I can't see a game on March 23rd
Can any bear confirm?

06 Mar 2019 14:51:58
International break I think.

06 Mar 2019 17:32:21
The legends are playing liverpool legends in blackpool that weekend it will be bouncing i reckon.

06 Mar 2019 18:55:44
International break. Wonder what the Liverpool legends team will consist of as they are also playing Milan legends that weekend and I’ve heard Gerrard will be playing.

Don’t get me wrong, I respect Morelos and his goals and where he has taken our club this season. Still feel that he does not show up for the big games, when we need him the most, and as every game in the EPL is a big game, I feel he may struggle down there. Another season with us will do him no harm, but what about his attitude?

06 Mar 2019 11:56:17
Every game is a big game up here too if you want to compete for titles etc.

06 Mar 2019 12:03:18
I'm guessing you mean because he hasn't scored against the mhanky mob because he's scored important Europa goals this season never mind destroying Aberdeen recently (admittedly before being sent off) . We have 2 games against them coming up if Morelos gets goals this big game theory will be forgotten for good.

06 Mar 2019 12:07:55
saying Alfie doesn't show up in big games is harsh. the team rarely shows up so he no creation behind to give him chances

apart from the tic game where he missed sitter, his chances have been very limited in big games due to lack of creativity

you put him in a side that creates more and he will flourish.

06 Mar 2019 13:05:20
Yes, all games are big in the SPL, as in any league, but comparing the SPL teams to EPL teams in terms of quality is a bit far fetched. And yes he has scored important goals for us this season, as I stated before, but against who? Even in Europe it was hardly against the elite. It is no secret that he wants to leave, and if the money being talked about comes to light, then we should happily take it, as his attitude will only get worse if he stays. Though I also believe he has found his level in Scotland and is punching above his weight to move to England, this is perhaps to do with all the hype from the press. Damned if he moves and damned if he doesn't.

06 Mar 2019 13:44:44
he is the best striker in scotland by far are you suggesting that we are so far behind english teams that he would fail. in england you actually get more time on the ball, you will get better service to you and for sure you won't have defenders trying to hurt you everytime you get the ball. i don't think anyone can question his attitude his temperament for sure but people change. i really don't understand fans who ridicule their own, for me i would love him to stay and if he doesn't i wish him success for the future. i am sure one day he will be one of the top strikers in a higher league than the SPFL.

06 Mar 2019 16:46:03
I actually think Morelos will do ok down south. Let me ask you this.
If Deeney is a first team striker in the EPL what makes him any better than Morelos?

06 Mar 2019 18:33:39
Blue genius I agree re Morelos. Also lot of teams think 12-15 goals a good return.

06 Mar 2019 18:58:07
Blue genius

How can you compare Deeney with Morelos as neither has played in the same league? Do feel he needs to score against that mob and I think he only scored 1 goal in the group stages of the europa league?

06 Mar 2019 20:31:00
2 v rapid vienna. Should have been 3. The one in moscow should habe stood.

07 Mar 2019 10:02:22
So 8 against killie this season, scored against hearts, Aberdeen and hibs is not scoring in the big games.

07 Mar 2019 10:25:19
Our main rival is and always will be Celtic, the other teams are there to be beaten, as history has told you, Rangers/ Celtic top two year after year. So yes, if Morelos does not score in those big games and cup games, he still needs to improve and of course his discipline in these games is also questionable.

07 Mar 2019 11:45:30
Benlora, believe me clubs out with Scotland not interested if he scores against Celtic. They are not parochial like us.

07 Mar 2019 12:39:51
Jboy21, It has not got anything to do with being parochial, my point is that Celtic is our biggest opponent and if he cannot score against that lot, then how will he fair against the top six down south? There is a bit of an attitude of rose tinted glasses in Scotland, where we get one decent player and suddenly everything is great again. A few years ago, when we had a team scoring from the back to the front, Morelos would not have got this much hype. Sadly, he is all we have got.

