Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

04 Jan 2021 23:31:22
Reading a wee article there in tomorrow's sun. Apareothe boy dembele from Peterborough has handed in a transfer request after being linked with ourselves and Celtic. Be interesting how this develops.

05 Jan 2021 09:30:10
When I see someone claiming they have been approached by Rangers and Celtic I usually chalk it up as an agent trying desperately to show the player is wanted by big teams outside England so teams down there better get in quick. Pound to a penny, he signs for a Championship team in England.

05 Jan 2021 11:22:19
Maybe you’re right mate I dunno anything about the boy apart from reading his stats, 5 goals n 5 assists in 19 games, not bad return from wide left. Better than Kent but let’s not got there 😂 Barry fry did say though rangers have watched him twice and so have scotland.

05 Jan 2021 11:54:25
You can't count assists according to some on here🙄.

05 Jan 2021 12:26:41
Hopefully aiming higher. Some saying no to signing guys like lewis ferguson as not good enough then wanting dembele makes me laugh tbh.

05 Jan 2021 13:17:58
Think it’s just a generation thing mph, maybe the older football fans aren’t used to it being a big thing. But assists are a massive part of modern game all stats are collected and analysed to death hence sometimes players who don’t seem great to fans are in the team.

05 Jan 2021 13:19:44
HWG I’m not necessarily wanting dembele mate dunno anything about the boy. I also think we should aim higher mate but finances will dictate that. I do trust Roos Wilson and Stevie g’s judgement though.

05 Jan 2021 13:24:42
The thing is Herewego55, if everyone got their wish on here, in the past week alone we would have signed Nisbett, Doig, Newell, Porteous, Ferguson, Dembele and Lundstrom.

04 Jan 2021 23:16:09
Not rangers related, and the Ed's won't like it but I'm just pointing something out. If Man Utd win there game in hand the will top the epl. If they beat city at home, which I think they will, they'll be in the final of the league cup. And to think ole was favourite to be the first manager out of a job at the start of the season and pundits slated him and fans wanted rid of him. Goes to show what can happen in football with a bit of patience and loyalty. Well done to him. Similar to gerrard at rangers l, fans wanted rid, pundits predicting he'd walk or get
Sacked. We're now 19 points clear in the league and undefeated with best start to a season in 92 years, won last 3 old firm games, and qualified top of our group in Europe undefeated aswell. The job Stevie has done since he came in is nothing short of incredible. We're lucky to have him and his team tbh.

05 Jan 2021 07:15:52
There can't be man Rangers/ man u fans out there. But somehow they do exist. Crazy.

05 Jan 2021 09:12:09
Paul, yes we exist. Not sure how you can’t follow both.

05 Jan 2021 09:27:55
I agree with you John25,you can follow whichever club you like in england 👍I know years ago it was said that man utd were/ had close links with celtic and vice versa man city with rangers 🤔I do know when i was growing up from the early 70's and the 80's, that most celtic supporters i knew and grew up beside, counted man utd as their favourite english team! I also knew quite a good few celtic supporters who counted everton as their favourite english team in those days also 🤔I do however know some rangers supporters, obviously like yourself John25,who count man utd as their favourite english club 👍My favourite english club was always newcastle utd 👍.

05 Jan 2021 10:58:44
I prefer Liverpool not because of sg always liked them wet to see them v celtic at parkhead years ago, also did anfield tour 2 years ago.

05 Jan 2021 11:02:58
Same here guys, I'm a lifelong Glasgow Rangers st supporter but also follow Man United (from the armchair tho) .

05 Jan 2021 11:33:08
Naw paul86 I’m not a man Utd fan mate their not my English team or whatever u call it either. Actually I’ve changed my English team through the years depending on players and styles etc. Liverpool were my 1st strip so 1st non rangers strip so 1st no rangers team. I started liking Man City when I was 12 out of spite cause my older brother liked Utd as his dads from Manchester. City were actually in the 3rd tier at the time so I wasn’t glory hunting 😂 then had a liking for Spurs at one point aswell, and then back to liverpool since the days of Stevie g playing for them. Absolutely loved the guy n how he played the game. Best central midfielder I’ve ever seen. Think I've settled on liverpool now though. Was just pointing things out regrading how well ole has done and also Stevie g aswell.

05 Jan 2021 11:58:29
I followed Man U because off a lady called Mrs Thompson who was a close friend of Sir Alex.
She got me tickets a couple off times in fergies early days there. Fergie and his brother were always great with my kids as was Paul scholes.

05 Jan 2021 12:58:19
I have always preferred Liverpool as my English team from the early Seventies with players like Toshack, Highway, Callaghan etc. Remember going to Ibrox age 10 in 1972 all the scarfs and badges that were sold outside the stadium had Rangers / Liverpool. Rangers / Man Utd No Chelsea or the like. 🇦🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

05 Jan 2021 22:00:57
Man utd for me always liked them, would love to cross swords with them in europa.

04 Jan 2021 21:47:01
Here's a question fellow bears 🤔We all admit that we badly missed both ryan jack and scotty arfield in the old firm game! They both give us that bite and steel we didn't have in the midfield against celtic on saturday there! My question being who is the biggest miss to our midfield ryan jack or scotty arfield, even though they play in different midfield positions 🤔Which one is more influential to our team?

04 Jan 2021 21:53:55
Arfield for me. I think our best midfield 3 is Davis, Arfield and Kamara. He was a huge loss on Saturday!

04 Jan 2021 22:11:36
Ryan jack.

04 Jan 2021 22:12:27
Arfield.

04 Jan 2021 22:20:24
Few month back I’d have said jack but now on the evidence of last few games it would seem the answer is scotty arfield. Very influential to our way of playing now.

04 Jan 2021 22:24:34
Hard question mate but going to say Ryan Jack
Don’t think we have lost a game with him in the team this season
would speak volumes if I’m right in saying that?

04 Jan 2021 22:37:21
Arfield, he plays more games!

04 Jan 2021 22:43:37
For me Arfield, purely because aswell as adding that bite and steel you mention, he also offers that option of a midfielder going in between the lines which other teams struggle to deal with.

04 Jan 2021 22:55:52
Vs them I'd say Arfield mate. Said in the live chat we missed his runs from midfield as an outball.

04 Jan 2021 23:04:23
Arfield, the runs he makes are key to our attacking play. Kamara and Davis are better than Jack, not that that means Jack is a bad player, we have missed arfield more. 👍.

04 Jan 2021 23:07:14
Me personally think we missed jack as he gives our fullbacks more freedom.

04 Jan 2021 23:12:15
Love Arfield but Jack for me. Mussed his dig yesterday. Covers every blade of grass during a game.

04 Jan 2021 23:17:24
We’ve only lost one game all season stig mate 👍.

04 Jan 2021 23:52:52
I think arfield as I’ve stated I’d never start an old firm without him when fit. I like him playing slightly more advanced than Davis and Kamara.

05 Jan 2021 01:29:04
Arfield for me. Goals aside he reads the game better.

05 Jan 2021 02:24:34
Arfield. Kent is limited in his overall range of play and is also hampered by severe knee problems which have cost him 50 games for Rangers. And they won't go away, he'll always have this problem.

05 Jan 2021 07:43:18
The discussion is about Arfield or Jack Tavsonloyal.

05 Jan 2021 07:46:35
I’m sure you mean Jack mate and yes he is likely to suffer through injury all his career, but it’s testament to the boy that he is playing for rangers at all to be honest, great boy, and definitely missed every time he’s out.

05 Jan 2021 09:34:41
I like joe aribo and think he's a skilful/ talented midfielder, but if scott arfield is fit and available,
i'd always have scotty arfield in our starting 11,in front of joe aribo 👍He adds bite, never shys from the physical side of the midfield battle, he's a very clever player, who will drag other players out of position, to create space for his teammates and he is one of the few we have at ibrox, who makes the clever runs beyond our front 3,to get into goalscoring positions 👌He's a very experienced, good all round midfielder and one of a kind currently at rangers 👌.

05 Jan 2021 10:15:22
Jack for me When everyone’s fit Jack plays all the time that should tell a story in its self that a CM like SG has him as one of the first names on the sheet. Arfield is a miss as well both serve completely different purposes.

