A couple of injuries and we won't be able to full the bench, must be the worst gers team in my life time, hope tax case goes against us and we go into administration and start again this team is a pile of cow s**te

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Hey mate, you obviously never saw Cammy Fraser, Martin Henderson, Ally Scott, Ian Redford, Ally Dawson, Colin McAdam, Billy Urquhart...I could go on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Evening Percy's,

I think you'll find that Linfield are the most successful club in the world! If you quantify Rangers as being the most successful club in the world by the amount of cups they've won, then I'm so sorry but they're SECOND! Runners up again! lol

Miko x

Believable4 Unbelievable4

It must be a close thing for who is the worlds biggest f*d, between you and dimalloy.

DimAHOY

Agree2 Disagree0

Runners up maybe but still ahead of Celtic by your admission.
Miko the middle age gent who love to blow kisses at us boys in blue.
Rather worrying isnt it.

Bosley.

Agree2 Disagree1

Google it mate rangers have won most trophys sanctioned by uefa

Agree1 Disagree1

Lol, no need to worry Bawsley! Just wanted to put a stop to this ludicrous chat that Rangers are the most successful club in the world. Celtic have won everything Rankers have and more, so therefore Celtic is the more successful club in Scotland in the eyes of the world, me thinks. Rankers have only really
ever had domestic success, whilst the mighty Celts have a history of European success at the highest level.

The only people who think Rankers are the most successful club in the world are the Rankers supporters themselves, it's self proclaimed garbage. If you were to ask fans in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Portugal or any other country the same question, do you seriously think they'd consider Rangers (or Celts, for that matter)? What a load of tosh! You lot are laughable, and you wonder why I'm on here so much, lol.

Anyway, now that we have established which club is actually the most successful, maybe we can move on and discuss how good the league leaders are! hehe!

Hail Hail!

Miko x

Agree1 Disagree2

I don't need to google anything, who's won the most trophies? Rangers or Linfield? Just answer the question, lol.

Which club has won the most trophies, rangers or Linfield? Eh? Eh? What was that? lol

Miko x

Agree0 Disagree1

That'll be me Dim! lol 2nd again!

Miko x

Agree1 Disagree0

I'm wondering when you have time to look out these facts Dhicko, is it while you are doing the rounds on chat roulette or when the ads pop up on your naughty sites?

DimAHOY

Agree0 Disagree0

One minute its Rangers then its Rankers are you a dyslexic sailor Miko?
Another one that hid under the bedsheets for months, and now pores over football annuals plucking random topics.
Answer the question.
Who are the current Scottish Champions?

Agree0 Disagree0

Simmer down Dimbo! Chat roulette? Naughty sites? What you on about, think you're on the wrong site, this is a football banter forum! lol

Your language is limited in it's vocabulary, do you kiss your mother with that mouth? lol

Laters darlin!

Miko x

Agree0 Disagree0

Laters Miko.

Fail Fail

Bosley.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep, I am 7 actually, however I'm still intelectually superior to you, I think that's evident for all to see!

Laters big ears!

My team for Arbroath would be...

25. Alexander

23. McMillan
2. Goian
18. Bocanegra (C)
12. Wallace

27. Wylde
21. Bedoya
22. Bartley
20. McKay

15. Healy
10. Fleck

Give run outs to the likes of Bedoya/ McKay & also gives Fleck and Healy another chance to impress. Wylde has been murder and needs to start impressing in games like this. Papac & McGregor would be rested for me.

Should be good enough to see them off.

Steven.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Y is Wylde on the right n y is Bartley at centre mid

Agree2 Disagree1

Should be strong enough and alexander is usually given the cup games so this is pretty much what will be played i'd imagine

Agree1 Disagree1

Lol, Arbroath would pump them!

Miko

Agree1 Disagree3

How have we managed to get so bad?

Agree2 Disagree0

Maybe hutton for bartley?? hes supposed to be mcculluchs replcemnet n he didnt put a foot wrong wen he playes last season.

and has anyone gt any news on ness

Agree0 Disagree0

Remind me of the team that lost to Malmo, Maribor or Falkirk? You reallyt believe McCoist can afford to lose another cup game. He'll play his top eleven as he should!

Just a thought but if we had to sell our top players to raise money here's a team we could be left with.

