Followfollow81, thought I would come and say hello as you have visited Celtic site,(just being neighbourly) all your talk of wages, it costs more to come on to our site as we have really high class entertainers like our own wee pat fae posso, Rangers site is so boring, I have to come on every now and again to give you a laugh. hail hail Timalloy
Oh the Rangers are WHYTE, my dears the Rangers are WHYTE hail hail

Good evening seems my post has ruffled a few feathers

This is a rumours site, doesnt say its a facts site.

I posted a rumour I believed to have some substance.

When education is said to be of higher standards why is it so many dont actually read what was posted and misinterpret whats printed in black and white.

Nowhere was anything reported about the club going bust......what i did state was that there was a plan being considered to prevent that state.
Is that not a position we should support or some so blinded they cannot see danger ahead.

I simply suggested a fall back plan that acknowledges a huge debt is under discussion

As usual some around here ignore factual evidence of the tax problem and suggest it is some conspiracy
created in the east end of the city. I have not any alliegance to Mr. Lawell or his club........why do so many of you suffer from dangerous levels of paranoia
that prevents your brains from either focusing or operating with any level of compentance.... This is our problem created by our Board and is for us to resolve.

C.W. has a record in business that suggests hes a realist and does not react out of misplaced emotion or fantasies like some contributors today and so will cover his ass in whatever way he needs.

I think we have put to bed some of comments raised by doubters
Romanov has interests in 2 clubs
6 star Hotels do exist
An Ibrox village need not have a football stadium
Listed Building status can be used in other functions
Glasgow council can benefit by this development
Leyton Orient Supporters would see considerable improvement in its future prospects
There are different levels of expectation in being a success in the SPL and progressing in Europe with associated cost implications to be considered.

Perhaps if we looked at those alleged proposals in clarity rather than with narrow minded bile the benefits may seem clearer. In recent years Businesses have been seen to be inventive and proactive to dramatic change to progress.... surely we too need to accept radical change in difficult trading conditions.

Off now .......not to the padded cell some think i occupy and without the need for substance abuse my detractors have become too reliant upon.

In all sobriety offered you a rumour in good faith
this is no reason to react without considering it with an open mind

If in time this proves to have foundation then you were amongst the first to be aware

Believable0 Unbelievable4

How can we "praise" you later when you never leave a name, that in itself tell us you are spouting RUBBISH Wee Bud

Agree0 Disagree0

I actually found your original post quite interesting but the Ibrox village is highly unlikely the planning application has been rejected several times.

Lmao london rangers haha
We are not welcome in the epl. So rangers and Celtic feel they should be allowed in cos there's no money or comp in the spl ? Why should the English let them in. They would just bring non football comments / politics in the game just look at last season , refs on strike , threats , not good for our game. What about teams like Leeds , forest etc who also have good history they can't get out of the championship. The way forward would be a British super cup , 2 legs home and away. Final changing between hampden , wembly , Cardiff etc that would help poorer clubs get some extra money in tv rights etc.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

The enligsh can't stop it, if someone buys and English club and re-brands them as Rangers.

Jelavic said he wouldn't leave unless it was a top EPL side, he actually used Newcastle as the example of the type of club he won't go to. He's fully commited to Rangers, we've seen how amazing he can be and we've not even seen his best by his own admission. Love the big guy. WATP.

Mr Struth was the second manager of Rangers FC, between the years of 1920 and 1954. Rangers was the only team he was the manager of, and even though he passed away in 1956, the words he spoke more than half a century ago still ring through Ibrox and are relevant today. Perhaps, given the hard times the club is facing currently, we would do well to look back at some of the words spoken by arguably, the ultimate Ranger of all time!

This is the full version of a quote used by many supporters, commonly shortened to “We welcome the chase” but the full quote shows the man for all he was, a Rangers man through and through. This was said when being presented with the famous portrait which to this day sits in pride of place within the Rangers trophy room.

I have been lucky — lucky in those who were around me from the boardroom to the dressing-room. In time of stress, their unstinted support, unbroken devotion to our club and calmness in adversity eased the task of making Rangers FC the premier club in this country. To be a Ranger is to sense the sacred trust of upholding all that such a name means in this shrine of football. They must be true in their conception of what the Ibrox tradition seeks from them. No true Ranger has ever failed in the tradition set him.”
Our very success, gained you will agree by skill, will draw more people than ever to see it. And that will benefit many more clubs than Rangers. Let the others come after us. We welcome the chase. It is healthy for us. We will never hide from it. Never fear, inevitably we shall have our years of failure, and when they arrive, we must reveal tolerance and sanity. No matter the days of anxiety that come our way, we shall emerge stronger because of the trials to be overcome. That has been the philosophy of the Rangers since the days of the gallant pioneers.