05 Jan 2021 11:00:32
Airfield for me.

05 Jan 2021 14:00:59
SGL both players have completely different sides to the game. Ryan Jack for his defensive qualities and Scott Airfield for his attacking. It’s a hard call both are class on their day. But Scotty just shades it for me. 🇦🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

04 Jan 2021 21:38:27
See police Scotland are investigating the bigoted idiots that shamed our club once again (union bears) on Saturday for sectarian abuse towards the Celtic players.

Honestly in this day and age these people need to get to feck.

They shouldn’t have been there in the 1st place and hopefully they get found out and banned for life.

They are scum.

04 Jan 2021 21:55:44
Their own fans gave them worse let’s be honest here.

04 Jan 2021 22:12:52
Agree rangers need to ban these people same as smell. tic with green brigade.

04 Jan 2021 22:19:26
Some people on here are far more outraged by my lack of respect for Chris Sutton, that is a fact

Personally mate I hope they are identified and charged, but I doubt it.

04 Jan 2021 22:21:57
Here here mate.

04 Jan 2021 22:39:27
And are they also investigating the idiots that charged the celyic bus at porkheid 2 weeks on the trot!

04 Jan 2021 23:05:44
I quite agree KJA9, it only hinders the reputation of our great club👍.

04 Jan 2021 23:13:30
Ridiculous and shameful behaviour. Hope they get hammered.

04 Jan 2021 23:19:12
Cops had body cams on so there’s no reason they can’t be identified. We have facial recognition and if they are union bears then they are season ticket holders so it won’t be hard.

04 Jan 2021 23:57:48
You disrespected someone who had just lost their father with a vile post.
They've shouted vile insults at people.
You must nearly be at Australia with that hold you are digging trying to justify that disgusting post, Tom.
You're as bad as each other, Mr Hyrthough you might be worse as you don't acknowledge you have a problem.

05 Jan 2021 07:07:45
TT no need to put that in the post as it was disgusting at the time and irrelevant to this.

To the people saying it Celtic fans need to be charged that’s irrelevant and we need to get our own house in order before worrying about other teams just because they have done stuff doesn’t make it ok for our fans to do this .

C of ibrox because there fans gave them it a lot worse does that excuse our fans behaviour?

05 Jan 2021 07:18:31
I am not union beara biggest fan. But can you say for certain it was them? There was more than the UB at ibrox b4 the game. Wasnt a UB that asked scott brown how his sister was, was just a random wee ned.

05 Jan 2021 07:56:21
Whoever it was GTF, as we don't want/ need your sort anywhere near ibrox! 😡You don't love our great club you're knuckledraggers that are holding our club back in this day and age! Trouble makers and always trouble for our club, that's what you morons are, certainly not rangers supporters, so do one and stay to f**k away from our club!

05 Jan 2021 08:30:07
Let he without sin cast the first stone.

04 Jan 2021 20:24:13
What's everyone's thoughts on new lockdown
Will football be stopped or worse can they abandon it
As someone already said would put clubs to the wall so can't see that happening but in this world and times never can tell.

04 Jan 2021 20:58:22
Stig, chill changes do not affect professional sport.

04 Jan 2021 21:04:48
Seen the SFA are going to talk to government tomorrow about it all 😩.

04 Jan 2021 21:11:06
Even if they do scrap the league and we ge hee haw, a whole generation of previously entitled Timmies now know who the daddy is, actually winning the league is almost irrelevant, the rage and disappointment is reward enough 🤣.

04 Jan 2021 21:11:46
The stig why, government approved it.

04 Jan 2021 21:12:16
No, but it will affect the Tic on their return, am I correct in thinking they will have to quarantine for 14 days, if so it'll be interesting to see what the SPFL do.

04 Jan 2021 21:13:08
I think that’s more to do with Celtics spring break to Dubai. I believe the Scottish government are furious that the travel exception which is in place so teams can compete in Europe has been abused by Celtic.

04 Jan 2021 21:15:01
Fingers crossed it doesn’t come to that. Maybe they’ll stop all games for 2 weeks?

04 Jan 2021 21:39:51
They won’t need to isolate for 2 weeks because Dubai is not on the list and it’s not hard to find this out.
The Scottish government haven’t got a leg to stand on as they sanctioned it along with the spfl.

04 Jan 2021 21:43:02
Apologies never read the article properly the meeting tomorrow is about Grassroots football.

04 Jan 2021 21:50:35
Guys u all seem confused this was sanctioned by spfl sfa and Scotland response group an absolute nothing story.
Nicola just pontificating as they f up again.

04 Jan 2021 22:16:20
Yrs but with all the restrictions C.V. etc etc you would have thought the smell. tic board would have used what brains they have if any and postponed there sunshine break just becoz it - 19 here lol.

04 Jan 2021 22:23:25
Argyl I really hope your joking mate.

04 Jan 2021 22:50:06
My opinion is that they should never have been allowed to move a fixture to go but When Celtic left for Dubai they were not breaking any rules, this was sanctioned by the SFA and Authorities. It looks worse because they’ve brought out new guidelines whilst they are away but that’s not their fault tbh.

I would also add that should they return this weekend and have a lot of positive cases then they should be
made to field a weakened team or if they cannot fulfil the fixture, forfeit the game. They know the risks when they go to Dubai IMO. It’s quite a stupid thing to risk from them given the C.V. but the authorities have given them the thumbs up for it which I found quite unbelievable.

{Ed001's Note - Dubai has one of the lowest transmission rates in the world and the lowest death rate, according to reports. So what risk going to Dubai? It is much safer than Scotland.}

04 Jan 2021 23:18:29
Leeanne Dempster not happy that their game against Hibs was moved. I was under the impression Hibs had agreed to it? If bot they have been ordered to play on the Monday to accommodate the tims. That can't be right, can it?

04 Jan 2021 23:41:16
Seeker I read somewhere, and I might not get this perfect so don’t shoot me down, that the home team have the right to request to the moving of a fixture. I don’t know the exact requirements but they were obviously fulfilled at the time of the request.

05 Jan 2021 07:25:25
Hibs were clearly unhappy about it but the usual protocols were followed and there is a precedent already set which justified the decision to change the time of the game.

As for their trip to Dubai. Technically it’s allowed and was pre approved by the govt. and SFA but what a brilliant PR disaster it has been. Just been pumped by their bitter rivals, their holy grail of 10 realistically gone, their supporters not allowed out of their homes due to C.V., season ticket money blown on a trip to Dubai and then pictures appear of Lennon pinting it with Brown in the sun within 24 hours of the defeat. Their supporters are going absolutely mental -and rightly so.

05 Jan 2021 07:51:17
Think they have more to be concerned about by the reaction from their own fans after losing at ibrox then lying on a deckchair having a cool beer.

05 Jan 2021 08:03:10
Does no one else think that no British team should be traveling abroad at this time. Its not even for a game its just to train which they can do indoors if its too cold for them. There isn't a winter shutdown this year so they get a game moved to accommodate them for what gain and to who? I realise that no rules have been broken and this is not a dig at them for the sake of it but it just doesn't sit right that with the whole country in lockdown and everybody playing their part they can travel abroad to TRAIN, my job requires ongoing training and we don't even get sent into Glasgow any more let alone half way round the world. That said, the pints than lemmon and broon had looked delicious so maybe I'm just jealous.

05 Jan 2021 11:04:58
That lot get game moved to go to dubai but we get he haw when we asked for the same when we got to europa league final, seems fair.

05 Jan 2021 11:56:21
Good point me2, it would be interesting if anyone in the know of the exact rules could explain the sfa/ spl thinking or reasons for allowing 1 and not the other? Thinking back did they not want all competitions finished before the Scottish cup final or something like that? I’m not sure does anyone know the different reasons?

05 Jan 2021 12:29:04
Ingerr the rule did not exist in 2008 we were instrumental in getting it changed due to how we were treated.

05 Jan 2021 13:26:19
Thanks John. Do u know, it was u I was expecting would perhaps know the answer to that. Anything serious, Johns yer man lol cheers mate 👍.

05 Jan 2021 14:11:29
Cheers John for clearing that up.

04 Jan 2021 19:05:38
Given we are now entering a new national lockdown, should the league be declared over and given our insurmountable lead. the title ours? 🙈.

