If some one was to offer 10 mill
For morelos we need to be either
Taking it or get a manager that can deal with him most of the bookings he gets are ridiculous and of his own making
If we get 7 mill for our captain
We need to be taking it and get
Some one who wants to do the job
They celebrated the win against
Hearts like we won the league
If Flanagan gets a game because
He is scouser then it may be time to think about the manager.

06 Dec 2018 18:48:00
MA bow are u serious re manager.

06 Dec 2018 19:26:40
Steven Gerrard will do just fine for me, as our manager! Get a grip of yourself! This will be the same supporters, who will be on here saying stevie G is a great manager once he does well, which he will do!
Give the guy a few more transfer windows and then we'll see!

06 Dec 2018 20:02:53
Coop, i agree Gerrard must stay but my concern is do we have the money to back him. Rangers maybe forced to sell Morelos in January.

06 Dec 2018 20:05:57
Much as I hate to see us lose, but I believe that some of our players thought we were the finished article, and the found out their failings on Wednesday night. A win at the week-end is essential to get us back on line.

06 Dec 2018 21:02:18
GERRARD is doing fine, with the budget he got he has done fantastic. as far as i no league titles are handed out in may. he has blindspots for some players EJARIA, COULABALLY. they cannot play at same time. MORALOSwill go for more than 1o million, as for TAV if offer comes in sell for 7 million. We are still in the running for title, still lots of games and points to win. if we qualify for europe, what an achievement. beat the ****, a sign of progress, still in title race ill be happy. its only 6 mths into gerrards regime give him time.

06 Dec 2018 21:53:21
The lessons available from last night, as long as they are fully taken on board throughout the team, can provide a springboard to win the remaining games in December. Do that and we will be top of the league and in last 32 of EUrope come the winter break.

06 Dec 2018 23:09:22
My god it’s football . the best teams on the planet get beat on the way.

07 Dec 2018 07:42:34
Yeah that’s right lads. Punt our 2 biggest assets mid season who have 25 goals between them this term. Jesus tonight.

06 Dec 2018 15:38:30
I wish folk would calm down a wee bit we are going to have performance's and results got to take them on the chin and move forward which we are it's how we bounce back nothing less than 2 wins next two games. With no red cards. Last night was just a bad day at the office that's all.

06 Dec 2018 18:55:50
You make some good points mate. We have been beaten before and will be again but looking at the season as a whole it’s a million time better than last season
Keep calm and carry on. 2 or 3 in for January and go again. We won’t be far away when they hand out the prizes.

06 Dec 2018 15:37:43
After another disappointing defeat to the sheep we find ourselves at the footballing crossroads on here with posters opinions.
Some want to put the car into reverse and are hailing McInnes as some sort of footballing manager messiah!
Others want to veer left or right discarding half the team or manager and replacing them with who knows?
Some claim Morelos is a liability but wouldn’t take anything less than £15 million for him.

Others want Wallace brought back as some sort of saviour forgetting he has underachieved for 3 managers in the top flight and undermined 2 off them.
Some on here are having a pop at others for not having the guts to slate players. I prefer to look at where we are overall this season.
Punching above our weight in Europe and still challenging at the top of the SPFL.
I think most of us would have bitten the hand of anyone who offered that at the start of the season.

Yes the team were Tom Kite last night. Yes the manager has to take some of the blame as well.
But totally berating the same players who have got us to where we are this season? Sorry, that’s not my style.
He picks the team and the tactics so has to take it on the chin when we have a blip. But he can’t be blamed for individual players losing the plot through indiscipline.
Not one person on here can say that The Sheep have outplayed us on any of the 3 occasions they’ve played us this season.

Frustrated us? Yes. Lucky? No. Better than us? Definitely not. They came with a game plan and stuck to it. We currently don’t have the personnel to break teams down.
But Gerrard has said he would like to address that issue in January. A creative midfielder is a must.

Back to the footballing crossroads. Me? I taking the straight ahead option knowing / expecting some bumps along the way but never the less enjoying the ride.
We have some tough games remaining in December.
Time for the players to step up.
Time for Gerrard to rally the troops.
Time for us to back the team as only we know how.
In Gerrard We Trust.
Let’s Go! 55!

