Back to the Killie game, we just can’t play on that surface, players look worried it’s going to be the same type of performance at Livi and Hamilton just hope we get the results, hate watching on that surface always a poor game.

06 Aug 2019 07:35:21
Killie have renewed their pitch and have replaced it with the same hybrid pitch Barcelona have.

06 Aug 2019 08:24:12
I keep saying it - these pitches should be banned.

06 Aug 2019 08:52:24
Nonsense, if the team was good enough they would have won easily, its not the surface it was just a poor performance.

06 Aug 2019 08:57:34
18 goals against Hamilton in last 2 seasons at their ground, surely all 4 games weren't poor.

06 Aug 2019 10:32:22
In my opinion good players can play on any surface . average andxpoor players use it as an easy excuse for their inability.

06 Aug 2019 10:55:12
the stuck, Barcelona have that pitch at their training ground and I don't believe its a hybrid just full on astro turf.

06 Aug 2019 13:25:39
It's not a hybrid it's astro.

05 Aug 2019 22:31:51
I was just wondering wouldn't have been good to have kept Declan John as a left back Its a position that hasn't been recovered since the early times of Lee Wallace and then later on Declan John

I would love to know why we sold Declan John I thought he was a real decent player who can defend as well as drive forward and also had a venomous cross on him

As much as Barisic is an international for Croatia we have really see the best of him yet

So far he looks like he just want rid of the ball as soon as he receives it cannot beat a man and his crosses almost float as if he is kicking a balloon!

I would love to see more aggression and driving into the box beating his man now and again Seeing none of this from him yet.

06 Aug 2019 02:26:39
I must’ve been watching a different player because I didn’t think he was a good defender at all. He was good at going forward but I remember on a few occasions he got caught out. Was he not originally a left winger that got pushed back before he came to us?

06 Aug 2019 08:54:20
Blue89, your comments could equally refer to John or Barasic, apart from originally being a winger.

06 Aug 2019 11:20:07
I’d have kept Willie Mathieson.

05 Aug 2019 21:07:08
Well john 25, where did the 3.5 million come from for Helander? Might even get him on a loan, as i said, he is out of favour at Southampton at the moment. Maybe a loan move for the season. He is a good striker. Most of our signings this season have been free transfers, surely there us more money there.

06 Aug 2019 09:12:31
who is?

06 Aug 2019 09:31:48
I take it you're talking about charlie austin here guys? I agree with Laudrup no1,as charlie austin would be a tremendous signing for us either on loan or on a permanent deal. Would score goals galore with ease up here! The guy is a good striker.

05 Aug 2019 20:59:18
Apart from the pitch invasion etc, I thought the Gers fans behind the goals were fantastic and roared the boys on! Only watched game on tv but the vocal support was different class🇬🇧.

05 Aug 2019 20:24:49
Dose any one think we should go for ben arfa he's a free agent and class player worth a shot as we need another winger.

06 Aug 2019 00:14:43
Wherever he ends up I'd guess he will be want st least 40 grand a week.

06 Aug 2019 09:33:05
NN10,ben arfa is a very good, skillful player mate.

05 Aug 2019 19:22:33
Not to do with Rangers but had to mention the Harry MacGuire transfer. Just about choked on my cornflakes when I read 80 million. That's absolutely scandalous! Just ripping the p! sh out of the game now.

05 Aug 2019 19:41:00
Still doesn’t beat Ollie McBurnie for £20 million!

05 Aug 2019 20:09:14
Or the KT figures. Saw one of them write that they should demand 50 for Ajer. No wonder they slaughtered St Johnstone with the multi million pound superstars they have 😂.

05 Aug 2019 20:14:35
yup i was there that day

THOUSANDS hibs fans invaded pitch attacked our players and managers wrecked pitch

just a bit of over exuberance tho eh.

05 Aug 2019 20:20:29
C of ibrox some of our guys do exact same, they said 20 million fo Barisic based on he plays for Croatia.

