Hamilton beat the under 20's 4:0 and hibs look like they are in the cup quarters. Should we be concerned?

05 Nov 2015 10:13:39
we should not be to concerned after all we have 5pt lead the next hibs game is at ibrox if i was a hibs supporter i would be far more cocerned about us we just need more of the same starting saturday.

06 Nov 2015 14:51:46
Concerned? 5 clear after a third of the season, why would we be concerned? Hibs will falter, Stubbs might even be off to QPR, or even to the towers, we have players who can change games in 2mins, and more to come, concerned? Not yet mate
Tommy.

04 Nov 2015 20:17:01
Anyone think Dean Shiels might be worth a go at the main striker position? Obviously he has played there at times in his career as well as in the behind the strikers role.

04 Nov 2015 19:28:47
he may not be Pele, Maradonna or Messi but Rory McAllister knows a goal when he sees one, and in my humble opinion, given the chance he would be a scoring machine for us up front with Waghorn IN ANY LEAGUE.

04 Nov 2015 20:30:18
I think he's had offers though and wants to remain part-time.

04 Nov 2015 20:49:17
Where does he currently play?

{Ed039's Note - peterhead)

04 Nov 2015 22:59:51
I got shot down in flames a few weeks back when I suggested Cummings from hibs would have been worth a punt as he wasn't Rangers class apparently, now we are saying RORY MCALLISTER fae Peterhead could be the answer! oh dear.

05 Nov 2015 00:47:30
Djab take a look at his scoring record. with those figures he must have something better that the strikeforce we currently have, also there is nothing wrong with Cummings, and i for one did NOT shoot you down in flames.

05 Nov 2015 05:02:16
Said the same thing about Nicky Clark. Scoring record at this level doesn't mean anything until you can prove you can play under the weight of expectation. plus he's 28 so that's a non start anyway. Play Hardie for handful of games rather than looking outside of Murray park.

05 Nov 2015 07:40:04
Two players mentioned are sound but there is 30million in the pot! I'm sure Rangers cab sign a quality striker in January to nail promo for next season.

05 Nov 2015 12:35:58
Djab, it was one guy who raised McAllister? As an option.

05 Nov 2015 13:44:05
we bill we signed nicky clark best goalscorer in championship. He tries very hard but so far has not made it at ibrox.

05 Nov 2015 14:34:37
Clark was a one hit wonder who has done nothing since, I agree, McCallister is the type of proven goalscorer who has proven it for a few seasons and that might be worth a go.

05 Nov 2015 19:31:12
BIGWULL i think Clark might have come good if he had been given a proper run when he was signed at first, but others were given preference to him and he became an also ran with no self confidence, he was scoring for fun for QOS and WAS a great striker, but as you well know, Rangers have been famed for wasting talented players over the years. Our previous management are to blame for Clark's demise.

04 Nov 2015 13:25:16
People are talking about administration but we have just employeda backroom team that would not happen if we were . stop the doom and gloom we are top have a good young team that will get better and now have a management team that will be great and all in 5 months I think that is pretty good x.

04 Nov 2015 13:11:36
M3lvo read the whole story king says this is the figures before he gained control of the club and he's very excited about next years figures and although we made a loss its less of a loss than last time so we are heading in the right direction as for the loss it was going to happen at somepoint not going to win every match and the tax case will not affect the club at all so head up watp.

04 Nov 2015 13:36:12
Scotty, I wonder what the results would have been had DK had not been instrumental in backing the season ticket and merchandising protests. We then had the follow on losses from matchday income, so he did affect the figures, in my opinion.

04 Nov 2015 17:08:46
Billy, I honestly think the results would've been the same. There is a fraud case against the previous incumbents for a very good reason. We just might have noticed greater director bonuses, payments to certain 'advisors' or affiliated companies taking up the difference any additional season ticket sales would've made in the accounts once/if they were published. It's one of the many ways money vanished from the club coffers over the last few years if you read through the accts. Just my opinion of course, not an accusation based on evidence of wrongdoing. That falls on the prosecution to prove. :-)

04 Nov 2015 20:40:55
billy, you are right in what you say i did not approve of kings tactics but we were paying for directors from newcastle, a board who took large salaries, McCoist, players with inflated contracts and red rotten football loan signings from newcastle. so all in all we are better off with real backroom staff etc. the one thing i will say again the easdales never took any money from the club, but we are definitely far better of financially.

