Oh yeah Weiss did nothing except being our top assist maker (I think) single handedly change the cup final in our favou before playing a sensational pass to win us it whilst suffering a broken foot. Also he was our most creative player all year and was only inconsistent due to being played sparingly.
If that's doing nothing what is Davis doing in games at the moment?

Think i must have been watching a different player pal, 90% of the time he just tried to skin folk and gave the ball away. he took pelters for it in the govan front. he is young though and has the ability if he just kept it simple he would be a great wee player....K

Believable1 Unbelievable2

How about Max Boyce at least you could hay a good half time sing song.......Stevie

Boyce was not good enough,to earn a contract for Killie. What makes you think, that he has what it takes to be a Ranger? Also he never played for his German team.He was part off there B team.Ally

With my super investigative journalism powers I can EXCLUSIVELY reveal that Mr Whyte will indeed "Bankroll" some signings in january and a budget has been set, after collecting all the empties from various parties over festive period the magnificent sum of £77.82 has been allocated to Ally for big signings! LOL Timalloy
PS Mr Whyte is a big Kenny Rogers fan and he likes
"You got to know when to Hold them,
Know when to FOLD them,
Know when to walk away,
and know when to RUN (like heck away!)

I think rangers and celtic can forget about rhodes apparently there are 8 premiership clubs watching him 2nite.and hes scored again he is a machine.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I read somewhere last night about a 3M bid being prepared for him but can't remember by whom. {Ed014's Note - I've been told he won't be moving anywhere till summer.

Agree1 Disagree0

Scotland have a class striker

Agree3 Disagree0

He has scored a first half hat trick, goal machine, going to prem, west brom,or sunderland.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hat trick for rhodes.im not sure but I think he can still be capped by england until he has played a competitive international game.levein get him capped in the qualifiers.

Agree0 Disagree1

Jordan Rhodes will not be coming to the SPL he has scored 4 for Huddersfield tonight.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hot 5 goals now

Agree0 Disagree0

He will stay to the summer i think as a loyalty thing to his club but the boy is defo going to the EPL in the summer i did hear Man utd wanted him and would even consider putting him out on loan to EPL/Champs club for a season but what a find!

He's played for Scotland for 3 minutes against Cyprus full international, at last quality striker, maybe no, mind Boydy scored 5 in a game and look at him

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Ally doesn't have a clue. After scouting Argentina he sed our players were better than they've got. Signing players and not playing them. Whittaker's contract?? Papac centre mid??? No tactics. Set pieces?? Constantly contradicts himself in interviews on a daily basis. The list is endless. Rangers legend but never a rangers manager.

whats all this pi5h about weiss,he done f*ck all apart from play suicide passes in his own box. surely its not come to the point where we sign guys cos they claim to love the club. please feel free to correct me if you can think of a memorable weiss moment....K {Ed014's Note - He sat with the fans.

Believable2 Unbelievable10

Played a stinkin ball thru to jelavic in the cup final for the winner.who wants that back when we can play.....eh,kerkar?

Agree6 Disagree1

The quick free kick to jelavic to win CIS cup comes to mind

Agree6 Disagree0

Rather sad when you can only come up with one good thing the guy done.

Agree0 Disagree3

He played a blinder against Motherwell away last Winter. Through ball for Jelavic in the cup final. Scored a great goal at Ibrox, I can't remember who against. He also was the second best in the SPL for assists. All in all, seems he did quite a bit.

GovanFR

Agree0 Disagree0

He scored a few goals and gave us an extra bit of flair.better to have that than not i would think?!