Given the divisions which seem to have sprung up between some supporters, maybe the words of Mr Struth should be read and learned. Words spoken many years ago, yet they still stand in the same vein today.

Perhaps I may be permitted to claim that I did not let the old club down. But I must immediately add that my task was made infinitely lighter by the loyalty and support of all those around me and to them I pay homage. No sacrifice was accepted as such so long as it was for the club, no undertaking impossible and no victory for the individual. Because the family spirit within these walls has been nurtured and shielded as a treasured cause.

Again, I urge everyone to read this and learn from Mr Struth, nothing is impossible, and nothing is ever too much to ask when this famous club needs you! Players, officials and fans alike would do well to pay attention to Mr Struth!

I leave you with a quote I read on a daily basis, I have it on my computer desktop along with the Rangers badge. I urge every last one of you to read it, and remember the words.

The glory of The Rangers lies not in never failing but in returning stronger than ever before. due to the challenges overcome. We learn from our past. We cherish our grand story. Our founder, just young lads, set the standards by which The Rangers exist today; hard work, determination, loyalty and above all else, the inherent desire to make Rangers FC the premier club of this fine country. Our greatest days lie ahead, and nothing can stop this old club from achieving it’s goals when all look forward with the same ambition. March on Rangers, for every day we make history, and a glorious history it is!

we all should learn from the great bill struth and give the board n mccoist a chance cause no one person or thing is bigger than thia great club

I reckon we should give wee Fleck a few games up top with Jelavic. They could form a decent partnership. Big Jelavic would probably lay a few on plate for Fleck and a few goals would get the wee mans confidence up again. I think a boost in confidence is just what Fleck needs. Worth a try.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

And if he dosnt score goals after a run of games he becomes another charlie adam and we get on his back

Yip we've got previous for that kinda thing but we've not got many other options at the moment. I think given the chance upfront alongside Jelavic wee Fleck would come on leaps and bounds.

If rangers have to pay there big tax bill for blantant tax avoidance they should be stripped of every title they won during that period as they had a clear advantage in attracting players i.e the players received more money as less was paid to hmrc. Its cheating! Wonder what FIFA would say.

To all Rangers Fans and Ceptic ones gloating,

Do you honestly think that CW bought the club without doing his sums. All those months of due dilligence, ffs give the guy a chance to sort the club out.

FACTS
David Murray wanted 6m for his shares, sold them for a Quid as long as CW dealt with the smaller tax bill, CW is disputing what is owed to the Taxman and this is still on going, Scottish Media making a mountian of a mole as per f*cking usual.

As for the Larger HMRC issue, there are a lot of Clubs ( some very big ones at that) in dispute with HMRC.
For those of you who do not know what it is Rangers and HMRC are in dispute over, this includes all of the East End Manky Mob, Its taxation of Image rights.
The method became common practice at many big clubs in Britain from the late 1990s, when some players set up companies to receive image rights payments which supplemented their salary. While the top rate of their salary was taxed at 40 per cent (now 50 per cent) the image-rights payments would often be untaxed if paid to offshore companies.
CW has said Rangers will "robustly" defend the case on the basis of expert tax advice.
clubs who properly valued the image rights should have little to fear, Rangers believe that have valued the image rights correctly and have no case to answer, time will tell on that I guess.

The desperate dims, making pash up about the stadium having to be sold, eh. get real ya muppets, 3.5 million pounds renovation of the ground is underway, dont believe that, then go and walk by the staduim and look, and whilst your there, compare it to your breeze block cardboard sh*t Hole and it will tell you all you need to know about the top team in Scotland, even in its dilapitated state, it still outshines your ces pit, a true Icon of Glories Past and Present. 4iar

Believable7 Unbelievable1

See when am looking at your 3.5m renovations will i just ignore the posters over the tv screens?? Oh thats right they will be sorted in due course lol mugs! A lick of paint and your foaming at the mouth cant wait till you go bust.. And you had better wise up to the fact thats exactly where your headed!

Who are the very BIG clubs who are also having disputes with HMRC? and did Mr Whyte not say he was spending £2m on the renovation of the stadium.

Fellow bears - it's common knowledge that the old firm games attract the 2nd largest SKY TV viewing figures only behind the Man Utd v Liverpool games. SKY get 4 or 5 old firm games a season, 2 man utd v Liverpool games potentially 3 with a cup game but a lot less likely. The old firm matches make up 50% of sky's 'top ten' games for viewing figures yet we receive peanuts from them.

