Longshot alert! But I would love to see us sign Ronaldinho for 1 season. He is still the most technically gifted player on the planet and is currently playing In Mexico but who knows maybe at the age of 35 he would fancy one last hoorah and play in Europe. He would be just about our average age! Lol

Look at some of his latest vids in his current spell in Mexico, would rip our beloved Miller a knew one. Broaden your horizons guys! It is only banter but I would be one happy lad if it actually happened

I saw big Peter McCloy playing in goals a few weeks ago at the 5 aside he may also be worth singing for a couple of seasons, what do you think lads? He is only 68 years old
He must have a few seasons left in him yet.
O the Banter.

Very good gkk lol that point apart (scotland part of europe ) his wages must b massive and bringing old players in for a small time never works roy keane!!

I see Graig Patterson saying that Rangers should give our 37 year old Captain Calamity another contract as a player/ coach your thoughts guys!
Me : I think this would be a backward step we need to clear the deck and freshen up our coaching system!

Believable7 Unbelievable1

is he on drugs or something he is no davie weir let him get contract elsewhere

Agree7 Disagree2

07 Apr 2015 20:13:58
Our centre half bilel mohsni is seemingly in talks with the tunisian champions about signing for them,I really think if big mohsni sticks to defending & keeps focused,he's the best centre half we have at rangers,I honestly don't want big mohsni to leave and would prefer us to give him a new contract,I would be sad if we parted company with this big character as there most certainly is a good centre half within mohsni, the thing is he doesn't want mccall to use him as a utility player and this is why he's seemingly looking to leave as mccall won't give him the guarantee of first team football,if the big man does leave I wish him all the very best of luck for the future!

Believable4 Unbelievable11

07 Apr 2015 21:39:57
The biggest problem moshni has is he can't concentrate for 90 mins and switches off far to easily especially when we play so called lesser opposition when he thinks he is above their standard and his mind wanders and makes crucial and casual errors . I would let him go because there is always a mistake waiting to happen with him

Agree3 Disagree0

08 Apr 2015 08:16:38
For all I agree he is a good defender, I feel like these mistakes are never going to leave his game. The better a game he seems to have in defence, the more he thinks he has the ability to beat players and play the hard pass instead of clearing or just giving the ball to a teammate. He was brilliant when he came on on sunday. But for every good performance is the chance of a catastrophic mistake. If we are up next year we can't risk it

Haris vuckic has stated today that he WON'T be going back to newcastle and wants to stay & sign for rangers for the longterm,he says he wants to play & score against celtic,I know that ashley holds the cards and can if he so wishes to stop us signing vuckic as he's still a year to run in his newcastle contract, good on vuckic for showing massive commitment to our club, glasgow rangers,I personally would love vuckic to sign for us for the longterm,he's very skillful, scores goals & has a beautiful left foot like a wand!

Believable7 Unbelievable6

07 Apr 2015 20:04:22
Could try for another year loan. Then sign him for free after his contract runs out.

Agree4 Disagree0

07 Apr 2015 21:22:06
Doubt if Ashley will make it easy for us. The lad clearly thinks a lot of the club and wants to do well for us but that won't matter a jot to Ashley. I think the best we can hope for is another loan deal for Vuckic. It would be tremendous to see him curl the winner into big Lurch"s net at Parkheid next season!

Agree3 Disagree0

07 Apr 2015 22:46:17
It won't be easy getting him from Newcastle because of the takeover, but would be great, another thing, anybody know what wages he's on at the moment at Newcastle that may be a problem also!

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Apr 2015 08:08:53
well Bongo considering we currently pay his wages I reckon he must be on about 5k a week?

He still has to pass SFA Fit and Proper regulations. Despite the fact that he fails on two criteria I have no doubt that the SFA will clear him.

Thought of a response to bankiebear but realised it was a waste of time. There is a new angle on the banter and that is that McCall is he best thing that has happened to us in 3 years. After King and the 3 bears that is but McCall is showing great management skills and must be our future.

Vuckic quoted on another site saying the followin:

"I know I won't be at Newcastle next season. I am not sad, because I am focused on getting Rangers back into the top league."

"If we achieve that then I hope I'm around next season for the new challenge. It is up to Rangers but I am ready to sign up."

