RFC will pay their staff 100% of their wages. Well done. Stevie GS worth 50million so I don't think he'll be hurtin for cash any time soon. Celtic won't be handed the title. They'll just have to wait a bit longer. The games will be played. 2 months more. Keep strong๐Ÿ’ช.

06 Apr 2020 22:24:59
The other lot will turn this into us going bust. Matter of time before they surface!

06 Apr 2020 22:37:52
eh no they won't on 50% young players and non est staff on furlough.

07 Apr 2020 05:31:26
The folk on furlough will get 80% of they're wages paid for by the government with the club paying the rest. Meaning that yes that the staff will get fully paid.

07 Apr 2020 08:16:43
What was refreshing was that it was all sorted behind closed doors and not played out in the media like the Jambos. ๐Ÿ‘
Hats to the boardroom, management and senior staff for having the best interest of the club at heart ๐Ÿ‘.

07 Apr 2020 09:11:29
Its wishful thinking by that other lot thinking/ hoping the famous will go bust! As far as i'm concerned its falling on deaf years, because there's absolutely NO chance of glasgow rangers going bust! But if it gives their wee pea brain a treat in believing we will, let them enjoy that inside their wee bubble!
Don't want to spoil their fun but a resounding NO chance that we will go bust. They better start seriously worrying about their own club, as serious things and they all know what, are coming their way!

07 Apr 2020 10:24:08
mmmmmmmmmm look at the finances coming in for god sake, stop being blinded by your blue tinted glasses, their is every chance that we could be in trouble, it needs to be dealt with now, hence deferring wages until season ticket money is brought in, we need moniey in as does all clubs, some more than others, and our own accounts told it straight we needed millions to see us until end of season plus the ongoing funds that were coming in, a blind man could see no funds are coming in and no millions have been put in by the board, ,

07 Apr 2020 10:40:52
Anytime you make a prediction coop it gives me the fear. Sounds to me the last time you predicted anything right was when you bet Barry Ferguson to be MOTM in the 2002 Scottish cup final.

07 Apr 2020 10:48:34
In the current situation no one can say any club is safe SGL. This wage deferral is just another debt we will have to burden further down the line. If we miss paying their full wages back in 3 months time we have broken their contracts and in theory they could walk or sue for breach of contract.

07 Apr 2020 11:28:03
That's it IOM, stay positive ๐Ÿ‘.

07 Apr 2020 11:40:57
And here we go lol.

07 Apr 2020 13:14:49
Were doomed super with another bold prediction. We have had future england manager now with QPR we have had a epl bound centre forward now with Wigan we have had nike, new balance, adidas, under armour, now with nobody. We have had the ryan kent league cup final which we lost.

07 Apr 2020 13:34:45
As if any one of our players or coaching staff would think fir a second to walk or sue the club ( even if a deferral means they get weighed in later of which itโ€™s not clear it does) I would bet my season tic that they would never do that . Negatives being thrown into play as per
Just hope we all stay safe . including Boris . hang in there big man we are behind you ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜ท.

07 Apr 2020 13:31:49
Isle of mull1, if, is the smallest word, with the biggest meaning.

07 Apr 2020 13:43:42
I.o.m. how do you get access to our players contracts
My info is we get europa league group stage money in June.

07 Apr 2020 14:13:21
Fauldhouse not sure if your post is sarcasm or a negative contribution. ๐Ÿค”. At one point in the year, we all believed. even the biggest of the doubters. The wheels fell off . which happens . even to the most experienced of coaches teams and back room staff. We proved we can do it
God willing we can get the chance to do it again get back there.

07 Apr 2020 14:34:30
Fauldhoose bear is a galloot Molsgoals, who keeps a very keen rather creepy interest in me!

07 Apr 2020 14:46:12
Molsgoals I would say sarcasm ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บโšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘.

07 Apr 2020 14:57:35
I see rangers players and management have actually offered to defer wages to 2021.

07 Apr 2020 15:45:28
Oh well sgl . I suppose it takes all sorts . I mean look at the eastend for example ๐Ÿ˜‚.

07 Apr 2020 19:58:45
Donโ€™t forget Morelos scoring against that mob fauldhouse.

07 Apr 2020 21:17:55
John25, yip mate seen that myself, was quite surprised nobody mentioned it before you, i was about to do so,i'dimagine the media will hush it up .

