drink at football, can buy it all over england
80,000 in seville fair play award and zero arrests. drink does not create an person, persons don't need drink to be an person. it occurs naturally.
there are thousands of you bears out there that have gone everywhere and never caused or been involved in violence. because like me you are a nice person.
i can drink all day and never want to fight.
it's not the drink, it's the person. shammy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Zero arrests in Seville, according to who? The truthful Celtic fans say otherwise, there wad plenty of trouble that the Scottish press hid really well.

Agree0 Disagree0

Shammy reading some of your posts below you look to me like you could start a fight in an empty room, who knows what your like with a drink in you.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1. The Spanish police? Maybe you can give us details of this trouble?

Agree0 Disagree0

@1) Stop embarrassing yourself pal. the words Scottish media and cover up for Celtic don't go together. Never have done and never will do. The UEFA award for Celtic's good behaviour has has nothing to do with scotland, its media or the SFA. Your clutching at straws mate.

Oh and I remember at the time it being said there had only been one solitary arrest reported. Even if there had been 20, us scottish are drunken bampots when we get bevvied and a breach of the peace could be anything from fighting to having a p*ss in the street, either way it was a great thing for so many people to go there have a great time, yet GET BEAT and still not turn nasty.

Ed could you tell me why the crowd today booed David longmuir of the sfl today it was shocking to hear that today. David longmuir is probably a bigger bluenose than half of them Let's see how many of the so called fans are there in the next couple of years when season ticket prices start to creep up Watp

a big well done to the young players
a big well done to the fans for rallying round

G_d help us if we have to watch more flat flat football again next season Rangers fans deserve better Les

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ffs, give up with the ''YOUNG '' players. I was a grown man with a kid when I was 21.
i'll give you mcleod, aird and mckay 18

hegarty, crawford 20.
cole, mitchel, stella, naismith 21.
hemmings, hutton, faure, 22.
cribari, perry, little. 23.
templeton 24
argyriou, wallace, 25
sandaza, black, sheils, 28
kyle 31
goian 32
bocanegra 33
mcculloch 34
alexander 35

and yes I know a couple have left and a couple were out on loan { your choice } , but they were all part of your squad at the start of the season.
that is an average age of 27. so please stop telling us your youngsters were brave. for the last time you are older than celtic. shammy

Agree0 Disagree0

Should have said, well done to fans today. shammy

Agree0 Disagree0

Les your spot on, it was our young guns and Jig that carried us through, and well done to every won of them. @1 has mentioned Bocanegra, Goian, Kyle, sandaza! Where have they been? I think that brings the average age to around 25.

And they loved it today, great to see.

Aye Ready

Agree0 Disagree0

Stella's left
Cribari is older than 23
Kyles left
Sandazas left
Goain is out on loan as is boca

You missing out gasparotto for any reason too?

Jprfc

Agree0 Disagree0

I, m 55 there YOUNG to me sammy Les

Agree0 Disagree0

The point being Shammy "Players have left".
Yes it was our choice, but if they're not there they can't contribute. Therefore neither your arithmetic nor your statement stacks up.
Kyle, Shields and Sandaza hardly kicked a ball. So how about giving the youngsters some credit for their achievement. The average age of the squad who "contributed" is 21. 4. If you're tempted to post stats in future, at least try to be accurate.
P. O. B.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gooam, bocca and kyle haven't kicked a ball all season. Only included to increase the average age of the squad to suit your agenda.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2013 22:16:15
Shammy the clown, are u so ensconced in hate that you don't understand what a young team is? Are you a fool? Or just so hatefilled you can't function properly, tell us why u included bocanegra and goian in that rangers team? Just explain how you could use the term ffs? And then mention players who havnt played a game?, the words of a keyboard warrior who knows nothing about the game, nothing, of course its a young gers team, don't u understand? Ed please tell this person, tommy blue

Agree0 Disagree0

@ 3. 3 young guys. yes and celtics average age is 23
@4 . iv'e already said that, take them away your still older than celtic. shammy

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 apologies cribari is 33, but your still older than us