He lastly states:

"To score against Celtic is my ambition"

Join the club Haris!

Still has a year on his contract though anyone know roughly whst he's worth, unless we gt him on loan again.

Ashley will ask for silly money for him so can't see it happening but then again maybe 500k-1 million mite just do it what's everyone else think?

MA has them getting game time then he be selling em in the summer.I don't think MA will do any favours after the abuse he took.

Agree2 Disagree0

08 Apr 2015 08:14:00
haris vuckic is worth roughly around the 900k mark. as he is 22 and not likely to walk into the Newcastle team anytime soon, I believe an offer of 1.1-1.3 will be needed to twist Cashleys arm. If Vuckic is serious about coming to us he'll possibly need to wait a year and go as a free agent. Personally I want him at rangers, Plays for the Shirt, it's a great thing to see these days.

Football manager has been used for its huge database in the past, messi was spotted in this before he became huge. I bought a number of "wonder kids" before they became huge, tevez, Robinho, cavenaghi (didn't set the world on fire but was still good) Diego inrahimovic is just a small part of a large list of players I bought before they became huge. Always said scouts should use this as an aid

No no I'm very honest if any of the players are signed I will forward the emails onto this I'm not going to sit and claim that everyone we sign is down to me. Thanks for the people who support what I'm at least trying to do to help the cluba on field trouble and to the others who put me down why don't use pull your finger out and try something. This has took me close to a year to finally get a reply from rangers and I'm actually proud that I stuck to it and kept trying and trying.

So with the team starting to show that they can play as a team under the correct management and showing some of them are footballers. who do you think deserves to stay out of the players who's contracts are running out?
The players who's contracts are up are simonsen, Robinson, Smith, faure, mcculloch, foster, gasparotto, black, hutton, daly, Miller, Boyd and mohsni.
Personally I think a 2 year extension should be given to gasparotto. Give him a chance in the first team.
Miller should be given another year, as you need some experience and he is starting to show why we brought him back.
I would even consider offering mohsni a one year deal. Which may should mental but if we were to get promoted we are likely to be under a lot more pressure from clubs which hearts done in the 2nd half and he may be a good option if McCall manages to keep him focused.
Out of principle I don't want black and mcculloch offered deals due to the money they are on.
there is a need for a clear out but I am unsure what players could fill the gaps

Believable4 Unbelievable1

07 Apr 2015 11:56:46
I personally think black is a good player to have on the bench, again I believe his downfall to be due to Mccoist, black isn't a great player, he's fairly average, but when he hits form he can make any pass

A lot of people on here seem to be picking at anything and everything. this might just be your opinion you are voicing, however a lot of it is garbage what you are saying. I've seen so many post about King not investing yet, Murray has already stated why. They as directors, shareholders, and businessmen have decided to wait until he is declared fit and proper, to be respectful to the SFA. A lot of people are asking them to be more transparent, it took them a month to just get through the Newcastle loanees and deals with Sports Direct, that to me hints there is a lot of problems they are addressing at the one time. PATIENCE PEOPLE! None of the old Boards were ever honest to us, they had no plans, they didn't want to invest, they only took shares, and thought they could run a club based on season tickets and advertisement, while at the same time having an expenditure of 18million per year, which would go up again next year. the only way we could afford that is by selling 30k season tickets and selling out the stadium EVERY game. that isn't practical. and it's a terrible way to attempt to run a club. our new board have a plan, our new board consists of a billionaire and three millionaires, all who are rangers fans. Why would we complain about that? They are doing what we want? they brought in new management, they are telling us how bad It all is.

Believable7 Unbelievable6

07 Apr 2015 09:06:06
Well said onlyshowaround, spot on with your comments. I've been saying the same since King & the others took over. The financial mess is entirely down to the previous, corrupt Board. People like Somers were arrogant and had total disdain for the fans. Let King and Murray get clearance and then we'll start to see things getting cleared up. Rich though Fatshley is even he has found that he had to bow to the power of the PEOPLE! On the pitch, great stuff from McCall. What a difference. I think we can go on to clinch 2nd place and return to the SPL. Motherwell or Ross County should hold no fears in a final play-off tie. As for new players, we must learn from the past. We have good youngesters like Murdoch, Crawford, Walsh, Mackay, Gasparotto and Aird (he might yet thrive under McCall). Perhaps sign 2, 3 at most more experienced players and dump McCulloch, Boyd, Miller, Foster, Smith and others.

