07 Dec 2020 21:19:42
Was listening to super score board and Tony the tim from Grangemouth says they will still win the league and apparently we aren't even a good team๐Ÿ˜… one of our own a Andy halliday put him in his place though. Now I'm not making comment on us winning the league as its one game at a time from our view but to say we aren't a good team they are losing the plot. Looking forward to another Sunday funday.

08 Dec 2020 05:31:28
He's obviously related too or a close friend of leigh Griffiths.
I don't listen scoreboard but there's loads of clips on you tube and it's a wee bit addictive listening to them all moaning about everything celtic. Lots of them threatening to not renew their tickets, buy merchandise etc until there's a new board in place.
A club like no other ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคก.

New image uploaded to the
Rangers Player Sightings page entitled, Merry Christmas fellow bears ๐Ÿ”ดโšช๐Ÿ”ต

07 Dec 2020 20:13:28
Excellent Christmas card Bluebell, ๐Ÿ‘.

07 Dec 2020 20:47:23
nice one.

08 Dec 2020 01:21:47
Looks like one of tomthumb12 masterpieces.
Have you been making Xmas cards Tam?

08 Dec 2020 09:51:23
Gonna print that one out B Andy, nice one and many thanks my friend.

All the best.

07 Dec 2020 18:59:12
Was reading on the rumours site of sgl Tav story, some people were talking about him being scared everytime he faced Tierney, the reason Tav was so scared was the fans, and not Tierney himself, now without fans Tav is flying and clearly enjoying every minute of games, Rangers players are playing naturally without fear just now and i'm more than happy not to get in all season and next if they carry on as they are, they are doing fine thanks, and its also obvious they are missing a full parkhead more than we're missing a packed ibrox, quite a few are enjoying the freedom now, I said on day one the empty stadia, particularly ibrox is a massive levelling criteria and Rangers players are thriving on it, long may it continue, until we're 20 clear at least,

07 Dec 2020 21:24:02
I think you under estimate your captain and your team.

07 Dec 2020 23:01:22
Not in the slightest kiddo, but you can take it back with you, I donโ€™t mind, tell them you got it on your hourly visits to the Rangers forum, our captain is brilliant, yours is a washed up waste of kebabs.

08 Dec 2020 05:12:05
Haha washed up waste of kebabs.
Q. What's the difference between broony and a king kebab?
A. A king kebab lasts more than a hour.

08 Dec 2020 06:54:32
My hourly visit? Kiddo? Behave ya self ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ.

08 Dec 2020 06:58:37
Rangers just didn't know how to break down packed defences last season! Nothing to do with bottle or fans, we dominated most games with no end result in the final third! This season the formation along with some good editions have changed that! Nothing to do with bottle because of crowd pressure! Some of our best performances came away from home in front of packed hostile crowds.

08 Dec 2020 08:10:36
All professional footballers need the buzz from the fans, this Rangers team will thrive in any situation, because we have quality, and quality brings confidence. The other mob are in total meltdown, and it's long overdue, their arrogance and smugness was nauseating. so let's pile it on guys.

07 Dec 2020 18:50:38
Is it true that Peter Liswell has installed a speed camera outside Celtic park in the hope of picking up 3 points.

07 Dec 2020 18:59:08
Nice one robbie,
Not many of their team would get 3 points though.
There not fast enough ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ.

07 Dec 2020 19:58:36
Letโ€™s give it another couple of months before we get too far ahead of ourselves eh, long long walk ahead,

07 Dec 2020 20:19:03
I agree Tomthumb12 ๐Ÿ‘We haven't won anything yet but its enjoyable for our supporters to have a bit of bragging rights with the way things are currently going ๐Ÿ‘By god all us rangers supporters deserve it!

07 Dec 2020 20:31:48
Correct TT along way to go and anything can happen.

07 Dec 2020 20:59:18
Long way to go very good start but .

I must admit was sceltical about Davis . This season heโ€™s been playing his football like a 23 year old.

I also seen Rangers men on this site slagging Barasic in his first season . I kept saying to my pals your not Croatiaโ€™s left back if your not a good player.