If we sold Jela £8m, Davis £4m, Shagger £7m, Whitts £3m, Edu £1.5m, Mculloch £150k, Broadfoot £400k, Lafferty £1.5m, Bedoya £300k, Ortiz £300k then this would give us £26.1 million towards any possible tax bill and leave us with this starting 11.

Alexander
Mcmillan Goian Bocanegra Papac
Aluko Hutton Mckay Wallace
Fleck
Healy

If they were all playing together as a team it's not the worst team going. We need to start remembering that we're Rangers and only the t*ms would have a stronger team than that. So win all your games against the lower teams who would still have a weaker starting 11 and hope that the derbys look after themselves.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

The difficulty with your theory is that the current squad have lost a shed load of points over the past 2 months against the opther teams. How would weakening the squad gaurantee wins over all teams outside of Celtic. Also, who would make up the additional 7 subs each week, and how would injuries and suspensions be covered. Your theory is pure cloud cukoo land.

Agree3 Disagree2

FFS dont give whyte any ideas - whos on bench for suspension, injuries apart from ness and perry

dannager4life

Agree0 Disagree1

If only it was all that simple.

Steven.

Miko

Can I just make a point about the tax case. People are saying it would put us out of business but i disagree. Even if it was £50m think about it. Would HMRC just slap us with that bill and expect it straight away knowing full well we would have to go into admin and then they'd only receive maybe 10p in the pound for what we owe?

More likely we'd have to set up an affordable repayment plan so they get the full amount back.

Personally i'd rather go into admin than have all that debt but it wouldn't be the complete end of the world.

Rossco Cyprus Bear

Believable1 Unbelievable2

How would they only get 10p in the pound. Rangers assets are worth more than £5m. The administrator (or liquidator as the case may be) would be duty bound to realise the value of Rangers assetts to pay of the circa £50m bill. And remember in the case of administration the FIRST £18m (which is over and above the £50m due to the taxman) is payable to Criag Whyte, due to the securety he has over Rangers.

Agree1 Disagree1

This is the major problem with the tax case.so many fans are under the impression we walk away paying 10p in the pound! the at worst 50m will be realised by the tax man before whyte gets a sniff of 18m.its long overdue for whyte to arrange a meeting with supporters groups to explain this.remember admin means a three year ban from europe n that would cause major problems allied to points deduction domesticaly.lack of accounts signed off and the agm postponment were a sign of poss financial trouble.plus the usual rumours of non payment of tax received from players wages(not illegal but bad buisness practice)

Dazzabhoy has been posted missing on this site for months when The Rangers were top of the league.
Now his team are 2 points clear he miraculously returns, with his dry wit and put downs.
Full of our team is full of clowns and tax case issues.
Dazzabhoy is a true follower of his team, in hiding when they get beat, flying the flag when they are winning.

Joining in on the Edu chat, i was at the game on Sat and Edu was involved in the three goals, he's turning out decent performances at the present moment, granted he's not a Ray Wilkins or a Iain Ferguson but he's only 25 got a lot of time on his side, great level of fitness, unlike some at Rangers at the moment.

Keep him there or we will regret that one, Ally won't let him go.

division 2 Table as it stands Arbroath are 2nd 6 points of the top, they have conceded 25 goals and scored 37 w9 d5 l3, interesting that they have not lost at home this season, however this should be 5 or 6 nil us healy to get a hat trick and gain more confidence and start gaining much needed match fitness and we will kick on from there *ksd*

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Healy wont score a hat trick ye t*t......i'll put a tenner on it......you may win by 4-5 but Healy is a dud!

DazzaBhoy

Agree3 Disagree5

He's only 1 goal behind samaras, how has played 20 more games this season, what does thst make him then?

Agree5 Disagree0

Ed: why let this fan from the east side of glasgow come on this site and try and call some rangers banter fan a mammary gland when there was no need for that kind of banter as a reply? i would ban him if it was me. if that is his typical reply tell him to stick to his own site! its not welcome from us on this site. jammydodger {Ed014's Note - Grow up.It's a banter site.I have better things to do than get involved in petty squabbles.Airdriebear has also tried to moan about it but Ed007 had already messaged me about a comment he tried to post on the Celtic site without leaving a name but it was his IP.Petty revenge? It warranted him a ban.It works both ways, being called a t*t isn't a big deal. And it doesn't break any site rules.