06 Dec 2018 16:17:35
Couldn't agree more uj. Some folk have short memories. A combination of poor play and bad luck did for ua last night. We accept it, boot Morelos in the nether regipn, and move on.

06 Dec 2018 16:28:43
Well said UJ.

06 Dec 2018 17:26:14
I'm convinced Morelos is as thick as two short planks, how many times can you tell an individual not to do stupid things, and Tav is not a captain in a million years. Last nights result doesn't get away from the fact we are a massive improvement on last year and it will only get better under SG.

06 Dec 2018 18:51:27
Biggest problem I feel with Morelos is he does not understand English. So he does not know what. Players are saying to calm him down.
Eighteen months and ant grasp basic phrases, poor.

06 Dec 2018 19:27:50
Spot on union jack!

06 Dec 2018 19:44:43
Union Jack

Your being very very harsh on Wallace who has been nothing but loyal to the club. I can understand Borisic keeping him out the team but not Flanagan or Halliday. Also surprised at the way some of the support have turned on Wallace. That’s people with short memories.

06 Dec 2018 20:18:15
@arthurd - short memories? Are you forgetting Wallace was earning £10,000 a week for playing in the 3rd division? Or that his girlfriend was pregnant at the time and didn't want to move South?
Loyalty is a 2 way street.

06 Dec 2018 20:19:37
ArthurD he is not fit enough to play in first team.

06 Dec 2018 20:29:39
Union Jack,

So now you are slating him for staying? Do you know his wife personally that she told you that? Absolutely incredible that you have turned on a guy who was loyal to the club when others left and are now using him staying as a stick to beat him with. As for his wage he was entitled to that and there were plenty of people bought by Ally that were on healthy contracts that contributed nothing Kevin Kyle for one.

06 Dec 2018 20:47:01
Jboy21,

According to Gerrard the only reason he isn’t playing is because he thinks he has better players in that position than Wallace.

06 Dec 2018 21:33:09
Arthur d when did u last watch him on a park. I saw him on Monday, a shadow of what he was.

07 Dec 2018 07:45:41
Union Jack. Best and most sensible post I have read on here in a long time. Well done pal.

07 Dec 2018 09:47:16
Jboy21

When was the last time you watched Flanagan at left back? He has been awful and I can’t imagine Wallace a natural left footed player would be worse.

07 Dec 2018 11:54:44
@arthurd - where have I slated him for staying? I’ve given you reasons why he stayed . And the girlfriend one came straight from Wallace’s mouth in an interview at the time.

I’m just counteracting you and others elevating him to club legend status. He was a good player for us and gave some fantastic performances at times. But I think you and others are forgetting he was out of form for a few months prior to his injury nightmare.

I’ll stick with Gerrard's decision to not play him and if you think Wallace would have made a difference against the Sheep then that’s your prerogative. 👍
P.S. next you’ll be wanting Miller back after his midweek hatrick! 😆.

07 Dec 2018 20:32:47
Bindo, in my opinion Wallace is no where near the fitness level of Flanagan, Flanagan should not be played lb either.

06 Dec 2018 15:36:01
How would we feel if we went for Louis Moult in January on a permanent deal as he's proved he can score regularly in the Spfl or do people think he not good enough quality wise that we're looking for?

07 Dec 2018 08:39:16
quite simply not good enough.

06 Dec 2018 15:30:29
It's fair enough to slate Morelos, but Stevie is as much to blame, he knows his problems and should have subbed him after his first yellow. Morelos looked a promising signing but it's now clear he is not capable of self control. Even Stevie now admits he is no longer backing him and sees him as what he is, a liability to the clubs progress. Before you all start to call me a tim again and say the goals Morelos scored has been great, ask yourselves, if he had scored all his missed sitters and had been severely disciplined, no doubt he would have been a legend for us.