Be the first to admit Iโ€™ve been on Kameras back before saying loses the ball in dangerous areas and lightweight in the tackle .

I hope these guys continue providing me wrong because the results have been great so far and some of the football we have been playing has been very easy on the eye.

07 Dec 2020 23:09:03
As someone who has family in Split I was aware borna was a very decent player, he will probably be away in summer so letโ€™s enjoy while we can, his kind of player is hugely prized nowadays.

08 Dec 2020 09:01:27
Borna Barisic i also think will be away for big money in the summer ๐Ÿ˜ž
He's a fantastic left back ๐Ÿ‘Œ.

07 Dec 2020 13:48:07
Not getting carried away at all it's December . We have had a brilliant start. If the manky mob had our defensive record there back four would be worth ยฃ200m

Gerrard doesn't seem to be getting ahead of himself either which I love.

Europe chance to top the group put us further on the football map.

Our game yesterday. Davis cutting through ball for the first goal. Just brilliant he has no right at 35 years old to still be bossing the midfield well done . Same needs to be said for Goldsons pass through to Tav for the third goal these are the (killer passes) or cutting balls we missed last year.

Keep it up the Rangers.

07 Dec 2020 15:06:52
With regard to yesyerdays o. g. which had it gone through Morelos would have had a tap in. Seconds after that the camera showed Taverneir consolling Morelos as if to say "Don't worry the goals will come". A captains role without doubt.

07 Dec 2020 15:21:32
But apparently Tav is never a Rangers captain, Bluetoon๐Ÿค”.

07 Dec 2020 15:22:50
Your spot on Anotherbear, Davis vision is outstanding, the mans a treasure.

07 Dec 2020 18:50:03
Clyde 1 haha its like a problem page fur tims.

07 Dec 2020 18:51:15
Oh no ones listening we don't care ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ.

07 Dec 2020 18:56:44
You're a real Rangers captain when you start lifting trophies in my opinion Mr. PH and surely you can't be comparing his current form to the form shown in the second half of last 3/ 4 season.

07 Dec 2020 20:01:08
Putting your arm round someone does not a captain make.

07 Dec 2020 20:23:00
AnotherBear, i agree mate wee davo is still a wee gem of a midfielder and like i continually say, most definitely deserves at least another one year deal๐Ÿ‘ŒI remember several months ago on here, one or two said get rid of steven davis, he's finished ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚I told them then that he was nowhere near finished!

07 Dec 2020 21:12:52
What Davis can bring in terms of skill and game management is priceless probably the most consistent midfielder in Scotland this year
I would like to see him for at least another year. Probably wonโ€™t get many full games but to have him around the squad helping the youngsters is invaluable.

07 Dec 2020 21:58:53
Tomthumb12 in your opinion what makes a captain?

07 Dec 2020 23:14:02
Many different captain bring many different things, so many different types of players and characters, so no one thing really, except in special cases, like butcher, gough, Grieg, and McNeil, and in England, Moore, robson among others.

07 Dec 2020 23:41:22
He may have been saying โ€œ you havnt parked next to me have you Alf โ€œ.

07 Dec 2020 13:43:30
Hi
Rangers are beginning to reap the benefits of taking a chance with Gerrard, he was brought in to put a Rangers team together to challenge Celtic on all fronts etc.

He now looks to have done that and a lot more.

BR seen this day coming and got out of Celtic asap.

And now it looks like he is getting Lennon the sack.

He has got the eye for a player and has the respect of many.

Gerrard is still learning and will only get better.

We may only have him for another few seasons, but he will leave us in a good place.

Celtic are a team in big trouble, thanks Gerrard and the team.

07 Dec 2020 15:24:30
Chased Brendan out of townโ˜‘๏ธ
Getting Lurgan Flopp the sackโ˜‘๏ธ
The Celtic Family fenced out of Celtic Parkโ˜‘๏ธ
Made Tierney quit his boyhood heroes โ˜‘๏ธ
Gerrard - Legend in the making when he secures 55โ˜‘๏ธ.