05 Aug 2019 21:30:44
See Bournemouth want 75million for Ake. The game down south has gone mad.

05 Aug 2019 22:13:29
Maguire for 80m, Bournemouth have quoted 75m to Leicester for Nathan Ake (apparently), and Brentford and Bristol city have both just sold players to Brighton for 20m each. It's past embarrassing down there now and I can't wait until the day the *rse falls out it all.

05 Aug 2019 22:55:59
Don't forget Neal Maupay from Brentford to Brighton for £20 million. It is getting ridiculous now.

05 Aug 2019 18:02:44
Yestetdays pitch invasion and damage to propety is all wrong but have some got short memories. Hibs fans come on in tens of thousands at cup final and its described as exhuberance and high jinks or other such phrases.

05 Aug 2019 18:45:29
Yeah ar9 pitch invasions are definitely wrong and both sides of the old firm have been guilty at Rugby Park! The 3 guys will admit 100% they were wrong jumping on the roof of the disabled part and blame it on celebrating with maybe a few to many beers? Although no excuses the disabled part with the roof should surely be removed from the stadium. I am not saying remove the disabled area but surely they don’t require a roof and surely over the years other guys have been on top of this roof!

05 Aug 2019 19:10:29
I would have thought our friends from the East End who are experts on all things regarding stadium construction and are quick to point out the many 'flaws' with Ibrox would have been on to condemn the structure for the disabled fans and even called for a closure of Rugby Park until it was resolved? 😬.

05 Aug 2019 20:45:57
As I've said before the rangers fans jumping on the pitch and on that roof are idiots. Just bringing our club down and costing us more money. They could have seriously injured someone.

05 Aug 2019 22:30:18
As a celtic fan and therefore a stadium construction expert, I agree with yately that it was the roofs fault for being in the way of the opening day pitch invasion. It needs to go.

06 Aug 2019 14:34:05
Are we really trying to justify our morons by saying that Hibs and Celtic supporters have done the same?

05 Aug 2019 17:20:08
Legia Warsaw or Atromitos in the 3rd rd.

05 Aug 2019 17:50:13
R u sure?

05 Aug 2019 19:34:24
Wee bit of hard work required before then.
Let's not get too far in front of ourselves.

05 Aug 2019 19:41:35
4th round, if we make it.

05 Aug 2019 17:04:04
My honest opinion is we are weaker now than we were at the end of last season. We’ve improved the centre half positions in theory, but if we keep playing Goldson regardless of form then those new signings are wasted on the bench. We’ve lost Kent and Candeias and not replaced them with equal quality. Jones and Stewart are mediocre, Ojo I’m not convinced by. We also had a legitimate 3rd choice striker in Lafferty at the end of last season, whereas if Morelos or Defoe gets injured we are in trouble. Worries me Stevie G saying we only need 1 more. We need a left back, we need more creativity up top (Kent back AND a number 10 type ideally) and we need a 3rd striker.

05 Aug 2019 17:41:54
Kent has been missed, Candiaes was far too up and down and simply wasn't reliable enough. F*ck knows what happened to Lafferty. Jones, stewart and ojo need the benefit of the doubt surely? We've just started the season. If I remember correctly Kent wasn't exactly sh*t-hot at the start of last season. I am much more confident and think we've got a stronger first team squad than last season.

05 Aug 2019 18:20:33
r u for real swagman. I smell barry white.

weve played 1 game in the league.

stevie g made good point about losing points at end of games.

aribo is class act.

05 Aug 2019 19:13:02
Legitimate 3rd choice striker in Lafferty! 😂😂😂😂😂
Total imposter who's had 2 bites at the cherry and crashed and burned big style!

05 Aug 2019 20:23:50
Although not Goldsons biggest fan, were it not for him we would have left rugby park with 1 point rather than 3 on Sunday.

05 Aug 2019 22:05:02
Jones has played 10 mins and looked decent. Stewart played his part keep it possession after the goal. Not sure how we can write them off on a 10 min cameo. I'd have had Jones on for Ojo earlier though.