06 Dec 2018 16:25:32
I can see your argument and have sympathy with it, however you just can't sub your best chance of getting a goal on the off chance he will get sent off. If we had been in front, then yes. That said, Stevie really has to go through him as he has let everybody down. I understand the need to maintain aggression etc but this retaliation and petulance will be his undoing and could cost us the title this year.

06 Dec 2018 18:56:42
Blue Billy see your point but if he gets booked in first minute would u sub him.
Morelos must learn.

06 Dec 2018 18:58:35
Your right seeker and no ifs an buts as UJ sarcasticly says, we sre still in it.

06 Dec 2018 19:48:27
He should be given the maximum fine possible by the club. Unfortunately it’s 1 step forward with him and 2 back as Instead of talking about his goals and match winning exploits, everyone is shaking their heads in utter disbelief at his lack of discipline. Is this kid ever going to learn?

06 Dec 2018 23:16:40
Agree maximum fines for indiscipline from now on and even more if there is greater punishments . the dissent just has to stop. Stevie kns and will sort. the players are just so buzzed up just now . probably none have ever been in such a rollercoaster before in front of 45 k.

07 Dec 2018 08:42:58
why is no one asking why he is getting all these yellows and reds? had never had a red card before joining us and his yellow card count was pretty low considering his style of play

surely there must be an underlying issue? where is the stupidity and petulance coming from? the burden of the jersey? the expectations of the club? the pressure of a young man being such a big clubs main man and having no break for almost 3 seasons?

im not a shrink but surely there has to be something.

06 Dec 2018 15:27:45
Another bad result and poor performance against a dire Sheep side.
We badly need an attacking midfielder who can also pick out a quality pass.

06 Dec 2018 23:17:15
Jordan Rossiter.

07 Dec 2018 08:43:57
jordon rossiter is a waste of a wage. sadly never going to be able to play regularly. cut the losses and get rid in january

shame as the kid had serious potential.

06 Dec 2018 15:22:32
A chance to prove we are champions elect. well I think after that performance No winners here, Champions would hammer home there advantage, it looks like Aberdeen have our number, block off the wing backs, and we are basically useless. Morelos! what was he doing the manager has to fine him at the very least, let his team mates down, not for the first time, he needs to learn it's a Team Game it's Not about him.
rant over. well done Kilmarnock.

06 Dec 2018 12:34:00
How bad does Tav have to be to get dropped?

06 Dec 2018 14:44:02
To be fair, the whole team were dire last night and remember Tav's deliveries into the box caused Hearts all sorts of problems at the weekend and led to the goals - he's been consistent up until last night.

06 Dec 2018 18:16:45
SirStruth

Have you been at any games this season?

Tav overhits 2 out of three crosses or dead balls -occasionally he gets one right. Its one thing to overconcentrate on the bad stuff but its just as bad to exaggerate the good stuff.

Last night he was a disgrace as a captain.

06 Dec 2018 18:33:22
Deeb I've been campaigning for tag to be relieved of set piece duties for a while, it has become beyond a joke.

06 Dec 2018 19:03:13
I believe Tav was made captain to increase his value in market. He demonstrates no qualities to be our captain. Ok he score a few penalties.
I've made my view of him clear, no better than a squad player.
Even last night he allows stupid foul, which leads to their goal. No effort to organise defence at any free kick, who do coulibally and ejaria actually mark at set pieces,
Captain for now should be mcgregor.

06 Dec 2018 20:32:20
Jboy21,

Let’s hope someone comes in for him in January so we can get a proper right back in and get a proper captain.

06 Dec 2018 11:28:10
Enough of the meltdowns. it was a poor result, they happen.

Think it highlights how much we need to find a creative midfielder similar to arfield as without him we aren't the same team. Ideally someone who can play wide or central or play as a 10.
Funnily enough a josh windass type player comes to mind. Not saying get windass I just mean someone who can play a similar role.

Must now bounce back and keep the pressure on, they will also drop more points before we play them at end of the month.

