Where does it say its an ex qpr and spurs striker we are after anyway lol?

05 Jul 2016 20:27:11
I hope not because then it's probably zamora.

05 Jul 2016 20:34:00
Where does it say that.

05 Jul 2016 21:10:57
Someone posted on the rumour page ealier sayn it was doing the round on twitter that it was an ex qpr and spurs player.

05 Jul 2016 22:13:08
It was mentioned on social media that a striker that didn't play a lot last season in the EPL and was once a player at Spurs and/ or QPR was a target. Crouch was talked about and I'd chuck Frazer Campbell into the mix too based on that.

05 Jul 2016 22:43:13
"When your sat on row Z and the ball hit your head.

That's Zamora"

05 Jul 2016 19:16:40
could the striker be Nicklas Bendtner?

06 Jul 2016 03:35:11
Soon have Lord Lucan than Lord Bendtner 😂😂.

06 Jul 2016 09:18:07
Defo no going to be nick lord bendtner.

05 Jul 2016 18:09:27
Tell you what, if we do manage to sign Oguchi Onyewu, he'll have Frankengriff running the other way. The lad is huge!

05 Jul 2016 18:41:19
Am I the only one who thinks he ain't that big, just a bit of muscle but no incredible hulk.

05 Jul 2016 18:51:15
he's huge.

05 Jul 2016 18:58:22
He's feckin 6'4' and full of muscle.

05 Jul 2016 19:20:06
Wouldnt like to take a punch of him that's for sure lol.

05 Jul 2016 19:28:34
At 6'4 and only 95kg, must be a skinny runt lol. I wish I was back to 95 kg.

05 Jul 2016 19:30:03
Wouldn't want to go home to him a shift short!

05 Jul 2016 19:38:34
He's a big fella.

05 Jul 2016 21:33:49
Pienbovril, you speak my language, lol. but he is not from the land down under, he is a yank lol.

05 Jul 2016 22:35:55
I was expecting booker T with the way people where talking.

06 Jul 2016 10:08:01
albertz what size r u mate? he is 6ft4"
that's big in my book and he is solid look at him in training with rangers.
he I leane because he is soo fit and is full of defined muscle mate the guy is a monster to come up against.

06 Jul 2016 10:40:18
Haha big John. Wondered if anyone would pick up on that!

07 Jul 2016 11:15:32
Pieandbovril surely we are not the only men at work ha ha lol, cheers mate ime glad somebody tippled lol.

05 Jul 2016 17:55:06
Ex Spurs and didn't play a lot last season is the social media chat for a striker. I'm. Chucking Frazer Campbell into the mixer.

05 Jul 2016 18:26:49
I'll chuck Emmanuel Adebayor in.

05 Jul 2016 18:51:27
wouldn't mind campbell.

05 Jul 2016 21:58:28
Crouch played for the two of them. So defo hoping it's not him.

05 Jul 2016 17:02:39
Dave king saying a statement regarding kit and retail deal will be made by the weekend.

05 Jul 2016 19:26:41
Lionbrand have been told to immediately stop selling the, Help the Heroes. The Charity Help the Heroes haven't authorised this without their permission. Also the Charity hasn't received any monies from this merchandise. Another embarrassing situation. The Retail side of things are a shambles for a huge club.

05 Jul 2016 20:06:14
Lion brand has **** all to do with Rangers.

05 Jul 2016 15:42:22
I think the striker we will go for will be someone that has not been mentioned in warburton we trust will hear on Thursday!

05 Jul 2016 16:39:27
According to other sites there's a transfer fee involved, rules out the free transfers.

Be kind of difficult for it not to be someone mentioned, think every forward in the English football league has been mentioned in the past few months.

Expecting it to be someone from mid to top of the English Championship or a top League one striker. No idea, just guess work at this point but that's always interesting.

05 Jul 2016 17:39:13
This is not what I've heard but a lot of media sites are mentioning its peter crouch we're supposed to be signing, just wondering if the ed has heard anything regarding peter crouch possibly signing for rangers?

{Ed001's Note - only that he is looking for a move away from Stoke.}

05 Jul 2016 20:48:21
I know for a fact Crouch has been spoken to. It's highly unlikely unless money is no factor. He has other options and his Mrs isn't sure abt Glasgow as a base.

06 Jul 2016 10:13:48
how do you know this for a fact scotty?

not saying your talkin pish just asking the question.

05 Jul 2016 14:54:51
Wells. Lafferty. Vaughan. Weiss. Will not be at Rangers next season. Bradshaw still heavily linked even tho price tag is scaring clubs away. New striker expected and is to be bigger than any of the above as well as a loanee striker too bulk up squad. Onyewu would be a great capture decent with the ball at his feet as well as being dominant in the air. Coming out today bougherra is pushing for a return.

05 Jul 2016 11:59:56
Loosening the purse strings just a tad eh 900k it's hardly 9 million is this the state we are really in maybe we should have stayed closer to home for preseason that's about to have cost thousands, I'm not saying I'm no happy with the signings far from it but it is worring when we can't bid up to a million for a player.

05 Jul 2016 13:12:50
Paying a million pounds for a player doesn't gaurentee that he's going to be any better then a freebie. The magic hat will spend money if and when he thinks he needs to. I reckon there's prob 2 million to spend on players. It could be paying a transfer or signing on fees if the guys are freebies.

