Well john 25, where did the 3.5 million come from for Helander? Might even get him on a loan, as i said, he is out of favour at Southampton at the moment. Maybe a loan move for the season. He is a good striker. Most of our signings this season have been free transfers, surely there us more money there.

Yestetdays pitch invasion and damage to propety is all wrong but have some got short memories. Hibs fans come on in tens of thousands at cup final and its described as exhuberance and high jinks or other such phrases.

Yeah ar9 pitch invasions are definitely wrong and both sides of the old firm have been guilty at Rugby Park! The 3 guys will admit 100% they were wrong jumping on the roof of the disabled part and blame it on celebrating with maybe a few to many beers? Although no excuses the disabled part with the roof should surely be removed from the stadium. I am not saying remove the disabled area but surely they don’t require a roof and surely over the years other guys have been on top of this roof!

I would have thought our friends from the East End who are experts on all things regarding stadium construction and are quick to point out the many 'flaws' with Ibrox would have been on to condemn the structure for the disabled fans and even called for a closure of Rugby Park until it was resolved? 😬.

My honest opinion is we are weaker now than we were at the end of last season. We’ve improved the centre half positions in theory, but if we keep playing Goldson regardless of form then those new signings are wasted on the bench. We’ve lost Kent and Candeias and not replaced them with equal quality. Jones and Stewart are mediocre, Ojo I’m not convinced by. We also had a legitimate 3rd choice striker in Lafferty at the end of last season, whereas if Morelos or Defoe gets injured we are in trouble. Worries me Stevie G saying we only need 1 more. We need a left back, we need more creativity up top (Kent back AND a number 10 type ideally) and we need a 3rd striker.

Kent has been missed, Candiaes was far too up and down and simply wasn't reliable enough. F*ck knows what happened to Lafferty. Jones, stewart and ojo need the benefit of the doubt surely? We've just started the season. If I remember correctly Kent wasn't exactly sh*t-hot at the start of last season. I am much more confident and think we've got a stronger first team squad than last season.

Jones has played 10 mins and looked decent. Stewart played his part keep it possession after the goal. Not sure how we can write them off on a 10 min cameo. I'd have had Jones on for Ojo earlier though.

Doesn’t matter that Lafferty didn’t do great his second time round, he’s still an actual striker. Surely we can’t all have forgotten last season’s debacle where we had to play with Sadiq up front? A Defoe injury and a Morelos suspension and that’s the kind of shambles we are back to. Benefit of the doubt? Stewart couldn’t cut it at Birmingham or Aberdeen so how you deem him fit for Rangers? Jones we’ve seen playing in the SPL for a couple of years now, hardly set the place alight. Ojo I just said I wasn’t convinced yet.

Our squad is stronger but our starting 11 is weaker. The team that played celtic off the park at ibrox was our strongest. Obv we don't have kent. The team that started yesterday is nowhere as good as that team that pumped celtic. 👍.

Mr Grumpy is spot on. Tav provides far more than he concedes. His defending has improved leaps and bounds. He’s not making the silly mistakes that he did a couple seasons ago when he was gifting multiple goals to hearts in the same game.

Tavernier dsingle handedly drove us on yday when we looked like dropping points. Took the game by the scruff of the neck and drove forward leading to 2nd goal.2 cracking deliveries for the goals as well.

What game you guys watching Tavs is a top. player I wouldn't want to. lose him Greg Taylor is good but he's no Tavs

As for Barisic, he was dire and looks scared I hope this changes!

Let's see what the next few weeks bring as if he continues to play this way he will certainly lose his place to one of the other two players who are breathing down his neck!

I don't know if it's just because i'm a fan and automatically get nervous that we'll concede but the defending as whole gives me the fear. It doesn't seem to take much pressure for us to concede whereas we need 70% of the ball around their box to wear a team down. I think we need to get the right balance in midfield as yesterday was a little off. Jack is the natural sitter but he's further forward than Davis so we look exposed on the break. If the full backs are going to be so high up the park a midfielder needs to stay back as cover. I don't want to be negative but yesterday was eerily reminiscent of so many games last season.

I think in games like that we don’t need Jack and Davis playing. And Aribo was dropping back too deep for my liking. We should have one holding midfielder and two more attack minded players in the middle of the park against teams that are going to sit in.

We are certainly more commanding in the air and we offer Much more from set pieces in the air now as well - just look at Sunday
We’ve had some rotten centre half over the past 6-7 years but we now have 4 really good commanding centre half’s
We do however have a really underperforming left back.

The Danes have played four and won four in their league this season, sit joint top (second on goal difference) so this won’t be their first competitive game I’m afraid. They’re actually a bit ahead of us in terms of preparation.

I know how many games we’ve played John, I was pointing out that they are ahead of us in terms of their actual league season. I would expect us to be looking a bit sharper by 4 games into our league campaign (I’d hope so anyway seeing as we’re playing Celtic) than we currently are after one game. I do agree they are not as good as say Villarreal or Rapid but again by the time we faced those teams last year we were further into our season and playing more fluidly. It will be a tough tie but it be really disappointed if we don’t get through.

We look weaker on the wings, last few games ojo has done nothing. Need to start with jones atleast he gets the ball and runs with it and is direct. Really hope we don't end up regretting selling candeias. Think we need one more winger.

I don’t care what anyone says. The difference for us is that the rest of the league still think they’ve got a chance against us so they raise their game and go for it. Particularly Aberdeen. Whereas most of the same teams are beaten before they even step on the park against Celtic.

That’s what we have to overcome.

Too many of our troops are putting the boot into barisic this evening, if we're honest there wasn't a player on the park today who deserved a jersey so if your going to criticise one, let's criticise them all. I've seen better games on a Sunday afternoon down the Holm Park in Dumfries. I did notice though, that without Kent and Candias, there was no movement down the wings, everything seemed to be going straight through the middle, very worrying considering the amount of success we had down the wings last season. Hopefully just first game of the season jitters and we crack on from here.

Big Ojo seemed to want to constantly cut inside. The only width we got was from the wing backs and Jones when he came on. Bringing Kent in again would make a huge difference.