Agree0 Disagree0

Never got a run in the team and was injured at end of season yet he had the most assists in the spl. He can clearly create a chance which is something that every other mid fielder at ibrox struggles to do. FACT. Can you tell us a more creative player than Weiss that we have had? Naisy? Dont say Davis coz he never turned up until feb last season and has so far been posted missing this season

It seems to me that HMRC are not after Rangers but after money and will accept a deal to get that sum(whatever is decided)rather than force administration.Fans might have to bite the bullet and accept that the best players will be sold and not replaced , meaning that the young guys are played in their place, This might mean that the League isn't won for a few years but you are ahead by a few titles and can afford to drop a few while you recover. Expensive players don't mean success(Carroll?Torres?Flo?Scheidt?) .In order to save Rangers and Scottish football ,push for a rule change to ensure that 7 or 8 players on the field for each team must be qualified to play for the Scottish national team.(In the 60's and 70's most league teams were fully Scottish and could compete with anybody-sometimes you have to go back to go forward).

Paddy Malarkey

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Why is is that it seems to you that HMRC are not after Rangers but after money and will accept a deal to get that sum(whatever is decided)rather than force administration. What evidence do you have to back up this viewpoint?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont need to pay them sod all thats why if we go into admin then the tax man get hee haw, that is what they are fighting over. Rangers will give them about £4-£6 mill and that is about all they will get. That or nothing

Agree0 Disagree1

Tax man gets hee haw! are you mental? if admin happens then HMRC can shut ibrox down with one phone call.wake up they will take the money any way they like and get this straight they are first to be paib before whytes prefered creditor status kicks in.4-6m or nothing! get ready for a shock!

working in the financial sector you can imagine that we are the hot topic round the water cooler! from what iv heard we are bang to rights with the taxman as warnings about these payments were given years ago.no one i know thinks we can beat this and should prepare for the worst.a senior analyst i work with thinks whyte must sell bodies if not now then deffo summer to build up a war chest as HMRC probably will look for a 60-70% payment of moneys with the rest payable over 3 years.some of us seem to think admin n walk away debt free as whyte pockets 18m to start again.whytes cash only after HMRC have been paid in full.so 40m+10m(the black hole)+running costs till summer means no players in now unless wages are freed from out-going players.not rumour bears just proffesionals looking at objectively and counting beans

Believable2 Unbelievable6

Not working in the financial sector you can imagine i like yourself do not have an iota of the outcome of this case. What i do know is if we were bang to rights as you put it the case would not be about liability it would be about how much we were owe.I wouldnt drink from the cooler m8 its contaminated.Shaun H

Agree1 Disagree1

If Rangers go in to administration the tax man and every other creditor will only be due a certain percentage in the pound.

Agree2 Disagree0

Shaun h;rangers have admitted to the "wee tax case" but are arguing about the penalty involved(1.8m i think) same with the "big tax case"(16m again i think) whyte must know this is conna cost somewhere down the line.you are right i dont know the outcome of this but i have access to people who can say what they expect to happen with a good degree of authority having been involved in avoidance/evasion tax cases.apparently the smoking gun is the letters to players exempting them.the percentage in the pound theory comes into force after HMRC receive their money

Believable4 Unbelievable1

I don't think anyone will be coming in, more than likely we will lose players. I will wait and not speculate about this player or that player. I'm realistic, we've no intention of buying anyone until after the HMRC case. Win it and we will see - lose it and we could be screwed for years.

Just heard Ian Danter on talksport saying Birmingham City are looking to offload a few players this window to balance the books, especially the likes of Ridgewell and Zigic who are still on premiership wages. Not for 1 minute am i suggesting we should go for these players i have mentioned but i heard a name mentioned in that same piece today that would be ideal for us....Adam Rooney.

He isn't getting a sniff of first team football at Birmingham and when Jelavic moves on i'm sure we could tempt Birmingham with a few hundred thousand to get the lad. Don't think his wages would be too rich either. I thought he was excellent for ICT and would be good for us, big, strong and can score goals. I think he's mid 20's too so the sell on factor is there as well.

I'd be happy with him and O'connoe being brought in when Jelavic goes. I know they are kinda similar, although O'connor's maybe a bit more mobile but it could well be a partnership that could win the title?

