Just heard on tv that newcastle utd reserve team manager willie donachie has resigned his post tonight, I think scotland legend donachie would be a brilliant appointment for rangers as our new chief scout as he's proven to be very good in working with youth players, now if my memory serves me correct we wanted & made an approach for donachie around 18 months ago, as we badly need a new chief scout I really think we should make a move to bring donachie to rangers as he'd be terrific at identifying young talented players for us as this is the way we have to go for the future, its a no brainer as far as I'm concerned

God here we go again someone loses their job and we clamber to get them to Ibrox he is accused of hitting one of his players his team are third bottom of their league not much to have on your cv

Agree0 Disagree0

Op he would have his work cut out at ibrox he would hit a few of our players after some of our performances eh lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats the point of a new chief scout at the minute a no money to pay him b no money to spend on players c there are far more pressing matters to get sorted

Welcome back BIG RAM from Life on Mars, unfortunately since you've been gone there have been a few hiccups at Rangers. While you are catching up can I interest you in a sub prime mortgage, they are all the rage.

I'm just reading sly news and what is your manager all about. Why should he have an opinion on where finals are played. He should concentrate in doing his job and by reading posts on here he isn't doing it to your satisfaction. This man should just stop talking to the media as his credibility has gone since he has backed Mr Whyte and Mr Green.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Anyone who is on this site regularly knows I am not an Ally fan however he is entitled to give his opinion on the choice of the final. He was probably asked for his opinion and he gave it don't see what the issue is?

Agree0 Disagree0

@op he was only answering questions put to him but he's allowed an opinion like everybody else let's be honest here there was no way ibrox was ever going to be selected and what a feeble excuse for choosing parkhead but nice piece of work by lawell

Agree0 Disagree0

Reporter: "ally what do you think about the cup final being played at celtic park"

Ally: "obvious choice, "

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a pity the bookies don't do a book on where it would be played we could have made a feckin killin

Agree0 Disagree0

Wish I was as sure of winning lottery as I was of league cup final going to parkhead

Agree0 Disagree0

DJT1, even you were allowed your opinion so it doesn't matter how daft it is you are entitled to it!

Over the past few months I've grown ever more sick of the soap opera surrounding our club.

I'm not getting my hopes up too much for this happening but just maybe somebody can come up with some realistic proposals that give this a chance of taking place. Should have been two years ago but hey ho - at least some folk are doing something more than sitting on their backsides hoping for the best.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thatb would be the ideal situation but we would then be in a position where the club would be run commitee style and nothing would happen without a melee but I don't know much about the money held by various supporters groups but if there is some surely it would make sense for the present regime to sell some new shares in the company to the supporters groups even if it did dilute their own holdings it would be better than getting 2p in the £ in administration

Agree0 Disagree0

Op-I think fans should wait until shares hit 20p, then we should organise a bring a empty ginger bottle to the game day.
for every ginger bottle we collect the 20p we receive can buy a share.
if 45,000 turn up every home game with an empty, think about that's 45,000 shares a week.
club would be fan owned in no time.
slogan-don`t be stingy bring a gingy.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - ginger bottles are worth 30p now bluebeard lol)

{Ed-30p an empty, what are we waiting for?
limeade bottles excluded.
Diet coke man myself.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Go back to my youth and chap all the nieghbours doors asking for "empty gingies". At least we can laugh about it)

Aye no bad wee earner Ed, Barrs only, took bon accord but just tossed them.
Wedding scatters and embassy coupons was another seam.

Agree0 Disagree0

See you still keep your hand in with the latest exchange rate for empties Ed.