05 Aug 2019 22:47:24
Doesn’t matter that Lafferty didn’t do great his second time round, he’s still an actual striker. Surely we can’t all have forgotten last season’s debacle where we had to play with Sadiq up front? A Defoe injury and a Morelos suspension and that’s the kind of shambles we are back to. Benefit of the doubt? Stewart couldn’t cut it at Birmingham or Aberdeen so how you deem him fit for Rangers? Jones we’ve seen playing in the SPL for a couple of years now, hardly set the place alight. Ojo I just said I wasn’t convinced yet.

06 Aug 2019 05:26:12
Steven Gerrard deems Stewart fit for rangers. Same goes for Jones and ojo.

06 Aug 2019 12:51:08
Aye mrgrumpy, same as he deemed Grezda, Worrall, Sadiq, McAuley, Lafferty etc. fit for Rangers?

06 Aug 2019 13:45:51
Still take Gerrards opinion over yours Thewagsman.

06 Aug 2019 14:26:48
Defo totally agree with you I'm starting to lose faith in SG another English man under estimating Scottish league.

06 Aug 2019 14:31:36
Our squad is stronger but our starting 11 is weaker. The team that played celtic off the park at ibrox was our strongest. Obv we don't have kent. The team that started yesterday is nowhere as good as that team that pumped celtic. 👍.

05 Aug 2019 16:50:57
A think we are still about 3 players short. We need another left back as back up or to push Barasic to up hos game. A midfielder that can can go past players and make things happen, ie wee Ryan Kent, or maybe go back for Vladimir Weiss. And definitely another striker, ad try and go for charlie Austin, who is in limbo at the moment at Southampton. Just my thinking on things, we are not far away.

05 Aug 2019 17:15:59
Laudrup where’s the money coming from to get them.

05 Aug 2019 17:44:02
Think Charlie Austin would be great but I agree with john25, where's the money from? don't think we'll sign anybody else unless we sell.

05 Aug 2019 18:04:25
If we get to europa League group we will sign kent.

05 Aug 2019 18:08:40
Nope. We may need another front man but full backs we have 5 who have played there. Centre half’s 4 who are strong, central midfield we have 6, wide men we have 4 and up front 3.

So nope.

05 Aug 2019 18:47:56
John25 if we get to europa group stages we will try and negotiate a deal with Ashley. Success in Europe is a must this year in-terms of generating cash. Our best hope for Kent is the English window closes and he’s still a Lpool player, then another loan benefits everyone concerned.

05 Aug 2019 19:17:09
It’s a reasonable call scotty. I think we have ringfenced money re Ashley.

05 Aug 2019 20:38:27
Do we really think Kent is the difference between winning the league and fighting for second place.

05 Aug 2019 21:36:16
I hope your right John as I’d luv to see Kent back and preferably on a perm deal but I don’t think financially it’s a risk we will take.

Just a thought, how would selling tav and Barisic and buying Taylor for lb plus Kent with the money and playing Flannagan at rb sound?

05 Aug 2019 16:39:11
Ridiculous.

05 Aug 2019 16:47:43
Sounds like you want us to be a mid-table team.

05 Aug 2019 17:00:55
I would be up for that. Taylor is good and Flanagan is solid. Tav will cost us points again this season.

05 Aug 2019 17:45:23
Tav will win us a fair share of points as well though.

05 Aug 2019 18:09:02
Mad I tell you. 😁.

05 Aug 2019 18:12:54
Mr Grumpy is spot on. Tav provides far more than he concedes. His defending has improved leaps and bounds. He’s not making the silly mistakes that he did a couple seasons ago when he was gifting multiple goals to hearts in the same game.

05 Aug 2019 19:18:37
Blue 89, last season, Hibs Aberdeen Celtic for starters.
Although he is getting a wee bit better, jack really covered rb yesterday.

05 Aug 2019 19:25:09
As I said it was just thought, but would Flannagan prevent more chances at goal and would Kent improve our attack?

