Tremendous performance from Rangers today and we were totally dominant at 2-0 up until McCulloch got needlessly sent of.

McCall was again tactically astute as Moshni was immense in the 2nd half, and Rangers were excellent defensively as Hearts found them difficult to breakdown.

We will take one game at a time but McCall has the players working their socks off for each other and playing for the jersey.

Just think its not that long ago that under McCoist we lost three late goals to Alloa, a team utterly destroyed by Livi today in the Petrofac Cup final.

Big thanks to Stuart McCall for giving us some hope again after the utterly pathetic management of McCoist and McDowall.

Op I know mcculloch is looking for a new contract and I hope he gets one,as long as its not with us,but even after he got sent off ,i thought if ever a team looked like scoring it was us ,a load of our players are out of contract at the end of the season and I don't think sny of them should get a new contract at our club, but they are playing really well for mccall,so most are trying to impress in the hope of a new contract ,imo,my honest thoughts are its time for a clear out, every pro player should be bustinga gut everytime they play, something a lot of our old men can't say they done.

I'm glad to see you wining again. Brutal to think you are still paying Amc and mc dowal, I would have thought they would have done the honourable thing by now. Reputation in tatters for a few quid, what happened to doing the right thing and fec the money?(which is probably why I'm a skint expat)
Anyways good to see you winning, I want a strong Rangers just don't expect it sorted overnight. HH

Very fair minded post Joe although I never expected Super Salary to relinquish his fat pay packet just because a new board came into place myself.

Must say I find it disgusting to think he still earns far more from Rangers every week than Stuart McCall, who has to sort out the utter mess left by him.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Apr 2015 12:47:23
HH_Joe,

As far as I am aware, Macdowall has left the club after agreeing a deal. McCoist should be gone by now, for all we know a deal has been done. If he is still receiving a salary, then as you say it is a joke.

Think if we could beat Qos on Thursday second place would be more or less guaranteed. What a difference a few weeks with a decent manager makes.

Believable9 Unbelievable0

06 Apr 2015 13:37:05
Let's hope so, but we can't, and McCall won't allow the players, to get complacent. Having 2 less games to play could make all the difference. One thing for sure, we are hitting form at the right time, long let it continue.

05 Apr 2015 21:35:14
just thinking the queue to get kicked out thhe revolving door at ibrox might not be as big as we have previously thought the way some players have responded to s macall but there are still some certainties as far as I can see the following must go maculloch simosen foster smith daley boyd kyle hutton moshni has played well as has law zalukas miller nick clark runs all over but I think present league is his limit I maybe wrong can't make up my mind about black probably good for the bench(with a wage cut) what does everyone else think

Believable4 Unbelievable2

06 Apr 2015 13:07:35
I'd definitely keep Law and Clark, despite all the criticism Law gets on here he scores goals from midfield, lots of goals. As for Black. bin him. The rest you'vesaid fair enough although have to be careful if we get rid of everyone tthat'sa hell of a lotof new players so would maybe keep Zaliukas. Overall i'd keep Wallace, Bell, Temps, Zal, mcgreggor, law, Clark and Faure and fill the rest with some smart free agents and young boys

06 Apr 2015 13:14:38
Black, you were doing OK for a wile the. black not even as a joke

06 Apr 2015 20:09:59
Why do people want to keep Clark? He isn't good enough to score in the championship so he certainly won't score in the premiership. He can't score goals against the better teams like Hearts and Hibs

Agree0 Disagree1

06 Apr 2015 21:29:02
Stewie- who would you bring in if u don't want to keep Clark?

A big thank you to king and the three bears for giving us our club back but a BIGGER thank you to Mr mcall for giving us our team back!! Still shaky at times but today felt like the rangers I know and love . It meant a lot not having them win on our home turf couldn't stomach another defeat to hearts . Anyone else think haris vuckic is the best thing Ashley has done for us in the time he's been involved? I for one hope to see him in light blue next season should we go up

To Sotonbear.