07 Mar 2019 15:32:21
Let's wait and see, people obsess with them.

07 Mar 2019 15:40:36
I think it is niave to judge a player around his performances against one team and particularly old firm games as we have only really played well in one and only got one goal in that one.
To say that I can't compare 2 players because they are in different leagues holds no weight as you wouldn't say that you can't tell if Messi is better than Walcott as they are in different leagues would you? One is just clearly better. I have watched both plenty and I am confident that Morelos will fair better than Deeney in the EPL.

07 Mar 2019 18:06:57
Sorry to say I cannot see Walcott displacing Bacelonas forward line any time soon, however, if Messi showed interest in Everton!

06 Mar 2019 08:17:30
The debate about Morelos risking being booked in the cup semi-final replay is interesting but SG must play him against the sheep. If we start taking the edge off his play he won't be as lethal and that seemed to be the case last Sunday. Also, I'd think about starting Halliday and McCrorie either on Friday night or in the cup replay, resting Jack and Barisic in one or other of the games. That's what a squad is supposed to be about. Defoe and/ or Lafferty should be used earlier as impact subs. I'm beginning to wonder why Davis was signed though?

06 Mar 2019 05:23:32
if we can get 20 mil for el buffalo would we take cosgrove from aberdeen also mck3ena who i think would b great beside goldson what do yous think.

06 Mar 2019 07:01:20
Eh, no way.

06 Mar 2019 10:19:12
Would want better than Cosgrove to replace Morelos, McKenna wouldn’t sign even if our manager wanted him,
( which I doubt ) , wouldn’t pay the money Aberdeen would want when there is just as good and cheaper somewhere else. I’m sure the management team have a list of players already in mind? Read this morning some guy from Millwall was being watched.

06 Mar 2019 13:09:08
Liver boy

That young guy Porteous from hibs.

06 Mar 2019 15:42:59
Would take cossgrove to replace lafferty. If morelos goes i'd be disappointed if we didn't replace him with a striker whos £5+.

06 Mar 2019 23:25:17
Rather Stuart Cosgrove. We need to be casting net a bit wider, after all Morelos came from FInnish league. Surely they are working on bringing in replacements. I don't want to see all loan deals either.

Time and time again on here there’s constant negativity and people arguing we’re supposed to all support the same team so grow up and see the bigger picture, the players need out support even after the bad results, compared to some teams out there, we are average at best, but in Scotland we have the players to be the best team by a mile, the thing ave noticed is that so called rangers fans are happy to slag off our team and hound them with abuse whenever things don’t go as well as we would like, instead if we have any chance of winning anything this season we need all the fans to club together, support the team through the good and bad times and make Ibrox back into the place we all love, let's make it so that opposition players fear walking out of the tunnel and it’ll help the team get the results we need, it’s far too quiet on match days and if it wasn’t for the ubs there would be no atmosphere at all, they do sing some songs that have no business being sung in this day and age, but it’s up to the rest of us as fans to drown them out and stop them giving our club a bad name, give the players on the pitch a reason to give there all, sometimes it’s 2 minutes into a game and a pass doesn’t go to plan and you get our fans screaming at our players and how much of a discrace they are, let’s all get behind the team for the remainder of the season and if any fans at a game are hurling unnessecary abuse at our players then get them told, we are rangers, build on a legacy witch one constant has always been the fans and I we r to win anything again we need every rangers fan at Ibrox to get behind the team and it will drive them on to greatness and restoring us to our rightful place as the top team in Scotland.

06 Mar 2019 00:39:06
50,000 every other week proves that everyone supports the club, all the fans are asking for is the same level of commitment and consistency on the pitch. When the fans get that level then the fans won't come on here to vent. Sounding the battle cry amongst the fans won't change the fact that we are so inconsistent, that's down to the players and the management team, nice speech tho👍.

06 Mar 2019 07:03:10
Great speech and of course you are correct but this site is also about opinions of supporters and there are many posts regarding inconsistency. I do believe we have taken a massive leap in the right direction but yet again, inconsistency appears to have cost us the league. We need more attacking consistency and less dedensive play during games we are trying to win. The Aberdeen game would be a classic example of what HAS to stop in our playing style. Kamara has brought a midfield element we seriously lacked but he can't do it all himself. If the manky mob slip, we will be on their backs for sure but we need to keep winning to achieve this. All this aside, I know that WE ARE THE PEOPLE. 🇬🇧.