05 Aug 2019 19:47:25
Tavernier dsingle handedly drove us on yday when we looked like dropping points. Took the game by the scruff of the neck and drove forward leading to 2nd goal.2 cracking deliveries for the goals as well.

05 Aug 2019 20:41:46
His challenge when he got booked was
Due to losing possession then lost the plot another day that yellow could have been red he only started
To play when killie scored.

05 Aug 2019 22:43:27
What game you guys watching Tavs is a top. player I wouldn't want to. lose him Greg Taylor is good but he's no Tavs

As for Barisic, he was dire and looks scared I hope this changes!

Let's see what the next few weeks bring as if he continues to play this way he will certainly lose his place to one of the other two players who are breathing down his neck!

06 Aug 2019 14:32:07
Kent or tav🤔, kent all day everyday👍.

05 Aug 2019 14:40:10
Don't know how strong the Danish league is but so far they've played 4 won 4. Will be a step up to where we've been lately. Fingers crossed for Thursday. W. A. T. P.

05 Aug 2019 15:13:31
Midyty are not a bad wee team but beatable home and away but i take draw away win home.

05 Aug 2019 16:50:37
This tie has danger written all over it. We will have to be at our high-pressing, energy driven best and we must be very protective of the ball. No more switching off and making sloppy passes.

05 Aug 2019 13:28:49
I don't know if it's just because i'm a fan and automatically get nervous that we'll concede but the defending as whole gives me the fear. It doesn't seem to take much pressure for us to concede whereas we need 70% of the ball around their box to wear a team down. I think we need to get the right balance in midfield as yesterday was a little off. Jack is the natural sitter but he's further forward than Davis so we look exposed on the break. If the full backs are going to be so high up the park a midfielder needs to stay back as cover. I don't want to be negative but yesterday was eerily reminiscent of so many games last season.

05 Aug 2019 13:39:12
Boil defence looking ok, jack spent more time behind tav.

05 Aug 2019 13:56:28
I think in games like that we don’t need Jack and Davis playing. And Aribo was dropping back too deep for my liking. We should have one holding midfielder and two more attack minded players in the middle of the park against teams that are going to sit in.

05 Aug 2019 14:28:16
I think our defence isn’t too bad now
We are certainly more commanding in the air and we offer Much more from set pieces in the air now as well - just look at Sunday
We’ve had some rotten centre half over the past 6-7 years but we now have 4 really good commanding centre half’s
We do however have a really underperforming left back.

06 Aug 2019 14:22:49
Goldson needs dropped complete liability the boy is.

06 Aug 2019 14:31:57
Davis makes us tick👍.

05 Aug 2019 13:06:00
Legia warsaw will be tough but very kind draw imo.

05 Aug 2019 12:53:49
If rangers beat Danes either Legia, Poland or atomis of Greece, could have been harder.

05 Aug 2019 13:11:11
Decent draw for us, if we can manage to see off midtjylland.

06 Aug 2019 14:21:19
No chance that Danish team are better than us.

05 Aug 2019 12:25:34
Been thinking about Middleton going to his, I now think its a good thing for all parties. Petrie, Stubbs and owners have changed Dempster comes from a rangers background. Besides the rangers assistant and trainers were very complimentary about heckingbotom and his staffs coaching abilities. So if Middleton goes there scores goals plays well against out rivals we could have an improved player who could have a valuation like Turnbull.

05 Aug 2019 13:21:14
he needs game time which he won't get with us. Hopefully he will do well for hibs.

05 Aug 2019 13:22:21
Your spot on bgate w. I was told by a motherwell director a few years ago now, when leeann dempster was the motherwell CEO, that she was a rangers supporter in her youth. The motherwell director also said she was absolutely top notch at her job and he said then, that she would be brilliant as the CEO of rangers. I've watched for myself and dempster absolutely knows her stuff and is so professional. I was actually hoping she would have got the SFA CEO job,
in front of ian maxwell, but she seemingly didn't want it, no wonder as she would be working with absolute clowns. I would have her at ibrox as our CEO anyday, over stewart robertson. that's my own personal opinion, as i have never been convinced by robertson and think leeann dempster is much better at her job. As well as being fantastic at motherwell, she's now doing a fantastic job at hibs. Clubs down south have taken notice of her standing and hibs have had enquiries for her services from a few clubs.
But she stated herself that she was happy at hibs and for her to leave,
the club would have to meet all her needs and how she likes to run things.

