Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

06 Feb 2020 22:20:48
Signs of encouragement last night especially 2nd half but why do our fans insist in slating the players when things don't go right the stick Ryan Kent got was a disgrace. Encourage the players getting on there backs won't help.

07 Feb 2020 06:59:07
Kent is vital to Rangers even when he is not at his best, don’t forget he’s only 21. He will become a Rangers hero get off his back and get behind the boy confidence is a big part of any players game.

07 Feb 2020 10:06:43
Gerrard is bringing the stick on him by making him one of his “undroppables. ”

Would love to know the comparison in actual end product between Kent and Stewart, relative to minutes played. I would bet good money Stewart is the more productive player.

07 Feb 2020 15:25:25
Stats only tell part of the story thewagsman. I don't mind Stewart, think on occasion he could have played more than he has but I don't think he's anywhere near Kent to be honest. Kent is in a poor patch, performance wise that's all.

07 Feb 2020 15:59:39
Correct mr grumpy. Stewart does add on occasion when he plays but never a patch on Kent.
Also folk say Kent needs dropped very seldom any manager drops a player who is such an expensive signing. Kind of admits he got it wrong.
I under stand why sg plays him in middle however I’d prefer him down the line. But sg knows what he is trying to achieve.

07 Feb 2020 22:03:13
I agree mate. Although kent isn't playing to his best just now, doesn't mean he's all of a sudden become a bad player, as some would make out he was. He's a quality player, who'll regain his best form,
no doubt about that. He'll prove to be a great signing for us. Get behind him, instead of hanging off the guy's back.

06 Feb 2020 21:45:11
5 game ban for Michael Beale for Celtic incident. I don't see any ban for Leigh Griffiths for his stamp on Hamilton player. How many games would that be for Morelos?

5 game ban seems very excessive. Calshaw given two game ban for Hibs game. No ban for any Hibs staff. How can that be!

07 Feb 2020 07:34:39
BRW11 - simple and honest answer - its because we are Rangers, no one likes us but we don't care!

07 Feb 2020 08:33:01
it would have been 0 for Morelos, as was shown last season when he "stamped" on Ralston in old firm game

dont drop to thier level and whine about it. Neither was a red as far as i'm concerend

as for Beale, was it not 3 match? still excessive but he did deserve a ban as he lsot it.

07 Feb 2020 11:19:47
didnt have my morning coffee.5 is right enough.

07 Feb 2020 13:55:38
5 game ban, 2 games suspended pending future behaviour.

06 Feb 2020 21:27:38
5 match ban for Mick Beale for the John Kennedy bust up. 5 match ban for words being exchanged. I was going to say unbelievable but nothing suprises anymore. Lennon got involved. 5 match ban coming his way too no doubt?

06 Feb 2020 21:49:35
Yeah I’ve just posted something similar c of Ibrox. Sadly nothing should surprise us it just looks like there is agenda here and don’t mean to sound like how paranoid that lot have been for years but the evidence is becoming over whelming!

06 Feb 2020 18:40:38
a well deserved 3 points for us last night, as I said a few days ago think we need to win every league game before the old firm game to have any chance, why is it that Aberdeen hibs hearts when there at home and Kilmarnock play like there lifes depends on it against us.

06 Feb 2020 20:40:13
I expect it's becoause they know we are beatable if they try hard enough against us after seeing our recent form and as someone posted on here they'v sussed exactly our style of play that seldom varies.

Hopefully Stevie can see that and do like the mhankies do on occasion.

However Stevie can't win with some of us as if he tries different formations and tactics that don't work out he will get dogs abuse from some.

07 Feb 2020 14:26:20
Are all of the other teams unbeatable if they try against them like? What a statement that is billy.

07 Feb 2020 22:30:14
Aye, bluebilly.

06 Feb 2020 13:49:49
does anyone know what's happening with the chairman situation?

06 Feb 2020 14:54:39
Balloon at time of agm it was stated a group would be set up to look at a share issue which would start around March.
Thereafter it is proposed that Mr King would stand down and a new chairman would be selected.
I suspect we will see new chairman in post by end of May, there is really no hurry.
Also believe some major shareholders would be happy to see king see out season as chairman if we were to win league.

06 Feb 2020 17:03:01
Sorry predictive text Balloch.

06 Feb 2020 20:23:41
right first time ;-)

07 Feb 2020 18:22:49
Would love to see Mr King unfurl flag . bring a tear to a glass eye.

06 Feb 2020 13:41:52
I think all this paranoia re refs is OTT. They are just horrific at their "job". One game they can be in our favour the next they are against us. If we do our business as we can then the refs won't matter!