It's about time we stop feeling sorry for ourselves and start working with sky to develope our game. Sky could make us great but we need to negotiate with them and use facts like this to try and get more money- even if the clubs across the SPL were getting 7 - 10m a season we would see a competitive spl, we need to get sky bought into this. We f***ed our real chance with sky when they were offering 120m deal and we went with setanta for 125m! Fair doo's 5m difference but setanta were losing 150m per year so someone should have known this, sky then offered us the posh we are on now - 60m and they knew we had no option. We need to build on things with sky, I'm sure they would want it more competitive 100%

Jas

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Your Spot on Jas I was thinking about this the other Day - Why do we get a pitance from Sky - ESPN. There are more people watching Scottish football in England than view the dross games blackpool v wolves wigan v burnley etc etc .. It;s not fair

Agree0 Disagree0

The guy has a point

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree mate, Although i can't see Sky investing more money across the board when all they are interested in are Old Firm games and the odd Edinburgh derby. Us and that mhob should just look after ourselves. We wanted to go with Sky initially and the rest stuck two fingers up at us.

Agree0 Disagree0

I do agree with you mate wee need our game changed wee need a bit of xcitment in this country i don't want to be watching Kirk barefoot for the rest of my life

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason we get a pittance is down to the other member clubs being greedy and choosing to go with setanta when rangers, Celtic and aberdeen wanted to go with sky, when setanta went bust sky vastly reduced their offer as they were holding all the cards and we are now feeling the full force of that reduction

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe it would take a boycott of sky to realise how many viewers they get from rangers and smeltic - another thing - the OF fans need to pay for Sky sports, espn and fecking premier sport! It's a joke our teams get so little and our fans pay for all these channels- I bet fans of epl teams only have one channel - sky! Sort it out

Agree0 Disagree0

We should cancel deal and shoe it on rangers tv charge every rangers Celtic fan around the world even 1pound and the tv rights would go through the roof..sky/espn whoever else extort large amounts welcome to the capitalist world take it back lads take it back it's all corrupt nowadays champions league isn't the champions league anymore.win the title and yer not automaticly in group is just sooo crooked it's farscical ints a bad dream...WATP....

It's glaringly obvious that there are 2 players who would have cost very little by way of transfer fees and would no doubt walk up to play for Rangers. These are 2 players whose qualities we desperately need. Barry Ferguson & Kevin Phillips. We could have signed both for a combined total of about £700k as Phillips was a free.

Ferguson, in his deeper role that he's played for Birmingham & now Blackpool would have allowed Davis to get forward and Barry's range of passing and work rate in that area mean he would stroll through games. He's a leader and a calming influence on teams and has been at least an 8/10 every week for 2 years in the EPL.

Phillips is 38, but would score 25+ up here no problem. His movement is first class and he can link the play as well. Would have been great partner for Jelavic.

Agree0 Disagree0

We do its called season ticket money

Agree0 Disagree0

I have stated previously on this page changes need made, I agree with you, we need to take advantage of our fanbase to be great again. I would scrap the season ticket system all together, our fans buy them to guarantee the OF games but can't make it to every game of the season due to work etc, which results in many ppl feeling they have wasted money. Go back to ticket only/pay at turnstile and offer incentives on suspected low turnout games to get fans in the door. I would also give 1 free child ticket for every paying adult to encourage families to see football over the weekend rather than go snowboarding at xscape

I know this will be a little off topic but there is no international forums-and I assume most scottish rangers fans follow Northern Ireland a wee bit aswell.

Anyway, not that I am against Nigel Worthington or anything, he is a real nice man, but Northern Ireland aren't really going anywhere in terms of qualification are they?

We were coming home from the Serbia game the other night listening to 5 live radio. They were asking who we'd like to see as next manager.

A guy came on and said Brendan Rodgers (Swansea) or Walter Smith-I thought this would make sense, would do a great job as he did at the Gers, and he did say that just because he is finished at Rangers doesn't mean he is retired from management.

Any thoughts people, or any suggestions? Who would you like to see as Northern Ireland manager.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Neil Lemon?

Lets not get drawn in to supporting another country. Rangers are a Scottish team, the supporters are for the biggest part, Scottish. We support Scotland and no other counry. Not like our rivals who have an indentity crisis.

Celtic fan here, any other Celtic fans on here gloating about Rangers tax situation need to get a grip. We havn't won the league in 3 years. We have nothing to gloat about. Altho im glad we're back in europe it will be a real challenge for a squad that cudn't win the league last season without the distraction of europe. Once we start winning things again then we can come on here and wind these lads up. Rangers are mess internally but they have still done it ON THE FIELD where it truly matters.