Ed, I'm absolutely disgusted by so called rangers fans posting vile, very personal insults on here regarding our manager ally mccoist, he may not be the best manager in our glorious history but he should not be subjected to some of these very personal insults, he's the glasgow rangers manager for god's sake get behind him, I agree the football at times ain't pretty but we are where we are and we just have to deal with it and get back to the big league, as long as ally wins the league each year he's done his job & when we get back to the premiership and only then should we start to really judge our manager, ally's came through at rangers what no other rangers manager has had to, its bad enough the celtic fans slagging off ally but rangers fans with their vile taunts in my opinion is totally disgusting, fair enough if you don't rate him that's fine your entitled to your opinion but stop the personal stuff, true 'gers fans don't slagg off our manager in public this way, get behind our manager & our great football club, mr mccoist your loyalty will never be forgotten & he always will be a true rangers legend and I've been going to ibrox for close on 40 years

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - what personal stuff?)

@op. I refuse to back a man who did not read his own contract, got shares on the cheap but urged the fans to buy full priced shares, is tactically inept, told the world he had taken a pay cut only thing was it took four months to implement, called for the identities of the judicial panel to be named pubicly, and has backed every single money grabber at ibrox over the last two years. if he had the slightest bit of integrity, he would have done walking away.

Agree0 Disagree0

OP now you have got that off your chest you will feel better. But hey it's all about opinions and some people on here disagree with you. All fans wanted him to do well but the football and tactics are sub standard and the fans are voting by not attending. No amount of impassioned pleas like this will change that. But your loyalty will be valued by Ally and lots of fans on here who share your opinion. Hughphil I find myself more in agreement with your take on our manager. But hey ho you buy a ST or pay at the gate you are entitled to an opinion- positive or negative. Free speech- people all over the world have died for it and are still dying for it and let's never take it for granted so best to accept we are a broad church and ultimately want the same thing. Some of us would just like a bit more value for our money- football used to be classified as entertainment.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, the personal stuff I'm talking about in particular is from a poster called spivsout, some of his attacks on our manager are way, way over the top, ie. he says mccoist is a leech, parasite etc, now as I've stated on my original post everyone has and deserves to have an opinion but this poster in particular in my opinion is way too personal, if he doesn't rate mccoist as a manager that's fair enough but to say some of the things he says about the man is shocking & that's my opinion, mccoist is more of a 'gers fan than he is,

Agree0 Disagree0

I have no problem with allys wages or his shares or statements he has made in the media my gripe is tactics or a lack of and woeful football and more asistants than some clubs have players its only because we are full time that gets us through most games as I say my gripe is the tactics and woeful management

Agree0 Disagree0

@nbear voting by not attending?40k a week ain't a bad attendence for where were at and your right its all about opinions but not turning up cause the football isn't spectacular is school boy material imo, as far as i'm concerned if we win every week i'm happy end of folk like you play right in to that lots hands RTID

Agree0 Disagree0

@3, mcccoist was a legend as a player, but as a manager I agree with spivsout. as you said, everyone is entiled to an opinion. mccoist's wage and bonuses as a manager would have paid the players wages budget for every other team in our division.

Agree0 Disagree0

No way are 40k in the stadium. Club deck is 3rd full Copland Road End could fit in lower or upper half. Only half decent filled side is Broomieloan and that's one-of family visits.

Agree0 Disagree0

BIG BAM, are you being serious? So we have to crawl our way back to the top league then all of a sudden Ally 'i'll say whatever the blue order boys will like' MCCoist is going to start playing sexy football? No of course he's not. Now with the squad we have we should coast the next league as well without having to buy anyone but fans are worried that we won't and why is that?! Because we know Mccoist has nothing. No tactics, no clue. Just cheap shares and a cv that says question of sport, Mccoist & McCauley and of course A shot at glory. That's the type of CV that makes you the highest paid manager in the country!

Agree0 Disagree0

@ Fergie. There are four possibilities for you stating 40+K every week. (1) You don't go to Ibrox (2) You failed your arithmetic o'level, (3) You are visually challenged (4) You are in denial

Whichever one it is had you been at Ibrox over the last few games and had looked around the stadium you would see it is barely half full.

One reason the football is poor- end of.
Now tonight will be different- cup game our nearest challengers in the league a recent Premier League team with high profile manager who has brought in some more quality.
Season tickets won't count tonight so it will be a more realistic crowd figure and it could be up towards 30,000.

And let's all hope for a good result AND Performance- please!