04 Jan 2021 19:14:18
No we want to win it on the field, not in a boardroom.

04 Jan 2021 19:18:28
Firstly that organisation would not award Glasgow Rangers the title the way they gave it to Celtic

Secondly league titles have to be won not given.

04 Jan 2021 19:31:29
To answer your question madchelskis in my opinion yes rangers should be awarded the title! I like everyone else want the season to end as normal as possible but due to what happened last year then if it is stopped then there is no other option . Not saying I agree with that but .

04 Jan 2021 19:33:17
100% TRUE, Well said AnotheBear✌️🇬🇧.

04 Jan 2021 19:44:15
The mankies are looking for the season to be declared null and void. would rather win on the park what is rightfully ours but I can politics developing!

04 Jan 2021 19:48:04
If league was stopped now we would 100% not be awarded the title. Since last seasons farce the sfa created rules for this situation. The league needs to be 75% or 80% completed ( can't recal which) in order for league to be awarded

As it stand league would be null and void. However its also looking likely that we won't be stopped playing this season.

04 Jan 2021 19:48:32
Who has said they want it null and void madcheskis? You’re the 2nd person who has said this today. I’ve never heard it or read it anywhere so I’m asking who has said this as I was ignored when I asked whoever said it earlier?

04 Jan 2021 19:54:04
Online petition set up by the Tims, Ingerrardwetrust👍.

04 Jan 2021 20:25:23
There was NO agreement that 75% or 80% of games had to be completed in future in order to decide if a league should be declared over or null and void. The powers that be simply agreed to the status quo that it would be a case by case basis.
The league would only be suspended if anything after all the fall out over last season especially when majority of other nations played the remainder of their matches.
I’m well aware of the difficulties with fixture congestion etc but if it meant playing every 2-3 days and/ or cancelling Scottish cup then I’d be happy with that.
Also my son and I have forked out for our season tickets in the hope that we might get back to Ibrox before the end of the season even if it’s just for 1 game but hopefully for the conclusion of the season ever more do now it’s looking increasingly likely we will end up as Champions.
Wee man is in his 10th season as a ST holder I’d hate for him to miss out on finally seeing us win the top flight championship.

04 Jan 2021 20:27:57
situation is now very worrying couldn’t and wouldn’t put it past them to stop the league just now
things happening very quickly.

04 Jan 2021 20:37:14
Precident set last season. If government call time on professional sport, then leagues will be called by way of vote. So How will they all vote this time. No doubt not to declare league but null and void . Me personally want to win it by playing fixtures but remember they all hate us so no doubt they would vote to null and void it.
Remember Dundee say no more.

04 Jan 2021 20:42:13
Watch this space! Wrote the shirt and wore the book! 🙈.

04 Jan 2021 20:52:41
Worth watch what happens now with the Dubai trip. This could have a few ramifications, permission given in early November and would appear to be not clarified closer to the travel date
Will be interesting to see SFA’s investigation findings - don’t think wee Jimmy krankie will appreciate “Peter said it was ok to go”.

04 Jan 2021 22:10:18
Watch Doncaster get his directions to canvas all clubs to null and void league with a bail out of them getting their monies, unlike last year when he said they had to call the leagues to get the money to them as being the only way.
It will be a monumental stitch up and all the minnows will vote to get the money.
They will spin it big time.

04 Jan 2021 22:26:48
Nobody wants to win any other way than on the pitch, but if, its stopped then I personally think they would have no option but to award Rangers the title.

04 Jan 2021 22:48:11
Loyal Bob, this is way above 'wee Jimmy krankie' get a grip mate!

05 Jan 2021 07:21:20
The glasgow ranger correct mate this 75 or 80% is a myth.

05 Jan 2021 11:06:02
Don't want it handed to us want it fair and square, no excuses.

04 Jan 2021 18:58:46
What signings now and in summer. Lot of potential moves out
Mcgregor, Balogun, Davis, Defoe, Firth, Murphy, mccrorie Stewart, Barjonas, Kennedy
Loans zungu
Move on, Edmundson, Barker, Hastie, Jones
Sell on to reduce debt, mb one off Morelos, Barisic, kamara, Kent.

What do u guys think.

04 Jan 2021 19:18:06
To reduce debt I would like to sell Morelos but he's not worth much because teams like to buy strikers that score goals. I would say out of the 4 listed Kamara would possibly fetch the highest bid closely followed by Barasic and I would rather sell Kamara than Borna if push came to shove.

04 Jan 2021 19:21:08
I’d keep McGregor, balogun and maybe Davis from your first list. Wouldn’t be looking to sell any of the big 4 you mention either unless we can maybe upgrade on Morelos. We’re building for dominance and dominance will bring sponsorship and maybe investment. I think we can trim a lot of fringe players and just add one or two here and there.

I’d also like to see Edmundson loaned to an spl club where he’ll play every week. He’s got potential.

04 Jan 2021 19:54:01
I would Sell Borna, Kamara and Morelos n use the 75 million to buy a world class striker like Mario Balotelli. He would suit the SPL and gets on with Gerrard.

04 Jan 2021 19:59:27
Mcgregor balogun and davo will all be offered deals. It will be upto them to decide. Not sure if rangers maybe have an option to extend balogun by 1 year though? I’m unsure on Defoe, I like him but he doesn’t really suit our style and commands a high wage. I’d keep him on vastly reduced terms and offer coaching role. Loan out Robbie mcrorie and big edmundson. Keep firth he does a job as 3rd choice and he’s happy to do it. Kennedy signs a deal he stays if not he leaves. Get rid of barker Stewart Jones barjonas hastie Murphy Middleton mcpake. I’d like to sell Morelos if we can bring in a better replacement within our finances. And unfortunately I think kamara and borna will be off after the euros as they are both too good for Scottish football.

04 Jan 2021 20:08:28
I truly believe we will sell/ lose all 3 of borna barisic, glen kamara and alfredo morelos in the summer 🤔
I expect most definitely alfie to be sold and if i had a choice of keeping 1 between barisic and kamara and as much as i rate both very highly, i would choose to keep barasic 🤔.

04 Jan 2021 20:36:25
Ballotelli is not a world class striker 😂😂😂 borna kamara and morelos will. move on in summer. Be more like 45 mill.

04 Jan 2021 20:53:59
Get the batter out.

04 Jan 2021 21:09:07
To be honest, if we get it over the line this year then I don’t care who we sell. Job done, we speculated to accumulate and got the league home. Our solid business team behind the scenes can use the money to consolidate our position without the pressure of ‘Terry Munroe’ hanging over us 🙃.

04 Jan 2021 21:43:15
I reckon we will sell more th one of those John

Barasic fredo kamara kent at least two will go.

04 Jan 2021 22:29:25
The plan is to sell, reinvest sell again, and its going swimmingly, so far, I suspect up to 5 will depart and very possibly at least one this month.

04 Jan 2021 22:55:44
Honestly don't care who goes tbh! IF IF IF we win 55
However ANY we buy must be able to play at full 90 minutes for 60+ games per season. No speculation, no pension pot top ups, no injury ridden has been, GO FOR IT! 56.

04 Jan 2021 23:23:27
Said before Tom I think we will lose bb and kamara in the summer, and will likely move Alfredo on aswell. I don’t think anybody important will leave this month mate. Just fringe players and youngsters. Bring in a midfielder as weee light atm. Aslong as we replace the ones who move and keep on top of things then job done and we move on.

04 Jan 2021 18:09:42
As we're all correctly waxing lyrical about greegs performance against celtic on saturday past, there's been debate/ talk about where greegs stands on all time best rangers goalies list 🤔ED, could you please run a poll amongst us all on here mate? My poll being who is the greatest rangers goalkeeper to have ever have played for us, ie. allan mcgregor, chris woods, andy goram, stefan klos, lionel charbonnier, ronald watterus,
antti niemi, peter mccloy, stewart kennedy or other 🤔Cheers ED, much appreciated pal 👍.

04 Jan 2021 18:42:06
Goram all day long for me!
🔴⚪🔵.

04 Jan 2021 18:49:52
Think it be a pretty straight forward vote tbh. the goalie all day long.

04 Jan 2021 18:55:37
Iv noticed with the goal on sat if it never went in wed have got a penelty as it looks as if he put his arm towards the ball any1 agree with me.

