Who should we try and keep for Premiership?
Ball, Zelalem, Forrester, Law, Clark, Templeton, Shiels, Bell, Gostomski, King
Quite a few players gone in summer if contracts ain't renewed btw, i'm sure we will replace them anyway with better players.

05 Mar 2016 07:58:41
BAll king and maybe Forrester if he keeps improving.

05 Mar 2016 12:34:17
Ed- why have you allowed the racist Chinese comment above?!

{Ed001's Note - sorry mate, it was an error, should have been deleted and the poster given a warning, but I had an internet crash and had to reboot the page, and I forgot it would return it back to how it was without the editing on the page.}

Hardest game of season tomorrow will need a very strong defence. . and some good luck but no matter what happens onwards and upwards.

04 Mar 2016 20:24:56
My tear for tomorrow
Foderingham
Tav kiernan Wilson Wallace
Ball
Haliday Holt
Clark Miller Mckay

Ball in there to help the defence against dundee's attacking threat. Thoughts?

04 Mar 2016 20:44:13
Would replace Clark with Forrester but apart from that hope that is the team he starts with.

04 Mar 2016 20:45:30
If yr playing miller then clark out and forrester in. can't see clark an miller both playing unless we need a goal.

04 Mar 2016 21:18:03
I think Forrester has to start. The lad has scored in the last 2 games and seems to thrive on confidence. Sorry guys but Clark will never do imo.

04 Mar 2016 21:24:53
Halliday hasn't got it going forward for me. Would have him or ball sitting either i don't mind. With holt and forrester attacking. Front 3 of McKay Clark and Miller.

04 Mar 2016 16:07:24
I see a few posts with people linking us to seriously unrealistic targets. Seems to me like as soon as we get a sniff of the top league some fans are willing to go plodding down the same path we went down when Murray was at the club.

We are a club now that needs to unearth and develop players before selling them on for a tidy profit and the prospect of watching young lads develop at Ibrox excites as much, if not more so, than any marquee signing ever did. Thoughts?

04 Mar 2016 16:45:05
Am with u on that mate the money and wages won't be availible for some of the names mentioned! i could be wrong but a don't see any epl players coming in unless it's young guys on loan from them.

04 Mar 2016 22:13:14
If you are talking this coming transfer window I agree, as I have said before around £5 million at most, but in the future maybe the odd known player. On players its the wages more than the transfer fee that will hold us back. I really hope we don't become a selling/ feeder club but again it will be wages that may see us lose players. Sadly the days of playing for the jersey are the exception rather than the norm.

04 Mar 2016 16:21:22
I think there will be some cash signings, not sure if the development thing will be the best system all the time in the SPL.

05 Mar 2016 10:12:13
do we really think we have 5 mill to spend
unless we have some sales.

04 Mar 2016 10:54:04
I was (genuinely) speaking to Ronald de Boer this morning. He lives around the corner from me in Amsterdam. He was telling me that he met MW at Murray Park a while back and he is really excited about his management style and the way he coaches football. He is very impressed with the way that we play now and he believes that if we get the 'right' experienced players in as a backbone then he believes that there is absolutely no reason why Rangers can't challenge for the top spot next season. He says the problem will be in attracting those experienced players into Ibrox and blending them into the current team. But he believes it is very doable.

04 Mar 2016 11:38:09
Regarding coaching staff. Miller will be used sparingly next season in the SPL do you think we should utilise his skills with the coaching staff.

04 Mar 2016 12:24:36
He's got great experience behind him and a fair bit of skill. I think with his drive and determination I think he would be a great asset to the coaching team.

04 Mar 2016 13:47:24
Would you tell him he was my hero lol? I think Miller is being lined up to takeover as youth team coach / manager is he not?

