jellyfish couldnt lace commons boots.kris commons has done it in the championship(better than spl)and now doing it at celtic.jellyfish will be in the coca cola league one by the start of the new season.

Believable2 Unbelievable6

The Championship ain't better than the SPL mate, despite what they constantly tell you on Sky Sports, BBC etc. Just remember that they are MARKETING this to you and money is constantly being pumped into it, doesn't make the players or the quality of football any better than the SPL. The only half decent game from the championship worth watchin is the play-off finals, and even that has only recently become exciting.
Ger93

Agree2 Disagree1

Get a grip mate. They're both good players. IMO Commons has been the better signing simply because he cost a pittance and is a wide man scoring for fun rather than a striker but to say Jelavic is useless and will end up in league one is ridiculous considering there's already been talk of Prem clubs after him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I find it hard not to be offensive in return to this ridiculous comment, but seriously, don't talk sh*te.
coca cola league one, ha.

Exactly all talk of prem league clubs. the guy is injury prone and won't be touched by the top 15 teams in the epl

Brox scouts were reportedly in attendance to see Hemed's international debut at the weekend where he set up a goal for Yossi Benayoun.

Hemed is available on a free transfer as his contract expires at the end of the month and agent Yossi Gaier has urged Rangers to make their move sooner rather than later.

"I'm waiting for a call about the plans of Rangers, " explained Gaier.

"Cagliari and Bologna are interested so clubs will have to make up their minds quickly."

to all those posting we are gonna sign this one and that one . .i got a shareholders letter from rangers today and im no legal wizard but it doesn't sound to good and we may not have as much money as we think . .the debt has not been payed off just transfered to another company and the tax issue which mr whyte was confident of winning is creating a serious concern . .we are not out the woods yet guys

Believable2 Unbelievable4

I'm sure this is rubbish, yes the tax case is an issue but Murray said he would only sell the club if the deal was in order

Agree3 Disagree1

Sensible man

Agree2 Disagree0

Just read statement i am no wizz either but don't see what all the fuss is he has promised 5million a year and 1.7 million for ibrox only thing it doesn't say that he will give us more this transfer window but it dosent say he won't either
west coast bear

Agree1 Disagree0

Looking at it from an outsiders perspective (Celtic fan here), Murray probably did himself a huge favour in letting Whyte take over the club.

I've no idea what your chances are of winning the tax case but either way it means he's no longer anything to do with Rangers should the case be lost.

This Craig Whyte guy seems a total mystery man as well and I can see why the old board didn't trust him. Everything he says and does is totally vague. Even his thing about pledging money for transfers was vague (He made two points: one was £5M this season, the other £20M between now and 2016 with a maximum of £5M in any one season). Maybe it was just to clarify that there will be money in the summer but on the other hand it could be his way of saving £5M by including this summers 5M leaving 15M over 5 years if things aren't run the way he wants. Or maybe he's not sure yet - wouldn't surprise me.

I also wasn't totally convinced about what he was going to do as regards the debt and tax payments should the tax case be lost (or even won). For all you know he might jump ship to parts unknown.

I read from an actual newspaper that Bartley is surplus to requirements at Arsenal, I don't understand Arsene Wenger now. He signed people like Squillaci for his defence. Kyle Bartley is big and solid and I think he's the kind of guy I could see being an England international if he keeps up his progress. Would have him back at the Gers in a heart-beat and if that was ona pernament basis a young man with that much potential would be some signing.

Rangers in for Danny Wilson and Kyle Bartley not fact but not far off seeing Coisty has said as much about the Bartley side anyways
A lot about Frings and tbh we have almost as good if not better in the squad and the youth players are begining to emmerge now so maybe not him.
Goodwillie is a Rangers fan and yeah he would probs love to play for them BUT he attracts trouble woth his off eild aticts and i don't think Ally McCoist or Craig Whyte would take the chence unless the price is right to buy him
McGregor will STAY! he has said he wants a new long term deal so will be in his 30's by the time it ends atleast!
Rangers should be trying to buy in younger players and invest in them and hopefully be able to make profit to slowly and steadily improve the squad so we don't get carried away!
The Kenny Miller issue is not even worth the time to mention but i will . . He left after a couple good seasons back at Ibrox however he hasnt really done much in big european games for club or country recently ( in 5 seasons) he has scored a few but not as many as he could/ should of. people can say all they want about it wasnt his choice to leave in january but he still had to agree a contract etc and could of said no but he got greedy!

