Well bears here is the facts about the manky mob

Celtic have struggled for results but their disciplinary record so far is remarkable.
Below is the number of fouls committed per yellow card received in the SPL so far this season. On average a yellow card is received every 6.79 fouls, however one club is getting penalised much less than all the others.

1 - Celtic - 13.00 fouls per booking
2 - Dundee Utd - 7.94 fouls per booking
3 - Rangers - 7.28 fouls per booking
4 - Aberdeen - 6.54 fouls per booking
5 - Motherwell - 6.44 fouls per booking
6 - Inverness CT - 6.21 fouls per booking
7 - Dunfermline - 6.05 fouls per booking
8 - Kilmarnock - 5.95 fouls per booking
9 - Hibs - 5.86 fouls per booking
10 - Hearts - 5.70 fouls per booking
11 - St Mirren - 5.29 fouls per booking
12 - St Johnstone - 5.17 fouls per booking

If we now look at the average booking per fouls in home games only, one club's average is again significantly more favourable than any other team in the league.

1 - Celtic - 15.67 fouls per booking
2 - Dundee Utd - 8.90 fouls per booking
3 - Rangers - 8.67 fouls per booking
4 - Aberdeen - 7.89 fouls per booking
5 - Kilmarnock - 7.80 fouls per booking
6 - Inverness CT - 6.46 fouls per booking
7 - St Johnstone - 6.45 fouls per booking
8 - Hearts - 6.29 fouls per booking
9 - Hibs - 6.18 fouls per booking
10 - Motherwell - 6.00 fouls per booking
11 - Dunfermline - 5.69 fouls per booking
12 - St Mirren - 5.00 fouls per booking

And finally, looking at away games, and again one club's average is much more favourable than anyone elses:

1 - Celtic - 11.86 fouls per booking
2 - Motherwell - 6.89 fouls per booking
3 - Dunfermline - 6.83 fouls per booking
4 - Rangers - 6.58 fouls per booking
5 - Dundee Utd - 6.57 fouls per booking
6 - Inverness CT - 5.91 fouls per booking
7 - Aberdeen - 5.82 fouls per booking
8 - Hibs - 5.65 fouls per booking
9 - St Mirren - 5.54 fouls per booking
10 - Kilmarnock - 5.41 fouls per booking
11 - Hearts - 5.08 fouls per booking
12 - St Johnstone - 4.08 fouls per booking

It's silly to draw conclusions at this stage of the season - and also difficult in a general sense as multiple tackles will go unpunished as harmless but one bad foul will lead to a caution - but when one considers that both Glasgow sides finished last season with an average FPB (fouls per booking) of between 6.5 and 6.9 the huge difference so far this term is worthy of comment. Tony the Ger, Germinator all your talk of coefficients, Celtic not deserving to be in europe, one thing you will NEVER equal is Glasgow Celtic FC European Champions, Murray tried to cheat and buy this trophy and not only failed MISERABLY but he has now got you into so much trouble with the tax man you will be lucky to be in any european competition for next 3 years hail hail Timalloy
Oh and this team Simpson, Craig, Gemmel, Murdoch, McNeil, Clark, Johnstone, Wallace, Chalmers, Auld and Lennox will NEVER be bettered LOL

For goodness sake Timalloy give it a rest BLAH BLAH same old same old you really must have a brain the size of a peanut Celtic won the European Cup 44 years ago its history and thats all it is now so for christs sake live in the real world now and all you can go on is assumptions with HMRC so change the record, unless you have something sensible to say or some new material dont bother coming on this page and dont go thinking your winding us GERS fans because it takes someone with intellagence to do that which you lack so do your self and many others stick to the manky mob page ya turnip.