I hope your grandson (and yourself) enjoyed today and is the start of many visits for him.

I also hope you had a punt at 2.1 and helped pay for your trip.

Dounebear) Thanks mate the wee man had a great day, would also like to thank all the Bears who made him feel so welcome he now believes he's our mascot and if he keeps coming we won't lose another game. And yes we had a really nice touch on 2.1 so decided to stop off at a hotel near Alton towers and make a day of tomorrow as well. Great to see the old place bouncing again today the team spirit has been rejuvenated, didn't actually see what that ned mcculloch did but heard it was elbows so no surprise there. Onwards and upwards great day all round.

I am sure all Bears would like your grandson always to be our lucky mascot.
Re Big Jig yes bang out of order today but mixed emotions due to his loyalty but the end for him is very near and he knows it.
Re Alton Towers wee tip keep off the log fumes before heading home.
Nothing worse than driving home with a wet arse!!

Well done Rangers and Stuart McColl felt good again watching you, listening to the managers after the game Robbie Nelson went down in my estimations Nae Class never said a good word about Rangers all about how great they've been all season, and I'm not taking that away from Hearts with this post but, Mr Nelson to be great manager you have to accept defeat with dignity maybe it's because your a young man that's not had a lot of pressure on you this year. Anyway thank you RANGERS! WATP

05 Apr 2015 20:29:59
He comes across as pretty arrogant anyway. He should be grateful we had an inept management system hamstringing us.

Agree1 Disagree3

06 Apr 2015 00:04:32
First year in management with a young team who ran away with the league and wrapped it up in March. Why should Neilson speak about anything other than his club?! That's not arrogance.
Hearts didn't win the league because of our inadequacies. Congrats to them and Robbie and hopefully we can join them in going up. Massive improvement in fitness, tactics and confidence since McCall came in and Jig suspension is another positive

Agree4 Disagree2

06 Apr 2015 10:06:33
All I'm saying is theirs a way of winning and a way of losing even McColl commented on Hearts even though we won, I'm certainly not taking anything away from them, but will disagree with you on winning the league because of our inadequacies, if they had been challanged all season,we'll never know they might have crumbled. And Scotty I'm with you on the Jig comment Captain Calamity needs to go!

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Apr 2015 12:49:35
I stated he comes across as arrogant, to me at least. I never said it was because of his first year in the job. Look at the way he carries himself, each to their own though.

Agree0 Disagree1

06 Apr 2015 16:21:22
scotty they did win the league due to your inability if we had beaten them in first game they would not have had the confidence that grew as they went and as we seen yesterday they are not the greatest either although we are better we are nothing like the finished article

Agree0 Disagree1

05 Apr 2015 16:27:53
Great day! Sunny warm (although the Copland didn't see any of it!) Good result!

Nicky law seems to have a wee bit more confidence, cgregor solid as per! Clark ran to the ground! Crawford hard solid full of running once on!

We only need 10 men lol

Believable2 Unbelievable1

05 Apr 2015 17:00:28
Clark did run his heart out however surely that's a a minimum requirement? Never really looked like scoring and not the answer going forward. Can't recall him scoring against the better teams like Hearts and Hibs and would struggle to score in the Premiership. Good division 1 striker but no more

Agree3 Disagree6

05 Apr 2015 20:31:38
Not good enough upfront himself but with another striker will maybe help create space for him, made a cracking run early in 2nd half but shot was straight at keeper. But it was showing improvements!

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Apr 2015 22:13:16
Clark workmates is superb but he was a proven goalscorer at Q of South.
Vuckic might be another option up front with Miller.

05 Apr 2015 15:01:25
great result and a big "well done" to everyone except idiot McCulloch.
Also a great turnout, good to see Ibrox rocking again!!

