I'm sorry but is it just me that thinks charging £55 for a third top we will wear for less than a season is a bit steep? And the home top is same price when they were selling it for a score back in July/ August. Am all for getting behind my team and supporting them financially but surely someone at the club must have some common sense and not try and play on our loyalty that we have shown over the years. Is this Puma or SD pricing it so their cut in the deal is still worth while?

05 Oct 2017 18:01:52
A football top should cost no more than £40.

05 Oct 2017 18:54:41
I'm just delighted the sports direct deal is nearly done

05 Oct 2017 20:39:46
Correct delboy1979,ditch sports direct and puma at the end of this season, get a deal with a new retail partner and get either adidas, nike or under armour as our new kit manufacturers, sorted!

05 Oct 2017 21:14:02
Damn right delboy👍

05 Oct 2017 22:46:20
Call me cynical but i suspect the terms of the retail deal haven't changed. Always struggled to swallow the narrative that a guy as greedy and financially motivated as ashley agreed to walk away from a deal so heavily weighed in his favour. Before everyone says that he wasn't benefiting because of the boycott, he was! The terms of the retail deal stated that the club had to buy all unsold stock at retail price.

When Ashley invoiced the club for the millions in unsold stock and king realised we couldn't pay, i believe they came to a mutually beneficial arrangement. King agreed to get the supporters buying the merchandise on the basis that ashley sold his shareholding. This would allow king to pass the motion for a new share issue to finance the summer spending.

Totally agree with what you're saying wilson0212. I think I'm right in saying the AGM is fast approaching so I'm looking forward to what comes out of that. Overall I think it's a nice top and I'll no doubt buy it just sceptical as to where the money is still going still. Hope the board stick by Pedro he's spent too much to abandon the idea already. Although I woulda liked to have saw Moult and Walker rather than the two Mexicans. Can see us missing out on Moult to a championship side if he keeps going the way he is.

06 Oct 2017 07:39:10
If that was the case it would have come out by now! Someone would have leaked the details

06 Oct 2017 10:41:42
Don't think Kenny Miller would have got access to that info Jason! :-)

06 Oct 2017 10:45:51
@gm90 - Rangers won’t have an option on setting the price. Plus no one is forcing you to buy.

06 Oct 2017 10:57:55
You think Moult might finish up in the English second division but he's a player that can take us up a level? Oh dear.

06 Oct 2017 11:03:15
@wilson - would someone as ruthless and financially motivated as Ashley not keep his shares and demanded the retail money due?
He got sent back South with his tail between his legs.

06 Oct 2017 12:41:02
@bigsam I think Moult would undoubtedly strengthen our attack with Morelos playing off him. But yes, I do think he might end up in the English CHAMPIONSHIP because 1) most of the teams can offer him better wages than us and 2) seeing as he's from Stoke-on-Trent he might favour a move back down south. Not saying championship sides are bigger or better than us. Dembele came from that division and he strengthened that mob.

06 Oct 2017 17:02:49
wilson, where did u hear that as I've only heard it on rumour sites and nothing of substance.

in fact for every time i hear about us having to buy out all unsold stock, which is unheard of in any deal anywhere. there are just as many people to say that its nonsense and is not part of the deal.

so please confirm u have that as a fact and how u know this for a fact.

07 Oct 2017 12:28:44
GM90, right. You want to sign a goalscorer so that another goalscorer can play off him. Call the league what you like (even shout it in capitals) but is is still England's second tier. Then you say he'd probably prefer to move south anyway, so what's the point of your fantasy football post? Finally, you find a single instance of a player from that league doing well in the SPhelL to try to justify all your nonsense. Fact is, Moult will never be good enough to play for Rangers. Surely you must have more ambition for our great club than that?

07 Oct 2017 12:34:56
Ripping us off with the £54.99 price and letting on its £64.99 to start with, yet JD can sell it for £50.

05 Oct 2017 12:37:01
Hope you all have your passports ready for your big glamour friendly in GREENOCK lol.

05 Oct 2017 12:55:19
You'll need a passport to get out of greenock that's for sure😉😂. Good effort timalloy, maybe next time eh👍

05 Oct 2017 13:15:36
Waw you really are obsessed with rangers you told me something I did not know lmao that is incredible!
Pmsl!

05 Oct 2017 12:56:25
Timalloy it's international week. Should you not be worrying about how the Republic of Ireland are getting on and leaving the rangers alone?

05 Oct 2017 18:05:07
All of you should be getting behind Scotland. Could still have a chance of getting to a world cup .

05 Oct 2017 18:07:55
Tim do you ever post anything other than comments about Rangers. Is Tina turners song about you “simply obsessed” can’t think about anything else.

05 Oct 2017 18:48:22
Totally agree Jason, c, mon Scotland

05 Oct 2017 22:36:27
You can't beat the Tima classic for oldco. 'simply deceased'

06 Oct 2017 10:22:53
Timalloy. You should be fretting about the damage Bayern Munich will do to your lot. I guess you'll never go near a beer hall again after they've finished with you. It would also be miraculous if Brown and Armstrong were suddenly fit to play in these games.

06 Oct 2017 13:10:29
What happened the last time Morton visited Parkhead? ;)

06 Oct 2017 20:41:00
Well its actually going to be at aukenhowie.

05 Oct 2017 10:58:56
League cup semi v Motherwell will be tough too but I'm positive we, LL win and that'll be the key to us going on a great run. I've got this gut feeling we are winning this cup and it's the start of us closing the gap on that lot and eventually overtaking them.

05 Oct 2017 11:18:22
Robbie if we get them in the final they will pump us mate, just being honest.

05 Oct 2017 11:35:13
Not this time they have to lose sometime. Time PC tells the players we are Rangers and we keep going till the end and we run scared of nobody especially that lot. Let's get right in to them Sounds style c'mon us.