04 Jan 2021 19:10:02
Goalie for me but was bit shocked that’s all votes he got I thought it be more clear cut than that 73% when I voted.

04 Jan 2021 19:56:22
I voted Goram but here's a hard one SGL who's the worst keeper do you think you've seen playing for us?
I would say Wes Fotheringham because he just never filled me with confidence and made lots of errors and that was against lower league players.

04 Jan 2021 20:38:14
3 cheers wes was better than cammy bell. Although wes definitely wort positional sense. Not seen a keeper concede so many long range efforts ever.

04 Jan 2021 21:45:31
Am surprised McGregor got more than woods tho maybe down to an age think.

In my opinion woods has been our 2nd best loved him back in the day.

04 Jan 2021 22:58:02
SGL
Have stayed quiet on all these pointless polls because your simply showing your age on goalies you know/ seen. Just like everybody else. Think people need to read clubs history. Before my time but George Niven and Bobby Brown club institutions. Peter Mcloy? Stuart Kennedy? You having a laugh? They were journeyman at best. Gers only
raised bar on goalies when Souness signed Woods. Since then standard of goalie raised again. But maybe before you demand another player poll you study clubs history.

04 Jan 2021 18:03:56
Celtic fan logic

Last season "Rangers have no chance to get back the league, they're 13 points behind"

we had 1 game in hand and 2 old firms.

This season we're 19 ahead, they have 3 games in hand and 2 old firms now after beating Hamilton and Ross county and losing to us they think they're going to win 19 games in a row 🤣🤣🤣

Can never make their minds up that mob.

04 Jan 2021 18:26:56
There certainly like their club, fans like no other. 🚀🚀🚀.

04 Jan 2021 17:36:55
Just been announced professional football isn't going be effected by the lockdown.

04 Jan 2021 19:14:48
So playes and whole squads can go on holiday to Dubai while frontline workers get worn out working 14, 15 or 16 hour shifts day in and out. This mob and any other team leaving the country must be made to quarantine for 2 weeks and made to forfeit any games during quarantine. Just my opinion of course 😉.

04 Jan 2021 20:04:50
Does that mean u would apply to us come February if we’re still in lockdown come travelling to Belgium?

05 Jan 2021 10:08:20
Ingerrardwetrust,
My point was special permission was given to football for european and international fixture not a holiday in Dubai.

05 Jan 2021 11:59:53
He’s yogi mate it seems the rules have been bent and the government aren’t happy about it. And rightly so, however they gave the permission and didn’t then retract that so only themselves to blame. Btw I agree they shouldn’t have gone, but if it’s within the law and they had permission there’s not a lot to complain about.

04 Jan 2021
New image uploaded to the
Rangers Player Sightings page entitled, What no C.V.?

04 Jan 2021 18:49:08
Whats broon saying to lemmon MAD? , is it what do you mean I'm useless boss maybe.

04 Jan 2021 15:42:30
See the manky mob want the league null and void grasping at straws cymbals. Hope the season is played till end of season and we increase the points gap that would be great.

04 Jan 2021 15:54:43
If the season was to finish due to C.V. and the sfa declared the season null and void, there be riots from the bears.

04 Jan 2021 15:59:41
Null and void would bankrupt Scottish football.

04 Jan 2021 16:01:28
If they were 'awarded' the league title last year then while we are 19 points ahead then the same should happen this year. Bet it doesn't though, the corrupt SPFL will see to that. There is now a risk though of a football lockdown.

04 Jan 2021 16:16:25
League will continue as normal.

04 Jan 2021 16:43:55
Liewell will push for null and void in the next few weeks I guarantee it and may get the vote required through threats etc! They were handed a Title which could have been clawed back or at least given the chance to claw back. They games could have been played to a finish absolutely no problem before the threats started from Liewell because he feared null and void like having to return cash to sponsors etc. Disgraceful how the Jambos were the treated!

04 Jan 2021 16:45:41
I haven’t seen anywhere not even on the Celtic rumour site anybody asking for null and void? Where are u getting this from original poster? Also why always patter with corrupt officials? Sometimes I think it gets took a bit to far tbh. Not having a go btw just think it gets out of hand at times with awe that patter. We’re 19 points clear and they are playing catch up by 4 games come next time they play. Why all the negativity.

04 Jan 2021 18:28:47
I have seen jr on Twitter and FB IGWT but it’s not many people at all.

04 Jan 2021 18:51:24
No way they can null n void it without clubs galore taking them to court. Imagine hearts getting relegated on points per game, then not getting promoted back up on same rule this season. Precedent has been set, they were quick to accept title last season, will just have to suck it up.

04 Jan 2021 20:09:42
That’s a very good point re hearts HWG but nobody I’ve seen or heard has suggested null and void and have a sh**load of Celtic friends and family and I read what I can regarding the goings on. I dunno where people get things from honestly it’s pure fake news.
Kja9 if u see this mate who is jr on Twitter mate? Cheers.

04 Jan 2021 20:15:10
Awe a spellcheck mate? Seen it on Twitter and fab. I get u 👍 awk lot a sh** mate my dads a tim and my wee brer and few my best pals. Lot a rubbish not heard it fae any sensible minded person and Peter lawell Neil Lennon n whoever connected with Celtic would never ask for a null and void season. No chance of that happening. They made there bed last year so they now need to lie in it. And they know that no matter how hard it is for them to take now. Also sponsorships and tav deals etc it would cripple Scottish football as someone suggested earlier.

04 Jan 2021 15:29:22
Dont post much, l tend to input my Pearl's of wisdom on live chat.
Felt l had to ask thoughts on this Dubai holiday they are on. This morning l heard Professor Sir John Bell of Oxford University (involved in the Oxford vax development) say they were concerned about the South African strain and what if any effect it would have on the new vax. I only say this as there are still flights from South Africa to Dubai where they are partying oops training.

How does it make sense for them to be bevying etc in Dubai. I am not sure when they come back or how long from then to their next game but surely that's a major risk.

Let's hope that if there is the slightest risk from that stupidity the powers that be deal with it.
Or guys am l being too hard on the mob that everyone's against all the time?

04 Jan 2021 16:00:07
Can never be too hard on that arrogant club and it's squad / management etc Gger my friend.

A club who had no serious competition for about 7 years, awarded an unearned title now with a re-installed chancer of a manager who is being found out as I knew would happen when he came across clubs with similar finances and better skills.

(No proof and not an allegation), but in my opinion they were aided and abetted by a compliance officer and other celtic support on the relevant panels that gave unjustified decisions in their favour.

"NO" NEVER TOO HARD ON THEM, LET ALL SPFL CLUBS GIVE THEM WHAT THEY DESERVE.

04 Jan 2021 16:22:27
In my opinion I can't see what all the fuss is about them going to Dubai. They will not be getting pished and partying like an 18-30 ibiza holiday they will be working and training and more importantly team bonding. They are in a team bubble and will probably have less chance catching c19 over there than back here because no contact with their partners or kids etc. Anyone who thinks they are there to party every day would be wrong. Yes they are probably allowed a few beers and relax by the pool but make no mistake they will be working hard and probably just what the doctor ordered in wake of recent form and events. What would you rather do to pick up team morale train in a freezing wet Glasgow or a nice sunny Dubai relaxing at the pool each day. I know where I would rather be if I was making the decision.

04 Jan 2021 16:26:50
Gger, was wondering that myself. IF big IF mind, the lockdown puts UAE into a quarantine list, for the reasons you mention and the fact the rest of us can't leave the house? What happens to their games over next 2 weeks, ALL 3 0 defeats?

04 Jan 2021 16:51:39
3 cheers, they are hoping to come back to a freezing wet dismal Glasgow .

Bet they wished they had never went having to cope with the sublime to the ridiculous opposite weather conditions (and maybe work in it ha ha. )

Maybe they will have sunstroke an beer belly's as well ho ho.

Could not happen to a more deserving club and unlike you I will have no sympathy for them my friend.

Come to think about it maybe that's what happened to Rangers last season.