Anyone can have a good year... To be fair it was a wonderfull achievement and is in the history books. As are our titles etc. To say we will NEVER win the "Champions League" is akin to you saying you wont either. Id like to think in another country, in another time, in another universe etc. the old firm will be genuinely powerfull once more. We can all hope I guess. With Euro leagues being talked about Im sure one day the "World League" will exist. Whos to say with the world wide support enjoyed by the old firm we might be the big players? Lol. I wish... We'd still be the team being chased mind :) CheltBlue

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think its basically a case of "If its not broke, don't fix it"

Agree2 Disagree0

Kerkar hasn't showed up in games, he looks slow and clumsy. McKay on the other hand looks sharp and oozes class. I'd like to see Kerkar put out on loan because he obviously has something to have had his contract extended and McKay should be starting 11 everytime for me.

Mcckay is barely making the bench though.

As for the debate on an Old Firm select side. Not one Celtic player would be good enough to get in this Rangers side. Anybody disputing this well i ask how many points are you behind us and what have you won in terms of title's in the last 3 seasons, thats right hee haw. Rangers play as a team and fight for each other like a team should. The only thing Celtic players are usually fighting for is breath, nae guts, nae bottle no good enough. Sorry Bhoys but you can stick yer pishy players where the sun don't shine.

Gerry The Ger.

Believable11 Unbelievable1

Here here Gerry the Ger , they just can't seem to see past themselves, but that is why they are runners up on a consistant basis, chasing since 1888 !! 4 in a row

Agree6 Disagree1

Gerry... Another post because your sion post got shot down.

Right for a start why would they want to be in a rangers side when EPL teams are sniffing about them? We have had alot of jip so far team wise players not playing there best etc.a full fit Celtic side would have in it izzy kayal hooper commons stokes ledley in it. (in my eyes) ask jelly fish this who had the best strike rate in Britain last year? 20 goals in 26 games ? Gary hooper. Oh & he was 4th in Europe btw behind da Natalie ronaldo n messi.

Could keep posts like this all night but am headin out.

Just quickly tho

Mcgreggor
Izzy the 2 rangers cb Wilson
Commons Forrest ledley Davis
Hooper jellyfish

Just done that off the top of my head would maybe change it a little.

Lenny

Agree1 Disagree3

Brilliantly put Gerry the Ger. WATP.

Agree3 Disagree0

Did my Sion post get shot down Lenny? I don't think it did. The ed quite rightly pointed out the wording on my post was incorrect and as such i held my hands up. I will say Celtic did nothing wrong but the fact remains Celtic don't merit being in the Europa league. Sion broke the rules and allowed Celtic back in on a technicallity through their own stupidity. Did Celtic qualify off their own back? No. So its certainly nothing to boast about. Champions for the last 3 years whilst being skint and under enermous pressures, i think that is something to boast about. And finally i hope Celtic do well in Europe and bring our co-efficient back up. I back any Scottish team in Europe, i just love to Celtic fail at everything else.

Gerry The Ger.

Agree5 Disagree0

Funnily enough have to disagree with a fair bit of this team, and even though you did mostly pick Celtic players you still managed to play most of them out of position. Taking last year's and this years form into consideration as you seem to have allready done i'd go with :

McGregor
Whittaker Goian Bocanegra Izzy
Naismith Kayal Davis Forrest
Hooper Jelavic

Could be tempted to swap Izzy and Papac as he's more solid.

TBH only celtic players i'd take at the moment are Forrest and Hooper

Scoobs

Agree0 Disagree0

Which clubs are sniffing about this lot from the EPL Lenny? I'll give you that Redknapp has confirmed an interest in Forrest. Has he made a bid though? No. As for the others its all paper talk and speculation mate. Have Celtic or any of these clubs that are supposedly interested confirmed a definite bid? These will be the same player's that have you 12 points behind in the league and have left their manager on the brink of the sack. Oh aye the teams must be lining up for them.

Gerry The Ger.

Agree3 Disagree0

Lol me too but with rangers.

Aye 3 in a row know ifs or buts about it, but I think the 9 in a row saga is going to cost you a 4th year at the top also whyte will shortly turn brown.

Lenny

Agree0 Disagree0

Lenny i hope Scott Brown's no reading your last post. He will be s**ting himself at the though of Whyte trying to turn him lol.