Rangers ment to be in talks with nolito's agent after his contract ran out at barca last month and also interested in takin jonathan soriano onloan from barca for 2 seasons. Would like to c nolito at the gers, he can play as a striker or on the left wing. Be a better option than conway I reckon.

Danny Wilson was at Ibrox today! ! i am happy and annoyed about this, we gave him his chance . he left. now as expected hes struggling and oh look lvpool want to loan him back, what sort of club are we, if lads like this leave then great best of luck but they shudent be allowed to swan back any time they please! ! there are plenty of other center halfs we can get let danny plod away and live with his decision!

Kenny MIller DEF not coming back
Weir getting offered a new deal but his family live down in england so i think he may not accept! !
Goodwillie waiting untill court case completed. .peter houstan basically said it in an interview yesterday.
Hemed has NOT signed so would ppl stop posting made up nonsence, if we want him we better move 3 seria A clubs want him and a couple of EPL clubs
Ally is in south america right now so u'll find there will be no signings earliest wednesday! !

Hope i helped! !

He'll be a celtic fan now, your not handed the captains armband at rangers or celtic if you don't show some passion for the club. I think we can do better than him big kirk broadfoot is twice the player he is. Mcmanus would be a waste of money and a very unpopular signing.

Skysports transfer centre has stated that Kenny Miller could be on his way to Swansea. This should put to bed the rumour hes coming back to Gers - don't know why anyone wants him back - he ditched us in our hour of need

Did you happen to see miller's interview where he advised he was pretty much forced out the door at ibrox for the money? When he left we had no guarantee on a buyer and Lloyds who were controlling rangers decided to cash in! The guy didn't ditch us, he was pushed out, the same way Alan Hutton was when he wanted to stay with us and rejected spurs originally only to "change his mind" an hour later!

I truly don't think some of you people realise how seriously close to losing our club we were!

ofcourse we all do just not everyone of us believes every word kenny miller says - playing victim he had the chance of a contract on the same money if he was that desperate to stay he could've stayed and taken that or waited til the summer to see what happened with the whyte situation. kenny miller was not forced out of rangers!

This is coming from a friend who is a football agent, and has a couple of players at Ibrox:

Cagliari and Bologna's interest in Hemed is only going to speed up his move to Rangers, as McCoist rates him and wants to get him signed asap. As for Cribari, Rangers have upped their offer in a bid to lure him to Ibrox, but he has apparently stated that he will reject all offers in order to move back home to Brazil. He has heard nothing specific about Granqvist, although he knows a scout was recently sent to Northen Europe/ Scandinavia, but this could have been for Bedoya who we were also linked with. Also says Danny Wilson is all but certain to return on loan after Rangers agree how much of his £20k p/ w wages they will pay. Other names that he has been hearing in and around Ibrox are Cardiff's English Duo Mark Hudson and Peter Whittingham who have apparently grew tired of Championship football and want to prove themselves on a bigger stage. Although they are apparently waiting on who is appointed Cardiff's new manager and what his plan is. The fee's for this duo are believed to be around £1-1.2M for Hudson and £2.5-3+M for Whittingham.

Regarding to those leaving Ibrox, Bougherra still has his heart set on a move, but he has heard nothing of him sending a recorded delivery letter to the club saying he is quitting. Weir may stay, but on a player/ coach deal and will be used sparingly, and it also depends on his family's, who still live in Liverpool, decision, as Everton have also offered him a coaching role. Diouf, Weiss and Healy will not be returing, but there is a possibilty of Bartley returning on a 1 year deal, it is unknown if it is a loan or permanent. Fleck will be asked to go out on loan to a Championship side in order to get him a run of first team games, but as of this moment, no one down there is interested in him.

{Ed010's Note -thank you for your post but I can assure you it is nothing personal because you haven't supplied a name or email address on your post and so you are unknown to me.