04 Jan 2021 16:53:09
Imagine that happened bar72 😂😂😂 that would be feckin hilarious man. There fans would be burning park head down 😂😂 and also to answer 3 cheers I totally agree mate who cares if there away to Dubai or not. They’re behaving within the parameters of the law and so everybody that isn’t a Celtic fan aught to chill out about it man. It doesn’t affect u me or our club.

04 Jan 2021 17:08:31
Folks, the Tier 4 lockdown rules forbid non-essential travel out with your own area unless it is totally necessary, this trip is in complete breach of the rules, unless I'm missing something?

04 Jan 2021 17:43:57
Irvger it excludes professional sportspeople if the reason they are travelling is related to work mate. Which in celtics case it is a warm weather training camp for fitness and recovery and team bonding. Clearly they’ve asked permission and had the ok or they wouldn’t have been aloud on the plane.

04 Jan 2021 17:44:24
UAE is currently on the exempt list.
Plus you are allowed to travel for work - a winter training camp will come under that jurisdiction.

04 Jan 2021 17:45:44
Would also relate to players who don’t live within the area of where there club train or play, and also clubs travelling to away games. Not just football but any professional sportsperson. And it must also relate to semi pro and amateur in some way as there are still those playing sport also mate.

04 Jan 2021 17:55:28
Irvger u r, football is allowed sporting bubbles, they had permission from spfl, sfa and Scottish gov.
Let’s concentrate on us.

04 Jan 2021 18:02:11
Yes irvger you are missing something as they are obviously allowed to be there. If teams were not allowed to travel then football would be shut down all over the world. Teams are in a bubble getting constantly tested allowing special dispensation. No bluebilly I don't have any sympathy for them just utter jealousy that they can relax poolside with pints of beer in the soaring heat. It would be nice if a load of them suffer sunstroke and sunburn on the last day but that's wishful thinking. I had to just walk to the shop for my beer because my car is frozen inside and out but on the plus side you don't need to put them in the fridge just now as its colder out the back.

04 Jan 2021 18:03:48
Irvger do u suggest rangers should not travel to Aberdeen on Sunday.

04 Jan 2021 18:32:36
Who cares what they do for training let them do what ever they like and we just concentrate on 3 points against the sheep.

04 Jan 2021 18:42:09
Ha ha, like your last reply 3 cheers, especially the keep the beers out the back door my friend.

Could probably be wrong again but think I read somewhere going from one extreme weather condition to another can cause cramps in strenuous activities.

Or is that just my wishful thinking that broon won't be able to try his dirty tricks to get players sent off cause he can't play decent football now.

04 Jan 2021 18:51:17
100% correct kJ.

04 Jan 2021 18:53:35
Irvger, I think a few folk on here aren't grasping your point. The difference between going on holiday to dubai and making a work trip from Glasgow to Aberdeen is astronomical! Celtic do not need to be there its not essential travel. Regardless if there in a training camp it is not essential, its an utter embarrasment and a massive kick in the teeth for all us working class folk who are forced by law to stay home. How dare anyone say its ok for a son or daughter to be refused to hold the hand of a dying parent in there last breath because of social distancing and the virus, but you think its okay for the manky mob to go to dubai and kick a ball in the sun. Get your heads checking.

04 Jan 2021 20:55:12
What’s the difference between kickin a ball in Dubai or lennoxtown thefamous? Why does it matter to the people who are moaning so much? It’s as if people just want to make a big drama out of every single thing Celtic do or say or even when they don’t say things, ie the “wanting the season null and void” comments. It’s pure cringe tbh. Why does it matter where they are and what they do if they are acting within the parameters of the law? I just don’t get it. Only reason we have t went is cause it keeps ruining our seasons efforts 😂 if we were there 9 in 10 of the complainers wouldn’t be complaining.

04 Jan 2021 23:34:11
As Steven says, our season starts now. Let's close it out as quick as we can. One game at a time.

04 Jan 2021 14:36:38
What do we think Ryan's Kent level will be when he leaves rangers lads? I read a comment from John saying he think when his mrs qualifies from college/ uni he thinks they'll be off. I would agree with that and therefore it blows out the idea he wants away just now out the water. It was Kent who knocked back Leeds not rangers. If he said yes he was off. Anyway, what do we think will be his level when he does eventually move on from rangers. I believe he's went backwards from last season, and I already thought he was vastly overrated, my oppinion of Kent is top end of champion to bottom end of epl. Ie Bournemouth, Fulham, West Brom, Norwich and the likes. The epl is so strong and competitive now you're mid table is only 2-3-4 points away from top 4. He's not good enough for Everton Southampton Chelsea I don't even think good enough for Leeds tbh. What do u guys think is his level or rather will be his level?

04 Jan 2021 14:50:44
Agree re level ingerr.

04 Jan 2021 14:59:46
I'm more interested in his level when he plays for rangers and at the minute that's not very good.

04 Jan 2021 15:11:10
Ageee sweep, I never wanted us to sign him after
His loan spell I thought he was poor. certainly not for £7m. I’m not on his case I believe he runs his heart out and gives his all I just believe 2 things. 1 he’s tired and overplayed, in need of a rest (perhaps a few days in Dubai 😜😂) and 2. I don’t think he’s good enough, certainly not worth £7m in Scottish terms.

04 Jan 2021 15:14:33
Leeds must think he's good enough for them or they wouldn't have bid for him?
I also think we overpaid for him in the first place but Genk had already agreed the same fee so there was no room for negotiation.
His level on current performance is top half of the Championship.
His level if he could find the consistency of the start of the season would be bottom half of the EPL.

04 Jan 2021 15:24:15
I think Leeds will be thinking they dodged a bullet mate. Think they brought in the lad rodrygo instead albeit for more money, and Harrison on loan and they seem to be doing ok, certainly better than Kent.

04 Jan 2021 15:25:46
Agree with most top half championship bottom of epl.
Tho I disagree with the fact it was him that said no to leeds we said no we never accepted a bid for him.

We had people on here thinking he was the next big think and I honestly don’t know what they were watching he is a no bad player that is inconsistent.

04 Jan 2021 16:06:17
Can't believe the negatively regarding Kent, the guy is a good player who tries 100% every game and dances past players, if we win the league I'm sure you'll change your tune.

04 Jan 2021 16:32:28
For me he is a typical English academy player. Neat and tidy with a lot of skill coached out of him I. e. don't take any risks, play the percentage pass, even if its backwards.
I think there is a player there at SPL level, however, When he goes back south it will be for 5mill and championship for me.

04 Jan 2021 17:00:30
Nope Johnny I most definitely won’t change my time on Kent just because we win the league. Same as I didn’t change my mind on gerrard just cause we lost it last season. I also won’t change my mind on Alfredo even if he scores 15 goals in the next part of season. He needs to move on for the food of all concerned. I stand by my comment regarding all the above. Same as when everybody thought Kent was a world beater when he was on loan then when we signed him for £7m I don’t want him after his loan and certainly not at that price. I don’t want to hunt him out the door I think he’s a good player with a lot of ability and works his socks off for the club and teammates and fans. He earns his wages. I just don’t think he’s good enough and that’s not his fault. We could’ve spent the money better and we could’ve certainly done with the £16m aswell. Obviously we would have had to pay up liverpool, plus a %sell on plus agents. We prob of had about £5/ 6m left after that and that’s why we knocked it back. However if Kent had asked for the move when he was informed of the bid rangers would have sold him. He was the deciding factor and not rangers.

04 Jan 2021 17:28:43
I don’t remember seeing the negativity towards Ryan when he scored a scorcher against them or the amazing cut back for jack that he did . in fact I heard thousands of bears singing Kent will tear you apart again . Duffy could only cut the wee man down on sat with a sending off tackle . Ryan Kent will come good again . . a slight dip in form that’s all . that’s my opinion and the manager seems to think the same . Tav hagi Morelos goldson even mcgregor all get the same treatment on here when form dips a tad . A lot of our players form has dipped again at this time . Hopefully. that’s us through it . Stick behind the team lads if possible in a positive manner 👍.

04 Jan 2021 17:45:06
Absolutely baffled by the Kent criticism. The system we play, what he does out of possession is almost as vital as what his end product is. How many times is he responsible for the press turning over possession? Gets us up the pitch, draws loads of fouls. Teams sometimes double up on him, which frees up other players. His goal numbers have dipped a bit but none of that other stuff has. Vital player for us.

