so just a wee thought for us fans to think bout partenership with sports direct puma renaming stadium seem mike ashley is involved in all of these green and him must be really close would be good to no how much we are getting for these deals if board had a good deal they would tell us all but no figures on any of them makes me think we would be disapointed herd could be 5 year deal for stadium name if the case would like to no the figures

Tech partnership with puma, there is no deal per say they do the strips Rangers sell them end of story. It will be a few years before a real deal is done.

Agree3 Disagree5

@1; Do Rangers purchase the strips from Puma? They have to make cash. This is looking like one person will be quids in, Ashley. Most kit suppliers don't actually hand over cash it is done through corporate and the supply of training gear, kit etc.

Agree7 Disagree1

There is no cash up front with the Puma deal. They will manufacture the strips and once overheads are deducted any profits will be split between Puma and Rangers. The Dry Blackthorn deal is only of one season as well, that is not encouraging long term strategy, this time next year we are back to square one regarding shirt sponsors. This is not the way Rangers should be ran, it's a disgrace and more of Greens lies are being found out, the Adidas deal, Dallas Cowboys. When I bought my 3 season tickets I voted to change the name of Murray Park, we are still waiting on that, and I was told at a recent Q&A Green can't change Murray Park's name becuase it isn't hi to change. There are still far too many unanswered questions and people are starting to worry.

You couldn't write this stuff

Agree5 Disagree2

@ 4 mike ashlay owns 49% of the merchandise so the puma money wil be split between rangers and ashley and ashley has already put up a 1.5 million loan that will be cleared from rangers profit first

Agree3 Disagree4

There is no cash deal from Puma mate. They make the strips and Rangers sell them. Its as simple as that.

Hi bears, I was adding today's evening times and the piece on the finances at ibrox. One of the comments surprised me about TV income. Clearly, the main reason we still have a TV deal in Scotland is due to the fact that both SKY and ESPN had conditions in the clause that allowed them to show Rangers games in the 3rd division. On this basis, I would expect that Rangers will still be getting a decent slice of the TV revenue? The only team on TV more is Celtic, its outrageous if the rest of the SPL teams are banking more than us even though we are on the box more than them?

Can anyone shed any light on the arrangements here?

Jason {The Ed039's Note - I believe the TV deal breaks down to something like £35,000 per televised game for Rangers this season)

Believable5 Unbelievable10

Fair point. But the other teams play in the top league, I assume that would be the reason if what you say is true.

Agree5 Disagree4

Ed, thanks, that is pretty poor considering it was £82k per match for any SPL team over a decade ago! Also we are the the 2nd most televised team in Scotland! Oh well

Does anyone know how much the sky / espn deal is worth and what the breakdown of payments is? Is it £35,000 per game each or is it split? does spl games get paid more than sfl games? Is there any money taken out to pay as prize money to league winners and if so what is the split between the divisions?

Agree1 Disagree1

Has anbody heard that green paid david murray 2 mill plus for the car park apparently its hidden in accounts {The Ed039's Note - Somebody is telling you porkies)

Agree2 Disagree8

Accounts clearly say

"On 9 January 2013 the Group purchased Edmiston House and the Albion car park for a total cost of £2, 412,000. "

So not porkies at all.

Agree5 Disagree4

The break down is the spl bought the sfl, s tv rights for a million quid how the sfl break that money down is up to them but if rangers have had nearly half of the full amount from a 30 team league you should count your lucky chickens

Agree2 Disagree0

@ 4 murrey sold green edmiston house loyds sold him the car park both deals done in january. you have to ask why did murray and lyods own those assets was it part of the sale to whyte? sell club for a pound liquidate then sell them back for their golden hand shake murray and loyds sold the club down the swaney and have now walked away with a few million each would those assets not have been better going towards a cva?

Agree6 Disagree0

N2 the spl would need 2 charge more to watch there games they need an extra 28 grand for mr doncaster

Agree0 Disagree0

My guess is part of the Murray Green deal would be that 'Murray' Park keeps its name and we never get the choice offered to us to change it from Chares 'I always deliever on my promises' Green.

Agree5 Disagree1

Hi ed did you follow the link what do you think? something seems quite perverse about murray cashing in on the club again. why do you yhink this is being kept quiet {The Ed039's Note - Sorry I have been working, dont usually post links but if you send me it again I will have a look)

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry ed its not porkies i'm afraid I found the story

Let's face it we have all but won the league this year but what of next season the performances don't improve against a slightly better opposition?

What if next season there is another form team in Div 2 like Queen of the South this season?

Queen of the south this season stats, played 26 won 22
Draw 3 lost 1. A pretty good record if you ask me.

So what I there is a few banana skins for us next season and we get into a title scrap in Div 2 or whatever div we are playing in. Do you think these players and the ones being touted to join have the knowhow to win a league? Surely with the wages being spoke off then they should but with Ally's debatable tactics you never know.

Jas

Believable14 Unbelievable7

Don't be so stupid we will win the league next year at a canter

Agree6 Disagree23

We will win the second division no nother but we should respect our opponents unlike early away games this season.

Agree3 Disagree11

Have you forgot that ally is looking at daily and other out of contract SPL players. surely to give us a slight advantage over the banana skins

Agree2 Disagree5

Op we will be the queen of south next season in division 2 I know that sounds funny bit its the way its goes eh onwards and upwards cheers