There are other reasons why posts don't get uploaded and the most common reason, is when there are multiple postings on the same subject and providing the same information or views. I have to make a decision when this happens and the site moderator's instructions are quite clear, the best posts containing the most concise information are to be used. I am sure that you will agree that there is nothing worse than reading the same information on different threads, time after time after time.

I hope that this answers your point and why your posts may not appear but please don't feel disillusioned and keep your posts coming. Cheers Ed10

So ED do you think we play an attractive style of football under McCoist?? I personally don't care as long as we win but when you see how we played towards the end of the season there it whets your appetite a bit.

Billyboy1!

{Ed010's Note -Billyboy, interesting question and observation and the answer to it is going to be based on the quality of player that Ally brings in. I don't know about you but there were times last season when we looked anything but champions. Ally needs to bring at least two quality midfield players and depending on who they are, will determine how expansive our football will be.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree ED at times our midfield was non exsistent and you just couldn't imagine us winning the league. We need someone who can pass a ball and is comfortable in possesion. There is too much onus on Steven Davis who is clearly a class act but he can't do it all on his own.

Billyboy1!

Agree1 Disagree0

Have to disagree ed . . there were times thro the season we didn't play well but we still picked up the points which to me IS the sign of champions. . I hate this whole attractive playing thing (well the arguement). . . since wen did football become purely attacking ?! as a centre half i luv watching well organised defences i like to watch the players read games the way i cant. I understand that most folk oly really like the attacking side of the game but if that was what football was about there would be no defenders on the pitch. . Playing expansive football is IMO and most managers comes 2nd to an oragnised defence. . It is impossible to lose a game if u don't concede however can still lose a game where u score 2/3 goals. for me a result comes before a performance in ANY game. Ask any player (even at junior level like myself) what they take more pride in . . a win or a good performance . . to quote my gaffer . . . "posers like performances, winners like wins and the junior league is too ugly for posers".

Try not to take it outta context obv i would love to see my team have 90 possesion, 40 shots on target etc but these are not the stats that matter really.

Danny Wilson, stayed in my mates street, spoke to his dad-he said hes wanting to stay at Liverpool but they want him out on loan. Wilson apparently said he would only go back to Rangers but Liverpool feel the Scottish League isn't good enough. Also mentioned was that he missed his ex girlfriend, Cheryl. She decided to go move down to Liverpool with him. I know he still has his flat in Glasgow where he stayed in when Rangers were playing at home, loan move would be suitable as he wouldn't need to look for a home.

=======================================

I used to coach Danny at Murieston Fc in bankton west lothian along with the jacob twins (who used to go to murray park with danny now with livingston) and i can tell you that his dad doesn't stay in scotland and stays in Germany now has done since danny was 11 after leaving his mother, + Danny is a massive celtic fan who went to st magrarets academy and from what i have heard from a few of his ex team mates that still keep in touch is that he would sign for celtic if they came along, but in his contact rangers have 1st choice if he became free to go out on loan to anyone reason why he is coming back to rangers.

vote agree for Frings and disagree for guttuso.

How about none of them?? as they are both past it. We need younger more attack minded midfielders. Agree if you agree with my post and obviously the opposite if you don't.

As for the who would we rather have

Frings or Gattuso

Gattuso loves Rangers but there is no doubt he would hurt a Celtic player or Neil Lennon and we can't have him getting sent off for his passion lol.

I say bring another legendary footballer Frings to Ibrox, he will fall in love with Rangers and he would be a great player in the middle of the park.

I totally agree with u here. as much as i luv gattuso we don't need another defencive mid we need some who can create and score goals i think frings could do this.

Gattuso only good for attacking men twice his age who incidentally would have filled him in

Rangers are being heavily linked with Birmingham city Goalkeeper Ben Foster in a swap deal plus 5 mill from them for Allan Mcgregor. I heard this as my mate is a taxi driver , and Ben Foster has been dropped off at Murray Park to under go a medical and finalise the deal.