04 Jan 2021 17:47:04
Hope you’re correct mols I’ll gladly eat my words if Kent becomes top drawer mate.

04 Jan 2021 18:07:00
Well done Molsgoals.
2 highlights from 70 games for Rangers. You've justified his price tag. 👍🙄.

04 Jan 2021 18:31:41
i do love a bit of sarcasm on this site, nowhere on mols post does he say kent is top drawer.

04 Jan 2021 18:35:35
MPH was thinking that myself 2 highlights 😂.

04 Jan 2021 18:56:17
Brilliant gents . those two highlights ( I am not even going to waste my energy to catalogue all the others of which there’s loads ) were not just highlights but instrumental events in taking 6 points from our fiercest rivals . However fruitbear sums it up much much better than me .

In saying that if Ryan is getting it it leaves someone else alone ( Morelos tav aribo ) check the highlights fir yourself guys 😂😂😂.

04 Jan 2021 21:02:51
If u read my original post and then subsequent replies molsgoals or fruitbear yius will see I am not skating Kent in any way whatsoever. Just stating he isn’t good enough and not worth £7m which will rise again on any profit we make above that so if we accepted the £16m from Leeds they would have got another £3.2 of that meaning he cost us £9.2. Big flo was slaughtered back when we thought we had money for costing £12 and not returning good enough numbers. I agree in my posts that he works his socks off and I state he earns his wages and is a good player with a lot of ability. I just don’t think he’s worth that money and it could’ve been better spent, and we should’ve took the offer and spent that better also. I think it’s turned into the ones defending him thinking me and a few others are somehow attacking him and that is definitely not the case from what I have wrote or read guys. He needs to up his game to justify the fee is the just of it.

04 Jan 2021 22:10:01
Your opinion only get . When on his game he us worth well over 7 million . If you look back at the archive posts you will see practically 100% of posts saying this with a real panic that he might go to Leeds .

A simple small dip in form simple . He scored another cracking goal or two in Europe if I remember right . so there’s another few examples off the top of my head . As I say most of the team ( including arfeild who I love ) gas fad a form dip . time of year seems to be the common dom. Maybe it’s the weather or pitches etc that is the prob . I don’t kn.

04 Jan 2021 12:07:41
Great and honest comment on S. Gerrard by A. McCoist.

Only thing I don't get is although we are 19 points clear of celts on paper why keep boasting about it.
At the moment they are 3 games behind us so in effect unless they lose those 3 we are in reality 10 points in front which is still brilliant for this start to the season.

Regardless of all that all we need to do is keep losses to a minimum and we have the league this season.

04 Jan 2021 13:26:36
I'm the same with points difference blue Billy,
I look at it as 10 points ahead at the moment but if they were to drop any points from their games in hand then that's a bonus.
Really tough games on the weeks ahead for us.
🔴⚪🔵.

04 Jan 2021 13:31:29
Blue billy I look it as ten.

04 Jan 2021 13:55:43
Like you guys, I would normally fully expect Celtic to win the games in hand, this season though, hopefully they will slip up at least once.

As long as we keep the momentum going, that will do for me, anything else will be a bonus.

04 Jan 2021 14:35:17
I look at it as 19 as we have earned the points on the board.

04 Jan 2021 15:22:40
From a Rangers players point of view there is no gap, keep resetting each week and don't get complacent. The gap is 19 though, the table never lies.

04 Jan 2021 15:26:59
10 points a head as they will win games in hand in my opinion but understand both tho as it’s better to have points on the board.

04 Jan 2021 16:22:54
19 points clear for me. Look at last season with the tims shouting they were 13 points clear although we played one game less! Get it right round them! 🥳.

04 Jan 2021 16:35:09
We are 19 points ahead, I don't care how any individual "looks at it" we are 19 ahead currently. We have the points in the bag, they still have to earn the points, and on current form there shouldn't be a single one of you who would bet on them winning those three games!

04 Jan 2021 16:51:43
19 points clear, it might be 10 after their 3 in hand personally I think it will be 12 but nobody knows could be anything, but when you look at the table it's 19 so like Vietnam it's 19.

04 Jan 2021 18:36:48
DTB I would bet on them winning those games.

04 Jan 2021 19:28:20
I wouldn't bet they get 9 points, are they really that good, would you bet they win their next 3 after these, and the next 3 after them cause if you would kj you'd be as well going in the bookies and putting a wee wager on them to win the league at 9/ 1,they are not invincible. We Are The People.

04 Jan 2021 11:37:22
I knew 10 mins into that game aribo wasn't the answer I agree he's not up for a in yer face match.

04 Jan 2021 14:37:02
I agree Laudrup. aribo is a luxury that can't seem to adapt to this type of game. I know that people won't agree but hopefully someone comes in with 10M and a sell on fee for him and allows us to reinvest in a top notch replacement 👌.

04 Jan 2021 15:17:22
Horses for courses.
Remember Gerrard took of the ever reliable Kamara and Arfield and replaced them with Hagi and Aribo to unlock a packed Motherwell defence.

04 Jan 2021 15:44:21
I know Mr potato but cast your mind back to the previous game against st mirren in the cup where aribo and zungu were posted missing and were the weak links.

04 Jan 2021 16:05:18
What we all do know is just how much we miss both ryan jack and scotty arfield 🤔They 2 were made to play in old firm games 👍🇬🇧.

04 Jan 2021 16:39:39
Agreed 100% SGL 👌🏻 I agree with most of your sentiments mate 👏🏻👏🏻.

04 Jan 2021 17:32:22
There was no real alternative to aribo as zun showed when he came on and couldn’t find the pace of the game. Arfeild or jack would have been first choice.

04 Jan 2021 17:37:24
I personaly see aribo and hagi as the old no 10 role.

04 Jan 2021 17:51:13
Founding Father - the full team were terrible against St Mirren in the cup!
Even when we brought on Kamara and Barisic to shore up the left hand side they still got a torrid time from Connolly (? ) .
My only pass marks in the Cup game were Davis ( who came on as a sub ) and Roofe. Everyone else was below par.

04 Jan 2021 11:35:20
How about tav in midfield and Patterson at rb.

04 Jan 2021 13:08:35
Ever understood why we have t tried tav as the right sided attacking player. It’s obv tactical reasons with the way gerrard likes to play ie fullbacks overlapping as the right forward cuts in. However I feel that would be tabs best position. We just don’t play like that. Would be good to have seen it tried though especially when he wasn’t defending well.

04 Jan 2021 15:27:36
No has been tried and was a disaster.

04 Jan 2021 15:40:03
Cani believe am reading a ' try tav in midfield' shout again.

04 Jan 2021 16:18:58
No this again 😂😂😂.

04 Jan 2021 17:09:01
It all about opinions, but tav in midfield not for me.
The lad is a much improved player defensively this season, long May it continue.

04 Jan 2021 17:36:13
Whatever Kaj. Paul . and whoever. but I distinctly remember tav being played there twice . once by Pedro and he was good . so that’s my take although he is definitely the player of the year so far so I would leave.

04 Jan 2021 18:01:27
I don’t remember him playing there before but if mols remembers then obviously it happened, n not in a cheeky way like it sounds lol 👍 Also I’m not giving it play him there I’m just commenting on the post that I think it should have been tried and would’ve been good to see it done when he wasn’t performing well defensively. As John says he’s player of the year by a mile and we don’t play with wide forwards as there asked to cut inside on opposite foot and fab overlaps, so it’s irrelevant really. But I see where original poster was coming from.

04 Jan 2021 11:13:51
So first time in a long time post. Based on the form in the last quarter who is out and maybe in, in Jan 21?

04 Jan 2021 11:41:35
Stewart, barker and jones could leave and have zero effect on the squad.

04 Jan 2021 12:58:56
If young josh mcpake not good enough
to get into squad now at 19 why we keeping him.

04 Jan 2021 13:15:05
Edmundson out on loan to league 1 apparently. Stewart and Jones likely to be told free to go if they can find new clubs. Barker I don’t rate and would tether he left but I think he’ll stay as cover. Robbie mcrorie will likely move to a different club as he’s not playing. The boy Kelly someone said has been brought back to be looked at as cover but be best if he went back to county seems to be doing well atm. We Imneed to get as many of the youngsters out on loan to see how they do against men regularly. I don’t think we’ll sign a centre back we have 3 with katic due back and bassey can fill in. I think we will sign lundstrum and if we offload Jones and Stewart then I think we may bring in a loan in that position. Don’t expect a lot of incomings tbh.

