than Lafferty! Despite media comment to the contrary our Scouting System and McParland, don't exactly appear to be uncovering any real quality bargains.

07 Jan 2017 13:12:46
forget what lafferty done in past for a minute. is he a better striker than we have. YES in my opinion

07 Jan 2017 14:32:31
Lafferty is better than we have. Fans seem to forget the uproar when kenny miller came after playing for celtic. Fans actually chanted anti miller songs when it was rumoured he was coming back. If lafferty comes back and scores all the bad feeling will be forgotten. The same as it was with miller.

07 Jan 2017 15:50:21
Miller never took the club to court.

07 Jan 2017 16:01:49
It was the pfa that took rangers to court. And they were obviously within there rights. At least he didn't have a press conference like naismith and whittaker and basically say rangers were dead.

07 Jan 2017 16:51:02
It was Naismith who started all this sevco rubbish he said I've quit sevco not rangers. definitely don't want him back . rangers stood by him with his bad injury

07 Jan 2017 17:42:12
Get naisy and big lafferty back for me there better than all the strikers we got except Kenny no what's expected every game win unlike greedy players and telling people to calm down in an old firm when your getting beat for me that's a disgrace get the players back now forget flair players

07 Jan 2017 18:37:00
You say Lafferty is better than what we have but is he the best we can get. If that is the case then I would ask the question, what in Hades is our Scouting system and McParland in particular doing. We should be signing better players than Lafferty!

07 Jan 2017 20:42:56
Tom we are completely skint in case you've missed it. In years going by lafferty wouldn't of got near the team. Times of changed we are shopping in oxfam at the minute. We won't spend a penny this January in transfer fees.

07 Jan 2017 20:55:09
He's some rangers man you say! I don't think so mate! He'll never ever be welcome at ibrox as far as i'm concerned! I go everywhere supporting glasgow rangers and i don't want this deserting lump of wood who goes by the name kyle lafferty, anywhere near our club!

07 Jan 2017 21:32:15
If we could get Lafferty for buttons he'd definitely b worth a punt as he's got better and matured since he left in 2012 and also his expeirience at playing in different countries will have made him a better player

07 Jan 2017 23:40:30
Supercoop

Couldn't have put it better myself can't believe some people want him back

09 Jan 2017 07:27:05
So stewie and supercooper, if your employer was going down the tubes wouldn't you look after yourself and your family financially if u were offered another job on more money? These guys would have known better than us what was going on at time and I was angry at them at the time myself, but I for one no longer blame them for looking out for there own careers

07 Jan 2017 09:41:14
Toral has a history of knee problems apparently. think warbs wants to be sacked.

07 Jan 2017 10:36:18
I think that's in the contract when you become Rangers manager that you have to sogn players who have a history of knee problems

07 Jan 2017 12:13:57
The injuries happened 6 years ago. Ignore what the media have said.

07 Jan 2017 12:33:32
Don't think he would get birminghams player of the year if he was injured all the time

07 Jan 2017 09:01:50
What do you guys think about Jason Cummings? Watched him last night against the dabs and think he's a brilliant young player, I know he's a bit mad off of the pitch but think if we could nurture him we would be on to something very special, would love to see him at ibrox soon

07 Jan 2017 10:17:38
Seems like a ned/ fudd.

I might be wrong but I think all his goals have been scored in the championship and cups, never in the premiership.

We have a few who scored goals in the championship and they can't cut it in the premiership.

07 Jan 2017 10:38:59
No thanks, best avoided! Do you not hear what they shout when he gets the ball. we don't need any more embarrassment