04 Mar 2016 15:32:52
Hope so mate, miller has been great for Rangers, cept for his left leg? De boer was a fantastic player too, nice that he lives close to you, Mr King will pay for a few good signings, our problem is the celtic will worry now and most likely throw a fortune at a new management team and players,
My tim pals all agree with me now that Kennedy was given his defence coaching job because of his injury, and that it looked good on their part, he is the man who developed the "zonal marking" which destroyed them in European football, Delimit a dead man walking and will know he is going in summer, they will have a manager in talks now, warbs will be here 2 more yrs, and unless he absolutely loves us, then I believe Derek McInnis is destined as a future Rangers boss, hope warns stays longer but don't see him refusing big jobs near London
Tommy.

04 Mar 2016 15:57:45
If McInnes is any good he will win the league this season for Aberdeen. Problem that I see is that they, (Aberdeen) , drop points that they should never drop.

McInnes needs to prove himself by winning the league this season or he is no use to us in the future. I would hope that Warburton and Weir stay with us for another three of more seasons and then are given the opportunity to manage a top English Club like Arsenal. Difficult to see why they would leave for a lower quality team.

04 Mar 2016 20:37:52
I hope and pray warbs sees his contract out, and some but if he does move on, I think the scene is set for Weir and Miller to continue the great work the magic hat has performed.

04 Mar 2016 09:35:55
It is exciting to see so many Rangers youngsters ready to break through the ranks. I see we've signed 7 youngsters on longer-term deals including Liam Burt. Then we have the likes of Mehki Leacock McLeod, Ross McCrorie, Kyle Bradley, Andy Murdoch, Tom Walsh, Ross Hardie and Jordan Thompson. Quite a list! If the league title is sewn up with a handful of matches left to play then I'd like to see Warburton give some of these youngsters a chance. Yes, we'll need some new signings of experienced players in the summer but I hope there isn't a repeat of McCoist's attitude towards the youngsters, i. e. ignoring them completely! There is an old sporting saying that I think was applied to Denis Law - if you are good enough, you are old enough!

04 Mar 2016 10:18:43
Last week you were saying there is no gap, this week you say we need experienced players? Anyway youth will get there chance that's for sure. The best young players will want to sign for us as we have a top class youth and training facility and the route to the first team is there.

04 Mar 2016 10:30:27
Absolutely agree here, if automatic promotion is sewn up with maybe 4-5 games left the youngsters we still have who aren't on loan to other teams should be given a chance, although the league will be won there is still an expectation to go and win every game in front of us, let's see how the youngsters handle this, would be great to see them given game time.

04 Mar 2016 12:33:08
Coldo. You are right, that is what I said and it is absolutely the case that there is no gap. Celtic are mince and if Aberdeen had been a little bit more consistent they'd be top. Hearts have done well since going up but are nothing special. However, to ensure we do compete at the top of the SPL next season we do need to strengthen the team/ squad. Not to do so would be complacent. Some players will be moved on and some new players brought in but now is the time to start blooding young starlets like Burt and Hardie. I think the cups this season have shown Rangers and Hibs can compete against SPL teams. Hibs are in the League Cup final and are in the Scottish Cup quarter finals. We've already beaten Killie and I think we'll knock Dundee out tomorrow.

04 Mar 2016 14:17:30
so what we are saying is the youngsters we have are not good enough to step up unless the game is meaningless
what ever happened to if they are good enough they are old
enough just ask adam johnston.

04 Mar 2016 17:09:03
Why would we need better/ experienced players if there is no gap? The reason we need them is because there is a gap, albeit not a big gap. We need players to ensure we beat the rest comfortably and so we can challenge celtic. They will have a new manager and spend a lot more than we will to try and stave off our challenge. that's why we need better/ experienced players doiger, otherwise we wouldn't need to sign anyone.

04 Mar 2016 08:27:18
if harry forrester plays against Dundee tomorrow, am thinking both his great goals happened when his left leg gave way, maybe it, s a technique harry, s developed, if not warbs should get a big tub of Vaseline and smear it on the sole of harry, s left boot. haha.

omon the gers.

04 Mar 2016 15:39:41
Yes sir. Cut the other leg off if need be.