04 Jan 2021 13:35:56
I gerrard Katie not due back for a while. He’s away to Croatia till mid January.
If he was close to serious training he would be here. We won’t see him till end March at least, si IMO if Edmundson goes that leaves us short. If Goldston gets injured we don’t have cover resided ch.

04 Jan 2021 14:18:09
I do now remember reading katic had returned to croatia for Xmas period John, had forgot that mate. Perhaps edmundson not going anywhere and it’s all just media talk. However he’s not kicked a ball all season between being out the team and the the C.V. incident. So if he were called upon he’s not match fit. Maybe on 2nd thoughts we could bring someone in as short term cover. A seasoned pro looking for a 1 year extension? Nobody immediately springs to mind and I haven’t seen us linked with any defenders other than the lad Davies from Preston that Celtic are after. But he’s quoted at £5m or free in the summer.

04 Jan 2021 14:21:08
Also John balogun is right footed mate. He could cover for goldson mo problem and I’d like to see him and hellander together at some point to see how we would care if goldson was injured.

04 Jan 2021 14:52:48
Cool re balogun, also katic will need to isolate when he returns to rangers as he has stepped out of bubble.

04 Jan 2021 17:40:23
Also bassey can play there . that’s what he was bought for cover in two or three positions.

04 Jan 2021 22:45:29
Mols Bassey not ready to play ch for us, caught one there on three occasions against Falkirk.
Not the time to take risks, if Edmundson going bring in cover.

04 Jan 2021 10:43:15
Pic isn't fake it shows big Duffy braiding laxalts hair on a sun lounger.

04 Jan 2021 11:14:52
Taking the term "team bonding" too far! 😂.

04 Jan 2021 11:45:19
What picture?

04 Jan 2021 12:16:21
You couldn't trust him to take the dog a walk.

04 Jan 2021 13:56:48
It is a fake shot apparently. Had to be 😂.

04 Jan 2021 13:59:11
Laud . while the pic of them having a beer is embarrassing. the Duffy braiding incident is provably the worst photoshop effort I have ever seen . if you sea h Facebook a tad longer you will see the original .
Good fir a laugh tho and dosnt take away from the fact they are all on sun loungers drinking beer lol.

04 Jan 2021 14:45:20
It's a pretty funny effort though molsgoals.

04 Jan 2021 17:42:34
It is mr g but the fact they are sitting in the sun guzzling beer I think is priceless . no matter who comes on to defend.

04 Jan 2021 10:36:23
Lets hope there's no need to play Joe Aribo in a midfield 3 against celtic again, he's not suited to that type of battle and I'm thinking the same on Sunday against Aberdeen, he's one of the most skillful players I've seen but he's not a roll up the sleeve type of player imo.

04 Jan 2021 10:47:03
I thought he won more 50-50s than our other midfielders tbf. Was really strong in the tackle sat.

04 Jan 2021 10:54:09
If Jack and Arfield are still not fit to face the Sheep perhaps Zungu should start instead of Aribo or play Aribo too but drop Kent? However, I think Hagi should definitely start. He was very good when he came on against the unwashed.

Team to face the Sheep:

McGregor
Tavernier
Goldson
Balogun
Barisic
Davis
Kamara
Hagi
Aribo or Kent
Roofe
Morelos.

04 Jan 2021 11:00:57
He was slow in the tackle and was the main midfield problem until the sending off, I think he's a class act but he's definitely not suited to a midfield 3 in game the celtic match.

04 Jan 2021 11:04:16
Agree with sweep, he isn’t suited to that type of game, far too lax in possession, constantly lost possession and when he did he didn’t make any effort to win the ball back. Kent tbf wasn’t much better.

04 Jan 2021 11:15:56
Doiger so no Zungu in your team despite your earlier comment? Roofe's injured. A player I rate is Itten and he deserves a 90 minutes.

04 Jan 2021 12:03:16
I don’t think aribo done that bad on Saturday they were worse players in possession than him and he seems to be getting made a scapegoat.

04 Jan 2021 12:04:32
Why in a game of such magnitude, and their defensive injuries and poor goalkeeper etc did we sit off them and let them control possession? Listen I know we got the result and that's all that matters but that could have went wrong for us on Saturday. If teams are going to nullify the threat of Tav and borna then we need to find another way.

04 Jan 2021 12:09:29
Agree Aribo is def much more productive in the final third. I’m not writing Zungu off but I’ve not been overly impressed so far, here’s hoping he’s just settling in and getting used to how we play and rotate.

04 Jan 2021 12:17:32
I have said for a while now that Aribo is far too slow in his play. He takes far too long on the ball, if Jack Kamara Arfield Davis are fit then Aribo is on the bench. 👍.

04 Jan 2021 12:48:38
Absolutely agree kfraser. Big Itten is long overdue a run in the team He gives us the physicality of Morelos and a better goal threat without the temperament. I loved the wee man over his first three seasons but for whatever reason he hasn't kicked a ball in a year now and needs to be moved on and replaced in this window.

04 Jan 2021 13:04:18
Time to give itten run play aribo and hagi just behind davis kamara and zunga or bassey midfield and usual back four.

04 Jan 2021 14:31:15
I don't think Zungu has anything to offer Rangers and I would use the funds to bid for Ferguson of Aberdeen.

04 Jan 2021 14:58:51
Both Aribo and Kamara seem to be slow thinking in the middle sometimes, especially in games like saturday's was. Aribo looks more of a threat to me when he plays further forward, but I believe Kamara plays further forward at international level too? we are missing Jack and arf's "dig" in the middle at the moment, but I'm sure that's been spotted by the management. Onwards and Upwards, one step at a time!

04 Jan 2021 15:02:00
I'd prefer the guy from Sheffield utd but agree Johnboy Zunga offers us nothing, he nearly cost us a goal on Saturday again.

04 Jan 2021 09:56:52
I understand most of us don't care to remember the 2017 cup semi at hampden when they beat us 4-0 but the ref was madden and he awarded them 2 penalties and sent off Mccrorrie for pulling back edward, I think, outside the box at the angle. He somehow managed to land in the box and in my opinion he was not getting to the ball. Check it out and the second penalty was soft too.

04 Jan 2021 10:28:47
It was also a day we got destroyed and lucky it was only 4-0,no interest in looking at a penalty that had no bearing on the game.

04 Jan 2021 10:49:47
You miss my point sweep, he sent off a Rangers player for a tug back on the angle of the box where it is debatable whether he would even have reached the ball where lemmon is saying that it was not a goal scoring opportunity because Morelos was coming in at an angle. I agree with you that the debate is over, what we should now be debating is why were they allowed to move a game back so that they can go to Dubai in these times when I can't even go to a cafe 200 yards from my house, I can't accept that this is anything other than irresponsible, and I'd be saying that if it was Rangers too.

04 Jan 2021 10:59:12
I'd honestly rather look forward than back 3 years, celtic fans were never going give us credit so I've stopped listening to them, they have had 9 years laughing at us and can't handle 6 months the other way. I'm loving the meltdown and can't wait until we stick another digger in on Sunday.

04 Jan 2021 12:04:33
This is completely irrelevant how far should we go back an look at decisions?

04 Jan 2021 08:44:00
It says a lot about Allan McGregor and puting the team first in claiming his world class save didn't happen to the ref. Brilliant of him trying to deny it was a Celtic corner. It's like a player scoring the goal of his career and then not celebrating.

04 Jan 2021 09:26:08
Greegs is a top professional and always in his wee secluded zone on matchdays, he's so focused with top preparation 👌🇬🇧 He's without a doubt for me anyway the 3rd best glasgow rangers keeper of all time 👌.

04 Jan 2021 09:30:02
Supercoop. The first two being? Goram and Klos? It's hard to envisage either of them bettering a save like that one on Saturday!