Agree0 Disagree0

P. o. b absolute rubbish it can't drop below 25. shammy

Agree0 Disagree0

P. o. b. kyle and sandaza '' left '' in march
6 weks ago, 6 weeks before the end of the season, so you had them . shammy

Agree0 Disagree0

P. O. B. that "hardly kicked a ball" trio played in 46 games between them, at least try to be accurate.

Agree0 Disagree0

@7 kyle was available, goian and boca you couldn't afford, so put them out on loan { they are back } and you still can't afford them.
but take them all away and it's still 25 average. still older than celtic 23.
last 16 in europe. shammy

Agree0 Disagree0

Tomyblue. yes I hate rangers,
I also know that you don't have a young team,
I included goian and boca because they were your players at the start of the season and you decided not to play them
when I work out celtics average age I also include players who have not kicked a ball. like zaluska aged 30? but he's on the bench.
you ask if i'm hate filled. no my brother is a deluded sevconian and he is a good guy. it's just your attitude, you always have to be youngest, biggest, strongest, oldest, sexiest,. just learn to be second best sometimes. because that is what you are, and will be for a long time, if you survive your latest chrisis

Agree0 Disagree0

Is pod the clubs accountant?. TTTS

I have to agree with shammy, rangers are older, 140 years to their 125 years, cheers for pointing that out window shammy.

What happened to the "Million pound crossbar challenge" at the last home game of the season? lies again and was Cringeworthy hearing Ally saying watp on TV clearly trying to score brownie points season ticket renewal approaching If Ally is so concerned about our club he needs to take at least 80-90% pay cut he makes more than Klopp at Dortmund! Ally out Butcher in look at what he's done with Inverness

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Do you honestly care about the crossbR challenge or using it as a moan? We are losing 1million a month. Crossbar challenge can get to!

Agree0 Disagree0

Try going to a game every now and again if your a gers fan, the boy had a go at half time and sadly failed, move along pal, not to see here, back to you own boring board. It's all about the rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2013 22:31:21
What a stupid ridiculous and dreadful remark, what are you!on m8, /? The whole of ibrox was united today, then there's people like you isn't there? Ally was emotional and happy, and maybe even very worried, he had his child on his shoulder and spoke with passion and real love for our club,, now it doesn't matter what u think of ally, and god knows there are so called gers fans on here who have destroyed the legends status with their hate, but ally is a true blue and no matter what you think of him today, many thousands loved to see his total and unequivical love for rangers,, you obviously didn't, but then why should you care, you watched the telly, then slaughtered the man, didn't u hear the applause then?, were you slagging ally when he was scoring every single week and helping the gers win every title? Are you a gers man at all?, and btw, we have been using the term, ' we are the people since way before I was born,, there's no harm in it, and its part of our identity, so why would you be cringing buddy? Tommyblue

Agree0 Disagree0

Couple of things Tommy, firstly your we are the people patter was first used by the striking dockers, and quite a while before Rangers adopted it. Secondly no one on here is questioning what Ally done as a player, he was an absolute goalscoring legend. As a manager however, you can shout your mouth off, stamp your feet and wish away till your head explodes, the facts are he has been a nightmare as a manager and he will never be anything more that average at the job. Coming on here and having a dig at everyone for saying what they see, and god forbid expecting more for there club just make you sound ignorant. Do you have amnesia? He comes out and makes a heartfelt speech and all of a sudden its shame them for questioning him. Go and have a word with yourself and climb down off your high horse while your at it.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's fans like tommyblue that hold the club back buying into this jobs for the boys culture. Ally is a rotten manager, Ally has cost us millions getting knocked out every cup, ally is taking a fortune in wages whilst we lose a million a month, allyonly cares about ally, oh and money, ally went on that old tv game show a couple of weeks ago for more money. Legend as a player. Leg End as a manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't forget, admin last year was brought in faster for not qualifying for CL, he should have been sacked but for administration.

Mp Eric Joyce gets drunk and kicks off in a parliament bar, mp Roseanna Cunningham gets drunk and kicks off in a parliament bar. And these are the folk telling US we can have a pint at the football because we can't behave.
The tiger - it's ironic!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thinking back to the violence I saw at games years ago, that was 100% fuelled by alcohol (yes, and bitterness)I would hate those days to return and I, for one, can wait till after a game to have a drink. Safer to leave things as they are.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1, if it was fuelled by alcohol and bitterness then it can't be 100% alcohol!
I go for a few pints before the game, maybe not if its an early kick off mind and I've never misbehaved at a game!
Football is differant now from what it was back then, no standing and bringing 6 cans in with you for a start, CCTV everywhere to spot troublemakers etc
If you go to the rugby you can have a pint, are we saying egg chasers can behave with a drink but football fans and mp's can't?