Agree0 Disagree0

A bit like kris commons then?
big craig

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed it may not break any rules and it is petty but its not a responsive reply. the op made a valid claim to about gers next game possibly after watching the player in question having a decent enough game last week and also scoring a goal so the reply was nowhere near the original post. i always post a decent reply or question are you saying i should be doing this on another site ? jammydodger {Ed014's Note - Dazza was answering *ksd* I don't see him complaining do you,or are you his big brother on to stick up for him? It's you that's making a big deal of it.

Posted on the runners-up page ''Celtic won 3 in a row when Rangers were a strong team and Rangers won it while Celtic were rebuilding'', are these people really that ill educated?

Celtic's 1st title of their 3iar was on McLeish's final season as he was leaving

2nd title came when Rangers had the biggest flop in their history as manager Paul Le Guen

and 3rd came when Rangers were chasing 4 trophies and in the UEFA cup final, when we came close to winning the league but had to play too many games in a short space of time.

What are these ''people'' on?

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Mcleish was and is an extremley lucky and unpopular manager ( ask any Aston Villa fan)

le guen was terrible but walters football was dire second time around.

rangers should have been kicked out of europe for antifootball.

too many games dont talk pish

Agree2 Disagree5

Still we won 3iar before you......as we did with 9iar!

DazzaBhoy

Agree3 Disagree0

Kicked outa europe for our style of football!! that is honestly one of the most ridiculous statements i've seen on here. we made a uefa cup final....doesn't matter how we played in the run to the final. we made it n no one can take that away from us, personelly my greatest memory as a rangers fan was making my way to manchester along with hundreds of thousands of fellow supporters. a once in a lifetime experience.
on a seperate note. we earned a memorable 3-0 away win against lyon, a well deserved draw at home to barca and victories against the likes of werder bremen, sporting n fiorentina playing "anti football" . not bad if you ask me.
i take it your'll be crying out for italy to be chucked out of this summers euros? after all they are masters of defensive football, which seems to translate to "anti football". of course you wont cause their performances are described as "a defensive masterclass". i fail to see the difference in the style we play in europe to that which italy play in every single international tournament.

With jelavic and probably 1 more first team squad player possibly edu if that's the case then hopefully around 8 million in and being realistic we have to spend wisely for me a would go for sandaza Boyd and templeton with a creative midfielder along with couple of loan deals these may not be the standard we crave but may see us thro till tax case sorted

Believable0 Unbelievable4

And after the tax case? lets not kid on here the chances of walking from court bill free are zero.at best we win the big tax case completly theres still the small case that we have admitted to totaling around 4m plus our own legal bill to pay.however i think we will be hit hard on the big case also as it seems these practices of payment are tax avoidance rather than the lesser tax evasion.that might mean the dreaded 40-50m which could financially cripple us for years.theres also the 10m black hole whyte has already spoken of that needs filled.we cant spend until these problems are addresed in what looks like feb end or early march

Agree2 Disagree0

What a meant was bring in some cash to help with the tax case and some Players who in an ideal world would want better but keep us competing in Scotland think will get hit by hmrc but maybe not as hard as we think Craig Whyte may cut and run would also be a worry for me

mcculloch, davis and whittaker missing for arbroath game leaves us with a problem i think.heavy pitch, poss rain and deffo wind(it is arbroath!)could leave us a bit light middle to front.couple that with arbroath players sniffing an upset and we could be in trouble if we lose first goal.my team;mcgregor,broadfoot,goian,boca,papac.mcmillan.edu,fleck,wallace.alouko n healy. 4-4-2 n use alouko's touch and pace to create but healy has to show for early passes or we could be running into corners all day.let mcmillan n wallace free to commit arbroath with supporting runs.fleck to spot the passes as he cant be match fit to run midfield for 90 mins.but lets remember ally its ARBROATH so no nagativity please. any thoughts bears? blue.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Does Arbroath have a reputation for being windy?

Lee Mcculloch loses his appeal for red card against st mirren, at this rate we will be struggling to put out a team. Get your intentions out now Mr Whyte. I love Rangers and hate what you are doing. Put up or f*** off and get someone in charge who can take our club forward. Your comments about 5 million a year were lies, your intentions about rangers were lies and I fear for our club!!!!!

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Well it will give the Youth a Chance lets see some of them - Murray Park costs a fortune to run and we know there is decent talent there, give them a chance,

Rangers have lost their appeal over Lee McCulloch's red card against St Mirren and he will now serve a two-game ban.

