Bears there's a wee Turkish guy plays for Walsall, first name Ozurk or somethin Luke that but he's a smashing player he's small but very talented imo. Anyways if Gers were lookin for gems he's one mid or not, think Walsall got him for 250k so god knows what he would go for? oh and I don't play footy manager! honest Bears keep an yes out for this guy!

I agree that Jim McColl would be a great guy to have at the helm but I'm sure there is something written in to the contract at his firm whereby he is not permitted to invest heavily in an outside venture. Even though it is his firm the shareholders are in charge

A caller on The Clyde 1 phone in summed this season up for me.

The main difference between Rangers and Celtic, except the budget, is they have a manager who has improved almost every player that was already at the club. Brown and Mackay-Steven are prime examples.

Our squad is stagnant under the current management and many players appear to be going backwards.

I said it previously mate that Rodgers has signed very few players but quality . The others he brought in and never worked i. e toure and the goalie he done something about it .

I just feel the manager can see how hard a job it is. How big a club it is and his interviews tell me he is struggling . But he is not a quitter .

I just feel the whole place is at a low considering how buzzing he got the club last year at this stage till now. to be honest I have no clue what lies ahead I feel both Aberdeen and hearts have the momentum going ahead. Just can't see anything good happening remainder the season . Scary thought

There's one thing i will say regarding 2 managers you've mentioned in your post spurs 1974! Billy davies is a far better manager than derek mcinnes! No contest mate! Billy davies done the business with 3 clubs in england and done superbly well at his first club motherwell! Whereas derek mcinnes done well at St. johnstone and aberdeen but was a failure in england with bristol City!

These are the hard cold facts, its all there in black and white mate! I certainly wouldn't have derek mcinnes as rangers manager IF mark warburton was to leave! I'd have billy davies though!

looking at the way frank deboer had his team playing at ajax he favours the same formation as warburton is currently playing.

De boer favours playing from back with possession vertical passing organised midfield and defence and defends deep but pressing all the time to get ball back looks to get youth players into the first team and develop them.

Players switch positions looking to pass to the chanels with quick direct wingers deployed to take on there man this draws opposition out of defensive position then this allows the team to keep the ball as there is space in the middle that then allows the team to create chances threw the middle.

he doesn't seem to favour a proper striker rather going with a false 9 unless he has a quality striker at his disposal.

what is the overall view on this formation and do you think frank deboer could make it work at rangers players wise i think there would need to be wholesale changes to the squad for this to work.

It's the way warburton plays it though. He sticks with the same underperforming players like tavernier and halliday and doesn't have the ability to change things when they aren't working. Doubt frank de boer would take off a player to benefit his 'parent club' either

Before he got the inter job he left ajax after 6 years in charge as he felt he needed a fresh challenge. So there you have it mate, there is very much a realistic chance that we could get him, if we choose to part company with mark warburton! I'm still very much behind warbs anyway!

Frank hasn't returned to Ajax. Ronald is still there though, and he has no intentions of leaving. that's straight from the horses mouth. (I talk to Ronald quite often as I teach his kids to swim) Frank on the other hand is without a club, but he is looking for a club in the English premiership, so can't see him coming to us.

we really need to drop foderingham he is total liability our defence actually played better with gills in goal as he communicated better and settled defence down. Start the new guy see how he goes.433 ain't working as we know this needs changed asap. Get some midfield players that can actually tackle.

He is prone to the odd lapse of concentration as was the case when him and Hill had a defensive lapse against Ross County, however he has produced some outstanding goalkeeping displays since his arrival at Ibrox.
Against Hearts late on he had two tremendous saves which kept the score at 4-1.
I think Alnwick might feature v Morton as Gilks played in the cup games when he was at Rangers, but Fod
has the No1 jersey.

Not sure if dropping foddy is the answer to our problems but, I'd definitely like the other lad to get more of a chance that Gilks did during his time. I can only remember him playing twice and one of them was an outstanding performance against the stinky tinkers.

He does make good saves but that's his job. He has poor communication, concentration and the way warburton wants to play from the back foderingham struggles with this as he is too slow releasing the ball and usually ends up putting someone or himself under pressure

if you think foderingham is a liability you can't be watching the games. listening to pundits and persons on facebook who think that. he has been the only player this year who has shown he is good enough and has saved us on multiple occasions.

I honestly think this is the worst defence rangers have ever had, I cannot understand how players who have played in the English championship and even premier league can struggle so badly in an average league, It has to be the way they are being told to play that is causing the issue.

Kiernane played in the championship
senderos played in the premiership
clint hill played in both
Wilson has spl and championship experience
tav played in both

surely in all the years they have been playing they have picked up enough knowledge between them to know what is going wrong!

Kiernan wasn't good enough for the Championship. Senderos isn't as good as he once was. Clint hill is past it now. Wilson is injury ridden. Tav is a league 1 player at best. So ofcourse this will be one of the worst defenses we've seen at Rangers.

Yip the problem is the system. Look at Liverpool and us both same problems so flat no runs from midfield. Lack of a proper centre forward and midfielders don't have the grit and fight. Centreboard in both teams not great but certainly not the biggest problem.

I see everyone is still shouting out for warburton too change too 4-4-2 it's never going too happen if by some miracle it does it won't be for a prolonged period as he has the 4-3-3 system played by all rangers youth groups

this is his formation and he's not going too change it end stop going on about it you's are just annoying yourself

I think Saturday was very unlucky for warburton if we had taken a couple of the chances it would have taken some of the heat off him as we totally dominated the second half and most of the first

There goal was bad play by the players on the park nothing he could do about it same about the lack of goals it's not warburton that's missing the chances it's the players

More patience is needed I still believe if DK gave him 10 transfer fund for players of a good standard he would do well with it 4/ 5 players from that would totally change our team his two loan signing show he knows what a good young player looks like he just needs money too buy some of them and not poxy Bosman ones

Glad that's all off my chest I'm going for 4-1 rangers against Morton.

Their keeper pulled off a few good saves which really didn't help, scoring really is our issue. Dave King really needs to give Warbs a decent budget, we need 4 good players to come in, CB, RB, CDM, CAM. These players are all available IF King gives Warbs some cash.

Manager picks the players who aren't performing. Manager bought the players who aren't performing. Ross County could have been 3/ 4-0 up at half time. They missed an open goal and Fods made the best save I seen since mcgreggor vs weirder bremen.

We should have won by about 6. Never took the chances. No lack of effort just a lack of ability at times and with all the criticism a lack of confidence. Keirnan not playing well gets you left out of side but not abused by our own supporters and I can't help thinking that if Wilson is fit he should play left CB and a right footed player right CB.