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2013 16:51:21
Well, I can honestly say that today was the most pride and emotion I have ever felt watching Rangers lift a League Championship. Ten years ago we won our 50th Title, but today meant more. It hasn't been pretty, in fact at times it has been downright ugly. but phase one of our road back to the top is indeed done. I'm looking forward to next season for phase two, hopefully to be completed with a bit more style and fewer distractions. As Ally said, we will never go away and that is one thing which he is totally right about. I wouldn't change it for the world.

Glasgow Rangers Champions!

SCRSC

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The fourth tier of Scottish football ffs. Come down to Earth space boy.
McCoidt was fourth in div three and totally struggling until SPL top tier referees went into only rangers games and delivered 13 straight reds in a row gifting McCoist 39 points. Thereafter another two reds. The div 3, 2, 1 clubs and refs know this as do all the fans.
McCoist is gash.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a grip of yourself man! If that was the proudest moment you have had watching Rangers you must be ten. It was the third division, with a huge wages bill and SPL players in the team. A great day for the teenagers in the team but that's it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good to see Ally contibuting to the banter page!

Agree0 Disagree0

It was really good! This year has been a real mixed big to say the least, but you can't keep The Glasgow Rangers down for long! Next season is going to be loaded with challenges, bring it on I say. Hopefully it will be the year of finally, getting the basics right. On and off the park. And I'm looking forward to watching better football Tae, surely! lol

Well done to Ally and the team, but a BIG thanks to the supporters, Hat's off to every one of you.

OP, I totally agree, today was special day, proud to be a Ranger.

Aye Ready

Agree0 Disagree0

As I said, it was my proudest day as a Rangers fan.

Yes there have been successes which were much harder to earn on the pitch, but when you look back at what we've been through, this one was won in the toughest circumstances of all.

Over the years we have taken title wins etc for granted, but when our club very nearly died days like this threatened to be taken away. But we rallied round and survived, so to see all those young lads out there celebrating today was extra special imo and it meant more because it solidified that we are very much alive and well and we will be back at the top.

Today really brought home how much I love Rangers as we showed yet again that we are without doubt the greatest club in the world with the greatest fans in the world.

SCRSC

Agree0 Disagree0

@6/ Not doubting your love of the club but things need to be taken in perspective. Toughest circumstances? Look at the players Ally has got, the wage bill and the fact every other team is part time.

Agree0 Disagree0

No 6 - your club is in the process of liquidation, so it did die. You are now The Rangers - a new club who were allowed into SFL Division 3.

What I want to know is WHO AT IBROX GAVE THE tv ACCESS TO THE DOCUMENT " THE WAY FORWARD "
Who is the snake in our club.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If we'd had a few more 'snakes' we wouldn't be in the state we are. Far too much kept secret and things are no different now, even after what's happened. A few more whistle blowers please.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would like to know that too OP.

Craig Mather, the acting CEO writes a report on a possible future for the club and then journalists are banned from Ibrox for reporting on it.

Makes no sense to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ffs truthfulness and honesty is what's needed not duping fans and public. Have any lessons been learned?
Snakes are wonderful creatures with a bad press.
Everything needs to out now!

Agree0 Disagree0

OP if you can't work out who leaked it then I am amazed. But as 1) says isn't it good these things are being leaked or is it only the old regime who can leak without being a snake?

Gaz

Agree0 Disagree0

It was a contract electrician who was working inside ibrox. Seroiusly if it was not so funny I would be cryin.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gaz,

You seem to be an expert on everything to do with Rangers. Tell us who you think leaked the document.

Agree0 Disagree0

It wasn't leaked. It was clearly opennly handed over.

Agree0 Disagree0

@6) With any leak, political or otherwise, ask yourself 3 questions.

1) What is its intent?
2) Who profits from it?
3) Who is damaged by it?

