Guys, regards Barisic, is he a single guy or married or with a partner, because if he has a partner who isn't with him, that could unsettle him, just a thought folks. I agree, he's the best left back we have, as I said in another post, you don't play with Croatia if you're not a good player, also, if you remember, katic had to bulk up in the gym when he wasn't get a start and just look at the difference in him, just some points to consider.

He was never going to be good enough. His family are friends with my family so I was really rooting for him but he’s just not at the level sadly. He’s another Halliday, decent squad player and you would maybe keep him around as he’s a bluenose and probably a good influence in the dressing room, but he’s never going to be a first choice.

I really think Docherty is a very good player, and my feeling is that he's what, 19 years old?, so plenty of time for him to make it, he needs more game time, but at a higher level than League 1 in England.

Like yourself irvger, i do also think greg docherty is a good midfielder,
who will only get better. Who better to learn from and train with everyday than steven davis! I honestly do visualise greg docherty becoming a first team regular for us, in the future. I think we should keep him and tell him to bide his time. I may be wrong on this but i stand to be corrected, as i think doch has a future with rangers!

John25 we've 4 recognised forwards in our squad initially I'd have dropped Zak Rudden then for final squad on current form Ojo all depends on the recovery of Jones so I kinda get not taking chance on him just feel Jones if fit seems to offer more than Ojo.

I read Flanagan is out for a while with a hernia problem. Croatia are ranked 7th in the world by FIFA. Surely if Barisic is good enough for them he's good enough for us. Katic has adapted to Scottish football. Why not Barisic? Gerrard needs to give him a run of games. Halliday's not the answer to left back. Can you imagine him making the Croation team? Something's not adding up.

I think most of us on here all rate barisic as a talented full back, but for some reason it just hasn't happened for him in scottish football yet! It could be a number of things, like expectation of our club,
the style of scottish football, the pressure of playing for a club our size etc.

BB last outing where he was took off due to concussion he was arguably one of our best players b4 being removed. The game b4 he scored the winner with his free kick and was again one of our better players.
He just needs a run in the team.

If a player is lacking in confidence that’s a coaching issues. It’s for the coaching team to build the boy up so he’s confident enough to go out and express himself. He’s playing the safe pass just now rather than going at his man and putting in those quality crosses, he needs to be encourage to take risks in the final third.

We have all had time to reflect on that debacle on Sunday afternoon and to be honest I am glad for the international break. We have to regroup and with adding Kent it makes us stronger. We will never play as bad again and that was by far the worst we have played under Mr Gerrard! Don't no what he was thinking with the line up and a blind man could see after 10 minutes we were going to lose that match! Anyway upwards and onwards boys ✌️🇬🇧.

Coldo, the problem I think is that we are still in Europe and while that is great, it is the reason that Gerrard tries to freshen up the team, alternating between European games and domestic games. Maybe it would have been better this season not to have qualified for the Europa League! We have Livingston, St Johnstone and Aberdeen (home) in the next three league games this month. Let's get 9 points and see where we are.

Freshen up the team is fine doiger, but he changed the formation, system and tactics when there was no need. We all know that we should have set up to go at them but he set up to frustrate them and played in to their hands. Why? 👍.

Why freshen up the team when he knew there was an international break after the game? Not picking Morelos was an awful decision and not playing wingers against 2 full backs that had been struggling defies belief. He had 4 central midfielders in the starting line up and pushed Aribo out wide to accommodate them.