05 Aug 2019 14:48:12
U leannes stalker 😉.

05 Aug 2019 15:31:07
She can't be all bad after her set to with the Lurgan Bigot.

05 Aug 2019 16:09:09
I'm with Steven Gerrard loyal, I think Dempster would be better than Robertson whom has never convinced me.

05 Aug 2019 11:24:16
Hi everyone. Regarding Thursdays game. We are going to have to play a lot more better than we did yesterday, the Danes are decent. Barasic has to be stronger and stop crosses instead of sitting off wide men and Ojo has to turn up and take a game .

05 Aug 2019 11:56:27
Robbie- I think we will be ok Thursday - -TheDanes will not be sitting 9 deep across a VEERY small playing surface - which should allow us to play fast expansive football and maybe even catch them on the hop a bit - is it not their first competitive game this year?

05 Aug 2019 12:17:28
Killie playing surface still third biggest in spfl. Only two feet narrower than old firm.
They had largest playing surface in spfl last year according to herald.

05 Aug 2019 12:22:22
Turns out Killie pitch is same size as ibrox.

05 Aug 2019 13:20:00
The Danes have played four and won four in their league this season, sit joint top (second on goal difference) so this won’t be their first competitive game I’m afraid. They’re actually a bit ahead of us in terms of preparation.

05 Aug 2019 15:37:46
Ger78 they have played six competitive games we have played five. I reckon they are on a par with Maribor, certain no better than Austrians or villireal.

05 Aug 2019 16:36:31
I know how many games we’ve played John, I was pointing out that they are ahead of us in terms of their actual league season. I would expect us to be looking a bit sharper by 4 games into our league campaign (I’d hope so anyway seeing as we’re playing Celtic) than we currently are after one game. I do agree they are not as good as say Villarreal or Rapid but again by the time we faced those teams last year we were further into our season and playing more fluidly. It will be a tough tie but it be really disappointed if we don’t get through.

05 Aug 2019 18:05:54
Get Maribor we were very good, have faith.

05 Aug 2019 10:51:01
Ross Mcrorie sent off yesterday in his 1st game for Portsmouth.

05 Aug 2019 10:24:46
Can you hear me Daniel Candeias.

05 Aug 2019 09:52:10
Will all you NEANDERTHALS who continue with these outdated songs of hate please stop. All you are doing is giving all and sundry a great big stick to beat us with. Life is sh#t enough without you giving the media and the rangers haters more ammunition.

05 Aug 2019 10:39:50
Stop speaking about Michael Stewart and Steven Thompson like that!

05 Aug 2019 10:19:03
Correct ger4. Over to rangers, ban these people who embarrass our club. Police start lifting people, courts jail them.

05 Aug 2019 11:04:17
Ave always said Union Bears as we all know can control the songs. They have the ability to stop this but it doesn't seem to be in their agenda.

05 Aug 2019 11:04:44
Dont get me wrong some songs are wrong but u can't ban everybody i was at old firm in may and to me 50k were all singing the billy boys its our greatest song which makes most atmosphere imo.

05 Aug 2019 11:37:58
Paul86, Its a song built on hatred which some of our fans use against a group of fans sitting watching there own team. If that's our 'greatest song' then we should hang our heads in shame. Explain to me what, in 2019, rangers have to do with being enemies to catholics? what do Rangers have to do with the orange order or masons? Every rangers fan wears a sash? Every Rangers fan is a protestant?
As my mum used to say to me when I said something stupid
'away an bile yer heid'

05 Aug 2019 11:59:42
😂😂 i just think its the song that gives off the most atmosphere. I am well aware what year it is i never mentioned the masons or OO? Why has the date got anything to do with this? These songs have been sung on terraces since day dot i guess. These songs that some folk don't like will never not be sung in the stands. Same as that lot over the city. Its passed down through generations it will not and cannot be stopped. Also its not just a rangers and celtic thing there's other clubs at it aswel.