That narrow it down a bit for you?

Gaz

Agree0 Disagree0

@7

If you say so, not everything is as it may first appear at Ibrox.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2013 16:04:21
Reports that the tv were asked to leave Ibrox today after the leaking of the "Way Forward" document which was printed in full by them.

Rangers have now confirmed this.

Whyte banned them as well before the end. Truth hurts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Banning organisations is not the answer, we have to sort things out from within. Whoever is responsible for multiple leaks of information, and whatever agenda they have, has to be found out. The PR is an absolute joke since SDM sold out/up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jabba sits on top of this incompetent mess. He needs to go next. Immediately.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2013 15:59:23
Does anyone know who banned tv from reporting on the game today---was anyone named? Such a stupid decision and shows us up yet again. I'm glad the way forward was published----why not? Who is it that wants us all to be kept in the dark? No one tells us anything except lies most of the time. This is the day we should be celebrating but this has annoyed me no end. Fed up (yet again)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Traynor asked Chick Young to leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 No he did not. CY Was asked if he wanted to stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chick said on radio he was asked to stay and watch the game but he couldn't broadcast. Chris was asked to leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well ffs. tv senior sport correspondent cannot broadcast and Chris McL cannot stAy for releasing a truthful document for fans to assess?
Bin Jabba now. Jabba is the enemy. He tried to shut chick up on Noddygate. Despicable.

Agree0 Disagree0

These self appointed c**ts who decide what truths are released to fans and not are the enemies of RFC, and yes TRAYNOR is the biggest enemy of the truth and of the fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2013 15:53:13
The Way Forward made lots of sense to me. We've been on here complaining like mad ----maybe someone was listening after all. However Ally has escaped again and no doubt will lead us on next season. What a prospect. The time for change should start with a 'big decision' right enough. I feel it's spinning out of control again.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ally and Walter, for all their legend status, are holding the club back.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2013 15:45:29
Hi lads, I'm a Rangers/Blackpool fan myself and at Bloomfield road up to 7 Scottish players could leave at the end of the season, these are:

Clubfoot (NO!, although been class for us this season, poor record at Ibrox. )

Bob Harris (Possibilty, young lad 23/24 LB whos struggled with game time this season but has talent)

Matt Philips (No, brilliant but will sign a new contract with us I'd imagine)

Matt Gilks (Maybe, GK mixed bag this season and could leave and would be a good replacement for Alexander. )

Chris Kettings (No, GK will probably sign a new contract plus we've got Gallacher, similar age, ability. )

Gary McKenzie (Maybe, BFC have had him on loan from MK Dons where he is out-of-contract in the summer, solid old school defender 26/27 been brilliant with Clubfoot at the back. )

Can't think of the other but what's everyones thoughts? These are the only Scottish ones but theirs something like 30 out-of contract this summer so I'll wait and see.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Seltik interested in Philips mate but he's overrated imo.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would you call one of your own, and better. players clubfoot?

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2013 15:38:30
Hearing on radio that tv banned from broadcasting today. Chris McLaughlin told to leave but Chick Young allowed to stay and watch the game (no broadcasting)He is obviously looked upon as a 'friend'. How petty have we become. Hidden enough in the past and time for all to be out in the open. Obviously not.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Chick young left the ground aswell, he spoke on radio.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought Chick supported St. Mirren?Aye, right!

Agree0 Disagree0

Jabba's a clown and his hollow threats to the media on arrival at Ibrox are shown up. All media can report and print what they want. Green consortium has collapsed.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2013 18:11:01
2 aye rite? ' so nobody supports st mirren then eh?

Another conspiracy clown, everyone who says they support any club are actually gers fans,?, except the ones who aren't? Do u know wot these sort of statements look like m8.?

Agree0 Disagree0

@4) Chick young is a rangers sycophant and fan.
The whole of Scotland knows it, every rangers and Celtic and other fan knows it, so why not give it a restf?
Thirty years of listening to him confirms it, he will sit next to Archie McPherson and Arthur Lamont at Ibrox on retirement. Both blue blue rangers through and through.