04 Jan 2021 09:38:59
Spot on with the top three and order for me Coop mate 👍.

04 Jan 2021 09:54:49
Peter Mccloy? 😂😂.

04 Jan 2021 10:48:25
I think mcgregor is now moving onto goram territory if I'm honest.

04 Jan 2021 10:54:09
Disagree for me Greegs is the undisputed no.1 keeper we have had saved us on so many occasions,

1.Greegs
2.Goram
3.Woods.

04 Jan 2021 11:12:47
I’m not old enough to remember McCloy - but for me I can’t split McGregor and Goram.

If we were going into a must win game, who would I want between the sticks - Genuinely not sure. I know it wouldn’t be Klos though. Although a brilliant keeper, I still haven’t forgiven him for those two Van Hooijdonk free kicks against Feyenoord.

04 Jan 2021 11:19:51
Alan is a fantastic goalie but Goram, Klos and McGregor for me. We all know what Goram did for us and, don't forget, such was his class, Klos also win the CL with Dortmund.

04 Jan 2021 11:30:16
What many seem to miss re McGregor great save is the ball takes a deflection after griffiths hits it. For me makes save even better.

04 Jan 2021 11:53:06
I have always maintained that we need McGregor in the team as he is a winner who gives his all for Rangers and is a superb stopper. Cannot believe some on here suggested that McLaughlin should be our number one. Maybe not quite Andy Goram but Greegsy is certainly around his level.

04 Jan 2021 12:05:33
Am sorry but as good a McGregor is he is nowhere near goram ability he is the best I have ever seen IMHO.

04 Jan 2021 12:07:39
Zillow I was just kidding with Mccloy. We’ve been blessed with great keepers and my four would be McGregor, goram, klos and woods but I’m not sure in what order.

04 Jan 2021 12:25:14
McGregor is better than Klos, between McGregor and Goram for me. 👍.

04 Jan 2021 13:08:07
McGregor's only weekness is his distribution 99 % of his kickouts go to opposition.

04 Jan 2021 13:23:38
I would say the goalie then mcgregor, klos was very poor at free kicks and corners. IMO. Also I was one of the ones who said mcglaughlin ahead of mcgregor. That comment was based on form and just the hole way am has been acting and conducting himself hasn’t seemed focussed or really on it lately. As though he has things in his mind. He seems angry and not on top of his game. Obv he blew that theory out the water in the of game. However he needs to maintain that level of focus and performance now. Not just against Celtic. Mcgregor I would say is the better keeper in his day and on his game but I don’t feel we’ve had that from him lately. I felt mcglaughlin deserved a chance. Certainly not a bad debate to be having lol 🔴⚪️🔵.

04 Jan 2021 13:40:32
I gerrard you r right re his mind, lot appears to be happening off field for him and his wife.

04 Jan 2021 14:27:26
Yip well now u say that there has been things in paper with cars blowing up and £30k guard dogs. I’d imagine something must be going on in the background. Aslong as he performs to his ability he’s the no1, I just don’t feel he’s done that this season.

04 Jan 2021 17:15:40
My top three goram, Ritchie then mcgregor.

04 Jan 2021 00:04:20
@ Cooper1872 seen a few pages back as I was reading back some of the posts there Cooper you had asked about any strange encounters with Rangers players

Thought I'd share my experiences with quite a few of the players

I have met Ally mccoist on numerous occasions and have even interviewed him when he was our manager at the training ground

Going back further I have delivered to Stefan Klos when I done a short gig for parcel force many years ago he was living in a nice big house in Helensburgh
Once I got In through his electric gates and he came to the door I said with a big smile on my face can I have your signature please he sort of looked at me and then I pointed to the parcel I laid by the side of his door - unfortunately he never took it as the joke it was meant to be signed his name on my sheet to say parcel was delivered and rubbish the door actually looked very moody 😂

I have met Walter smith many years ago
Sass papic - mols and Albertz

Got to say I've also met Neil Lennon and a lot of Celtic players I've met over the years too
Through my work at the time we got a lot of free tickets every week for the games on either side and we were heavily involved with the study centres for each old firm team through the glasgow Schools

I've also met a few English players over the years too again through different jobs it's crazy who you bump into over the years

got to admit though the most pleasant and most talkative out the lot was definitely Ally Mccoist really genuine nice guy
Out with the work I met him the most times I met him and a lot of Rangers and. Celtic players at The Royal Hospital for sick children in Glasgow otherwise known as Yorkhill before it was moved they would come up mad bring presents for the kids and do the Christmas light switch on etc.

04 Jan 2021 10:26:33
I used to teach Ronald de Boers 2 youngest kids to swim. Him and his 2nd wife used to bring them to my classes on a saturday morning. He was an absolute gem of a guy. he could recount every goal and assist, telling you the exact time of the goal and who else was involved in the passing. he said his time at Rangers was the best time of his life and would love to return at some point.

He lived 2 streets down from me, and his kids went to the same creche as my eldest before we moved, so i used to bump into him at the local park all the time. Such a nice nice guy.

Before moving to Holland i was unfortunate to live next to celtics training ground. used to see Artur Boruc having a quick smoke before he went in to training most days. And even had Lennon stop to help push my car out of the snow!

03 Jan 2021 23:19:14
Is it only me who would love Rangers to put down the money required to sign Lewis Fergus today, take him to Rangers and let him loose on Aberdeen on Sunday, personally I would love it, outside of my usual followers does anyone else think this would be great, we need someone like him to see the season through and it would cause them to panic.

04 Jan 2021 06:32:59
Tom I know Ferguson causes debate among our fans and he’s judged by his uncle and fathers career but I’d say he’s maybe the type we missed on Saturday.

04 Jan 2021 07:30:38
Not sure we have the money aberdeen would want for him at this stage of the season.

04 Jan 2021 07:49:58
I don't think he would add anything to the squad and would be behind the pecking order to get a game. Jack, Arfield, Davis, Kamara and Aribo are all much better.

04 Jan 2021 08:27:24
I don't see the Ferguson attraction at all.
He's never stood out against Rangers except for his horrendous tackles and would be a red card waiting to happen in a Rangers jersey. Plus when all fit does he start in front of Arfield, Davis, Jack or Kamara?
Anyway Tom, I thought you would have preferred your cheaper option - Alan Power🤔😂😂😂👀.

04 Jan 2021 09:00:02
MPH winner of the kerryfail post of 2021 having a go at another poster🤦‍♂️😉🤣😭👍.

04 Jan 2021 09:08:41
Alan power! I’m sure Tom is fed up with that one. I would hope power never plays for rangers, he ducked a few weeks a go to let the Derry donkey score a header!

04 Jan 2021 09:10:08
TT this is something we agree on I would take him in a heartbeat we need to be signing the best young talent in Scotland no matter who they play for.

04 Jan 2021 09:27:00
I agree that Fergie could bolster our squad and add a bit of dig, we have Jack and Arfield out, so a good fit.

04 Jan 2021 10:13:30
I have funny feeling there is something about the Mccrorie deal that includes Ferguson.

04 Jan 2021 10:23:04
Hi Tom

Who would you have Ferguson replacing in the team/ squad?

04 Jan 2021 10:40:57
I would take Ferguson. You never know what he could become around better players. The Tims probably had the same arguments when signing Turnball. Who would he replace in the team. 4/ 5 games later they would riot the team bus if he was dropped.

04 Jan 2021 10:53:19
I would also take ferguson, think he is one we could develop even more under gerrard/ McAllister. gp he would be a far better bet than zungu, who doesn't look anywhere near suited to the way we play.

04 Jan 2021 11:23:26
To be fair Zungu has hardly had any game time. I'd like to see him given a game, especially with Jack and Arfield out for a few weeks. I think he might have something.

04 Jan 2021 13:40:09
I think Turnbull is better than Ferguson, from what I’ve see, I don’t watch Aberdeen Motherwell or Celtic regularly. I fancied the idea of fergie earlier in the season. However if we get lundstrum which looks increasingly likely whether it’s now or in summer, then fergie won’t get near the 11 so why pay £2-3m for a sub? I know we just done it with itten but I feel the way forward is sign someone who will start and replace what’s already there then move the fringe players on therefore improve the 11 and the squad at same time. I don’t think fergie is a bad player but is he good enough to replace davo n kamara? Or even jack n arfield when for.? I don’t think so.