McCulloch was sent off by referee Steve McLean for violent conduct after catching Graham Carey with an elbow during his side's 2-1 defeat at St Mirren Park last month.

Rangers appealed the dismissal, meaning McCulloch was available for the Old Firm derby with Celtic on 28th December as the process was delayed due to the holiday period.

However, the SFA's disciplinary committe have upheld the ban and McCulloch will now miss this Sunday's Scottish Cup tie with Arbroath and next week's trip to St Johnstone.

The news is a blow for Rangers boss Ally McCoist as he is already missing Steven Davis and Steven Whittaker for the trip to Gayfield.

Good time to blood some of the fringe players this Saturday.

Blue bells are blue

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I am over the moon that mccullock is missing , lets hope we never c him in a rangers strip again . the guy is 1 dimensional slow and pish.

Agree4 Disagree3

Can't believe how verbally critical some fans are about Lee mcculloch edu etc during difficult spells ally and the team need us to get behind them and do what supporters do support the team through thick and thin we need to realise we won't be signing messi xavi etc so get behind the team we have

Agree3 Disagree0

Thank feck, would prefer he was banned until the end of the season, he's Rangers' equivalent to Scott Brown. Contributes nothing, scores very rarely and all he does is growl.

Losing our best player (naismith) was a big blow, a forward player like him would be great. Surely there is some at the club who is a better right back than Broadfoot? He tries his best but it is nowhere near good enough. How he played the whole game against tims I will never know! Main job of a full back? stop crosses coming into your box, he never stopped Forrest once! because he was ten yards away from him everytime he got the ball, Maybe healy should have marked him lol! Bartley can cover for now, need some pace in the team.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

I agree with Naismith being our best player and I believe Jordan McMillan is the best RB at Rangers.

Agree7 Disagree1

Defo mcmillan needs and deserves a run broadfoot is a waste of a wage ive had it with him, we have been very poor attack wise since naisy got injured, if he had played we would still be well clear but thats football, would of loved to hav seen us loan andros townsend from spurs but he`s away to leeds on loan, they reckon he wants away from spurs asap-cheap, young, talent attacking left sided player-no chance then!

Percy's,

Please, please, please stop all this chat about Rangers being the most successful club in the world, how do you quantify this? The Scottish league has predominantly been about 2 teams, yes Rankers have won more titles, however I doubt Real, Barca, Milan, Bayern, etc aspire to hit the heady heights Rankers have set, lol. It's embarrassing!

RFC, RIP! Haw, haw!

Miko x

Believable2 Unbelievable10

Miko here the proof ye f*d
Rangers have won 54 League Championships, more top-flight national championships than any other club in the world. They have won the Scottish League Cup 27 times – more than any other Scottish club – and the Scottish Cup 33 times

Agree5 Disagree0

U answered it yourself "thiko" cos we have won more titles .... we can only win the leagues that were in..... ask yourself if celtic play in the exact same league y they arent the most succesful in the world dont disguise what can only be in your eyes underachievement to have rangers win more comps.

You sound abit bitter there pal. Rangers have won more cups than any other club in the world thats how we quantify it

How many points clear did real n barca finish ahead of 3rd place in la liga last season? they say the spl is a 2 horse race!! i know the level of football in spain is far better in spain but your saying our league is only contested by 2 teams....spain, portugal, france to a certain extent when lyon dominated and marsellie before them. it shows how great a club rangers are that we have maintained our level of success for decades. winning honlurs is what footballs all about n no team is better at doing that than rangers......fact!!

Ally McCoist would like to make his own mark on thr rangers team, IF funds are made available. Therefore the likelyhood is that players such as Novo, Boyd and lovenkrands will NOT be joining unless it is a last resort. Instead he may bid for Sutter of young boys, he is looking for cheap spl strikers to do a job untill his strike force is back to full complement. Also Craig Whyte will get in touch with contacts in London to see if there areany loan oppurtunities from some of the London clubs. All this depends what funds are available and if anyone leaves. Jelavic will only be sold for a bid of £7million + and then McCoist would get in the Region of £1million pounds to spend......therefore as said before Sutter and an SPL striker on the cheap will join a few loan signings in joining Rangers.

Plus Gordon Smith will be looking around clubs through his agent contacts and will try and identify bosmans for Ally to secure on pre contracts.