Can we please have a stop to folk moaning about Celtic fans posting on here or people not having their posts put up on the site. If you don't like the Celtic fans posts just ignore them. Obviously if you are moaning about Celtic fans posting it means they annoy you. Why do you get annoyed by them? Take it as a compliment that thay are on here more than their own page. The one's who come on and make stupid and snidey comments are far more worried about us and more concerned with our team than they are their own. Some posters such as Lenny and CB do come on and engage in decent banter now and again so don't tar them all with the same brush. You can hardly expect Lenny, CB to come out and say your teams fantastic and i hope you win the league though can you? If they came on and agreed with everything posted here there would be no banter. So man up and stop moaning.

A few bears have been posting about titles won.

Well listen to this since 2000 Rangers have won 5 titles the direct benefit of their EBT arrangement.
£24m owed in Tax was instead ploughed into the club. This money gave Rangers an unfair advantage.

It has been recorded that Whyte's media people have been contacting all news outlets since before Christmas with news of a "Deal" on the big tax case.
However your erstwhile owner met with RSA representatives, and told them a deal was "unlikely because of involvement of MP's in London criticising HMRC over their cosy deals"

The "spin" is getting confusing when even insiders within Ibrox are telling different stories.
Whyte has "softened" up all Rangers fans for the bad news (Administration) by saying a "newco" Rangers 2012 will take over. But even "newcos" must face penalties and it these penalties which while not extinguishing Rangers will severely hinder them for a few years to come. Timalloy
PS Keep hearing Scottish Football needs a "strong" Rangers as well as Celtic, funny we never heard these same press men say that when McCann saved Celtic. A weak Rangers will have no impact on Celtic as we are a well run and financed club and will improve our revenue other ways if need be. Hail hail

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Ehhh think you will find that it still hasnt been proved that gers did anything illegal. So are you saying that the leagues we have won wen we have been financially fooked ie the last three years should count as double ?! nothing wrong with spending money at currently as we stand gers havent been proven of breaking any laws numptee

What are these tims on haha? The history books don't lie, just like the recent Old Firm game, the game was rightfully 1-1 as Rangers had scored but it didn't count and the history books won't mention that Rangers should have been level. Rangers have won their last 3 titles with a depleted squad and constant injury crisis. Get a grip.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bang on.nothing proven yet...only cos the case hasnt been heard! whytes latest quotes must worry all gers fans as it looks like admin at best n liquidation at worst.no money, players refusing new deals and alouko paying his own way.im sure whyte dznt fancy ally n this might suit him as he cant giv him any more cash to waste(ortiz, bedoya, mckay) leaving "new rangers"to start up again at much reduced costs to pay the tax bill we will hav to pay.points deduction n 3 year euro ban will financially hinder us for years

why not go for a 3-4-1-2 formation

Alexander
Goian, Boca, Bartley(or Papac)
Aluko, Edu, Mackay, Wallace
Fleck,
Healy, jelavic

Would be refreshing to see something a bit different

Assembly meeting with Chairman Craig Whyte

- No scope for negotiating a settlement with HMRC due to the criticism they have had from MPs and the Media about some high-profile "deals". That means the case could take even more time to resolve as any outcome is likely to be appealed by either party.

There will be comings and goings in the January transfer window - however, players need to go to ensure any new arrivals don't increase the number of players and the salary costs and it is unlikely that all income will be used to buy new players. He emphasised we need creative players and strikers. There is a list of targets but no names were mentioned.

I got this information and copied and pasted it from a facebook fan site so it isnt exactly to be taken as gospel. Just wondering what everyones thoughts were?
Glad to see he will re-invest money made from transfers!

Believable0 Unbelievable3

This is a very strange 'test case' for HRMC to be undertaking, as I believe it was the HRMC who initially gave RFC advice on this issue before RFC got involved.

jordan mcmillan has knocked back a new deal for 2k per week.thamks ally, for me an outstanding prospect who at 22 should have had much more game time.to play broadfoot, bartley et al ahead of this boy is a disgrace,he has probably been sickened by this the same way bendikson was.at parkhead we were crying out for something diff so ally sends healy on instead of bendikson! mr whytes latest quotes are readying us for years of hardship n probably murray park being sold or at best sold then leased back to us.these young players must be thinking about getting out and i can see a day when none of them re-signs.IF the tax bill goes to 50m + whytes 10m black hole then do the math.....