I think the Obertan thing could be true you know, we have been linked with him alot and last time we were it was said Sir Alex would give us him on loan but he said he wanted to try and break into the Man Utd first team and he hasn't featured that much so he obviously didn't get his wish, that wasn't a result of him being a bad player because he definitely isn't. He could tear up the SPL I think and would be good in europe because he has played afew games for Man Utd over the time. Anyway I'm not getting excited about rumours until we sign someone. Atleast we're in a position that we can buy quality again. It feels good doing that, being champions and representing Scotland in the Champions League yet again. Bougherra not using the 'webster ruling'

skysports.com/story/0, 19528, 12876_6967971, 00.html

Add www. obviously.

looks like we should get a decent fee for Bougherra then. approx £3m (personally think we'll get £2/2.5 for a player with one year left)

Does anyone have the links to the stories banding about regarding Wilson coming back on loan. As far as I was led to believe Dalgliesh rates him highly, and was the main man behind the transfer in the first place, so can't see why they'd let him go on loan since he played a number of games last season

I believe we have been conned by the new owner, there will be no major signings at all and only a couple of loan signings at the most. Mr Whyte is out of his depth and instructed Ally to get bargain basement players, our days of dominance is gone, hard times ahead.

Re: aye ok, don't let the door hit u on the way out . . . a bit more respect for your champions son !

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Cant understand a bear posting this nonsense. heres the thing on ally mccoist im pretty sure he has had a good apprenticeship under walter. but i do think he will have his own ideas as for the board there is a lot going on and fans have wait for a statment. as for transfers put it in to context average epl player 8-10 million if rumour are correct we will have 10-15 million total so we have to be realistic we were very lucky when souness talked all those stars to join us but would they have come if english clubs hadnt been banned from europe we can't go down the road of spending monies we havnt got. the clubs got to find more ways of generating money to spend but as fans we have to stop the whinging and complaining and give the new owner time to get his people in place big rab by the way

Tomer Hemed's agent has urged Rangers to decide quickly if they would like to sign the Israel international striker.

The 24-year-old marksman is also attracting interest from Serie A with both Cagliari and Bologna looking to bring him to Italy.

Hemed won his first cap for his country against Latvia at the weekend and scored goals for fun for Maccabi Haifa last season.

Scouts

Ibrox scouts were reportedly in attendance to see Hemed's international debut at the weekend where he set up a goal for Yossi Benayoun.

Ibrox bound? Danny Wilson could make a loan return to Rangers

SCOTLAND international Danny Wilson could make a shock return to Rangers just a year after his £5million transfer to Liverpool, the Daily Record reports.

Kenny Dalglish belives Wilson has a long-term future at Anfield, the paper claims, but believes the 19-year-old defender would benefit from greater match practice after a frustrating first season in England.

Rangers will require defensive options due to the likely exit of Madjid Bougherra and uncertainty over the future of David Weir.

I've read we might get Wilson back on loan, sorry, don't want him. He made the biggest mistake of his young career so far by deciding to join Liverpool. I said at the time he shouldn't sign for them or anyone else for at least 3 years, he was still learning his trade at Rangers & in any case, we couldn't have Wilson & Bartley as our 2 cb's, not enough experience.
On another note, i would go for Ricardo Gardner (Bolton) for left back, he's quick, strong & would be a good attacking option from the back.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

What is up with papac?

Agree0 Disagree0

There's nothing wrong with Papac but we should find another left back, who incidently is quicker.

Agree5 Disagree0

I think Wilson was kindly asked to move on by people above Smith and McCoist in regards to the transfer fee he commanded, £5m for 19 year old was good business. I would have him back in an instant, you can't hold a desicion like that against the boy

Rikkisixx

Agree1 Disagree3

You simply cannot blame wilson for moving, its so hypocritical ! how many players do we as the old firm poach of lesser teams in scotland? how often do u see one of these players then go on a really make it ? how many careers do u think the old firm have held up by taking on players who never break thro but would have at a lesser team?
swings and roundabouts mate. . I personally would gladly take the boy back he cantered the SPL the first time it would be fair to assume that he would do so again.

Wilson is not experienced enough, quick enough or strong enough, enough said.

Liverpool defender Danny Wilson looks set to make a swift return to former club Rangers.

Wilson arrived at Anfield last summer in a deal worth up to £5million after earning countless plaudits and accolades with the Glasgow club but, despite proving a versatile player, made just six appearances for the Reds due to injury and competition for places.

Reports in Scotland suggest that the centre-back, will rejoin the ranks at Ibrox as part of a season-long loan as Ally McCoist hopes to enlist Wilson's services with Majid Bougherra's expected departure threatening to disrupt his plans for a fresh dynasty at the SPL champions.

