Alright Bears. Do you think we that we will offload some of the 6 Players who are in the final year of their contract to try and bring in some cash? I know that the money that could be brought in would not be millions but surely it would be better to move them on and get something in and also trim the wage bill.

06 Oct 2017 19:25:26
I don't think any of them will b offered a new contract andy as none of them have done enuf for me plus it frees up a lot of space in the squad for Pedro to bring in another 5 or 6 players

06 Oct 2017 19:47:06
Would you trust ped with anymore money, let's face it we could end up with another 5 or 6 pena's and herrera's. I wouldn't trust him with anymore cash. Hopefully from now to the january window I'm proved wrong but I very much doubt it.

06 Oct 2017 19:54:55
He will only try and bring in another 2 or 3 and try and hopefully give some of the younger lads a chance to push way into main squad.

06 Oct 2017 20:23:57
It will be more loan deals or pre contracts. that's if he is still manager by january, I still think he will be out the door by then. He has to get at least 5 wins on the trot or its game over.

06 Oct 2017 22:38:48
Could end up with another 5 or 6 candias or morelos though?! A positive spin on another negitive post. As bad as the Daily Record on here at times.

06 Oct 2017 23:58:13
So your saying its a gamble pappy, we can't afford another gamble. A realistic spin on another unrealistic, optimistic post 👍

07 Oct 2017 06:44:34
Every manager or team that buy new players is a gamble coldo not everyone gets it right all the time before you say yes I think Pedro will bring in more players and some may not work but that is the manner of football and as soon as rangers or Celtic are interested in a player the price gets inflated fact if Pedro doesn't last then the same will happen to the new manager its going to take a long time the only thing that worries me slightly is that most of the Mexicans who come to British football don't settle they settle better in Spain and Portugal. hopefully they do because a link to central and south america WL benefit us in the long run

07 Oct 2017 08:22:32
Getting a new manager in AGAIN would be a gamble. Every time a club spends money on a human asset its a gamble.

07 Oct 2017 08:32:41
Its an expensive gamble brian when we pay 5mil for for two mexicans that are worse than a man down. Not good enough.

07 Oct 2017 08:48:51
Its a bigger gamble when you take a manager from the relms of unknown who has no experience of our game. We need a manager who knows our game and what type of player will thrive in our game. With the exception of a few, most of his signings don't have the fight or ability, very evident by the fact we struggle in nearly every game. Players have had long enough to settle and gel.

07 Oct 2017 10:48:49
For a manager with no experience of our game he must have got lucky with Morelos, candeais, dorrans, jack, John and alves then

07 Oct 2017 10:53:32
Colin who is this manager that you want? There are no sottish managers around if so why didn't Celtic go for them after delia? Fact is we have to realise that we are not the rangers of the past ally did what he could and so did Warburton they got us back to where we are and it is now up to Pedro to take us further I don't see the point in getting someone like McLeish I just can't see him doing anything 10 million in this era is peanuts we will need 3 times that but it will come eventually we need to be recognised for being a club with a future and a club with a vision on youth and the ability to groom new players that is what will see us through these hard times but we will pull through it together c'mon the gers (are we not allowed to say we are the PEO. Anymore)?

07 Oct 2017 12:25:30
It doesn't matter if i trust him or not, its not up to me. but if he's still here come the summer then he's got to be trusted to bring more players in, like it or not.

07 Oct 2017 12:31:26
I would hope he's learned from those 2 coldo and maybe buy Brittish/ Scottish

07 Oct 2017 13:04:04
If he goes, then we have to go for mcinnes. His record at aberdeen speaks for itself. Aberdeen are organised and have fight about them. They are joint top on a fraction of our budget. Huey, with they players you mentioned we are still struggling in nearly every game. Although I agree they are the better bunch. This nonsense about settled squads, time to gel etc is just pathetic excuses. Nearly as bad as warbs "we will learn from this and go again next week", change the record. We have had only 3 convincing wins and they came against hamilton dundee and 1st divison dunfermline. The rest of the games we have struggled. Again I don't want to hear excuses like, jack shouldn't have got sent off, hearts parked the bus, partick put in hard tackles against us etc etc etc, yawn.

07 Oct 2017 16:50:12
Fact is just because someone says "fact" doesn't make it a fact

06 Oct 2017 17:23:31
We have good attacking full backs who can't defend, and 4 strong enough CBs in Alves, Cardoso, McCrorie and Wilson. Is it just me that is dying to see us move to a back 3/5 with wing backs?

I know Wilson hasn't impressed lately, but he's more suited to the LCB role in a back three, and I believe we have a future star in McCrorie so he must be given game time!

Would allow us to play three CMs (where we have the most talent in our ranks) and two strikers, or a diamond 4 in the middle and one up top.

Would look something like this:

Fod
Cardoso Alves Wilson/ McCrorie
Tav/ Candeias Wallace/ John
Jack Rossiter Dorrans
Herrera/ Miller Morelos

Or in the diamond, swap Herrera/ Miller for Pena Kranjcar or Candeias.

Thoughts?

06 Oct 2017 19:26:37
Is it just me that thinks Tavs actually a better defender than he gets credit for?

06 Oct 2017 19:29:27
Will Hardie be given some decent game time soon? Not saying he's the answer but now Miller seems to have fell down pecking order I hope Hardie gets a chance.