05 Aug 2019 12:00:02
Can we not just change a couple of words in the Billy Boys - -there are other teams who sing a 'version' of the same song. Maybe the flag at the other place means at least 1 word is OK as that didn't make much of the headlines!

05 Aug 2019 12:03:31
It’s time to end these song of hate it’s an embarrassment the club is trying to move forward while those who sing these songs are holding us back the damage done to the disabled enclosure didn’t help us either why jump on the roof while our own fans are below for god sake let try and protect the name of the club you claim to love.

05 Aug 2019 12:25:36
I am not one to sing the songs and the morons crashing through the roof need banned. Jail for singing a song though is a bit much 🤣.

05 Aug 2019 12:36:31
Ban the whole 50k folk at last celtic game twacoos?

05 Aug 2019 12:39:48
Can i say as a Catholic gers fan ( yes we do exist) i follow the team for the football and have for 36 years sinxe i was a teenager and the songs are vile and do no credit to the majority of Rangers fans u know. It has always sickened me that our club is tarred because of so much that is unrelated to football. Noone in their right mind would sit in the stand singing about supporting al quaeda so why do both sides of the divide spend their weekends supporting terrorism of whatever colour. I long for the day i can sit without listening to the vile hatred based on religion of either side.

05 Aug 2019 13:09:48
You know what paul86. If it has any chance of removing the songs then yes ban 50k.

05 Aug 2019 13:17:22
How’s about not being so bloody sensitive. It’s a song . Not like they are killing anybody!

05 Aug 2019 13:49:45
Will never ever happen fintytint. 🇬🇧.

06 Aug 2019 14:15:53
Paul 86 I was at the Old Firm in May. I am a season ticket holder in Copland Road, have been more than half my life. My wife is a Catholic. I can 100% guarantee you I was not singing the Billy Boys.

06 Aug 2019 14:25:17
I am in agreement with the majority here - had a season ticket most of my life and have never sung the billy boys.

05 Aug 2019 07:57:43
We look weaker on the wings, last few games ojo has done nothing. Need to start with jones atleast he gets the ball and runs with it and is direct. Really hope we don't end up regretting selling candeias. Think we need one more winger.

05 Aug 2019 09:21:09
Agree about wings, don’t agree about Ojo.

He’s the type of player who will drift in and out of games. He’s also a game winner and game changer. We didn’t have that last season.

05 Aug 2019 09:45:05
Keep hearing from a ex player we want a marquee right sided player.

05 Aug 2019 11:47:16
Ojo is type of player that will turn it on at Ibrox when we 2up. Hard away days he will be a passenger.

05 Aug 2019 12:02:04
OJO will have more room to use his pace and run at defence this week in Denmark.
He is never going to get that in 90% of games in Scotland, especially if the pitch is 7 a side size!

05 Aug 2019 15:07:40
we won at rugby park for the first time in the league since 2011! was it ugly? yes! But we won and that's the difference from previous seasons.

04 Aug 2019 23:43:53
Let’s do this bears. if ever a season mattered more in recent years it’s this one.

Never mind the furore getting created by media journalists or blinkered biased ex players alike.

This is our season, our claim, our team and our time . Let’s hit the ground running, create a positive and confident camp and the players will respond with endeavour and passion every week to deliver the same.

Cmon Bears.

Spot on Bigjktf!

There’s a right good few on here will say ‘Aye but. ’

I don’t care what anyone says. The difference for us is that the rest of the league still think they’ve got a chance against us so they raise their game and go for it. Particularly Aberdeen. Whereas most of the same teams are beaten before they even step on the park against Celtic.

That’s what we have to overcome.