Just heard that D Vaughan has penned a 3 year deal with WBA! What a plank this boy is choosing them over Rangers! well good luck with that Vaughan biggest mistake of ur career at 28!

Good source that Danny Wilson is coming back but only on loan, and odds are w'ell also sign Bartley and Granquist but we won't sign granquist untill bougherra is away so don't be expecting him for a few weeks!

Seb Larrsson has been approached by Rangers aswell but he is wanted by 3 or 4 lower half prem clubs, he has been qouted saying thou he wants a new challenge. other than fighting relegation with boring clubs i presume!. . not sure if gers would take this thou, lad is good player but 28 and on a high wage i would rather try and get Mark Noble from West Ham hes a great player

. .goodwillie will need to wait untill january or next summer for his dream gers move as he has the small matter of a rape trial approaching! if found guilty he would be at least looking at a reduced jail term. .so basically his footballing career would be down the pan! i personally think we shudent rush into signing this boy anyway. .we have Jelavic, Naismith and Lafferty so ally will be looking for 1 more quality addition for the league 4 in a row charge and for europe, rangers have a huge incentive to get to the last 16 of champs league this year, with celtic AGAIN not in it and the revenue from sky just increased they could be looking at anything up to 15-20 million for getting there! . . anyway, do you really think Goodwillie is that man? I would rather see Kenny Miller back, experience still at a good age and would bang in more goals than goodwillie, also i think with Miller + Jelavic we would romp the league.

also on another note, im so glad to see Papac staying what a pull that is from coisty getting him a new deal, its so difficult to get a decent left back in football these days, that will be a priority position next year thou, hopefully another alan hutton is at murray park right now just waiting for his chance!

People qouting names like roger johnson, ben arfa, Petric, you might aswell stop posting or at least put names like Ronaldo and Messi in there! get ppl more excited about fairytales! not saying these guys are two good for us. . coz there , but you need to understand we have been bought over yes but there is a level in football these days called 'the average overpriced' when guys like the names above are on stupid wages that unfortunetley puts them out of our reach, along with fees. {Ed001's Note - to be fair to Vaughan, he chose WBA for two reasons, none of them about money as it is not the biggest offer he chose. One was to stay in the EPL and the other is to be near his family.}

Danny Wilson to come back - Scottish Sun.
Andreas Granqvist is actually a brilliant player, he's similar to Bougherra in his ability to bomb forward and has scored 11 goals from defence.
Kyle Bartley is solid and could be a top English CB.
All 3 of these guys would make me very confident of a young solid Rangers defence and would be good to keep Weir to help them.
Goodwillie and Hemed two great striker additions both young and along with Lafferty and Jelavic would be some strike force to choose from. Beattie has to go in my opinon, well maybe a chance in pre-season but then he is getting old.

Anyway no matter what happens we will follow on.

Rangers have been offered the chance to sign German World Cup star Torsten Frings. Sunsport reported this on Friday and the reports could be pretty accurate as he seeks to perform at the top level.

Meanwhile the David Vaughan deal is hanging in the balance as the player has opened up talks with West Brom and Sunderland and could leave McCoist looking at other targets. Rangers manager McCoist would see the signing of Frings as adding some much needed experience and depth to his side.

Torsten Frings is now nearing the end of his Career and the 34 year old German is said to been on the switch to Glasgow and have one last crack at the Champions League. The German has also played at 2 World Cup s in 2002 and 2006 and would love to add to his glittering career at the top level.

Frings has been offered a roll on the coaching staff at Werder Bremen but would prefer to play on and looking at options elsewhere. The international has over 70 caps and would be a useful addition to the Ibrox squad which is currently low on numbers and would boost the assault on 4 in a row.

Hi there, was wondering if anyone can confirm, or knows anything about the Facilities within Ibrox being upgraded this close season? Such as the toilets and cattering stalls. Im sure i heard talk of this happening quite some time back via some daily newspapers, But talk seems to have fizzled out. Personally think it would be money well spent, and long overdue. And also, was watching some videos of Andreas Granqvist, Looks like a direct replacement for Bougey, very impressed. But has anyone got, or know of a concrete source? Cheers