Agree0 Disagree0

No 4-- The whole of Scottish football knows Chick is a Gers man. He may well support St. Mirren too but you only need to listen to him and it's obvious, he just can't hide it. Why do we see him every New Year on tv comedy show portrayed as big Rangers fan? Good on him but a pity he tries, unsuccessfully, to hide it or feel he has to. Anyway why do you think they said he could stay while the other 'journalist' had to go? because he's a pal.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2013 15:18:16
I wonder how many of my fellow bears - the honest and objective ones - can really dispute any of the recommendations of Charles Green's "Way Forward" document as exposed in today's Record. including the comments specific to McCoist's managerial ability and position?

I personally agreed with virtually everything written. Wish I could say the same for McCoist's pathetic interview with Keevins in the same paper. The man is deluded as to his abilities t lead this club forward and is frankly treating fans with utter contempt with every interview he gives.

Question: Is it any coincidence the Press came crashing down on Green shortly after Green told McCoist to get shot of Durrant? Cynical I may be, but I think McCoist called in a number of favours with the Press Corp to once again, deflect from his own - and many - shortcomings as a manager. How many chances will McCoist get?

I fear, a lot of what was written for Green's "Way Forward" document will come to fruition. Who agrees?

SPM

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Jabba manipulating the DR as usual. People sick of it. Treating readers as gullible fools.
Why was the dossier guy described as Green's friend? Instead of major RFC investor?
Get Green and Ahmad and their connections back, dump McCoist and Smith.

Agree0 Disagree0

Directors normally fight their corners to the bitter end.

Both these guys orchestrating easy walk always speaks loads.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would take this document with a large pinch of salt! It reads like a politician's manifesto, that is to say one thing and do another.

Aye Ready

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2013 14:07:52
Just been reading parts of Charles green's 'the way forward' plan and I think that a lot of what was planned sounds just like what I want in my football team. Surely having a inspiration director of football with a vast knowledge of modern football would help bring in good young talented players who could be sold on later for good profit. It could keep rangers out of debt and help the club grow. Also rangers do need good experience coaches who can help all rangers teams (under21s 19s etc. ) to play fun exciting football. Who else agrees?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Is this what Ahmad was meaning in his anon posts? He claimed Walter and Ally were holding things back by not cutting costs. There seems to be too much of the jobs for the boys at Ibrox.

Agree0 Disagree0

So why did green spend £2million on a cark park then, hows that going to grow the talent pool?

Greens plan was to pay Murray - and run of with as much dosh as possible, he sold one of his companies recently for £30m, he did not need £360k for winning Div3 at rangers if he planned CL fotty?

Dont confuse SPIN with facts.

Agree0 Disagree0

This plan is not exactly rocket science, i'm sure most of us would want the same for Rangers, but it does prove that McCoist knows and has known for some time that he is not what's best for Rangers and that he is there solely for the money no different to Green, Whyte, Bain etc etc, he has hit rock bottom, in my opinion he is the lowest of the low!

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on, it is the biggest fantasy ever. Right we've just started this club with no money and in 10 years we'll be like barcelona. Just like that. The Barcelona style was started back in the sixties in Holland. Cruyff and others introduced it to barca. It took 40 years and hundreds of millions to get it to what it is now. Ironically this document was leaked on the very week Bayern killed it stone dead. The rest of the document just says 'let's copy Celtic'.

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't need an inspirational director of football at this stage.
Don't be deceived.
All the spivs want is to line their own pockets.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was written after Celtic beat Barca and the pound figures were rolling in the eyes of green.
Copying Celtic is actually what everybody up there in Scotland should be doing. If they have brains.
Starting with openness and honesty and truthfulness with fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

An Ally McCoist quote from the Telegraph.

Asked if - supposing it were available - a £10 million transfer kitty would be appropriate in the humble context of SFL2 - McCoist replied: "Probably not, but, if I am going to be totally selfish about it, I would have to spend it to get out of the division and keep me, Ian Durrant, Kenny McDowall and the rest of the staff in a job. "

Well there you have it, my description of him being "self-serving" doesn't seem that far off the mark when he nearly uses the term himself.

In the Evening Times today he also said he would welcome back Dave King who STILL has 322 outstanding charges to face against the South African justice system.