Gerry The Ger.

Agree0 Disagree0

Right lads.

I don't think its possible to pick which players from Rangers and Celtic you would have in one team.

First of all I think there are only three Celtic players I would have in the team.

McGregor
Whittaker Goian Boca Papac
Naismith Davis Brown Wylde
Stokes Jelavic

This is isn't a biased opinion. I just think Rangers have the better players, especially in midfield and defence.

Why break up the best defence and midfield in the league lol? POINTLESS.

TonyTheGer

Agree1 Disagree0

Kayal or hooper wid not get in the team hooper is a fat kris boyd an kayal aint interested

Agree1 Disagree0

Strongest Old Firm team for me is...

1.McGregor

2.Whittaker
4.Goian
5.Bocanegra
3.Izaguirre

7.Brown

6.Kayal
11.Naismith

Gotta laugh at all these Celtic fans coming on here thinking they are great again after one result in a competition they have no right to be in. Lenny asking "Would Rangers beat Rennes?" Lmao. We humped Celtic 4-2 going on 8-2 and are 12 points clear in the only competition that matters and despite Naisy being out we will tear them a new one in the next OF game as well. Mon the Well this weekend.

Gerry The Ger. {Ed014's Note - Would you care to explain why Celtic have no right be in the Europa League because all us Editors are getting a bit bored explaining why Sion were expelled for knowingly breaking rules that they agreed to by entering the competition in the first place.Sion cheated,that is the fact of the matter and were quite rightly kicked out,they knew the rules,knew the consequences of breaking them and yet still done it.Celtic done nothing wrong.Sion cheated and broke the rules,that is it.}

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Quite rightly what i should have said ed is they don't merit being in it.

Gerry The Ger. {Ed001's Note - well that is a different point, many people would say the same about all Scottish sides. In fact all the teams from weaker footballing nations. Celtic and Rangers need to stop bickering and get behind each other in European competition, if they continue to fail they might well get left behind and out of the mix when the inevitable European Super League is created.}

Agree3 Disagree1

Ed014 mate ..... Take a bow.

Thank you. This is all just jelous rangers raging that Celtic beat Rennes after some rangers fans saying they would be lucky to get a point & the whole sion saga.

Rangers weren't good enough to get into Europa this year, either were Celtic but without going into it sion shot them self in the foot there for Celtic get back in all be it in a harder group.

Football is a funny game said last night aswell because we won Neil Lennon isn't out the woodwork yet, Sunday is a big game but after a result last night against Rennes it should give us the kick we need. Aye Gerry 4-2, we were crap but there's 3 OF games left ? If we lose on Sunday & everyone try's to give me it tight I'm one of the ones wanting Lennon to go.

Lenny

Agree0 Disagree1

Thats right Lenny, another 3 Old Firm game's to go and another 3 more the Gers have more than a 50% chance of winning the way things stand at the moment. I couldn't care less if Lennon goes or not, a management team of SAF, Mourinho and Guardiola would win nowt with the shirkers and waster's currently pulling on the Hoops at the moment.

Gerry The Ger.

Agree2 Disagree0

JEALOUS ? Of what exactly ? Come three tomorrow you will be fifteen points behind and doing what you do best, CHASING RANGERS, Jealous !! You're a screamer m8, Rangers 'til I die, onwards and upward Bears...

Agree3 Disagree1

A point well made ed but unfortunately we already have been left well behind. The days of Scottish clubs actually competing in Europe are long gone, and until the way football is run is restructured it shall unfortunately remain this way. Scottish football is no longer financially viable and cannot compete with most of Europe's smaller clubs never mind the elite.

Gerry The Ger.

Agree1 Disagree0

Un named poster booooo !

Lenny

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic have a right to be in the europa league, as Sion played inelligble players, however if you look at the case, UEFA allowed the players to be registered in the competition, why did they allow that ? Thats aside, we should be thankful for the points gained and I hope that Celtic do get through to the knockout stage, - I also hope that Motherwell take something from them on Sunday more though.