Just watched a programme about volcano's on the discovery channel. Believe me I had to rewind my sky box and pause to confirm my eye's weren't deceiving me. But I am now sure I seen a window on the volcano, through that window sat Craig Whyte sitting at a desk with a white Persian cat on his lap! He was stroking the cat and talking to a guy with a patch over one of his eyes. I find it amazing that so many people have set themselves up as judge and jury regarding rangers tax case with hmrc. All businessmen/companies employ accountants to help minimise their tax burden ( including the suddenly "moral highground" minded at celtic park) . Every single business in the world tries to minimise their tax burden using off shore accounts etc, mr desmond may or may not have many.
This is just another case of kicking the old firm dog which is down. In a few years or months im positive celtic will have a situation they would rather keep under wraps but the rangers fans will give it a good kicking.......and so it goes on!

i would like to see a bit less negative posts on here....

with this hmrc case obvs picking up we all need to trust whyte in the handling of it, at the end of the day he took this mess on with the view of fixing it.

we were all disapointed in the transfer policy however i think now that the latest tax story has broke we werent in a position to spend... i personally think we have bought well considering who we have in and for the amount we actually spent. lets see how the issue is dealt with and what happens.

now super ally. seriously get off his back, out of anyone we could have had to manage us nobody will bring the same love or passion for the club, yes he will make errors tactically and yes maybe he has no experience but he had the balls to take this massive job on and he will come good. the guy will get the players playing just give him time.
give him time, we have played 3 games, still 35 to go! i am sure if he didnt think he was capable he would stand down now, get off his back. no matter what you think you all know about football 61 int caps and 581 appearances for rangers, think that means he knows a little more about foootball that the ones slating him!

lets get behind the club as a whole and stop bitching and moaning as this negative crap transfers from the stands to the pitch so stop moaning and keep following on

Rangers supporters on here keep saying its only their team that has helped Scotlands coefficient.
ALL Scotlands teams have contributed, Rangers run to the final in manchester has helped over last 5 years, but equally went CELTIC got to Seville it was CELTIC'S coefficient that was better, any hear is a breakdown over last 5 years of coefficient points and what will happen THIS year.
Rangers- 22.05, 3.75,6.53,12.72 and 1.72
CELTIC - 12.05, 7.37,5.53, 2.2 and 1.72
Now Rangers drop the 22.05 giving them this years total of 21 points plus 2 draws this year
CELTIC drop 12.05 giving them a total of 16 plus this years coefficient points, if UEFA ruling is upheld CELTIC will gain a further 2 wins coefficient points plus a minimum of 2 coefficient points for group stages, this will take CELTIC within 3 points of rangers and if CELTIC win their 3 home games then CELTIC will overtake rangers coefficient total .
Timalloy, here dealing in FACTS LOL

Believable4 Unbelievable0

So what happens if Celtic don't win 3 home games?

Agree0 Disagree0

So, that makes it another backdoor triumph then ? Second at best, is all you lot will ever be.............. indeed you are, a DHIM Lol, Rangers 'til I die

Agree0 Disagree0

CELTIC will still be on almost same mark as rangers points wise, so all this stuff about only rangers lifting scotland coefficient is nonsense hail hail Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop telling lies timalloy. I emailed the champions league/ Europa league judicator and he told me to tell you your talking poo poo. Yous will need to win 8 games to catch Rangers points total. Plus Celtic don't get any point from getting in the back door against Sion. All this talk will come back and bite yous all in the bum. Watch this space. lol.

Genuinely want Diouf to sign. How good buisness would that be? Beattie's wages out, Diouf a replacement... a 10x better player than Beattie replacing him.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

I liked him he could hold the ball up and pick a pass, better than ortiz by a long way would be a good addition also winds the septic up.

i want to wish celtic all the best in europe this season, if they get a good run it will go a long way to help scotland in the rankings. people need to remember that rangers and celtic are nothing without each other, and if one of these clubs were to vanish the other would die too!

Believable4 Unbelievable1

I couldn't give a s**te what celtic do I want them 2 get pumped in any competition they are in what people seem 2 forget is that RANGERS and ceptic will never die as it wouldn't be allowed 2 happen the mankys can come on here with all there bulls**t stories but the facts are if we where as f***ed as they would have you beleive then MR WHYTE would not have sanctioned the new contracts for players he would not have spent any money in transfer market not much spent but he spent so as I say the mankys have done nothing 2 help the co-effs in recent years and they won't now and I hope they get pumped the media can't wait 2 tell you about our poor record in europe but we have in recent years got draws against good teams which has kept scotlands co-effs up as automatic champs league position next year shows this was not down 2 any other team in scotland just us RANGERS.

Hey, just wondering if anyone knows if Rangers will have a 'club specific cover' for the new FIFA 12 game. Fulham, Derby and Man City have all announced they will so I was thinking if rangers did then would it mean some money for them?Just a thought

for those who dont know : fifasoccerblog.com/blog/fifa-12-club-specific-covers/