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Thanks ally ?! ally aint setting any budgets so how can he be blamed ..... 3k is the standard deal for a youngster thas broken thro (see gregg wylde, Fleck, ness and hutton) macmillan hasnt broken thro to the extent the others have (with exception of fleck and his contract was done to stave away interest at a young age) so in accordance with the rest of the squad 2k a week is a very fair deal .... a youngster back up player who is not first choice still got offered more than what a first choice striker at every other spl team (obv not celtic) gets.

Germinator

Agree0 Disagree0

Germinator; i mean if he had been playing it would hav been easier to get him re-signed.agree the money on offer is reasonable but at 22 he should be further up the ladder and receiving better wages.example; danny wilson, out on loan at the moment n probably regretting jumping to soon but his wages will comfort him and mcmillan will go same way

On a daily basis i get a slagging off of the Celtic fans i know about how Rangers are going bust and how they think this is great o what a big laugh it is to them but dont they relise if Rangers dont exsist then Celtic dont! Sky Sports have already made it clear if there is no more Old firms theres no more tv money! and there response is well we will just go to the EPL or Championship! which just will never happen but my point is do these Celtic fans not know the saying Two birds with one stone!

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Were are you getting this myth from? Why would Celtic go to the wall if rangers go out of business? The sky money is buttons and we would be firm favourites to be given a shot at the CL every year, and that is much more money than sky give the SPL.

Wolvibhoy

Agree2 Disagree2

Rangers will exist but we might have to change our name if we go into liquidation rather than admin.we would of course hav a 10-25 points deduction and a three year euro ban which would be a financial nightmare leaving celtic free access to any euro money available(hopefully not champs league as that would leave us years behind them).i do not think we would drop a division cos of sky tv deal

Agree1 Disagree0

You wont go bust, you will just be operating as a team like st mirren or hibs would! reality check you require

Agree1 Disagree0

They have a very short memory don't they ? Just a couple of hours from the lights going out and the padlock going on the gates, and they still think it's funny to laugh at the current situation at Rangers. The irony stinks ! It also seems lost on some of the deluded masses, no more CL football for either of the old firm is a stark reality in the coming years, regardless if there are both, or one of them still operating. The standard of player at both clubs and the poor showings in europe this season should tell you all you need to know. Rangers were far worse, but hey, the only reason that mob got to the Europa group stages, was because " they were cheated again " Lol, nothing to do with the fact that they were complete dross in the qualifiers, just as we were. Rangers will survive in the same capacity as they have for the last century, simply because people like myself and countless thousands will always go watch the CHAMPIONS OF SCOTLAND, GLASGOW RANGERS.... There will be an outcome which will suit both Rangers and her royal highnesses representatives from the revenue department. The only ones the outcome will not suit, are the bhitter ones from dharksville. Sad as that is, but they are indeed twisted individuals who cannot see what the demise of either of the old firm would mean to Scottish, British and European football. Alas, you get what you pay for, and we'll see who is laughing come the handing over of league medals this season, eh? AndytheGer

If Rangers wither and die so does the SPL and the TV deal with Sky and ESPN.

Agree4 Disagree2

Think the "withers and dies" comment simply means on a level in which your team operated on to what it will in the future

Agree0 Disagree1

If we wither and die there will be very little telly money coming into the spl coffers, hence you won't be around much longer either. Rangers and celtic are different sides of the same coin, we need each other to survive.

Question for Miko .... and i wonder how he will avoid answering the question you think it will be a pathetic put down? ignore the question or open eyes and face the truth ... lol the latter aint gonna happen !

Okay Miko the team that wins the league is the team that accumulates the most points or gets most wins bla bla bla ..... not a question just a factual point ......