06 Dec 2018 11:13:04
Dont get me wrong I love Morelos, but he is becoming a liability in games. His petulance is a problem and can see him getting sold in January unless he does something special against Rapid and Celtic. You don't know what your going to get with him one game he is a world beater the next a huffy teen. I don't think SG or anyone knows how to fix him and if an offer in january is large enough I could see him being allowed to leave.
We know we don't have cover. Lafferty was starting to lose it aswell.
Am behind SG 100%. but the play last night was poor. go down the right tappy tappy passing between candias and tav then pass it back to jack. Ejaria turns his back to play as soon as he gets the ball. Coulibaly can't play in the same team as him. I though that game needed Rossiter. Up the left middleton was invisible. couldn't get past his man and again just kept passing back to midfield. I text my mate last night at about 70 minutes and said 'I have no idea what postition any of the players playing are supposed to be in'.
But onto the next game. Would like to see a youth player Andy Dallas get a game and if Barisic isn't fit swallow your pride or tell who ever is saying he can't play to do one and play Lee at LB. If lee is getting games for reserves then get him in first team. The past is the past. We need an Attacking LB now and we have a proven one at the club. Think of Lee and Kent or Middleton they would run riot.

06 Dec 2018 12:47:33
Agreed, apart from the "Past is the past" when talking about Wallace sorry but what has the man done apart from be an excellent servant to our club, he spent years with us in the lower leagues when he could have easily gotten game time else where with a club who at the time were in a better league and playing far better football. The treatment of Lee Wallace by both the club and fans honestly disgusts me.

06 Dec 2018 08:52:52
Anyone else hear Stevie G interview on Rangers TV after the game? Very honest and frank - says it's time for the players to start showing respect to the club regarding their discipline and he said every player looked him in the eye and said they knew their individual tasks last night and too a man not one of them followed the plan. 6 points a must next 2 games. Best thing to happen last night was Motherwell equalising.

06 Dec 2018 08:11:36
SG must sort out this appalling disciplinary record which is costing us points. We can't win every game so hopefully we'll be back on track after Sunday but with Dundee winning 4-0 that could be tricky. We need Barisic and Kent back and also give Rossiter a run. Morelos is banned for Sunday so at least he won't get another red card. It worries me that Lafferty is our only back-up for striker.

06 Dec 2018 07:17:21
Can anyone tell me when morelos is banned for is it Dundee and then Hamilton for last nyts card and is arfeild back for Dundee?

06 Dec 2018 08:37:29
Morelos suspended for Dundee and hamilton, arfield is suspended for Dundee aswell. 2mathc ban.

06 Dec 2018 12:42:33
Cheers, was hoping arfeild was back thought we missed his energy and directness last nyt.

06 Dec 2018 06:29:42
Thought that was a terrible performance, no leaders out there at all. don't know why we start Flannigan against a defensive team as he offers nothing going forward with no left foot then you use a sub for him. Morelos gets plaudits on here but his first touch and hold up last night was rank. I like Ryan jack for what he can do but he's not got a creative bone in his body only guy to make runs was grezda but that would have been a risky pass for jack to attempt. Too many hiding!

06 Dec 2018 08:38:15
spot on mate, too many empty jerseys last night.

06 Dec 2018 10:33:28
The result and performance were bad last night no doubt about it. Morelos isn't terrible striker but neither is he a great striker. These loan players? Well I think there's a reason why they're available for loan. I've been pleased with the overall improvement under Gerrard but we're a good bit away from being where we should be.

06 Dec 2018 05:41:32
Need to keep perspective after that shocker last night. Next 2 matches 6 pts, then into the Christmas period. Rapid Vienna could go either way. After the international break I thought we needed 24 pts from the 9 fixtures leading into the winter break, tall order now but still doable, maybe settle for 22 but beating Celtic is now crucial and reinforcements required in January.

06 Dec 2018 05:31:33
Here's an idea. As soon as Morelos gets a yellow card he's subbed. We"ll win nothing with these consistent reds.

06 Dec 2018 12:37:31
Only thing does reliably is miss sitters
A decent forward who stayed on the park would be on 30 goals already.

06 Dec 2018 14:09:18
Really and as he is the top scorer in Scotland at the moment then who would this decent forward be then. not someone we could afford for sure.