Keep the faith, 3 in a Row

First things 1st,

There was one of THEM! that left a comment saying we only win the league when they give us it? Because they were top and they bottled it...so does that mean anytime 1 team is top of the league and a different team win then they give them it?

My other point is I see where everyone's coming from that we don't want Sandaza and O'Connor etc because there not Rangers class, but look at some of the people that came from these types of clubs...Andy Goram came from Hibs, wee Nacho from Dundee, Boydy and Naismith from Killie, Neil McCann from Hearts. They were decent enough players and got better by playing with the best team in Scotland...All I'm saying is don't write anyone off. Hell even big Marvin Andrews done alright for us when he came, I'm actually sure he set up a goal from a clearing header lol

Novo's words regarding the Rangers rumours.

Nacho Novo could be tempted back to Rangers although he has ruled out a move away from Sporting Gijon in January.

The 32-year-old striker spent almost a decade in Scotland before heading back to Spain in 2010 and has been linked with a return when his contract expires in June.

Novo has been training with Rangers recently during the winter break in Spain and he has conceded he misses Scottish football.

The former Raith Rovers and Dundee marksman enjoyed being back in Scotland, although he insists talk of an Ibrox return is paper talk.
Memories

"I spent nine years there and of course I miss it, but they have treated me very well here in Gijon and I enjoy it," Novo told Marca.

"Now I have not come back from my holidays thinking I can leave now because I have nothing concrete.

"I have been on holiday to Scotland and the truth is that I have great memories of my time there and it is always good to go back.

"But for now I do not know anything about any supposed interest in taking me back there because nobody has made contact with me.

"Now I am going back to Mareo (Sporting's training complex) to start work again and then we will see what the future holds for me.

"It is true that I can now speak about things with other teams, but firstly I am going to dedicate myself to playing for Sporting."
Natural

Novo has not ruled out penning fresh terms with Gijon as he has been lifted by manager Manuel Preciado's decision to play him through the middle.

"From Sporting there has been absolutely nothing for me to listen to. I just have to sort myself out and work for myself and they have it in their hands," he continued.

"I am happy enough here, but there is a lot to think about. Now I have started to play closer to my natural position and I feel a bit better.

"At the moment I am a Sporting player and I am certain I will finish the season here. I have no intention of leaving in the winter transfer window."

Mcoist has been told he has no money to spend even after jelavic is sold for expected 7m theres 30 percent sell on to go to rapid vienna the rest to service debts! NO PLAYERS COMING IN.

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Rangers only owe rapid 1.2m for jelavic and thats on appearances so that not 30% of 7m and who said he wont get money?

Agree0 Disagree2

30% how do u know? Are u his agent? Whst source u got? I smell s**te

Agree2 Disagree0

Rapid said after the last payment was made that Rangers now owe them nothing! the fee is paid in full.

Agree2 Disagree0

Rangers owe nothing to the Jelavic deal, there was no sell on clause rapid were paid all of the money owed.

Pete

Agree1 Disagree0

Correct we owe nothing to Rapid, however if Jelavic goes I doubt Ally will see any of the transfer fee for replacement.

Papers saying that we have rejected a £500k bid from French side Sochaux... This transfer window is going to be very, very interesting. We are about to find out the true nature of Craig Whytes plans for this great club of ours Bears. How many more bids for players will we be able to knock back ? And how many new players will be brought in ? Roll on February and get this nerve shredding nonsense over with, and get on with playing fitba'

Believable2 Unbelievable0

For what player?

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd also knock back 500K for Edu but anything close to a Mil I'd get rid of him in a heartbeat.

Agree1 Disagree0

Rejected 500k for who?
BIG CRAIG

Agree0 Disagree1

It was edu

gazza 72

Agree0 Disagree0

Didnt he cost us 2.5,why when he has played so many games would we sell for 500k?

Agree0 Disagree0

Edu, is worth more than 500k ... he was stand out against Motherwell, but you wouldn't know it because 99 percent of the Rangers support are constantly on his case, disgraceful

What's the chances of us winning the league? I say 5% at best, be truthful bears

Believable3 Unbelievable2

You forgot the 99. before that

Agree2 Disagree0

50/50
BIG CRAIG

Agree3 Disagree0

How do you come to the figure 5%?? That's mental. BIG CRAIG is spot on 50/50. Rangers maybe just edge it as we have proven in the past that we have what it takes to win titles, whereas Celtic are just good at talking about winning titles.