Believable8 Unbelievable0

05 Apr 2015 15:40:28
Agreed. Great to see players who had lost their way under McCoist and McDowell step up to the plate. Is that the same Nicky Law? Two great goals and perhaps there would have been more but for the stupid act of thuggery by the slowest, most out of touch, highest paid player on the pitch. Please no new contract for McCulloch. Otherwise well done the Gers really looking forward to the Motherwell game perhaps our manager can gives us a pointer or two regarding the Steelmen?

Agree4 Disagree0

05 Apr 2015 16:23:09
Spot on wee bill, it looks like we've got our Rangers back, at least on the footballing side. Stuart McCall is giving us back our pride and in doing so, showing mccoist up for his failings. I just hope that our new board can do as good a job on the financial side.
McCall is showing that with tactical ability any manager/coach can maximise the team's ability to perform and gets the best out of their players.
On the subject of McCulloch, irrospective of his contract conditions he should be stripped of the captaincy and given a long rest.

Agree5 Disagree0

05 Apr 2015 16:48:39
As much as the rangers players today deserve tremendous credit for our win over hearts the most credit must go to our manager stuart mccall, what a difference he's made with the exact same players,it just goes to show we have decent players at rangers and a manager who tactically knows what he's doing,we would have walked this league if mccall had been rangers manager at the start of the season,I was there as usual today and ibrox was bouncing, even with 10 men rangers were comfortable, thank you stuart mccall for giving us some good times again and I'm convinced you will take us up now,he's moulded a team that are not even his own players, cheers again slider, you deserve to become our permanent manager!

So a little bit of coaching has shown that there are one or two players at the club. Their goal took the shine off it a little. I noticed someone saying earlier to 'not bother with Hibs'. I disagree, they are going in the right direction for us, it would be a bonus if they did not finish in top 4. 5 points I think between them and 5th.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

05 Apr 2015 16:28:50
Hibs are going in nae direction! There managers tactics nearly as bad as mccoists

A lot of talented players in there team bot being allowed to play due to trying to squeeze the midfield! Fyvie, allan, mcgeough etc. nielson let's his team play Stubbs is too busy trying to match teams for hardness rather than bmplaying football.

Great win, despite lumpheid doing his best to EFF it up. thought all played well. Bell had poor day, needed to come out more. but we had 3 great chances in second half, so alls well.but McCulloch should be the bare arse shooting in target for rest of the season. idiot.

Aye Law played great. And I thought big Moshni was immense! What a difference when these players are prepared to put in a shift for the manager. We'll done Stuart Mccall. I thought he'd booed by taking off Vuckic and later on when he brought on Crawford, but I have to eat my words. Both were great calls. Vuckic could be termed a luxury player and Crawford is quick and has great energy. Big Jig let us down with his reckless actions. He should shake every player's hand as they didn't have save his bacon in the end. On a more cautious note, Hearts looked to be operating in a lower gear and there is still much to be done to get in the top league, but I'm much happier with both the performance and attitude of the players. Looking forward to QofS on Thursday night!

Ayrblue can't agree on this one mate, mccoist tried and was pish, the old board feared sacking him fear of responce,or fear of ehat mccoist could say in regards there shoddy what of milking us,where as mr mccall has experience ie motherwell ,thats where he earned his name as a manager,so I would be pleased if mr mccall got a years rolling contract just like mccoist and mcdowell.

I wonder if the Hibs bubble has finally popped. 3 defeats in a row. The way things are going we might not even have to play them. I've a feeling we could be in for a two legged game against Falkirk followed by another home and away against Motherwell. And I've a strong feeling we'll get the right result against Hearts tomorrow. Wee McCall has got the squad playing for him right now and I think that can make ordinary players (which we mostly have at the moment) do extraordinary things. 3-1 tomorrow

I agree. And McCall can spot a bargain. The one big problem I can see is if he, or whoever is in charge, brings in 6 or 7 players it will take time to gel. And at Rangers we have to hit the road running. If we can get up and then sort out the manager situation quickly, a good pre- season build up could be invaluable in that it will give him time and games to assess the squad he has.