07 Dec 2020 16:24:34
Who would have thought we would have been undefeated after 16 league games,45 goals scored and 3 conceded,
I'll guess no one, what a start. Not forgetting europa aswell, thank you Stevie G for making us ๐Ÿ˜Š happy again and causing a massive meltdown in the East end, keep up the excellent work.

07 Dec 2020 17:06:27
Tattie head we/ SG never chased BR out of town and never made KT quit either .

Complete and utter nonsense you are posting.

07 Dec 2020 18:43:38
Kt left because they fancied the money.

07 Dec 2020 20:08:41
Tierney also on 75 grand a week now. His move away from them was inevitable.

07 Dec 2020 20:34:05
KT actually left for family reason and you can blame his father for it.

07 Dec 2020 23:43:49
Blame his father, for him leaving the country? Nothing to do with the 70,000 weekly wage then,

07 Dec 2020 13:28:18
There once was a donkey from derry

Came trotting to Glasgow so merry

Hove Albion were delighted

They thought he'd get knighted

Now the mhanks punt him on an irish ferry.

07 Dec 2020 12:53:55
I remember going too pittodrie on my supporters bus years ago I kidded on I was younger so I only paid juvenile on way up I bought raffle tickets and won a bottle of malt whiskey but they didn't give me it they said i was too young : ( that back fired eh!

07 Dec 2020 12:20:45
Quick question lads and I know this team hasn't won anything yet but were do we rate this team in comparison to our nine in a row teams.

07 Dec 2020 12:33:54
That's a hard one. This team cost a lot less in relative terms than some of those that were played back then, and some of the individuals we had, like Laudrup, Gazza etc are far above our current players, but in terms of achievement, and having come from where we were, I think this team will be heroes for a generation if we win the league this year.

07 Dec 2020 12:34:14
Our 9iar teams would destroy this one in my opinion.

07 Dec 2020 12:48:43
No comparison mate!
Yes, we are playing extremely well, but our 9iar team cleaned up domestically (against a far superior Celtic team to the one now), regularly represented us in the champs league (one win away from reaching the final in 92/ 93 season) and had resources (well, debatable) to spend millions on players of the calibre of Gazza and Laudrup.

07 Dec 2020 12:49:28
Hard to judge that mate, as walter smith had a helluva lot more money to spend on the team than steven gerrard has had to spend on his rangers team ๐Ÿค”Yes there was undoubtedly more quality in our 9iar winning team, but it doesn't smear the fact that gerrard and his management team, have done a terrific job in what they've built to date and not finished yet ๐Ÿ‘Œ.

07 Dec 2020 12:53:15
Ger1 not even close.

07 Dec 2020 13:07:11
Slim Jim, agreed
BUT IF we were to get, #55, my oh my, a wee bit of history there for them to aim at.

07 Dec 2020 13:17:09
9 in a row team would win without breaking sweat.

{Ed001's Note - oh I dunno, they must be in their 50s by now, they probably would work up a sweat just putting their boots on these days...}

07 Dec 2020 13:26:31
Destroy, never. We've got a great team.

07 Dec 2020 13:26:55
yah the 9iar would hammer this current team but to be honest i am more proud of this team if we get the job done. on much less of a budget, with a rookie manager and coming from where we have been will make it even more satisfying. The icing on the cake would be that we have a full house at Ibrox to watch them lift the trophy.

07 Dec 2020 14:03:01
Slim is right in my opinion guys.

07 Dec 2020 14:11:30
Slim jim i agree with u.

07 Dec 2020 14:14:26
Destroy I doubt.

07 Dec 2020 14:52:08
Sgl am pretty sure gerrard has spent close to 30mill.

07 Dec 2020 14:52:56
Ed thatโ€™s a good one but the team the now still wouldnโ€™t get close to them ๐Ÿ‘.

07 Dec 2020 15:15:51
There is an old saying 'Comparisons are odious', which basically means that it is unfair and pointless to compare certain things, people, etc as it is out of context. The money Murray 'had' in the 90s to bankroll the great 9-in-a-row teams can't be compared to now. We had Laudrup, De Boer, Gazza, Butcher, Numan and all the rest. However, I think nowadays there isn't a better midfielder in the UK than Steve Davis. His sublime pass on Sunday which led to Roofe's goal was out of this world. We've also got talent like Barisic, Goldson, Tav, Jack, Kent, Kamara. They are exceptionally good players. Forget the past, live in the moment.

