We should all reserve judgement on Cummings until he gets a fair run out. Murty has been really unfair on him playing 10 mins at the end and not using him for what he is. He's purely a striker, not a hold up guy.
I hope he can start pinging them into the back of the net.

06 Apr 2018 22:23:12
Graeme murty is trying to impress the rangers directors, to get the rangers manager's job, on a permanent basis, beyond this season! So murty is going to set out his team to play in a system that he believes and wants them to play in! Thus why murty doesn't start cummings often as cummings can't play the 1 striker through the middle role, whereas morelos can! Murty has to do what he believes will get him the permanent job! He totally believes in the 4-2-3-1 system! We can't expect him to do it someone else's way, it has to be his own way, for which he'll be judged, at the end of the season! That's the way any manager would work it, ie. there way!

06 Apr 2018 22:39:22
You are indeed right, he should do it his way. but you have more chance if getting the managers job next season. The decision has already been made. No idea who the next manager will be tho.

06 Apr 2018 22:40:08
Surely Murty won’t get the job. He is clearly well short of what’s required and needs to go back to the u20s. We need experience not a rookie with no managerial experience

06 Apr 2018 23:30:11
Can't understand the need for Cummings tbh. If we had team like the 90s he would be devastating up front. WE DONT!
We can't afford the luxury of a penalty box striker, we are not that good YET!
We need a workhorse i. e. Morelos to create space make the opposing defence work hard and bring others into the game. Cummings doesn't and cannot do that.

07 Apr 2018 00:44:05
If Cummings doesn't fit into the system Murty wants the team to play, why bring him to the club?

07 Apr 2018 05:49:59
If murty is trying to impress the directors or anyone else, he's not doing a very good job. The job is too big for him.

07 Apr 2018 08:53:38
Dutch, you say you know the decision has been made already, that graeme murty isn't getting the manager's job, but you don't have any idea who's getting the job? I would have thought if you knew one half of the managerial situation then you would know the other half! My honest assessment on the rangers manager's job is, don't rule graeme murty out mate!

07 Apr 2018 10:53:37
I like Cummings but he has been more than a tad overhyped. Would like to see Dodoo on bench today and get a run. No idea what Herriera brings to the playing squad.

07 Apr 2018 11:50:32
Really don't get why we would bring Cummings in if he's not the type of player that guy Murty wants.

07 Apr 2018 12:22:43
Someone said Murty 12 month rolling. That's what I think will happen. Still need clear out for Murty to have his squad. Looking forward to see who we get in summer.

07 Apr 2018 12:56:46
If that happens we are in trouble. Murty has to leave imminently imo. Not up to the job.
He was given an opportunity to prove himself and failed his chance.

I agree Cummings can play the loan striker tool he isn’t strong enough I think Morelos has been chastised for the miss against Celtic but his overall play is better than any other striker at the club

All this talk of potential investment from canada on here and I've seen some names mentioned. Mckay and a guy called Walker done a bit digging David McKay is president and CEO of the royal bank of canada and Donald Walker is CEO of magna international a motor company. Walker took home £24m and McKay £11m last year both very astute buisnessmen. If and its a big IF these 2 have anything to do with a consortium of investors could be exciting times ahead.

06 Apr 2018 21:41:42
If he's a very astute business man then he's not investing in Rangers.

06 Apr 2018 22:17:03
I don't know if these rumours of investment are true i'm only going by what I've seen on these pages and i don't know who it was who quoted these names it could be totally different guys named Mckay or Walker🤔 but we can always hope someone somewhere with a big fat 💰 is ready to invest.

06 Apr 2018 23:43:46
Ive not heard of any investment. Rangers are a great institution with a massive support and fan base. Just look what Anne Budge has done at Hearts, she has stabilised her club and built a new stand. I believe King has took Rangers as far as he can take us and i applaud him. I also believe he is willing to sell to let others take our club to the next level. In the right hands our club can be profitable and prosperous.

07 Apr 2018 13:28:18
I think those two are Celtic supporters, they have season tickets to park head.

06 Apr 2018 14:38:56
Just posting this to get people's opinions does anyone think we would still be challenging for the title or at least sitting comfy in 2nd if we'd still had Boyd on our books as he seems to have found his scoring boots again this season and he always seemed to be able to stick the ball in the net wagainst SPL teams when we needed a goal and these goals would probably have got us most of the points we've dropped this season .

06 Apr 2018 16:01:39
I actually think Lafferty would have been the one better suited to our style of play this year. I have said it to fellow bears for last 6months or so that Lafferty would be on 20-30 goals by now if we had him in the team rather than Morelos.

06 Apr 2018 16:15:27
Boyd was woeful in his second spell with us. Why can't some fans actually look forward rather than harking back to supposedly better times? These guys had their chances, time to unearth new talent.

06 Apr 2018 16:30:18
scoring goals hasn't been the problem pretty sure we are the countries leading scorers all be it by one goal it has been our defense that has been the issue

06 Apr 2018 17:15:32
Cuillin72, You can hardly blame Boyd for not playing well in that Gers team the second time around! I agree he missed a right few chances but McCoist had created one of the worst sides ever seen that year! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

06 Apr 2018 18:18:51
Yately, McCoist had no budget to speak of, he had a youth selection of very limited talent and he was playing week in, week out against opponents playing as if their lives depended upon it and referees who let shocking tackles go. Let's keep things in perspective and understand he had his back to the wall in almost every way you can define it.

06 Apr 2018 18:42:27
Got to agree with bazzabear, big lafferty would have done us a turn. better option as a freebie than paying for herrera

06 Apr 2018 20:52:22
Guys our defence is the problem. Hearts, Aberdeen, Hibs, Celtic and Kilmarnock all have better defensive record.

06 Apr 2018 22:43:00
Kfraser

Are you on the wind up? Didn’t have a budget to speak of? Do you ever visit the planet earth? Even in Div 3 he had the 2nd biggest budget in Scotland. To try and defend his managerial time with the club and make excuses for him is embarrassing. You so removed from reality it’s frightening

06 Apr 2018 23:52:20
Its totally irrelevant. Would Boyd score would someone else score? Grow up. It is what it is. Rangers will struggle to finish second. So Boyd would have won the league? Don't think so