Well enjoy spending cash you can ill afford and having a boardroom with more fraudsters, it does seem "the Rangers way" if recent history is anything to go by.

Gaz

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Creditors of the former club must be sick to their core with this frivolous spending that he intends on embarking on! I can't see how anyone can see this as being right!
Just as long as their are new players at ibrox that's all that matters isn't it! Absolutely disgusting way to act!

Agree0 Disagree0

If it is going to cost £10 million to get out of div2 what for div 1 and then how much to try and win the SPL.

Ian

Agree0 Disagree0

Every manager would spend money given to him to help him keep his job. wouldn't you Gaz? Complete nonstory

Agree0 Disagree0

@1) Well said. I was just thinking that, 276 creditors done to the tune of £54m less than a year ago. Precious few of them millionaires I guarantee, just working class folk struggling to get by.

Meantime the latter day feudal lord wants to keep himself in his millionaire status with his cronies. A scandalously insensitive remark, he becomes more despicable with every passing day. And every bean spent on Rangers, every person through the gate endorses and encourages him further. It is shameful if he personifies the club's ethos.

Gaz

Agree0 Disagree0

McCoist has been a massive disappointment as a manager, but as a former player and club legend he has been a disgrace, we should have been able to trust him and he has stabbed us in the back, he has let himself, the club and every single Rangers supporter down, he will do irrepairable damage if he is allowed to continue, 4 or 5 more of his signing would cripple us financially but he is talking about 11 players and spending £10m if he gets the chance whether its best for Rangers or not, as long as he keeps his job! This must be the final nail even for the SuperAlly contingent. surely.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gaz, frequently reported as 322 SERIOUS outstanding charges.

The SFA would never allow such money into the Scottish game.

Agree0 Disagree0

@3) Of course every manager would and does, they don't flat out crassly say it keeps me (a millionaire several times over) in a job. They say "for the betterment of the club" etc etc.

If this was a banker or a Tory MP I wouldn't be surprised, having said that none of them would be dumb enough to say it those words.

And as for this amount (or any amount for that matter). QoS strolled through that division under budget spending £350,000. They also won the Ramsden Cup, knocking Rangers out in the process and did so with a first year manager (presumably not on £2m this year. )

I wonder if there is a Rangers fan out there who got laid off due to their company not getting their money due by Rangers and if he or she is reading this today thinking "Oh well Ally as long as it keeps YOUR job safe. "

I don't expect fat cats to have that sensitivity but I expect it from folk who are working class themselves and have been adored and amply rewarded for over thirty years by them. Guy is a disgrace and by far is coming across as the biggest self-server in the recent history of Rangers, shameful comment, truly shameful.

And for the record in case anyone asks, if that happened at Celtic I'd write to the CEO and say I could no longer go and support the team while such a self-serving manager was at the club. Rest assured on that.

Gaz

Agree0 Disagree0

3 - I would honestly think being ages with Ally myself & a lifelong Rangers fan that in his position I wouldn't again jeopardise my club by overspending - which is if you remember the catalyst that has seen us end up where we are at the moment, still officially being liquidated and losing approximately £1,000,000 per month!

Some fans seemingly will never learn.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gaz I wonder why as you say youde write to celtic I wonder what team you follow I've checked the celtic websites everynight since the 24th of april and never seen your name are you an aberdeen supporter tmwnn

Agree0 Disagree0

People moan about not enough honesty from our club, then when ally says that spending money will keep him in a job they are angry at his honesty. Make up your minds

Cant understand how Dunfermilne can be part of this div 1 breakaway. Firstly they may be out of business by next season and secondly are they not required to participate in the playoff with second division team if they finish second bottom

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So if dunfermilne lose the play off will the spl still allow them in? Surely sporting integrity would mean the team from division2 would take their place. Interesting to see how this one pans out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dunfermline won't be Liquidated they have made cuts quick and the attendances have helped so they will survive.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dumfermline may be saved because for reasons known only to the sfa they put the date back to the 2oth so dumfermline could be saved one rule for some one rule for others

Keevins piece in the record today, totally astonishing. McCoist claiming (open eyed in disbelief) that he only now begins to think he might not get £10m to spend. McCoist and Keevins doing a duping number on fans. Piling manure onto manure and heaping it high.
It's disrespectful to fans intelligence putting out something like that.
McCoist had the second highest wage bill in Scottish football this season and served up dire dross. His season can be summed up as lack lustre, very disapointing and failure to perform.
McCoist must get the push or the club is doomed again. If McCoist had performed in Europe, Craig Whyte would still be running the show and it would have been a successful handover.
The Board are not getting rid of McCoist. Were not getting that option. Buying a season ticket is saying you endorse that and are happy with this guy. True supporters who love the club and are not sheep won't buy a ticket until he's gone.

