i think ally is due some credit for having games cancelled as for one he will have full squad available ad it is also easier to play against part time teams during the week like east fife who were missing 7 players due to work commitments etc so a good move cancelling games when teams are weaker

Some of the rumours and stuff on here are going way too far next people will be claming Mike Ashley will lend us £20M in return he gets to use Auchenhowie as warehouse for cheap sports clobber.

I asked which former player that jumped ship you would take back and got a good response .so here is another mix and match any two strikers since Le guen left. I'd go for jelavic and darcheville, pace, power trickery and good in the air !

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Jelavic and Miller, skill, pace aerial ability, movement.

Agree0 Disagree0

Two good shouts mate I agree jelavic but couldn't see past big Dado Prso what a cracking player power, guts, skill, passion, and loved the cub.

Jelavic, darchville, miller never jumped ship they were sold or away before s#!t hit the fan.

Agree0 Disagree0

You forgot about Kyle Lafferty LOL!

Agree0 Disagree0

Pros was a warrior, great skill on the ground for a tall guy, think he left just before Le Guen arrived.

Agree0 Disagree0

R.f it was since Le guen left mate. Who you saying ?

Rf Who said anyone jumped ship?? Prso was before Le guen as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

Must admit I thought big dado was still at Ibrox after PLGs tenure le guen left Jan 2007 thought Dado went after that can remember him coming on the pitch with his leg in a brace after a game with a guard of honour from Rangers players and then leaving in tears Could of swore that was later 2007.

The guy was talking about a post he sent a few weeks ago about players who jumped ship,I remember it.So due to the response to that he sent that post about the strikers. You read the post before you jump in!

Rf, I think gingerger was actually asking since PLG left who would we class as the best 2 strikers we've had, and the question about jumping ship was a question put out by gg a week or so ago or at least that's how I read it mate. all good fun though.

My apologies I stand corrected, but again why do people have to resort to slagging (gkk) & start insulting peoples intelegence when they make an error or if they don't agree with a comment.

Jelavic at his best, but frustrated me when he wasn't getting service that he would come out to the midfield looking for the ball and would end up forced wide. I would go Miller 2008–2011 spell and McCulloch div 3 seaons. Big Jig was on fire up front that season I think he scored two hatricks a week.

Agree0 Disagree0

R. f. Well said.

@20 What are you on about "well said" if you'll read the posts again you will see rf was the one trying to be smart, and it backfired on him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said is pretty self explanatory at the risk of sounding smart and I read the posts again and I don't see what you're on about.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2014 08:12:14
No chance of sounding smart mate, maybe appearing to be.
I can only read the posts, not hear them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny I can't hear them either.

Hibs and Hearts should have to fight their way back to the top flight. Strachan should behave. It would not bother me if all three clubs were still in championship next year- won't happen of course, unless.

Any views on best ever striker? McCoist was a goal machine in the early nineties, but I am going for Hateley, his team within a team partner, they kind of made each other, but he was a warrior, a force of nature and I had never seen a striker as good in the air. He was good all round and a class act.

Agree0 Disagree0

Michael Mols should have been but didn't live up to the hype. Big Derek Johnstone was a great striker and a great centre half too. My vote would go to Colin Stein though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mols would have been but for the injury and although he had a good last season when we won the treble, he was affected by it. He was dynamic when he first came and like nothing I had seen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mols for me, class

Agree0 Disagree0

Marco negri far better goalscorer than ally but for me best all round striker was dado prso by a mile

Regarding calling Alloa game off I think some fans may be jumping the gun as don't you need three or more players to be called up for international duty ?
r. f

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Credit where credit is due, the Alloa game goes ahead as scheduled. Ally has made the correct decision, no matter the result. At the end of the day it is the best way to, hopefully, keep as tight to Hearts as possible.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes r. f, I did jump the gun on this one, but given Ally's previous were you surprised? The decision really is a no-brainer, while we are trailing Hertz keeping the pressure on is a must! billyb, If only Ally could make another couple of correct decisions, like players in their right positions, handing in his resignation!!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Nov 2014 15:48:55
Not the greatest manager ever but why would he resign ? He's doing the job he was asked to do, win titles at all costs & get us back a. s. a. p
r. f

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally's decision?

I'm guessing the decision was taken by a man who's recently arrived at Ibrox and is on very friendly terms with Mike Ashley.

Agree0 Disagree0

Naz, You may have called it mate. Should have thought of that.

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 r. f, "Not the greatest manager ever". That must be the Understatement to beat all under statements.