06 Apr 2020 21:34:33
Well done to the players and management ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‘.

07 Apr 2020 10:25:11
why? well done. theyhave deferred wages, which means they want them in full in 3 months>whats good would have seen them taking half, at least.

07 Apr 2020 10:41:57
Well said coldo ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป.

06 Apr 2020 17:35:23
glasgow live website just posted 10 football players who have donated money to people affected by cvirus.

it includes morelos of course,

not one celtic player, and celtic were set up as a charity!

amazing

wdw.

06 Apr 2020 20:48:39
i think scott brown gave a grand to the nhs.

06 Apr 2020 16:24:45
Remember when you used too see 2 dugs at in the streets you never see that now I used to call it after a snooker player Doug mountjoy.

06 Apr 2020 14:48:47
Barry ferguson was a joy to watch in that 2002 scottish cup final against celtic, which was shown on BBC Scotland last night! He dominated that midfield and was easily the best player on the park.
You forget sometimes who good a midfielder baz was, as well as being a terrific captain! Baz could have played for any club in britain imo,
when he was in his prime! In fact there was interest in him from both liverpool and newcastle utd before he left rangers the first time for blackburn rovers, for nearly ยฃ8million. Baz did say himself in later years, that he only signed for blackburn rovers because graeme souness was the manager there. He should and could have went to liverpool or newcastle, which undoubtedly was a better move for him, than blackburn rovers, no disrespect to blackburn intended,
but it was the wrong move for him, I think anyway. I wish ferguson was playing for us, in our midfield just now. He was a superb midfielder in his pomp! Always found space and dominated opposition midfielders!
The best scottish midfielder of his era, bar none! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘.

06 Apr 2020 17:14:23
I agree mate, Barry Ferguson was my favourite player of that era.
He was a gers youth product and he was scottish. Fingers crossed that we can produce some young scottish players like him in the near future.

07 Apr 2020 00:15:37
Baez was brilliant! I remember watching him breaking into the team and I canโ€™t remember the game but laudrup back heeled the ball between two opposition players and Barry smacked it over the bar, would have been goal of the season ๐Ÿคฃ
What about big Amo, abbot liable to the odd mistake but I loved that big guys attitude. Got stripped of the armband and still came out and gave his all.

06 Apr 2020 22:41:07
I coached him as a kid. He is the best Rangers player of the 21st century.

07 Apr 2020 09:14:42
He is covenanter! Here's a wee question for you covenanter. As you coached barry ferguson, do you rate him a better midfielder than his brother derek and his other idol ian durrant?

06 Apr 2020 11:55:44
On to other matters for those who want a serious debate. As is evidenced by the big leagues in Europe desperately trying to find a way to complete their seasons. Do you really think for a minute that Sky and BT are going to shell out for a "null and void" season? What exactly are they paying for with no winner, isn't that the whole point?

Now forgetting the only 30 games played, in fact, if you answer, forget the whole playing side of it, the question is do you expect both broadcasters to pony up for a season with no conclusion that is deemed null and void and have you got a precedent for this that involves big/ decent money?

I'm presuming the reason the powers that be in Scottish football are considering an early conclusion (one I don't want myself) is because it means they could then award all clubs their prize money based on current standings, it is not ideal, in some cases unfair where there is a point or so in it and promotion, relegation, or indeed champions are impacted but right now I'm guessing 42 clubs in Scotland are feeling the pinch to a greater or lesser degree and therefore they need that prize money. They get nowt if the season is null and void, that is only common sense.

Now I appreciate the average Rangers fan has the fiscal concerns and responsibility of a colony of frogs, in other words you reflect your own board, but surely some of you must appreciate null and void hurts Rangers more than 40 other teams in Scotland in monetary terms? Last season second place paid ยฃ2.4m and right now I think that would come in pretty handy, no?

