Keep on hearing and reading about how much we've spent this season can anybody give me our total spend on players as I don't think it a high amount !

05 Oct 2015 08:43:15
We are probably still saving in wages compared to last season lol.

05 Oct 2015 10:42:29
from what I remember the cost is around 850k. also saving money on wages aswell. not bad for having more or less a full new squad.

05 Oct 2015 14:58:11
Not sure heard last years squad was getting paid peanuts as they were all monkeys...sorry but reality was there were getting paid in pies and there training on fifa 15

05 Oct 2015 10:19:09
Still the second highest budget in Scottish Football

05 Oct 2015 17:36:22
What did you expect Stef? We are Rangers!

06 Oct 2015 13:39:21
is not the fact we are rangers that we have the second highest wage bill, it's the fact we have around 45k a week at ibrox, we can afford it.

07 Oct 2015 08:10:39
Our wages are still nothing compared to celtics lol

04 Oct 2015 19:34:49

King won't be spending loads of money because that is not Warburtons way he will spend the way it should be spent on players that fit into his views and system and want to play and win for rangers every players in our team want to do well for rangers and have a point to prove that they can make it on wards and up wards

Not the best performance of the season yesterday but was delighted at the guys' attitude, especially Tav and Waggy. Even though they weren't at their best you could see the frustration coming out, especially at one point in the second half when I thought Waggy was going to burst a blood vessel as he charged about trying to get a hold of the ball! Great to see and a fantastic free kick from Tav to make it 2-1. I guess it's right what they say - I heard Ray Wilkins say it again recently - when you play for the club you are then a supporter for life.

Special mention also for Dean Shiels. Treated abysmally by Ally and Co, I thought he was terrific. A very good player, but then, we all knew that, didn't we?

Good post Seeker, couldn't agree more. Well said.
Nice to see a bit of passion back in the team.

04 Oct 2015 09:55:50
Losing 3-1 to St Johnstone maybe wasn't quite as bad as we thought at the time following their 5-1 thrashing of Aberdeen at Pittodrie. Good to grind out another win yesterday to make it 9 out of 9. Before W&W we would have lost to Falkirk and probably two or three other games this season. My main concern is central defence and too much reliance on Tavernier and Waghorn for goals. Great to see goals coming from all over the pitch though and I think Tavernier must be the signing of the season anywhere!

04 Oct 2015 15:44:35
The centre backs are a lot better than most in Scotland with the exception of a few, the way we play we could have kompany and Ramos and still concede goals.

04 Oct 2015 09:10:54
Well St Johnstone hammering Aberdeen yesterday certainly puts are defeat in the cup into perspective

04 Oct 2015 13:36:02
yes and it took us to the last 10 minutes to beat a team that was thrashed 7;0 by a team ( ross county) that most on here wouldn't class as anything special ( player, budget or facilities wise)...perspective..only if it suits your thinking!!!

04 Oct 2015 13:53:40
So your not happy with the start of season then johnny

04 Oct 2015 14:37:25
I didn't say that. just fed up of people on here wanting to make up excuses when it suits their agenda when the best team on the day wins it happens no need to comment weeks down the line when results of other teams that actually mean nothing to rangers are highlighted to make some nonsensical point.

04 Oct 2015 16:41:19
Johnny G, wind your neck in or I'll pass your details to Ronnie Pickering.

04 Oct 2015 18:44:00
Johny g.....listen ross county may not be a huge club so they don't have the finance but what they do have is there own training facilities plus indoor training pitch also astro turf pitch all based with in there facility also there youth teams train and play there so for there managment team its easy to watch and train the youth tell me what other clubs in scotland have that.....ok ill tell u rangers and celtic and that it.all the other clubs train on public pitches.rent out pitches train on athletics grounds which they rent and when the hard frost of winter comes then these clubs can be left in a bit of limbo.every1 knows when they play rangers its there cup final especialy when were unbeaten in the league.sign of a good team is when they don't play great an still win.lets turn that frown upside down lol and smile......for now