06 Feb 2020 14:05:08
Kri55 I used to think the same as you mate but its not evening itself out this year.

06 Feb 2020 14:17:51
Id love to think the same however they have gotten into the minds of the referees. Since the abuse of John Beaton referees around scotland have become terrfied to give us anything. Its much easier for them to give any 50/ 50 decisions against us then subsequently apologise after the game than it is for them to risk ridicule and a media onslaught. That on top of the fact that a select few are truely incompetent.

06 Feb 2020 15:18:32
Totally agree been saying this for months dunloy that the referees are terrified to give 50/ 50 decision in our favour as every decision that is given in our favour is scrutinised from every single camera angle. It used tobe every few games you would get a horrendous decision give for or against your team. This season it just seems to be nearly every game that there is at least a couple
of horrendous decisions are going against our club. We have been lucky that on most occasions these decisions haven't impacted us and we have went on to win these individual games, which imo have let the refs off of the hook. However as in the cup final these horrendous decisions can cause us silverware and if something isn't said or done they could cost us the league.

It just seems tobe, that there is no consequences for Referees clancys last performance in the recent old firm game was one of the worst refereeing performances I've have every witness, yet the following week he was refereeing another top flight game. We won that game and with the dims media influence, they managed to turn the focus onto Alfie's and Kenticals celebrations and sending off, thus letting the ref off of the hook again.

It's about time that our club drafted up the same letter that the dims used in seeking clarification and highlighting certain decisions and what the consequences are for these referees making these decisions.

I want to be clear with this post that I certainly don't want to go down the para route and certainly don't think that these referees performances, are as a result of them being pro Celtic or that they are bias. However the pressure that has been influenced on these individual referees from a certain Glasgow club both as a club and its fans imo is having an influence in their decision making.

06 Feb 2020 15:48:49
Apparently the BBC stats have Madden giving more free kicks to hibs than us last night, a lot of the hibs fouls were assaults, that last one by Stevenson on Alfie was outrageous, and would have been a foul on a rugby pitch, but what does madden do - nothing, and the linesman less than 10yards away didn't even raise his flag?!

06 Feb 2020 18:21:58
For what it's worth I have read Morton fans online saying he wasn't much better in his match before.

07 Feb 2020 07:48:53
linesman did raise his flag.

06 Feb 2020 13:33:45
I was worried to see Hagi in starting 11 as I thought he wasnt here long enough to play in a game that nothing but 3 points had to be won. I was proved very wrong.
However I thought Edmundson was very impressive. Do you think he will take katic place?

06 Feb 2020 14:20:19
His Jersey to lose now imo. Was the same when katic came in and done well. Since then his performances have been poor.
Just to add i have been one of Goldsons biggest critics however since october he has been a rock for us and i have been impressed by him.

06 Feb 2020 14:56:40
Katic blows hot and cold, happens with young lads we saw same last year, he will continue to improve.
Goldston is our best CH.

06 Feb 2020 15:09:11
Felt sorry for big Katic getting dropped but got to say the boy Edmunson looks the part every time you see him. Think the big fellas in the team to stay.

06 Feb 2020 15:20:25
Thought big Edmundson done very well last night, i'm a massive Katic fan but based on his performance against the sheep i can see why he had been dropped. good place to be at though when you're torn over the centre half pearing you choose. For me Helander is bottom of the pecking order which says something because i don't think Helander is bad its just places for that position are very competitive and based on Edmundson's performance last night he has definitely given Gerrard a lot to think about.

06 Feb 2020 17:45:49
Edmundson did fine last night. I really like him and think he will be a great centre half for us. I still feel sorry for Katic. The best way to let someone get over a bad game is to send them out and give them a chance to play better. Like i said in a post last night it only takes one poor game for Katic to get dropped. For others in the team they are given the opportunity to go show what they can do in the next game.

I completely disagree with anyone who says Katic has been horrendous. His distribution is sometimes a bit slack but in general he's been good since coming into the team in my opinion.

06 Feb 2020 18:28:05
Agree mate, big niko has a bad game he's dropped, others get 6 or 7 games like that.

06 Feb 2020 19:40:15
i think Katic has had more than one bad game. unfortunately for him his mistakes can cost goals where as someone further forward wont. the other aspect is the performance of all 3 of them aren't that far apart ie not much difference between 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice so its easier to drop him. other positions don't have the luxury of having 2 replacements waiting in the wing to take over at same or better level.

