just read the McCoist report on the official page, what game was he at??
A confidence boost??
Aye and I'm George Clooney!!
And a question too - why do we never see photos including Durrant > Is he really just a cardboard cut out?

We're really ruing a missed opportunity to re-establish the club on sound footing on and off the park & it's coming home to roost. Too much money invested in too many poor players, too many people (whom need to introduction) solely focused on milking the club for all it's worth and the reward for fans putting hard earned money into the club hand over fist - rank rotten, tactically inept football and a club haemorrhaging money!

I sincerely hope things turn around as we deserve much better but it's difficult to see how unless there are wholesale changes starting with ownership of the club which I appreciate is easier said than done!

question Ed or punters -
which players contracts are up this summer?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - for which team? Best thing is to use the advanced search on transfermarkt, it is not perfect but it will give you an idea of who is coming out of contract in the summer. You can set the search filter just to look for those players.}

Hopefully all of them.

{Ed001's Note - ah ok, just set up the search filters on www.transfermarkt.co.uk mate, it will tell you on there.}

Wee bill, from what I can gather the following are contracted to the end of the season:- Simonsen, McCulloch, Moshni, Smith, McGregor, Foster, Faure, Black, Hutton, Miller, Boyd and Daly are the main ones.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would only keep McGregor and maybe Faure from that lot and bring back the 8 young lads out on loan. Surely that would save us upwards of 3m on wages. Second point, now I understand how we keep getting it wrong with money etc. If there were 28000 at the game today, at least half must have been hiding up the tunnel, methinks a chimp is doing the maths and the book keeping too

Billyb, how many of the players on your list would you give another contract mate for me mc gregor would be the only shoe in, if we were promoted we would need a whole new first team, if we stay in the championship think we should ditch these high paid failures bring back our loanies and have a go under the guidance of a manager who could best utilise a team that should be more than capable of waltzing that league.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes Soton bear I would keep McGregor and pair him with Gasparrato or Zaliukas[ if he can keep fit. ]
Before then I would listen to offers for the whole squad on a loan or sale basis. Obviously, there are certain players I would prefer to keep, but would listen to all offers. [ even 50% of wages, in some cases. ]
My priority, however, would be to shift the management team and, if legal, would put them on their one year's notice to-morrow.
Even if we tread water this season we must start the process that should have commenced two and a half years ago. No matter what happens it is essential that a new management team is in place by June 2015.

ally needs to get a grip like and drop jig as is lost in defence and foster because has no attacking or defending quality and is our weak link and get boyd out the team and bring in clark the boys hungry for goals

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ally does indeed need to get a grip, fill it with all his belongings and walk away from IIBROX.

Agree0 Disagree0

The question is will Clark ever be given his chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont see why he always brings daly on he can't run doesn't track back and only gives clark 5 mins at the end boy just doesn't have a scooby

Agree0 Disagree0

Op when the defence venture forward there problem is getting back into on time as we seen against hibs

if Zaliukas is fit again, why is he not at least on the bench, also why is Sheils preferred to Templeton??

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Didn't know big zal was fit again as for templeton there is strong rumours about troubles off the pitch which may contribute to his lack of appearances

I feel for you Gkk, it's tough for all bears, Ijust hope that people like the easdales and Mccoist etc read these pages and see what hurt they are causing to the the people who matter most, but I doubt they do and I doubt even more that they'd care. One day mate we will get our club back, a club we can all be proud of again. watp

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cheers for the posts boys, be hard but for the best.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gkk: Can't someone take your wee grandson to the games? seems a shame for him to miss out.

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 : The whole lot is a shame pal, but the decision has been made. I knew I would somebody tugging at the heart strings. Its a family decision, that's it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully gkk one day your grandkids will thanks you for your decision as they will have a team they can actually support in the future.

Ok this may seem far fetched right now, but the Alloa players rightly say there is nothing to fear from us at the moment, well let's hope come the 10th of Jan we give them lots to fear.

@5 johncs

Shut up! What nonsense, remove your head from the sand.

Made the decision last night and told the 2 grandkids there will be no more football for a while, very very hard thing to do, a sore one. The older one understands, the wee man just wants to watch Rangers. I think for a while I've been using not hurting their feelings as an exuse for going to games, which I think anyone would understand. I have the full backing of my son and their ma. Enough is enough I've enjoyed the Gers for 51 years but at this rate they won't have a Rangers to take their boys to watch when they grow up. Gutted but that's it.

Sorry to hear that but understandable under these dire circumstances. I hope you and your grandchildren have a good chrimbo and the new year brings better joy for us fans and the Gers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Correct decision, no doubt you'll have the usual suspects referring to how you've ruied the club however they are the people killing our once great club. I hope you stand by the decision as we much enforce change at all levels of the club

Gkk) absolutely gutted for you and the grandchildren mate its a heart wrenching decision and one no fan should ever be forced to take, dread to think what the crowd will be this afternoon , God willing something will give for the good and we can all get back to packing out our spiritual home, all the best to you mate. I feel sorry for the people who can't see that boycotts only contribute to the financial collapse as fans we've had 3 years to do something ( hearts had less time ), save money, buy shares etc no not us let's hurt the club we love more by staying away then we will have admin 2 and someone like Dave king will come in and pick the club up for peanuts that's our motto never mind the shame & embarrassment if the fans had followed hearts route then they could've even changed management the way they did tut tut but as usual we sit and wait a hero coming in to save us, best supporters aye right!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I understand what you are saying, but what if you are spending all your money on going to the games, so can't afford to save to buy shares etc? Most people have to scrimp and save to go to the games, so to accuse them of not doing anything is just showing a lack of understanding and is complete ignorance.

But, and here is the big but coming, on the other hand, those that have chosen to stay away should have got together as a proper organisation to save the money they are no longer spending on going to the games, with the aim of buying up shares in the club with it.

Hearts have shown the way forward for Scottish football. Oh and you have to rid the club of leeches like McCoist to have any chance of a future. That may sound harsh, but any man who knows the team he professes to support has financial problems requiring them to borrow money repeatedly and still takes a massive salary he is rich enough not to need, plus continues to look to spend money, well he is nothing but a leech. You can love him as a player without needing to back him as a manager.}

06 Dec 2014 09:18:26
That's rough for you and your family, i'd be gutted if roles were reversed. You'll get your club back one day , not for a while and battered and bruised , but I hope you do. Hail hail joe

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally said he will not go until it affects his family, well if he thinks I got home from the Alloa game ( any of them ) and showered my family with love and five pound notes he's quite wrong!

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2014 10:45:37
@ Ed that was suppose to be the idea when boycotts. were first suggested, to put the money you would spend going to the game into a savings account, and I do understand people being fed up with performance and if you forget the board for a sec if you go to the game and don't like performance, results at least your there and u can boo sing ally get to **** and it gets highlighted in the press as it did after hearts game & Alloa game and then they take notice as was reported this week that's how we did it in the old days.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - but there is more to it than just Ally mate, there is the issue of where the money is going and fattening the wallets of the wrong type of people to consider too.}

06 Dec 2014 12:01:02
rf u say about the fans contributing to club going towards admin but the truth is the club should go no where near admin again as there is alternative funding out there the board are to blame for this mess and if the chose to put club in admin then they are to blame because finance is available

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2014 12:48:52
Craig I did say forget the board for a sec, I have also said this board pay its self to much but again we have had 3 year to do something about it & still believe the only way is to buy them out, as long as ashley props them up with loans they won't budge & who knows what ashleys end game is hopefully its good for us because if we don't pay loans he will own every asset we have.