Afternoon ED01 or ED14, just wanted to say took my two young nephews (Rangers fans) to Rennes game I had already taken them to Maribor, Malmo and Udinese games, they have now got a taste for European football. Both said without prompting, they enjoyed Celtic Park better as it was a "better atmosphere than Ibrox" ah out of the mouths of babes...... LOL Timalloy
PS bears if administration comes and you get 3 years euro ban, you are all welcome to watch the famous Glasgow Celtic play in europe

Rangers fc would just like to thank you for your contribution to the champions of Scotland. I am sure that you will visit and contribute once again in the future, possibly a champions league fixture, as this seems the only way you will get to witness c/l football next few years, unless you go to fir park of course. Again, thanks for your well earned cash ! Did your nephews feel the thinder then ? Lol.... I hope you won't be trying to turn their heads now, Timmy old boy, thats not how it's done. Still, I'm sure once the 'Well bring the dellusional ones crashing back to earth at the weekend, your nephews will see the real " thunder " your lot are capable of, eh ? Rangers ' til I die

ed i have a few questions hopefully u can clarify. When do we find out for definite what the outcome of the tax case is? Also if (like many people ojn here say) we are up the spout then why would hearts offer a player to us. surely if we were to go bust then it would be obvious we have no money!! Would like the gut to sign though wylde on one side templeton on the other would make us a great attacking threat for the next 10 - 12 years!! {Ed001's Note - no one knows when the outcome will be, the case could drag on for years or be over in a day. I am afraid you will all just have to be patient and wait and see what happens.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Craig Whyte said that if we lose it we won't appeal it because he doesn't want it hanging over us for the next few years.

I hope we find out before the end of the year

Agree1 Disagree0

Craig whyte did not say that, he said he would need to see what the actual ruling is, before making that decision -
he did say it would be bad to have the Tax Issue hanging over the clubs head but that could mean well if its 10M we owe I wont appeal that, but if its the full whack then he may appeal and keep the status quo till the end of the season.

Love the way the Celtic fans think they are awesome for beating Rennes. A team who are lying 6th in the French league. It has been their pattern all season, win a game, think they are awesome and then drop points in the next game.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Don't think we're awesome naw.

It was a win we needed to give the team a boot up the arse after the recent weeks. Said last night on the tic page aye good result but Sunday will be the test. Every game we seem to play after a Europa we don't win but after a result like last night give the team a lift.

I agree Billyboy1 the two of them should be good enough to get us the wins. The defense is strong, so if we don't concede goals we should keep winning. It is time though for someone to step up, I don't know who maybe McKay, Wylde, Bedoya, Fleck.

David Templeton gets his footballing ability/style from his Rangers to the core dad. He doesn't care about Celtic and would sign with Rangers in a heartbeat. His dad Henry Templeton was a carbon copy of him but didn't get to show it at a decent level.

I grew up with Wee Temp, used to play fitbaw wae him every day in the summer and played in the same boys club as him. He WAS a Celtic fan, although he didn't come across as a die-hard. Wee Temp never really bothered about watching football or following a team when he was younger, he always played the game...hence the reason he's where he is now!

If Wee Temp was offered a contract by Rangers he would jump at the chance.

Roll on November 25th when Sion will be re-instated and all games played will be voided.

I am not even remotely interested in what happens with Celtic. They will not win it, so not worth caring about.

Agree with reply, who gives a galloping f--k what that shower do ?

I care because if the games are voided then Celtic have to play a further eight games, which would obviously benefit us.

I don't care. Celtic fans ALWAYS take the gloss off our victories with their lame excuses about referees etc. Now that they can't use the referees anymore they have to the injury excuse...remember this is the team who have two squads, one for league and one for Europe. If they need to play more games in Europe they will only take the gloss off our victories AGAIN. I want Celtic out of Europe and fully fit so they have no excuses when we cruise to 4 in a row.