06 Apr 2020 12:17:05
Your desperation shines clear gazo, what will be will be. Colony of frogs dear oh dear look inwards mate c%lt*cs solution is "award us the title and relegate Hearts", a lot of thought went into that Eh? And don't worry about us, we'll be fine.

06 Apr 2020 12:33:34
Gazo, why haven't you posted a single coment on the Celtic pages? Not one. Are you another one who creates profiles to come on here and talk about Rangers?

06 Apr 2020 13:39:25
Good God, starts of with the serious debate comment and then rambles into the usual single fish we expect from the Tim's!
No mention of your OWN club being the first to accept the Tory Furlough but giving it the big I am with huge donations to the NHS and local community projects but you can't even pay your own staff?
And if we take the early tainted unearned title award to Celtic then no more games will also be played. So exactly what are BT and Sky also paying for?
We all realise you don't get the chance to debate on your own site because you've all got a love fest lock-in going on down the imaginary pub but you must try a lot harder than that! ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคก.

06 Apr 2020 14:27:32
Gazo get a grip man. Even if the season was to be declared null and void then BT and SKY would surely still have to pay the SPFL for the games they have shown up until now as millions of subscribers have already shelled out,
Do you really think that BT and SKY should not pay for the games already shown?

06 Apr 2020 17:50:36
oh dear oh dear what a desperate attempt covering up cfc's employees inevitably giving the title to them. sheer sad desperation to avoid the taint.

06 Apr 2020 18:04:44
C_of_Ibrox I've been in this site most likely longer than you have, check my profile.

MrTupacman under the current circumstances, the endless speculation and most definitely in the week King moves off the board do you really think Rangers mentioning any requirements of cash would be a topic for discussion? Think out of the box, it doesn't matter how much Rangers are or aren't hurting, that was NEVER getting mentioned before other clubs did so. Also bear in mind with Celtic actually being on the stock market we are duty bound to inform shareholders of such potential things, Rangers despite many promises to do so still are not on any stock market and therefore do not need to. Bet you didn't think of it in those terms eh?

Jetmayfair this "surely" you talk of comes with what certainty? I'm guessing just a big bag of wishful thinking and not a hint of legal confidence. This is why the big leagues are so desperate to get their season completed for failure to complete it will lead to massive loss of TV income, ยฃ762m repaid back in England alone, our's is relative but would still impact all clubs in Scotland. It doesn't matter what I think BT/ Sky should do, the question is have we (SPL) fulfilled their side of the contract, the answer is no.

The floor is open, tell me how you get the TV money that hopefully sees all Scottish clubs make up for their shortfall while declaring the season null and void? Bear in mind we know English clubs are having the very same issues with the very same broadcasters.

06 Apr 2020 18:09:45
Hi Gazo I'm a Rangers fan, right now I could care less where the league title goes, we blew it ourselves after the break, with things as they are and personal crap it's irrelevant. If you want to celebrate being gifted the title by anyone bar us good luck to you.

06 Apr 2020 19:14:02
Wow hats off to you mate. Your obsession stretches back a fair bit.

06 Apr 2020 22:35:48
Gazo the ยฃ35m you were bragging that Celtic have in the bank wonโ€™t even touch the sides when the fees come calling.

06 Apr 2020 06:34:47
Coronavirus is like your mum when you were a wean:

"No you're not going out"

"Get up the shops for bread and milk and straight home"

"See if you go out, keep away from wee johnny, he's boggin"

"Wash your hands, you just had your finger up that dog's backside"

๐Ÿ™„ that last 1 just me then ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคฃ.

06 Apr 2020 12:24:22

S.g.l. Did the edd not post up that coldo was using a name that sounded like herewego55, i thought that meant that was coldos new handle. maybe i picked it up wrong mate.

{Ed033's Note - i don't know whether coldo is posting as another username or not.

07 Apr 2020 13:32:52

{Ed033's Note - Correct, but i don't know whether coldo is posting as another username or not.