Now if rangers and celtic have played in the same amount of league campaigns in the exact same league for their total existence, still with me .... now throughout this entire history of playing the same teams in the same country at the same sorta time/ conditions etc who has won the most amount of leagues ...... and perhaps you can give your reasons behind why they have .......

dont suppose u wanna talk about the head to head ratio between gers and celtic ? Na god forbid if rangers have beaten celtic more times so again this wouldnt mean that overall were have been better either eh .......... balls in ur court now ......

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Doubt you will get an answer at the moment, Miko, CB and Timalloy are having a wee Hoopy huddle, with CB the one in the middle ;)

Agree1 Disagree0

Celtic have won more games tbh if u look at the all round games win ratio that may just be in the Spl formed also when Celtic win its normally done. By playing free flowing attacking football not the rangers style park the bus 10 men behind the ball

Lets face the facts here, the tax case is something that could possibly destroy Glasgow Rangers FC so the likelihood of any of the details of the dealings of the case being released to your average Joe, or even being discussed outside of the meetings are extremely slim.

Secondly, nobody has a clue as to how this jokers mind works so we cannot speculate as to how he will/wont release funds for the transfer window. He could be penny pinching until he knows we don't have a large tax sum to pay and then give McCoist a war chest, or he may well be more hard up than Marvin from The Scheme and just duped the old board into thinking he was Alan Sugar.

But basically, all these clowns on here that end there posts with 'FACT', or 'i know this because I feed his sisters grandsons lovers cat on a wednesday', need to realise that by saying this guff, doesn't make it suddenly true, however much you may want it to be. So grown up, and start posting things with some substance.

Personally I would cash in on jelavic but would not accept anything less than £10 million, premiership clubs have the money to spend and aslong as we hold firm we will get the asking price.

I would then look to bring in kris Boyd, on a free transfer it seems a no brainer. He may not be the most dynamic player in the world but he has and will score goals.

I would also look to bring in Gary O'conner on the cheap again he isn't the best striker in the world but he is decent and would do a decent job even if it is as a back up.

A loan move for possibly a midfielder similar to the deal we got for Davis a few years back where he made a great impact, someone with some good experience and a bit of quality, a graham dorrans if you like.

I would block any loan moves of Kyle Hutton as I think the lad could be used as cover for the midfield and I would try and move on ortiz as he has been the biggest dud, waste of money i have seen at ibrox for many years.

The future may look pretty bleak the now but hopefully the tax case goes in our favour and we can pay off any debts that we have then we can start thinking about the fantasy signings we all want to see at ibrox.

Why is everyone so pro getting rid of Matt McKay. He's had little to no chance to show what he can do? The only reason I say is being a Blue Bear living in Sydney, he was a class act to watch both for Brisbane and for Australia. You don't get player of the season for nothing.

Is there another reason behind Ally not giving him a run of games? Rangers worked so hard to get him to Scotland (transfer/visa wise) and now he just sits on the bench :s

I'm getting ticked off with all this mince.

Reports coming out is that we are pulling out of the Scott Allan deal as West Brom have offered 400k and thats over our offer price but celtic may match the bid.

If thats over our offer price then i'm gob smacked .

The tax case will be over by the 18th Jan the it will take to around march before we find out the outcome so i'm just hoping we are not waiting to find out what happens before we spend anything .
If we sell a few playes i hope we get some of the money to re-invest .

I know we wount get a large portion as we cant afford it just now due to finance and the tax case all i hope for is the fans still support the team and not go crazy if we dont get to many players in .

Everyone is saying Murray could have killed the club if we lose the case . ( i've had many debates with fans in ibrox and down the pub about it ) But everyone was shouting at murray to spend the money when the chip where down and he did , thats why we are in this mess . If we have to take a knock this season and next , I would be gutted and hurt but i would accept it if we came back stronger for it.