Agree4 Disagree2

07 Apr 2015 09:48:21
We need a new experienced player who can take control and command the team and lead us, shout his heed off off and get a hold of our players and give them a boot up the arze if there not given 100%.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Apr 2015 10:26:25
doiger I don't agree the financial mess was not caused by yhe last board it was green and co that lefy the mess the easdales andco were patsys and only put in place to allow distance between green and the invetable crash but what made it worse was the crap macoist served up on the park that was the factor that really put the club in difficulties but hopefully that's all behind us now

Agree1 Disagree6

07 Apr 2015 11:59:33
The financial mess was stared by Whyte, no one can disagree with this, however the other members of the board had a massive role to play aswell! easdales buying shares for 1p a go? when they are worth 30p. that's robbing us blind. everyone moaned about being taken off the AIM when it was actually good for us as the easdales can use a loophole on the rules and regulations to walk back into Ibrox.

Agree1 Disagree2

07 Apr 2015 12:14:25
BIGWULL. They didn't do anything to remedy or improve things and continued to pay themselves fat salaries and take loans from Ashley. They are guilty of corporate negligence, which in some cases could lead to criminal charges. So no sympathy from me for the last Board.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Apr 2015 15:50:14
Quote: The financial mess was stared by Whyte, no one can disagree with this.

Sorry but I do disagree. David Murray steered our club into a position where he happily sold it for the price of a single item in Poundland. The mess starts with Murray.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Apr 2015 17:17:34
Naz that is unfair as there was a board which included malcom murray, Paul murray, Dave king etc. As well as Martin bain they all knew what was going on!

Jermaine jenas, marek cech, philippe sebo (haha), lassana diarra, ben arfa, milan stepanov,
Hugo almeida, andy johnson, khalifa cisse, cabral,

All unnattached out of contract. Mabay a couple of these players we could take one trial

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - Ben Arfa can't play for anyone else this season, Diarra is asking for huge money.}

07 Apr 2015 08:53:33
Have you any1 else in mind bud?

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - there are thousands of players without clubs out there, I really don't know what most of them are like though. Personally I think the club would be better off organising open trials, a lot of the League One and Two clubs do it in England and it works well for them.}

07 Apr 2015 09:03:37
Good idea aye. I watch the lower leagues a lot after motd, some of the players look good, powerful and pacey. We should defo do something like tht.

Freddy adu who was once promising and freddy eastwood both unattached I seen. Dnt know what sort of condition there in though.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - Adu is woeful, never understood why people thought he was so special. All it was is that he was physically above every other player as a child, so it was like watching a 6th former play with primary school kids. He was never an outstanding talent at all.}

07 Apr 2015 08:48:53
Never seen him play mate just used to hear all the hype about him. Just trying to scout a few players we could take on trial and have a look at lol

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - no worries, just thought I would give an opinion for you to explain why he is available. It would be good publicity.}

07 Apr 2015 10:32:17
any big name player without a club at the minute there are allways good reasons for this either over the hill to greedy or a trouble maker if they were any worth they would have a club celtic tried robbie keane craig bellammy and roy keane and a few others they did not bring any sucess

Agree2 Disagree1

08 Apr 2015 02:12:15
Big Wull Robbie Keane and Bellamy were on loan not without clubs, short of Motherwell's late win in the last game of the season Bellamy would have walked away with a league and cup double of medals. Robbie Keane won SPL player of the month in March of his loan and scored 16 goals in 19 games. Roy Keane won a league and league cup winners medal in his brief time. Maybe your definition of success is different from the rest of us though.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Apr 2015 11:42:17
Roy Keane also got beaten by a clyde side in his first match and deffs did not set the world on fire! League medals don't determine how good a player was or are Bob malcom and mo Ross world class as they have some.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Apr 2015 13:09:35
I knew someone would mention the Clyde game and personally I thought he was at best a luxury signing we didn't need, we were a good few points clear when he signed I think but nonetheless he got 2 medals in what 4 months? CeeXXX I do think however over their careers we can't mention Roy Keane in the same breath as Malcolm and Ross.
