Middlesbrough in for Dorrans now. Only paper talk but it's looking increasingly likely we may miss out on our man. Hope we can get this deal over the line. Think he would be a cracking signing.

Probably a combination of paper talk and agents trying to work a better deal. If Dorrans really wants to come he'll come, money should not necessarily be the driver, I would assume he is probably already financially secure.
I agree he would be a great signing but only if he's coming for the right reasons.!
Playing for his team, in front of 50k every other week, hopefully lifting trophies 🏆 and creating a legacy, while earning a decent wage. If that's not enough, the so be it.
I reckon I could do a good sales job for the Gers 😍 And I would be willing to come home and take a pay cut to do it!

Pedro has already stated he only wants players who want to come here if dorrans wants to keep his options open with rangers, boro, sheff weds then dorrans will not be at ibrox . but if dorrans heart is set on a move to ibrox then he will make it happen

Just a thought could the club/ P. C. be waiting until these work permits are granted (or not! ) and dorrans/ Lafferty/ Naismith/ the 2 Portuguese guys or whoever we may be after ect have their signatures on the paper and then going to strat offloading possibly paying off the unwanted player just to get rid?

Just seen that article on NewNow, that's a bit concerning but I'm find it hard to fathom how these deals would have practicly got this far with at least a high degree of confidence that they would go ahead.
Although if we have got to sit in front of a biased SFA panel then I really do fear for those deals.
And make us look 👀 like idiots bringing these Mexican lads to Glasgow for medicals and signing talks, with both Pena and Herrera getting there pic taken everywhere.
I'm hoping that that article was not correct. Or at least I hope 🤞 so.

From what I have heard they boys have work permits, but need permission from the SFA to play in the league.

The 3 man SFA panel have to agree that the players will be a benefit to the league. Then they make a recomendation to the Home Office for work permits. Nothing new here and has been widely reported since we showed interest in them. Rangers new this going into the deals.

I'm very excited 😊 ahead of this new season, it looks like Pedro seem has got every target ( barring 2 work permits ) .
I have to admit I know little about Dalcio or Cardoso, although it speaks for itself that there pedigree players that play are a higher standard than we do, and a friend told me to look out for Dalcio - the young mans meant to be a real talent.
Things seem to be going according to plan so far, but when all the names came out of who we were meant to be signing Alves and Dorrans were my top 2.
Now I'm getting told that the Dorrans deal is now unlikely. Got to admit that one would be gutting.
Can anyone or somebody in the know confirm we're the Dorrrans deal is at this moment? Or even if someone can confirm if the deal is dead?

And if he's coming when would you think it's likely that he'll be signing.
I was told that the clubs entered negotiations but the deal is now either dead or at a complete standstill because Norwich are wanting more money and it all upfront, due to there own financial situation.
I genuinely think we're going to loose out on that one.

If we have signed these players and going to get these other deals done today what's going to happen when the window opens up on the 9th we can sign Scottish and English players so if we keep going at this rate we will have a full new squad first team and subs
On another note someone put up a post on how much we have spent so far was about 7 million or something or 8 million plus when the Dorian's they said but they did not take in to account there would have been a fee for Ryan jack at least a few 100k because we are both in Scotland and we had to by Pedro out of his last contract in Qatar so it's more closer to 9 million would have spent so far
And what happened to the guy from Portugal from the lower league Paulo or something like that not heard anything and was meant to have scored a lot of goals last season is quick and only 20 or something

Ryan Jack is 24, meaning he is free. The fee for Pedro was believed to be 500k. Paulinho signed for Braga, which is no surprise with the Season he had.

We have only signed 1 (Herrera) . Dalcio is not a striker!
However I reckon we will not see another unless Garner goes. Herrara, Miller and Garner would be available for the single strikers role (not to mention Waggy or Dodoo) . even if a couple of the above leave any further recruitment may depend on money in and European progress. We will hopefully have an idea if we will be in Europe proper before the window shuts.

If hererra plays as are main striker then we have garner and miller as back up so that's enough for now so I think we just need another top quality winger and right back and another cb that should be us

Interesting if it's true. Rangers can't lose its identity on the pitch. A lot of players coming in who don't know what it's all about and a lot of players at the club already who don't what it's all about. PC only learned that after the Celtic defeats. Maybe he's looking for a mix in the squad that can carry on the fight and inspire others. Not sure if Fleck is 100% the person to do it though.

Iv Seen a little of him when he first left and was at Coventry and Blackpool and did jack. He has had one good season in league one he will not make us stronger he is nowhere near the level of player Pedro is currently bringing in.

Does anyone know for certain if we have a genuine interest in Walker from Hearts. I have a few friends who are Hearts fans, they tell me he is class and would be great at Rangers and is meant to be a Gers Fan. I have seen him play against us last season and thought he was very good.

We have 2 new players all signed up (Alves and Jack) and 5 in the pipeline (Pena, Dorrans, Cardoso, Dalcio and Herrera) .
As we are starting back pre-season today do you guys think that we are done for this window apart from sales?
I would still like us to bring in Paterson and get rid of Hodson, Kiernan, Forrester and MOH (possibly others but these four are totally surplus to requirements IMO.
Or do you think if we do ok in Europe that we could attract another player or 2?

How are Danny and Niko similar in anyway? Niko is slow and sluggish, Danny is rapid for his age. Danny is a winger, Niko is a midfielder. Danny and Niko are nothing alike.

Delighted and excited with the new signings, all look quality. I checked out both Mexicans on YouTube and they score some goals and will thrive in the spotlight at Ibrox.
Alves will be a rock at the back and will score a few. Jack is another good signing and Dorrans is another who will be awesome, I would still love to see big Patterson at right back.

Surely if Patterson or Abella arrives then Tav will go. I for one would be ok if this happened and we kept Hodson as back up. Can't see Tavs staying as secondary RB plus the time is coming for us to startfdoing some business of players going other way and Tav could bring us a profit on what we paid for him. Should be able to get at least 1m for him and Forest the likely destination.
Also get Waghorn out for probably 500k
As time passes and talks of Dalcio and Agra and Candiesa possibly arriving then I'm thinking that McKay is for the off. Dunno what we will get for him tho I think 2m upwards just hope we can get a few teams bidding for him BUT we should definitely make sure we have a % of his next Transfer fee.
So we should have a minimum 3.5m coming in from 3 players.
Im expecting a few loan deals to take place for guys like Forester O'halloran and Poss Kiernan.
Looks like Crooks is going to Scunthorpe and anything over what we paid is excepable as I do not think he will now get his chance and we cannot fanny about having players sitting on their backside picking up thousands.
Would like to see Windass go to Newcastle in a deal in witch we see DeJong come the other way OR sell for a profit.
Halliday I think will go to Bradford or possibly an SPFL team for nothing! Heard he was on 2k a week.
Don't see us going for Heneghan at Well but maybe Moult only if Well stop holding us to Ransom.
Its ridiculous. Point in question. The lad Mallen who left St. Mirren to go to a Championship Club down South for 200k IF WE showed any interest a 500k would have been slapped on his head.

it looks like we could lose out with dorrans, being outpriced by shef. wed. it might be better if we could consentrate in getting an established right back like Patterson or abella, move tav to midfield, as I think he would flourish, or even as back up for the midfield. i know last season his set pieces were poor, but he has it in his locker to score as was proved the previous season . Just a thought.

I don't see Hodson having a future at Rangers. He is limited in attack and not that great as an attacking player. Tav will be our right back unless we bring someone in and that I suspect would link with Tav going to Notts Forrest.