07 Feb 2020 00:10:30
John25, I agree young players will blow hot and cold. Edmundson is a year younger than Katic, so no doubt he will hit a spell of poor form too, and it will be all change again?

07 Feb 2020 00:12:52
Bring honest geeza, we had 3 clean sheets out of 4. Defending hasn't been the problem since break middle to front we've been terrible. Davis looks like the davis from last january kamara been awful kent awful. Still think katic is gerrards scapegoat at times.

07 Feb 2020 12:00:15
Agree Covenanter, two good young players for us, the next change could be Helander back in.
Defending against hearts and hibs goals were not the best, however that is first goal we have lost in league at ibrox since October.
Let’s keep it tight and deliver more up front.

07 Feb 2020 12:02:25
Geesa interesting to not manager says he changed Katic as he was moving the ball to slow against the teams who defend deep.
He says he played Edmundson as he moves ball quickly and more accurately.

06 Feb 2020 10:29:22
Good result and improved performance last night. Young Hagi settling in nicely. Only 6 league games before Celtic at Ibrox. Let's get behind the team and go on a run.

06 Feb 2020 15:23:10
Hagi will be our Key player, for me he could be a better signing than Kent has been and i do rate Kent. Think the staff at the club should be very proud that they have been able to acquire such a talent. I'm sure i read that premier league teams in England and teams like Bayern Munich etc. are keeping tabs on him.

06 Feb 2020 17:20:07
Agree with absolutely everything you say Bankie, particularly at the end, we really do need to get right behind the team.

06 Feb 2020 10:00:41
Forgetting about the refereeing performance last night our 2nd half display was excellent. The treatment of Ryan Kent by some gers fans is a joke though. I posted about him being frustrated at not getting enough supply from his teammates and going looking for the ball. At the start of the second half he held his position wide and high and showed glimpses of what he is capable of. Beating his man and getting the ball in. It was obvious that Gerrard had told the team to deliver early crosses into the box and that's what they did. It caused chaos in the Hibs defence and the amount of corners we won in the second half as a direct result of this was unbelievable.

Ryan Kent will get his confidence back and prove to be one of our best players. I just hope that the fans get off his back and understand that when he roams from his position its for the right reasons, showing great attitude to get more involved in the game.

06 Feb 2020 10:20:18
Definate improvement MOCbear, and yes we had loads of corners they did not result in goals tho .

And yes the refereeing was abysmal but some of us are beginning to sound like loony lenny on his previous stint wi them "never their fault".

Some saying should we should complain to the SFA about poor refereeing .
All the panels are dominated by celtic interested parties Lawell / whyte and god knows how many others so thats's a no no.

Our players should look on this as motivation for revenge and get it up them.

06 Feb 2020 10:32:04
Why is it that when any of our players are struggling for form some fans can’t wait to get on they’re back. Kent is the latest to be whipping boy in the past it’s been Borna. When Kent gets his form back which he will then some other player will get groans every time he gets the ball. How about everyone get behind the team and we will see players wanting the ball again.

06 Feb 2020 10:32:48
All you hear is 7m man this and that around you at game, it’s a joke. The guy is quality we knew his end product was nt always top notch but he’s worth it. Too much pressure being aimed at him to pull us through when others need to chip in. Good second half from the team but need to get clinical again as if it was nt for hagi magic finish then that was a draw and game over. Hopefully it’s the boost we need to kick on.

06 Feb 2020 10:36:06
Fair enough Bluebilly. You're right, any complaints we make would fall on deaf ears.

06 Feb 2020 10:57:43
kent's form has been poor, and a rest out of first 11 might help him focus more. We all know how good he can and should be, but players do suffer at times, often by trying too hard. he is a case in point. booing the lad will not help.

06 Feb 2020 15:55:38
I think Kent would have more success if he stayed wider, him and borna could terrorise defenders between them. He is wasted with all this cutting back into the middle, and I agree that we should look to get the ball in the box earlier instead of this slow sideways stuff, but we need bodies to get in there when they come in. We did seem to do that more in the second half last night, and looked better for it.

06 Feb 2020 16:19:42
He needs taken out of the lineup for a bit. Mid-table teams can afford to let players play through dips in performance, title chasing teams can’t. Give him a rest and some appearances off the bench till he gets back up to form.