04 Nov 2015 21:10:46
Bigwull, I am not disputing we are better off, all I am saying is that King caused additional grief with his stance, thus cost the club to suffer.
Quite simply, more bums on seats, more income and therefore a reduced loss situation. Similarly, if there was no boycott on SD, there would have been more income for the club.

05 Nov 2015 07:38:20
BillYb king had to take a stance it had to be done the club was getting run into the ground and imo working hard to get the club in the right direction ma is pocketing most of the money for shirt sales that's y sd is getting boycotted why should we line his pockets a think all this nonsense is just getting hype in our corrupt media and its getting sorted behind the scenes so don't think we have anything to worry about.

04 Nov 2015 11:53:56
Lose to Hibs, MA trying to jail DK, lose the big tax case, MA and his F##K KING hats, and now £7.5m losses posted, feel like am stuck in a time warp, was good vibes for a while but now back to all the negative carry on front page headlines instead of back. Turning back to the Circus again. I wish this would sort its self out. Was enjoying just the football there for a while but now back to all this shi*e again.

04 Nov 2015 12:02:04
Do people expect us to make a profit? Obviously we are losing money, the papers make it out like it wasn't expected and our fans and celtic fans jump on it like a couple of dugs wae beetroot.

04 Nov 2015 12:37:03
get a grip m3lvo, lose to hibs, still 5pts clear. MA trying to jail DK, you said it trying. 7.5ml loss, we all knew there was losses and main shareholders say they will fund. Just try and see what you are watching (or are you? ) compared to last year.

04 Nov 2015 12:47:37
Cee an lw the point I am trying to make is I was enjoying just the football minus the circus act regarding everything else, was good not to have all the sh*te but this week it is all starting to rear its ugly head again. the last few year of front page news was enough to last a life time.

04 Nov 2015 12:40:52
Cee, I love that phrase, not heard it in ages, thanks for making me smile in among the "not so positive" news.

04 Nov 2015 12:48:51
Does the Ashley hate DK so much that he wants him in jail for Xmas? Strange business tactics.

04 Nov 2015 15:12:06
Great news about the Big Tax Case, a victory for the honest tax paying clubs. Basically this confirms what we new all along. Recruited better players that you could not afford if they had abide by tax laws. Hence you cheated the system to gain an unfair sporting advantage. This is similar to performance enhancing drugs in sport, you cannot break these rules to gain a sporting advantage and if your caught doing so you get banned and titles removed!

Wonder what will happen here.

04 Nov 2015 16:17:02
Dancer what you worried about titles and that for, you are a Falkirk fan.

04 Nov 2015 16:22:43
Dancer you are a bit of a chancer. The BTC decision was the opinion of judges sitting on the second appeal panel. Have you forgotten about the opinions of the many other judges who found in favour of Rangers at the previous hearings. I suppose not because those decisions were not conducive with your petty hatred for all things Rangers. Also the over riding thing about the decision was it was based on " common sense". As far as I'm aware the decision should have been based on the Law. If judicial decisions were based on common sense then surely OJ Simpson would have went down. This decision will not affect Rangers financially or the great progress we are making building an exciting, free flowing, entertaining football team so don't come on here regurgitating your sporting integrity card we have more important things to be getting on with.

04 Nov 2015 16:27:04
Listen mate, diddy team supporter as well. There was no precedent until today that EBT's breached Tax laws. Celtic gave Juninho an EBT and Neil Lennon and Allan Thompson were involved in another tax avoidance scheme through a fake film company.

In 1997–98 Falkirk should have been relegated to the third tier of Scottish football but were saved because Airdrie went bust so don't come on here giving it the big sporting integrity grabo. We will be in Europe next year while your still stuck playing Alloa on a raining Wednesday night in a shabby town.

04 Nov 2015 16:29:37
FYI, The lord Nimmo Smith report was final on the matter of unfair advantage and the governing bodies have already previously confirmed all titles and merits would stand. so simmer down and go research it before you post on here trying to noise us up.

04 Nov 2015 17:11:41
dancer, how on God's Earth can paying people to play football relate to taking drug? Do you not understand the difference? The players were paid, not drugged.