05 Aug 2019 09:41:00
you are right Dog
it going to take a while before teams fear us.

05 Aug 2019 11:03:50
DEEB personally i believe a lot of them do fear us an that's why some park the bus against us an hope to get us on the break. (And it works sometimes when our defence fall asleep again in the later stages of the games) .

05 Aug 2019 22:37:21
Also a good point Blue. But they don’t fear us the same.

04 Aug 2019 23:26:36
Great to see Rangers win at a tough venue
Last season we would have dropped points.
Again some crazy singing lads move on or the SFA will hammer us for sectarian singing.

05 Aug 2019 05:43:52
Bit of a contradiction with you're name there william king haha.

05 Aug 2019 07:27:17
Maybe his name is William king? Doesn't have to be sinister common name.

05 Aug 2019 08:30:46
I get your point mate. I have been there done it and got the T-shirt. Yes I have sang all the bad songs and shouted all the obscenity at Celtic players. But even I can see it’s time to move on
It’s been a long number of years since I did any of this
Having two kids also puts it into focus.
Would you think yesterday would have been a good environment for kids to watch that match
We a coming down the road with the U-F
Come on that’s not what we want the next generation singing.

05 Aug 2019 09:14:23
Well said William. Time to move on from this, especially as the haters will pounce on every wrong move and the club will get hammered. Leave that kind of stuff to the other lot. They can combine it with the pyrotechnics.

05 Aug 2019 09:29:48
Well said William, I’ve never been one for the songs. I can’t stand it.

There is a small minority right now who are not the fans I want with my club. Yesterday was pathetic. It only gives Celtic fans strength and piety!

It makes me sick.

05 Aug 2019 09:43:32
Regarding songs and banners etc
is the word Fe**an a 'banned 'word?
it must be banned at the BBC as they didn't mention it re Parkhead on Saturday.

05 Aug 2019 09:51:58
Strength and piety? Have you heard the celtic song book recently?

04 Aug 2019 22:44:48
Is it just me or does bringing on jones and Stewart to try and win a game seem a big step down fron candeis and Kent. definitely need to try get in another creative player if Kent doesn't happen.

05 Aug 2019 08:19:41
It’s just you - Kent was a starter, Jones and Stewart were subs👍.

04 Aug 2019 22:33:51
Its it strange that when they score in last minute after struggling to break down a side. That makes them championship material but when we do it, it's a different story.

Also I really think SG should be highlighting the treatment of Alfie. ie players trying their level best to provoke a reaction from him with off the ball digs and getting into his face. Hats off to the wee man for keeping his cool. can't believe nayfoot didn't get booked for throwing Alfie to the ground as had it been the other way about I'm sure Alfie would have been booked.

05 Aug 2019 08:03:09
Agreed stewartyblue. The old reffereing cop out having a word with both. Broadfoot should have been booked no question. Maybe I'm biased because I was needing a broadfoot booking to win my bet builder for £1000🤬.

05 Aug 2019 09:19:40
I agree, every time the ball went near Morelos the crowd were howling for a foul and the antics of their players were disgusting with them constantly moaning at the ref like big lassies. I thought the lad led the line well and he should be applauded for keeping his temper in check. And yes, if Morelos had flung clubfoot to the grpund in the same way he would definitely have been carded.

05 Aug 2019 09:47:03
U r correct seeker re Morelos, I thought he dealt with it well.

04 Aug 2019 22:30:03
Too many of our troops are putting the boot into barisic this evening, if we're honest there wasn't a player on the park today who deserved a jersey so if your going to criticise one, let's criticise them all. I've seen better games on a Sunday afternoon down the Holm Park in Dumfries. I did notice though, that without Kent and Candias, there was no movement down the wings, everything seemed to be going straight through the middle, very worrying considering the amount of success we had down the wings last season. Hopefully just first game of the season jitters and we crack on from here.

05 Aug 2019 09:22:03
Big Ojo seemed to want to constantly cut inside. The only width we got was from the wing backs and Jones when he came on. Bringing Kent in again would make a huge difference.