07 Dec 2020 15:30:31
Ok, which of our best starting 11 today would get into the best starting 11 of a 9iar team? And If you nominate one you have to say who they would replace?
For example McGregor would get in before Goram.
I don't see any of our current players getting into a 9iar team. However, when it comes to achievements, If we win the league I'm with geesadod on this one and I think it is right up there with winning 9iar considering everything we've been through!

07 Dec 2020 15:42:23
Comparison is impossible and not just because of money.

Modern players are fitter buy miles. Training, diet, sport science in general as well as coaching and detailed analysis means that it is difficult.

9iar at their peak v today's team at their peak - I wouldn't right of today's team.

Some of the 9iar team would never have been able to cope with modern training, diet etc.

07 Dec 2020 16:13:25
Spot on DK19. You just need to look at reruns of old games. Some of the players had beerbellies and turned slower than Titanic. The present team wpuld win hands down, however given the exact same fitness and coaching regimes the old team would win as their class would come through in the end.

07 Dec 2020 16:13:30
The celtic team were a poor team for most of our 9iar.

07 Dec 2020 16:25:38
Really, sweep1? Not the ones I saw against us, and I saw them all. Tommy Burns had some excellent teams, we were just better.

07 Dec 2020 16:49:08
The Celtic team under Tam Burns were a fantastic team, they just couldn't beat us! Let's be honest, there were times at Parkhead when they outplayed us, but we found a way of getting the result.

07 Dec 2020 16:52:31
Tommy burns' celtic team were a terrific team and lost the league because they couldn't get the better of rangers head to head/ andy goram ๐Ÿ‘Œ So i agree with you tavsonloyal ๐Ÿ‘I seen them all also mate.

07 Dec 2020 17:17:06
For about the 1st 7 years of the 9iar they were pathetic opposition. They never finished 2nd once until 8iar.

07 Dec 2020 17:53:08
Spot on DK had a very similar conversation the other day
Players now have to be athletes
Players back then could have a bevy and play the next day ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.

07 Dec 2020 21:28:24
That's right, the stig, the team nowadays is fitter than a butcher's dog and would run all day. The players of old would be blowing out their arses. Not their fault, that's just how it was then. Players will probably not play now unless they are fully fit. Back in the 50's my dad played in the same Dundee team as the great Billy Steel. Steel made his feelings known, shall we say, when it was suggested for him. "No effin chance, eff off, you don't know what effin damage you could be doin" (or similar) At that time lots of players would take pain killing injections to get them through a game. I remember watching the club doctor injecting an injury on live tv. Hasn't happened for quite a while though.

07 Dec 2020 12:09:29
anybody had a look at the daily rebel today, jackson and keevins going into meltdown about dave king, oh the joy to see their crocodile tears, pair of muppets.

07 Dec 2020 12:27:57
Seen Jacksonโ€™s article online this morning, Celtic fans rioting in the streets again and trying to attack the team bus and his Monday headline is a negative article about Rangers! Deflection as usual. Must say I listen to SSB quite a lot and Keevins has been nothing but full of praise for Rangers this season.

07 Dec 2020 13:00:00
He might be full of praise, fruitBear, but it's through gritted teeth!

07 Dec 2020 13:24:35
Keevins moon howler comment last night had me in stitches ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ.

07 Dec 2020 14:48:03
Aye Keevins clearly hates talking up Rangers but still does it, much to the chagrin (Monday word) of the mhasses.

07 Dec 2020 17:05:15
I stopped buying the daily rebel nearly 3 years ago because of Keith Jackson's daily onslaught about Dave King. According to some of you he's still at it?