04 Nov 2015 17:46:54
Dancer: Nothing will happen there, took them long enough to come to the decision, had to get us at some point to appease the media and fans like you.

04 Nov 2015 18:53:16
Airdrie went bust in 2002.
It was brought about by David Murray calling in a debt owed to one of his companies.
I think you could call that ironic.
Falkirk were saved by a fans movement. We realise how close we came to extinction and would not wish that on any club. Show some respect to others Arte et Marte .

04 Nov 2015 19:24:33
A Bairn please ensure you have the right person when you accuse someone of disrespect. I never mentioned your club in my post.

04 Nov 2015 20:02:43
I posted an apology almost immediately after I realised my error.
it has not been added yet.
once again I do apologise. I'm not normally on here but like to browse other clubs forums now and then to get an idea of the feelings of others in Scottish football. I had misread the placement of the poster's name.

04 Nov 2015 20:44:23
A Bairn apology appreciated and accepted.

04 Nov 2015 20:46:30
and who was falkirks biggest creditor? correct, hmrc what for? non payment of p.a.y.e., not a whole lot of difference.

05 Nov 2015 14:05:39
DANCER

The appeal decision is obviously beyond your comprehension and you relied on the Biased Broadcasting Corporation for your info;

1- The judge was flawed when he said his decision was based on 'common sense'. The law is based on THE LAW not common sense as anyone who has ever gone to court will tell you.

2- Whether you like it or not, whether these trusts were unfair or not, THEY WERE LEGAL AT THE TIME.

06 Nov 2015 00:46:38
I think you'll find the learned judges ( there were 3 ) were making the point that both law AND common sense overlapped here. Loudest cannot be capricious in their findings and they must be based on sound legal interpretations. This was the Court of Session - Scotland's highest court. It was not Lord Ni, mo Smith passing a PERSONAL verdict. If you read the judgement the higher Court destroys the fantasy concocted by Nimmo Smith.

06 Nov 2015 00:47:42
Why did predictive text print 'loudest' in my last post? Gggrrr.

04 Nov 2015 11:11:12
more nonsense about Ashley, more nonsense about the HMRC appeal, £7.5 million loss announced, delayed share issue .
All in all, negativity surrounds the club once again, like it or not.
I expect to see some kind of knock on effect in our performances as it has been proved that negative press eventually gets to the dressing room. It affects all clubs who incur this sort of press
Hope i am wrong, it wound be a shame after all the good work that Warburton has done so far.

04 Nov 2015 12:04:54
why is it nonsense? this is the problem on here any bad news is treated as an attack by timmy media or ashleys spin doctors IF any of it is true and it looks likely as it is being reported on several sources, turning a blind eye or head in sand routine does not make it go away. this is the time we need openness and transparency from the high ups and not just soundbites the support needs information and need it NOW.

04 Nov 2015 14:49:21
Think wee bill meant bad news when he typed nonsense, johnny.
Not nonsense in a rubbish/ lies context. I think he knows its very real, as do I, but doesn't want it affecting the playing side. And no, I'm not his spokesperson before you ask.

04 Nov 2015 15:01:19
Feck me lads and lassies. Who cares what happened with tax case that's the old clubs issue not ours I doesn't in the least affect us. The loss is a lot less than it has been in previous years and yes we got beat by hibs but we are still top all great teams get beat. Ashley is trying everything he can to bring us down as he knows its all going to go tits up for him.

04 Nov 2015 17:03:51
cheers gkk glad to see you got the point i was making. All the negative stuff gets tiring after a while but it must filter down to the players at some point.

04 Nov 2015 17:43:47
Us auld yins think alike wee bill. lol.

04 Nov 2015 09:51:22
regarding the comment Aldair posted in reply to my post on Ashley and Sports Direct. have you seen the latest mate can you see how low Ashley is prepared to go. to actually invite a man for peace talks when you have no intention of peace all your intention is to destroy him. did you see the hats sport direct are selling. this man is out to destroy Rangers or anybody that tries to stop him exploiting people. no doubt Craig Houston will be his next target. so i put it to you Aldair WHAT SHOULD WE DO? do what we do best absolutely nothing just sit back and bathe in the glory of beating teams like morton 5-1 losing to hibs ect won't destroy us losing to Ashley will.