05 Oct 2017 12:12:16
Admire your optimism but just can't see us beating them. They are not only better but our players fear them. Our best chance is to hope Hibs beat them although getting past Motherwell won't be easy

05 Oct 2017 12:57:46
Yeah plenty of optimism robbie, I wish it was that easy but the majority of our players don't have the ability or fight in them.

05 Oct 2017 14:38:30
LOl love it Robbie, we all know Pedro is a clown but now u want him to say to his players "we are rangers" wow coaching masterclass that will work.
Even he not that daft, your knowledge of football is astounding as u now think you are going to overtake us.
Its time to stop saying it and start doing it, nah feck it keep it up mate its what gets me on here, comedy gold as usuall.

05 Oct 2017 21:22:35
rayman99 we know what gets you on here. OBSESSED

05 Oct 2017 22:37:57
You say obsessed we say amused.

06 Oct 2017 10:42:42
Were u up all night watching Any Given Sunday Robbie?

05 Oct 2017 09:40:27
I seen in the gallery of training pics Miller was involved in first team training yesterday.

05 Oct 2017 09:36:38
It does not come as any surprise that the press are not reporting with the glee they reported last week that Kenny is back training with the first team squad, how many of the press were saying he was finished at Ibrox and Sutton indirectly calling him "the rat", i have stopped buying the DR as i'am sick and tired of them putting the boot in whenever they can and as for Sutton! Words fail me

05 Oct 2017 14:40:57
Priceless post, how is it news if a guy is going to his work to do what he does everyday?
Its only news if he is not and made to do something else, got to love the 5 agrees, u guys keep bringing the laughter.

06 Oct 2017 10:51:12
rayman99, best "agree" this week is news that Lubo agrees with the 5 asterisks.

05 Oct 2017 08:42:59
There have been a lot of excuses made about our inability to compete with Celtic because of finances. Fact is that Celtic have dismantled us with ease in our last three encounters with a team which hasn't cost very much. I do think some of Pedro's signings have worked out well but the big money signings which haven't were too high risk. Celtic now make up around seven of the Scotland national team with Griffiths the most expensive signing of them and that wasn't for much. I've read plenty of posts saying the likes of Walker and McLean are overpriced, we can't afford them, let's wait till next year and get them on pre contracts or that they're not good enough. We couldn't afford them because we blew the budget elsewhere and blew it in more ways than one.

05 Oct 2017 08:51:36
Can't argue with that, should have spent the cash on them instead over priced over rated banditos.

05 Oct 2017 09:01:32
kfraser

Whilst I agree that better targets were available etc and your post has a lot of merit, I take exception to the "team which hasn't cost very much" theory.

Sviatchenko 1.5m
Simunovic 3.5m
Boyata 1.5m
Sinclair 3.5m
Kouassi 3m
Ntcham 4.3m
Brown 4.5m
Lustig 2m

That's over £20m by my count on 8 players (figures are rough estimates from Transfermarkt. com)

Their squad I would estimate is roughly 3 times the cost to assemble vs ours. Whilst I also appreciate that ours is the same variance vs Aberdeen, Hibs, hearts et al, we aren't dismantling these teams with consummate ease, so why are Celtic able to do it to us.

My thinking on that is simple, they invested better and their manager is better.

05 Oct 2017 10:47:28
We aren't dismantling hearts hibs aberdeen with ease blueblazer because most of the players we bought aren't good enough and the manager is obv not up to it either as his judgement was the reason we bought these players. It really is that simple. Instead people come up with every reason/ excuse as to why we are poor. As I said the reason is simple, most players and the manager is not good enough.

05 Oct 2017 11:00:13
Great points Blue Blazer.

Their manager is better and he is the difference, that coupled with the core of their team being together for many years. We need to remember some of those players have been there since we played in the 3rd Division

Pedro may not be the one to topple Rodgers, but if we get behind the manager and allow him to build a strong nucleus of a squad, we may be able to bring another manager in with abit more pedigree in the coming seasons. if need be.

Deila was a disaster for them let's be honest, but he had an eye for a player by the looks of things and I actually think Pedro is pretty well respected in the scouting network too. He has been involved in scouting and coaching at many big clubs around Europe before he was given a permanent job as a manager.

We are moving forward, not as fast as people would like clearly but this is a journey I don't think any other club in world football has had to endure.

05 Oct 2017 19:30:07
aberdeen didn't have to change 8 players that's why and sorry have we played them yet i must have missed that game

06 Oct 2017 01:14:41
Blueblazer your list of 8.players costing 20m plus well 3 of that 8 didn't even play in last 2 -0 defeat throw in Gordon teirney Forrest McGregor tonic Griffiths roberts (loan) n dembele who all played some part of game n u talking 1.5m in total for them

06 Oct 2017 10:30:46
They've got a better manager plain and simple. it doesn't mean because they've got a guy at 3m (kouassi) that he's better than a guy they got for abt 150k (armstrong)

05 Oct 2017 05:55:49
What's everyone thinking for next weeks game away to St Johnstone then? Must win game and I can see us coming away with a good result (hopefully a clean sheet too) .

05 Oct 2017 06:46:33
Hope so.

05 Oct 2017 07:16:37
Im gutted Jacks missing out and i'm gutted Penas playing

05 Oct 2017 08:27:20
Every game is a must win! Ain't it?

05 Oct 2017 08:31:53
St Johnstone away is tough but PC knows this and I'm sure will be ready. Alves back will help big time let's hope we take all our chances this time. Comon us.

06 Oct 2017 22:34:46
Alves has played most games and it’s not helped us! its gona be a tough game but like CD says there all must win someone just needs to tell Pedro that because he doesn’t seem to get thate