07 Feb 2020 18:17:04
Struth, When a player is a bit low on confidence the last thing u do is drop them. We heard the same with Tav etc. Kent just needs to relax n do the simple thing. Last night was an example of how fickle our fans can be, someone beside me was screaming to the player shoot shoot, the player shot, it was blocked and the guy said why the fk did he just shoot there.

Remember these guys are the same ones who were doing the business before year end. Someone just stated if it wasn't for hagi goal it would have been a draw, well had it not been for their goal it would have been a 0-0 draw. What a stupid statement. Games last 90mins, doesn't matter if we score un the 1st or 90th. As long as we score one more than opponents who cares!

07 Feb 2020 18:25:08
Goal of the season . Kent . smeltic 1. Rangers 2
Give the boy a break.

06 Feb 2020 09:16:53
I see f@nny baws stewart has got the boot. It's about time, the bigoted little d#ck.

06 Feb 2020 10:21:41
Wonder what dic head they will get to replace him .

06 Feb 2020 10:58:25
it won't be for long, its just temp. bbc love him as he is anti gers.

06 Feb 2020 12:50:00
Probably be Hartson to replace him.

06 Feb 2020 18:49:46
Stewart only away for a week.

07 Feb 2020 18:10:08
Gers4 life, i always wondered who micheal stewart was, ss i couldn't remember him, football wise, once i googled his name i found out why ide never heatd of him, never won a thing in his football carrer, yet he is telling tv viewers where every league manager is going wrong, the guys a pudding, always has been always will be imo.

06 Feb 2020 09:03:08
I posted last night that I didn't want to hear excuses about refereeing performances. That was said out of frustration when we went 0-1 down last night. However looking at it again this morning, I have never seen a referee performance like it before from Madden, I thought Clancy's was bad, but last night's tops it without doubt. I accept that referees make mistakes as their human, however last night was more than a mistake. How Hibs and Aberdeen have finished the games with 11 is bewildering. Then you've got the Griffith's blatant stamp on the Accies player and not even booked - that would have been a straight red had it been Morelos. It's clear that we are now up against everyone if we are to win anything. Can anything be done? A complaint to the SFA will fall on deaf ears, can we go to UEFA?

06 Feb 2020 09:24:00
I agree with you mate but if we take our chances we pump them 3/ 4/ 5-1 last night. Arfield and Aribo good chances with someone volleying over from about 5 yards aswell. Hopefully we have now signed an midfielder who can finish in hagi. We re also not helped in some instances Alfredo throws himself down for very little/ first half. The rest of game however was ridiculous and the bear hug humping session was scandalous.

06 Feb 2020 09:37:31
Sirstruth, i'm a bit like you. I can moan about refs but wouldn't normally use it as an excuse but this season it has been shocking. Despite all the poor decisions, lack of yellow and red cards for hibs, allowing Morelos to give Stevenson an in game piggy back where did he get 5 mins of injury time and then play 6 mins. Yeah a couple of hibs players went down for a few seconds in the second half but never 5 mins. If Hibs were leading 2-1 at the time there would have been 2 mins tops of injury time.

Yes, i'm afraid to admit. i'm now jumping on the "officials are against us" bandwagon.

06 Feb 2020 11:00:38
Ref was abysmal and ignored his linesmen at times too. He was visibly annoyed when we scored the winner, then awarded 6 mins overtime which was stretching it a bit. Hibs, like aberdeen before were let off time after time.
Alas that's the way the sfa is now.

06 Feb 2020 15:00:09
Struth what a load of nonsense, ref was visibly annoyed when we scored.
He was just terrible, many on here starting to sound like them re paranoia.
We are Rangers, better than seeking to blame everyone else.

06 Feb 2020 17:48:23
We are not 'blaming everyone else'. We won. The referee at the very best made many dubious decisions (and non-decisions) against us that were mystifying and at worse blatant cheating.

06 Feb 2020 18:15:28
Covenanter my post elsewhere highlights benefits we have had in ref decisions.

07 Feb 2020 18:11:37
Mocbear, i posted on hear back in december saying the refs aren't giving us anything., i noticed some people are now starting to see what i noticed 10 year ago, lol.