07 Dec 2020 21:29:19
Haven't bought a paper for about 20 years.

07 Dec 2020 12:00:58
Does anyone else notice the similarities between the two seasons, last year we couldn't break down defences this year we can, but this year Celtic are facing this same problem and they can't .

07 Dec 2020 11:15:15
Tommy Sheridan next rant will ok this season's league is a write off let's group together and focus on 10 iar next season.

07 Dec 2020 14:14:57
Snow off a dyke.

07 Dec 2020 21:30:52
Aye very good guys. What an absolute roaster he is. IQ in single figures I hear.

07 Dec 2020 11:55:36
Dave king needs a stand named after him. after watching his interview and what he's had to ho through to keep rangers afloat us truly remarkable. what we hear in the media doesn't come close to the sacrifices king and his family have made for rangers.

07 Dec 2020 12:33:40
Yes Davie well put . A lot of us knew and appreciated from the start. The mans health suffered because he took on the pressure while a lot of the rank and file doubted him and infact slandered him .
To see him unfurl the flag will bring a tear to my eye.
Again as I have said baby times . thank you mr king . thank you for taking on Ashley. God only knows where we would have ended up without your efforts. We salute you.

07 Dec 2020 12:54:44
I totally agree guys, dave king ๐Ÿ‘‘ has carried out what he said and a major factor along with us the supporters of course, to where we're proudly sitting now. The guy has left his mark/ legacy who sacrificed a lot to save the club he loves ๐Ÿ‘Dave King ๐Ÿ‘‘ most definitely has his placed etched, in the history of the famous glasgow rangers for eternity ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘.

07 Dec 2020 14:09:23
120% agree molsgoals! Well said sir!

07 Dec 2020 11:42:18
Its great to see the type of football we are playing now, and like a lot of you, I can remember standing on the slopes of Ibrox park through both good times and bad before the Souness / Smith Era.

I never thought I would miss the drivel that the season ticket holder behind me spouts during a match, but I'd give anything now to hear his patter.
This got me thinking about some of the banter over many of my 55 years Born a Rangers man and wondered if my fellow bears would like to share some of their banter to give us all a wee laugh.

Here's one of the many fond memories of my supporters bus.
We were at the old Piggery and as I recall, some bricks allegedly collapsed at a turnstile in the Rangers end. One of our lads from the bus was worse for wear, and he told us inside the ground this had happened when he was just through the turnstile. He went on to say this must surely be a lucky day.

I remember standing up on the old stanchion after we scored and saw him tumbling down the steps only to be caught at the bottom and huckled by Glasgow's finest. It was indeed a Lucky day for Rangers as we won, but not so for him. He was charged, drunk and disorderly and whilst in the back of the van some chap fed him a line about how the police always took his wallet off him when he got lifted and kept his cash.

So the wee man agreed to hold the chap's wallet for him until they got out, now remember the wee mans pished. When he gets to the station he hands over his two wallets, the one he agreed to hold was later reported as stolen and he was charged with pickpocketing.

Every time he came on the bus after that, you would always hear the shout "mind yer wallets lads here comes fingers"
Still referred to as Fingers to this day.

07 Dec 2020 11:05:09
Another win.
Another clean sheet.
Another big game on Thursday from a financial point of view that also raises the profile of the club if we can finish top of the group.
What's not to love at this moment in time? ๐Ÿ”ดโšช๐Ÿ”ต.

07 Dec 2020 10:48:25
Now read Dave Kings take on Stevie's future at Rangers .

Interesting as it is, it would have been better left unsaid till we see how we end this season.

We all know Stevie is here to prove himself as a manager and eventually take over the managers job at Liverpool.

I also believe Stevie is not motivated by money as he already is a multi millionaire and thrives on getting results from his team.

Any thoughts on this guys? .

07 Dec 2020 11:39:02
Much as he seems to love Rangers we can't lose sight of the fact that in the grand scheme of things the Scottish league is small fry compared to down south and if a club like Liverpool come a calling there will only be one outcome. Was actually thinking about it yesterday. When you have grounds like Ross Cpunty, Hamilton, Kilmarnock, Livingston etc, in your top flight you will always be small fry.