06 Apr 2020 11:09:19
I see Liverpool are taking a bit of a kicking in the media today as they've said they'll be using Furlough to pay their non playing staff and Man City have stated they won't be using the Furlough scheme i think its a disgrace that these billionaire Premiership clubs are using the scheme which was designed to keep small businesses and the like afloat and keep people in jobs and these clubs are using the scheme for non playing staff when their still paying their players astronomical wages these players really need to take a good look at themselves and I hope we find a way to pay non playing staff from out own coffers but then matey this will change the way a lot of fans view players in the future when a lot of them have shown themselves up to be nothing more that greedy b******s the player need to remember its the fans who buy merchandise and tickets etc that keep them in a job that are probably going to hit really hard times.

06 Apr 2020 09:30:05
Things must be bad when we get told in the media Morelos will be off in the summer for about ten million.

06 Apr 2020 11:35:35
Bluebilly
If media to be believed there is a four way fight in EPL alone foreign interest not withstanding which would suggest surpassing 10m.

06 Apr 2020 11:39:49
I posted on here during the january transfer window, that the unprofessional attitude with alfredo morelos was due to a supposedly broken promise by the ibrox board,
that he would be sold if a suitable bid came in for him in january. I had heard a big bid did come in from spanish club atletico madrid in january, with gerrard almost immediately telling the board not to now sell morelos at any price unless absolutely crazy money, in january.
What i heard was gerrard told the board if they went ahead and sold morelos, they would be selling any chance they had of winning the league title! The board went with the manager on this and morelos and his agent were left absolutely fuming!
The fee i got told that atletico madrid had offered was ยฃ22million which would eventually rise to ยฃ25million. The spanish club were also letting rangers have young riquelme on a season long loan deal, as part of the morelos deal. I was also told that sevilla wanted morelos in january, but would have been prepared to wait until the end of the season to get him. Their bid was however lower than atletico's and were told they would have to up their bid by at least another ยฃ5million. One of my big geordie mates who's followed newcastle utd everywhere for many years now also told me that he had it in good authority the steve bruce wanted morelos also in january, but wanted to do a swap deal with dwight gayle plus ยฃ3million, which rangers rejected right away! Only sharing/ passing on what i was told guys. ๐Ÿค”.

06 Apr 2020 12:00:01
Riquelme deal is up in the summer so he couldn't be offered to us 'in a year long loan'

06 Apr 2020 14:32:13
I assume then riquelme may have been signing a new deal with atletico then pal, because only passing on what i was told and that was a season long loan deal!

06 Apr 2020 15:20:43
You sure get told a lot of stuff Warbs the 15th? Is your source real and assuming it is do they just guess? I know you were first to break the MOH exclusive but itโ€™s been slim pickings since. Still havenโ€™t got my Under Armour top either ๐Ÿ™„.

06 Apr 2020 16:34:57
Gee it a rest ibrox4Me! Take a day aff pal, honestly! It puts you off sharing anything on here, so it does!

06 Apr 2020 18:02:15
Iom athletics site shows he signed four year deal 2019 in the July.

06 Apr 2020 06:46:24
Watched the game last night. that team we had back then wouldve been miles away in this league. i was only 19 back then n i remember overhearing the day before that game my dad telling mum (rip) he's got 2 tickets for it n no to tell craig (thats me) so here me all day on cloud 9 thinkin i'm going to the game the next day. Woke up next mornin . still never opened my mouth . neither did my dad or mum. Then that wee banger of a brother of mine stoats in with his rangers top on "dad wit time we leavin at". turns out don't tell craig meant he's not givin me that ticket. ragin.

Favourite all time old firm goal guys? Mine was the bert konterman screamer at hampden. I was sitting on the top tier at that game and will always remember him scoring that goal and the gers fans were bouncing that much the top tier was shaking. Great atmosphere.

06 Apr 2020 10:30:21
Remember watching the ball roll to him and thinking "don't have a pop" due to his bombscare reputation. How happy I was to be wrong!

06 Apr 2020 11:25:21
Best thing about it was the jungle Jimโ€™s were all cheering when his name got called over the tannoy to say he was playing. Oops.

06 Apr 2020 11:33:16
Rangers were miles away in the league that season also because they finished 18 points behind Celtic.