06 Feb 2020 08:33:40
Anyone know of any rangers bars in Budapest?

06 Feb 2020 09:59:41
There's bar Ezra mate. Only it's miles from Budapest!

06 Feb 2020 11:38:48
Jordan no not any. there is a sports bar tho called champs. If u go there down stairs they will put on pretty much any game u like. Watched our end of season 5 all draw with hibs there couple years back.

06 Feb 2020 21:20:48
I remember watching a European match in a Scottish pub quite near the octogon. I’m sure it was called the Caledonian but to be fair that was years ago and so may not be there anymore. Great place to go an visit, try the wine tasting practically all you can drink for a tenner!

07 Feb 2020 07:01:19
Cheers guy just for the game at the weekend.

06 Feb 2020 07:27:30
Fingers crossed we will kick on from the 2nd half showing and get back to where we were before Xmas. We can’t afford another slip up as they are on fire right now and scoring for fun. It’s so evident that all the other teams up there game against us. Last nights scores reflect that big time. Victims of our own success.

06 Feb 2020 08:50:49
What success?

06 Feb 2020 13:19:43
Most successful club. everyone wants to beat us.

06 Feb 2020 05:18:42
Second half of last nights game gave me hope of things to come. Reminded me of the team before dubai. wouldve been criminal had we not won with that 2nd half performance.

Hagi was immense last night. deserved his goal. felt the left hand side was a lot better at attacking than centre and right. was a straight toss up between hagi and barasic for motm.
Kent done ok apart from some of his crosses . still don't get why he does these step overs instead of cutting in and taking a shot. tav done good. seemed to bring a bit of morale back.

And last but not least. WTF was going on with the officials last night. best one was morelos being held as if he was resisting arrest and still not even a yellow. that was a disaster job by the ref last night. atleast 4 yellows and 2 red for them i counted. slated the ref last week and got called on it saying it was our fault we didn't win and to stop blaming the officials. well even though i can't remember who called me out on it i'm sure quite a few people will agree with me that the ref was a joke last night. and he did genuinely look gutted when hagi scored. and 100 percent shagger was fouled prior to their goal. hibs are lucky. var wouldve had them 2 men down atleast and their goal definately wouldn't have stood.

06 Feb 2020 00:41:37
Watched Aberdeen kick the rubbish out of rangers and get away with it now watched hibs do the same, do we get no protection, neither Aberdeen or hibs should have lasted with ten men on the field, might sound negative but bloody hard to watch others getting away with worse, looks like if we are going to win anything we are going to do it without help from officials not that it should be a surprise but last two games been ridiculous. But that's just my take on it and sometimes it's good just to get it out there.

07 Feb 2020 18:12:13
70sger, i wonder if there is anyone we can ask to look at a few of our games just to see an noutsiders view, its pointless asking the sfa or uefa to get involved cause one or more ex celtic players have got there smely feet under tha table with them already.

06 Feb 2020 00:25:37
Stuff about Kent too far for me. Boy is a baller on his day. He's one in a field of ten. Except Barasic (who I see as our best player) he is our marquee player. We'lol have him next year and then he'lol go places! Mark my words, him and Barasic will be our Europa hero's! FF.

06 Feb 2020 05:21:36
The boy can play there is no doubt about it. he's just not performing at the minute. Still think we have paid about 3 mill over the odds for him though.

06 Feb 2020 06:40:19
I'm a massive fan of ryan kent but what has happened to him?
He looks frightened to take his man on now! He's nowhere near the form that won him the young player of the year last season, while on loan to us! Common kenty let's get back to tearing them apart again.

06 Feb 2020 07:50:00
Hes basically playing inside 1 and it's just not suiting him coops, it's done wonders for borna giving him space up that line but it's really affecting Kent's gsme.

06 Feb 2020 08:15:32
theyre setting up against him better, that's all.

06 Feb 2020 09:31:48
Agree Eric. Watch 2 men go to him everytime he gets the ball. Teams know he is a major threat so they try and snuff him out.

06 Feb 2020 00:15:18
Awright new to page! Followed while, like debate. Tonight needs to be start of something. Dug in, fought back . Hagi looking the part. What's anybody's thoughts on Tav atm? Love him no convinced the now.

06 Feb 2020 08:34:12
Alberts95,welcome aboard pal, tav is definetly back a week or so to soon, i think sg knows that he has been missed, expecting a lot from young hagi,

06 Feb 2020 07:50:47
Hes only played one game, u not been watching?

06 Feb 2020 10:10:10
Albertz95.Tav one game back after appendix op. And your not convinced He's been missed. no mistake.