07 Dec 2020 11:54:07
Blue billy no matter what happens Stevie stays at end off season.

07 Dec 2020 12:09:35
Yup with you on that John25 mate, and hopefully longer.

07 Dec 2020 12:56:28
Wait till u see the cry if we donโ€™t win league. I think we will but must keep focus.

07 Dec 2020 15:41:04
Maybe it's just possible that Gerrard now has so much love for our club that he won't even be thinking about leaving for at least a couple of years or more?
Blue Billy, you said "We all know Stevie is here to prove himself as a manager and eventually take over the managers job at Liverpool. " But do we? And what is the timescale on that? Surely if Klopp was to go in the next year or two then Liverpool would be looking to replace him with a far more experienced manager than Gerrard? There could be one more Anfield boss before Stevie G is ready for such a move, so I'd like to believe he will be here a bit longer than most fans think.

07 Dec 2020 16:05:34
John25 there are people on this site have already said that if we don't win the league this season he has to go. I have always used Alex Ferguson as an example of a manager requiring lots of time. Don't forget it took 3 years for him to win silverware.

07 Dec 2020 16:14:49
Exactly blue toon. I read on here last week beavers should be the manager as he told Steve how to win on Thursday night.
We have some great lip readers.
Itโ€™s a management team, beavers analyses during game, culshaw, does all set pieces. In and around both boxes, Sg makes the decisions and takes responsibility particularly when it goes wrong.
Itโ€™s a management team.

07 Dec 2020 08:01:33
Gerrard's team go marching on with another impressive display yesterday. Still unbeaten and looking unbeatable. I do however think we shouldn't get too carried away mocking the unwashed and gloating. We have five league games before the end of December, 3 of them away from home. Let's see where we are going into the next Old Firm game on 2nd January. And in January, after the Old Firm game we have away games against Aberdeen and Hibs. Stay at least 13 points clear by the end of January and it will be looking very good indeed. Let's concentrate on the Famous and not the unwashed. The time for gloating will be when we secure #55!

07 Dec 2020 08:47:42
They look like dropping points in every game! And the more they do the pressure mounts on them! I truly believe they will drop more points before we destroy them at Ibrox.

07 Dec 2020 09:27:46
I'll take any chance to gloat at Celtic being in disarray and their current misfortune.
It's what rival fans do. ๐Ÿ‘.

07 Dec 2020 09:47:03
No harm having banter and giving that lots supporters a taste of their own medicine MrPotatoHead, but in the other hand there's still a lot of work to be done pal and nothing is won yet! I'm quietly confident we'll go on and win title no.55๐Ÿคž. I've said this when i totally backed gerrard last season also and stated all along this would take at least 3 years and that steven gerrard would win the league as rangers manager ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿคž.

07 Dec 2020 10:01:27
Doiger Iโ€™m with you here, letโ€™s gloat if and when we win something ๐Ÿ‘.

07 Dec 2020 10:09:28
Nope, I'm choosing to gloat. Lennon is staying which is fantastic news.

07 Dec 2020 10:18:08
I can agree with you DOIGER let's not get complacent and as Stevie says one game at a time Mate.

Course we as supporters find it hard not to gloat so that's fine with me, so long as our squad don't gloat to the media as too often Iv'e seen broon and his lot gloating that came back to bite them on the ass (we had a couple like that as well tho) .

07 Dec 2020 11:17:05
If the boot was on the other foot Buzz and the Buzzettes would be ripping us to pieces, and we would be speechless, how could you defend the chaotic shambles in the East end.
And the fun hasn't finished yet, prepare for more laughs to come.
Get it up them.

07 Dec 2020 11:22:19
Lets home killie go there at the weekend and set up like they usually do hard to break down. Pile on the misery.

Review Of The Day 7th December 2020

07 Dec 2020 07:39:03
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 7th December 2020

07 Dec 2020 06:56:14
Andy Gray he's one of our own ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง.