05 Jul 2016 13:37:13
Hey Aarono 76, maybe you want to bring Coisty back since MW clearly has no clue?

If you area true fan, you'd stop moaning and place your trust and faith in the current board and management team - seems to me that they have delivered what they said they would so far?

05 Jul 2016 19:04:17
From what I've heard rangers don't pay a penny for going to the us it's payed for by the sponsors is this true ed.

{Ed001's Note - I believe it is funded by the event organisers. The club receives a fee for going, which should cover expenses and give money left over to go into the coffers. The event organiser will look to recoup the fee through ticket sales and sponsorship. At least that is the norm in these cases.}

05 Jul 2016 19:16:03
Totally agree bud. does 10 days in usa really merit it with a game against 2nd or 3rd tier team. i think if fans knew the truth we would be wortied. hopefuly get cl next year to help purse strings.

05 Jul 2016 11:14:17
If Warburton could persuade Nahki Wells to come in this window for under 1.5 million then it would be a great bit of business, warbs done the business for Brentford when he sold Andre Gray for big bucks and hopefully he can do the same thing for us, I believe that warburton will bring the right striker in for us, I'm just hoping its either nahki or kanu.

05 Jul 2016 11:30:43
I still maintain that ohalleron was a waste of half a million during the Christmas transfer window. That money would have been better put towards Bradshaw or someone else this season.

05 Jul 2016 11:59:09
You may be right but we should give him a chance, a full season and good luck to him.

05 Jul 2016 12:12:08
Said that at the time. Only bought to please fans claiming we couldn't afford to buy him. Pointless considering he made no real appearances that mattered (league was well tied up, couldn't play in cups) said on an interview on Rangers TV that he thought MW would wait till the summer to get him.

05 Jul 2016 12:13:10
Give Michael o'halloran a chance for gods sake, he needs time to adapt to warburton's style of play, I truly reckon we'll see a big difference in o'halloran this season, some folk not blessed with patience! Get behind the guy instead of continually berating him.

05 Jul 2016 13:32:23
Its no about giving him a chance, its about whether it was worth the money or not. Which it wasn't. We could have went for him now for much less are you arguing that Warburtonthefifteenth? Look at every other signing we have made such an inflated price for a pointless 6 months could have joined us now but you know we have no money and all that shit.

05 Jul 2016 15:34:40
RossW I am arguing that because I think michael o'halloran is a very talented player and imo will go on to prove to you and a good few others that he was worth the 500k we paid for him, so there you have it on the line, my commitment my friend irrespective to what others think I've painted my colours to the mast!

05 Jul 2016 21:39:39
If I remember rightly mark hately took more than a season to get going, give the lad a break.

06 Jul 2016 19:45:43
I think MOH will be a good player for Rangers, let him play up front for a while, he got pace and skill.

05 Jul 2016 11:11:00
Any word on if Ball is coming back to the club, felt he did a good job for us last year. Also does anyone think that Harry Winks will be striker MW was talking about that would be coming in?

05 Jul 2016 11:23:14
Gaz89, Ball is with Tottenham for preseason, Pottechino will make his decision on ball before the start of the season, meaning he'll either be in the Tottenham squad, given an extension on his contract and put on loan or be sold.

05 Jul 2016 11:24:58
Winks isn't a striker.

05 Jul 2016 15:51:24
Too much hype around Ball, he's bang average and will offer nothing to that Spurs side.

05 Jul 2016 06:06:27
Hey All. At the end of the seasons we got rid of 8 U20 academy players. Dylan Dykes, Luca Gasparotto, David Brownlie, Darren Ramsay, Mekhi McLeod, Jamie Brandon, Tom Lang and Jamie Mills. have we replaced these lads? Has their been signings for the development squad that have gone under the radar?

05 Jul 2016 06:40:49
Really hope our scouting network scour Europe for young talent as well as home grown lads, get Knox signed up and get the boy from Finland over for a look, be nice if Barca's La Masia let a couple of there youngsters come over, now that would be interesting.

05 Jul 2016 07:11:20
I don't think they have. Craig Mullholland stated that the U20s that are good enough will be in 1st team squad and the U20's squad will be made up of u18 and a few u17 players (Jack Thompson, Liam Burt etc) . Essentially all the youth teams will be playing a level above!

05 Jul 2016 07:40:18
Worth noting that several new scouting initiatives have been implemented mimicking top development squads such as Ajax. The scouting team will be increased from 13 to about 25 this year so they quality and reach will gradually improve.

05 Jul 2016 08:32:41
MW said he didn't value U20s playing other U20s. Would rather players took steps up i. e. players going on loan or moving up a level which would further their knowledge of the game.

05 Jul 2016 09:43:41
Thanks all. I just find it odd as he placed great value on the youth development scheme but we haven't heard of any trials or in particular or any young talented scottish lads being bought in.

05 Jul 2016 11:17:07
All youth players will be playing a lvl above to test them against older and wiser players.

05 Jul 2016 15:47:55
The club are doing open trials for kids under 11. Also they have bring a friend day, where players bring a talented friend once a year. Apparently Ajax sign 4 players a year doing this!