Remember i would rather keep the 54 and wait for 55 that win 1 and start again from 0.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

06 Jan 2012 01:40:39
What do you think whyte is up to? It just does not make sense, why buy a club that has a potential huge tax bill hanging over its head. If my house is worth £100k, and you agree price, if I then tell you you may get a bill for £50k, you are not going to buy it or you are going to ensure that I would be liable for the bill. I am of the opinion that he will put us into admin if we lose the case, then buy back with no debt and sell for a few million pounds profit. However why would he be the one to take into admin, why not just wait and then buy it with no debt. I just don't get it. I keep thinking that Ellis who is a property man has some part to play. Is the sale of Murray park a possibility?
He did months of due dilligance and now finds a £10m hole, was this just the potential cl money? and if not how was this only recently discovered?
Has King got a part to play, when and if his own problems are concluded?, and what about D Murray, he leaves us in the s**t, and receives no criticism.he also stated that he wOuld only sell to somebody that can take us forward. Whyte does not appear to be that person.
So many questions to be answered but no answers.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Why would he buy it now , cause it only cost him £1 that's why the other 18 million is in a floating charge . which means if we lose the case he gets it all back and lose's £1 but if he wins the case he then pays the £18 million to the bank debt and issue's them into shares and then sells the club on for a massive profic . That's why he is a venture capitalist. He buys small and sells big and these guys cover all there money so they dont lose any and most of the money they use are usually other invetors money so they dont have any risk . ( just like the banks )

We are obviously skint, but I would question the recent signing policy. Whilst bocanegra has done ok, there will be no sell on fee, same with goian. Would it not be better to sign young potential, that we could make a few bob on. Let's be honest we are in a great position to sell at the over inflated prices that the English teams pay. We are the perfect shop window, for somebody that does well here has a great chance of the epl.
I would like to see young talent, we may have some inconsistent performances. We need young legs instead of players approaching the end of the career.
We spend decent money on jelavic and we will make a decent profit, you sometimes need to speculate to accumulate.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Scottish sides don't see over-inflated prices for people (Craig Gordon aside probably due to mad Vlad brinkmanship more than anything else), we get buttons from them generally. Most folk would be quite happy with £8.5m for Jelavic- the same money chelski will have to pay to get that dumpling Gary Cahill from Bolton six month before he's free.

RANGERS ARE SKINT SO STOP WITH ANY OFVTHE FOLLOWING

rangers will buy
Rangers will loan
Or even rangers will be getting for free

You could not afford compo for aluko so what makes you think u can afford transfer fees wages or even the cash you pay to loan players

The ONLY and I mean ONLY. Way rangers will sign any one is if they get rid of

Lafferty - Bolton 2-3mil
Megregor - man utd or villa 3-4 mil
Edu - newyork red bulls or Cardiff 500k -1mil
Jelly legs - villa-Sunderland -5-6 mil if lucky and 30% goes bk to rapid Vienna
Weir -free
In the summer
Nasmith - villa -west ham if they go up Cardiff 2-3 milBoyd to team up with miller at Cardiff by Monday morning

Believable5 Unbelievable3

For a start your valuations are a bit far of the mark and so is your info the money owed to rapid was on games played basis and im led to beleive that is paid. on the other matter just out of intrest you know we wont sign anyone or have any money how? because the papers told you or one of your celtic pals? why dont you stick to worring about your own team thats a good bhoy!

Agree1 Disagree0

We still have over 1 million to pay Rapid for jela as we took the transfer fee over 30 months , payments payed every 6 months. that's how it is been . most transfers are payed that way now. but rapid dont have any future % after sale so the 30% is one load of cr*p.

As for McGreagor , Man Utd or Villa wont bid for him , if anyone does it will be Arsenal or Liverpool as i heard reina wants to leave. Possibly tottenham . and for 7 million.

Edu to france for 750 k - 800k

And in all honesty the only players i see leaving Rangers this winter are.

Weir.
Broadfoot.
Ortiz.
Possibly Jelavic.

Loan out.
Ross Perry
Rhys McCabe

Possible In.

Novo ( only if released from spanish club ) possibly Ortiz offered.
