How much cash lost by postponed games like tonights? smaller gates and lost tv income as 1st game was to be televised.

Rangers v stenhousemuir - 43, 877
Rangers V dunfermilne = 43, 082

Hardly a difference between the attendances. Next argument.

TV? well home games aren't normally televised, so loss in tv money? heehaw.

Overall, same as an average saturday at ibrox. Same result.

Now let's move on and stop whinging.

@ OP your correct mate the original game of 12th October was going to be live on BT Sports. Rangers versus Dunfermline should be the highest gates as most bears would assume they would offer the stiffest competition. Both halves of the teams that were formerly called the old firm exaggerate their attendances by always including season ticket holders. I was not there tonight and probably a number of season ticket holders were the same but the 42 or 43k stated will be pay at the gate plus the 36,000 season ticket holders so we had 6,000 or 7,000 paying at the gate. You will need to hear from a bear who was at the game tonight to hear what the stadium looked like in terms of attendance. Would I have been there on Saturday 12th October- yes mate I would have

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 get your facts right the dunfermline game was meant to be on ssn before it was rescheduled.

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 before you start tryin to be a smartar$€ you get your facts right ssn doesn't show live games

I can't believe that we have postponed another game. With not many home games left before the AGM it would have been the perfect time to put pressure on the 'Bus Brothers' and let our feelings known.

It was Ally's decision as was the last postponed game. Ally is unwittingly helping these spivs by doing this. Our squad is more than capable of dealing with these and it could be used to give youth a chance (yeah right).

FFS Ally, stop talking about signing players, it's becoming a joke.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mccoist is a joke call another game off on a saturday us the fans can not allways make the games during the week this must be sum1 else pulling more strings and making mccoist do this so we don't have a protest at home if ally can't win the game against forfar with the team he has at his disposal then he shouldn't be the manager simple and say he wants to spend more money he is really geting on my nerves our club is losing money yet mccoist answer is spend more total joke we need to save not spend not happy at all with our manager

Agree0 Disagree0

OP & 1.

Are you two for real?

Why create a problem when there isn't one.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ OP and 1- yes bad decision. Ulster fans in their hundreds if not thousands being let down- some of whom have pre paid flights and ferry tickets. Loss of income - smaller gate during week than on Saturday. Aird never plays so we are talking about 3 players. McLeod and Wallace big misses yes but Smith brought in to replace Wallace if injured and Peralta after a decent start has hardly set the heather on fire. Poor decision smacks more of taking the heat out of the stands than for footballing reasons. I am sure our large squad would have coped. let's stop making excuses for this board IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally is quite right if we lost the game everybody would be on his back

Agree0 Disagree0

There is a problem, we are running out of money and our current directors are delaying everything as long as they can? or have you missed this major point? If we can't beat teams with no disrespect like Forfar why did we invest in so many fulltime players and keep the rest on fulltime wages? Playing midweek games may suit Ally on his larger than life pay scale but us the humble fans have other commitments etc to worry about especially at this time of year. As for the players going out on International duty? its not exactly 1/3 of out squad?

I see that the Forfar game at Ibrox on the 16/11/13 has been postponed due to international call ups, which is our right. Can anybody advise who has been called up and does anyone else think this is turning into an embarrassment. Its Forfar Ally!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wallace scotland
peralta honduras
macloed scotland u21
aird scotland u19
yes it is embarrassing why have a big squad smith could replace wallace little for peralta templeton for macloed airds is always on the bench so why not play the game

Agree0 Disagree0

What is embarrassing is the amount of fans who blame mccoist for everything. But, as always, those who hate mccoist will moan, those 2 extra points from a win rather than a draw could see us win the league should the fears of administration set in.

Again, well done mr McCoist, why give into pressure to field a weakened squad when you can wait and field a full strength team. Seems pretty simple to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gaz, Lewis Mcleod is not in the starting eleven for tonight's game the very reason the original game was postponed as he was one of the players on international duty.
Do we really feel that without in reality Lee Wallace and Arnold Peralta we can't beat Forfar with the squad that's available now. I have always been a supporter of Mccoist but if you can justify this to me I will say your right, Ally well done good decision but this is as I said is an embarrassment

Agree0 Disagree0

43, 800 at our previous home league game, 43, 100 at the game tonight. 1. 5% lower than at a weekend, hardly costing us money

McCoist is quoted in a few papers today that he has no one to turn to with regards January signings due to lack of board members. Surely Rangers cannot spend anymore money in the transfer window. We need to stabalise the club as much as possible. We are coasting this league we do not need to spend anymore. Ally needs to take more responsibillity with rehgrads to stabalising our club and stop spending unneccessary money.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree, however if a good bargain came up we would be silly to miss it. But spending for spending's sake is pointless.
Don

Agree0 Disagree0

If more investment comes in and we can afford it yes buy we need to have a team ready to challenge in the top league when we get there not be running around trying to build a team when we get there so get off the managers back support the team we need to be back up where we belong

Agree0 Disagree0

I see Kenny Millers name mentioned in the paper again hopefully it's a lot of Tosh but I can see it happening.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no way we should be signing anyone this winter nevermind Miller on huge wages. We can re-build for SPFL but to me that is January 2015 not 2014. It is time to be more responsible with club money. That includes wages, jobs for the boys and ridiculous bonuses and overnight stays at hotels. Come on Rangers tighten this ship up!

Agree0 Disagree0

OMG more players January? is he insane? or did he miss the accounts? and the need to cut back hence pay offs etc? Surely Ally is thinking its April hence the Jokes? We be lucky to play any away games winter anyway so our players be well rested especially ones who not away playing games while some on international duty ie :)