That's the least believable Ally has sounded since he claimed Jelavic might not have to leave Rangers when he did and then pretended he was injured so as not to jeopardise his transfer out of Ibrox went ahead on Craig Whyte's orders.

Give us a break Ally, we're not all totally thick you know.

@ op. If ally had performed in Europe whyte would have creamed even more Money off the tax man and still put us in admin. You are deluded if you even think whyte genuinely wanted to run a successful rangers. It was always about the rip off. Anyone who wanted to run rangers right would have sold the players the day after malmo. Firesale to bring in cash and reduce the supposed 10 million blackhole. Not blindly blunder on regardless knowing the consequences.

@2) its blindly blunder on now, and has been for two years. FO.

Well it's here Bears, trophy day! It may not be the SPL & we may not have had to beat our great rivals to win it, but it is the first step on the road back to where we belong, so let's enjoy it and celebrate it like any other. It is for us, the fans, as much as anything. We have truly proved this year that we are the best in the world. Without a doubt.

It's the third division FFS! let's not go overboard. A day for the young players to enjoy though.

I have supported Rangers for 40 years, I won't be there today, let's be honest and realistic, the idea of celebrating winning the Scottish 3rd division, probably the lowest senior professional football league in the UK is humiliating, embarrassing and shameful.

Gretna won DIV3 and did far better with half the resources for RANGERS.

If SPL2 is formed, Rangers face 17 other teams in SFL to make a single div3.

@2 I agree --it's desperation but it's all we have at the moment

Judging by the fans reaction to press reports on possible signings, there aren't many here who are happy with names mentioned. McCoist quoted today as saying he needs 11 new players in, fans saying they don't want foreigners from warm climates trying to slug it out in the 2nd division and ex stars saying let's bring back ex players in their mid 30s. Then there's the bit about limited budgets, transfer embargos and pre contracts. It all gets rather complicated.

I think I've found the solution to simplify things and walk the 2nd division. Let's just sign up the QOS starting eleven for next season. They did it this season.

It is madness to suggest bringing back Novo, Miller and Boyd. Players with a sell on value must be purchased. Time Ally woke up and smelled the coffee, looks like he has realised he won't be getting £10m and he is talking about the USA and Germany pre season. What part of losing £1m per month does he not get?

Well said. All this guff about signings is a total embarassment at best. Firstly its so transparently an effort to get us to buy season tickets, but only reeks of panic. Do they honestly think we're not aware of the player limit in the sfl? Secondly its an insult to think we're going to flock to see the crap they're talking about. Hows this for an alternative: make the most of being where we are, get a squad of youngsters with true grit together, then the fans can buy into a REAL journey watching these guys slug it out and develop and become a genuine hard won success story. That I'd pay to see any day over the sad excuse for a team that Ally seems to be dreaming about. There's so much misplaced bitterness about we seem to have forgotten that simple thing that makes every successful team winners - feet on the ground SELF RESPECT.

@2 great post mate, but honestly now, do you think that everyone shares your ideas? They were being booed off the ground for struggling to beat part time players week in week out! What chance does a bunch of young lads have with their own support baying for blood because they have only managed to struggle a one nil victory against a bunch of part timers!

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 Even though it seems clear that there are a lot of us who want change the game at the weekend suggests there are more who will continue to buy into the hype. 50k? The whole we don't do walking away scenario seems to have struck a chord with those who are hard of thinking. I'd be amazed if we ever see significant progress at our club whilst the WATP drum keeps banging out it's tired old rhythm. @3 In all honesty I think fans were booing the experienced players who have consistently let us down all season. The young boys should be proud of themselves, apart from Bunking off early to tweet from Nandos that is ;)