06 Oct 2017 20:02:51
3 at the back is worth a shout, celtic played that way under oneil and dominated. I'd go for fod, mcrorie alves wilson, tav wallace, jack barjonas dorrans, hardie morelos. Maybe candieas could play behind morelos instead of hardie. But I would definitely start playing barjonas hardie mcrorie as the aren't any worse than pena herrera cardoso.

06 Oct 2017 22:05:16
Couldn't agree more. The personnel at our disposal suggests that a 3-5-2 would see all our best players on the park and in their strongest position. Would feel sorry for candeias though. Arguably been our best player thos season but would struggle for game time in that system. unless we could convert him to a wing back.

07 Oct 2017 09:02:01
Wish people would stop going on about how poor cardoso and two Mexicans are. They are clearly not bad players or PC would not have made such an outlay on them. The style and pace of football here is much different and quicker than there previous leagues and once they adapt I am sure they will improve. Anyone that changes jobs to such drastic fashion would take time to adapt. Question is how quick can they adapt not if there good players or not

07 Oct 2017 12:33:40
As Much as I like to bring through our own players and I do think mccrorie could be a good one we need to be careful as I'm no sure he is ready. Seems very naïve at times and has been shakey but got away with criticism others wouldn't as He's a young up and coming home breed

07 Oct 2017 12:17:27
Wouldn't have Cardoso in the team, just looks like a Portugese Rob Kiernan to me, my team would be

Foderingham
McCrorie Alves Wilson
Tavernier Jack Dorrans John
Candeias
Morelos Miller

07 Oct 2017 13:32:54
They are clearly bad players blue nose, pedro got it very wrong paying that amount of money for them. You actually make my point about needing players/ manager who know our game.

06 Oct 2017 09:01:58
Change of subkect guys. Scotland!
We deserved the win. Some good performances.
My mate is a west brom supporter so i was watching morrison and Pbillips. As i did the last game. What doez Phillips bring to the team? From what i have seen didley squat!

06 Oct 2017 09:07:23
Agreed Huntywallsend. It was about time that luck went our way with a last-minute own goal. It usually happens to Scotland! With the momentum the team now has I think we can beat Slovenia on Sunday though before last night I was doubtful. The crunch will be in the play-offs if we make it with a possible two-leg tie against the like of Italy, Portugal or Iceland. Fingers crossed.

06 Oct 2017 10:58:10
Doiger now u want Scotland to win?
Make your mind up mate. 😂

06 Oct 2017 11:04:37
fletcher should be no where near the squad!
mcginn or mcgregor should have been in there before him
but that's just my opinion guys what do u think.

as a whole we played very well.

i would like to sign their goalkeeper has anyone any idea who he is or who he plays for?

06 Oct 2017 12:19:17
When did I say that rayman99? I might have indicated that I didn't like Strachan and his bias towards celtic and he shouldn't really have been given a new contract after failing to qualify for the Euros last time. I always want Scotland to win in whatever sport! I think the play-offs will be difficult if we reach them but beating Slovenia on Sunday isn't a done deal.

06 Oct 2017 12:41:11
He was quality that keeper.

06 Oct 2017 14:03:18
I just don't get some twam selections to be fair, so many players playing well up here yet siton the bench in england and still get a game, saying that we're in a position now where we have a chance, sundays game will be tense though and tbh i'd also like to see a right footed rb and move tierney even to left midfield as i think he's a cracking young player i'd also play to celtic players up front as they already know how they play but big martin came on and played well and could probably have done with him thw amount of crosses in the box

06 Oct 2017 14:39:36
Shouldn’t be picking English players like Phillips. Once you have played for England at any age level it should automatically bar you from playing for another country. Only with us because England don’t want to know

06 Oct 2017 17:01:42
I thought Phillips played really well!

06 Oct 2017 17:09:04
fod do u know who he plays for and how much he would cost we should maybe give ped a wee call to point him in that direction.

06 Oct 2017 17:13:03
I still don’t want Ireland to win.

06 Oct 2017 17:18:04
Ive never bothered about Scotland, its just not in me but for some on here to suggest that Strachans biased and only picks Selik players is garbage. the reason there's no Bears is that we've not had anybody playing well enough. anyone who thinks there's some sort of anti Rangers agenda needs there head examined.

06 Oct 2017 19:01:09
Strachan is totally biased, end of, and a poor coach of the international team. Apart from England, Slovakia, Slovenia, Lithuania and Malta are hardly potential world cup winners are they? I'm encouraged that Scotland have rallied to get this close but even if they win on Sunday, a potential play-off looks too hard for this team. Oh for a Scotland team with the like of McGrain, Jardine, McQueen, Bremner, Souness, Dalglish, Jordan, Gemmill, et al. At least they played with pride and were hard to beat.

06 Oct 2017 20:26:29
Not got a clue who he plays for mate but its the only game I've seen him play in, I will be checking him out from now on.

07 Oct 2017 12:24:11
Can't say they didn't play with pride last night mate they did great to keep going to the end when it looked like it wasn't our night. I also really like Armstrong but thot our midfield looked really well balanced with fletcher morrison and bannan in there.

07 Oct 2017 12:32:38
Could just have been 1 of those games he had Fod. remember Bell in the LCF against the dhims a few yr ago for Killie and il never forget the 3rd choice CSKA goalie against us in 93.he broke my heart that night. i know it wouldn't have mattered because Marsielle "beat" Brugge the same night
