Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

04 Feb 2016 22:34:48
Right fellow bears thought I would just gloat for a bit and post how our revitalised club, form, team, players, management, fans, (fans being the most important part according to the way the players interview post match, e. g. send them home happy) are going to do so much for Scottish football again, why? Because all other teams will be looking at us and learning how it should be done.

Double edged sword scenario, I would like us to be more secretive and keep the "good ideas" for ourselves. But that is modern day football with the media attention I suppose.

05 Feb 2016 06:49:52
I think they have already learnt from Ann Budge and Hearts FC.

05 Feb 2016 08:10:41
Waggy - Not sure we have a model in place that any other team in Scotland can learn from! We are currently dependant on loans from investors. Yes, these loans will be turned in to shares at a later date, however this will simply diminish the value of any future share option. We still have a very long way to go, although the signs are there of improvement, I would like DK to be a little less secretive and let us know what is going on in terms of getting into a share index and what he sees as a sustainable business model for the future!

05 Feb 2016 08:34:07
I think your being a bit too lavish with your praise of the team. We are still in the 2nd tier of one of the poorest football countries in Europe and should be beating teams every week given the difference in resources. Maybe this time next year (providing we go up) is the time to see where we are.

05 Feb 2016 09:35:17
Biffo, you are only as good as the teams you play mate. the fact that we are playing attractive, attacking football, and seem to almost have our house in order is amazing. I'd rather be us right now than most other teams in Scotland.

05 Feb 2016 13:13:12
Hearts have done what Rangers would have done under King and co, that's what happens when a club doesn't get exploited and is run properly after administration, what Ann budge has done at hearts is outstanding and I don't think she gets the credit she's due out with her own club, on another note what a game on Sunday hearts-hibs, that should be a cracker I'm keen to see how hibs measure up against them as it will tell me a lot about were both Edinburgh teams are plus it should be a right good battle.

05 Feb 2016 13:53:26
Let's not get carried away. Things are on the up but we still have a long, long way to go.

On the field we still need several higher quality players to close the gap on hearts, aberdeen and Celtic. The performance levels of the last few matches may be good enough to win in the championship but not in the spl. We might be able to challenge next season but fans expecting to win title next season are being totally unrealistic.

Off the field things may be getting done properly (at least DK says so, there isn't much information to back this up) but the legacy of the past few seasons will take years to repair- in the case of merchandise (among the most important) seven years.

05 Feb 2016 18:36:12
I think with a few arrivals in the summer we wouldn't be far away. Remember the clubs at the top of the league apart from them do not have anywhere near the fan base or resources we have. I'm be looking for at least second place and if they keep Delilah on I'd be expecting to at least push them all the way.

05 Feb 2016 20:57:19
Im sorry but for me only a handful, if any, of Aberdeen or Hearts players would come into our team.

In fact i can't really think of one of the Hearts players i'd take. Aberdeen, possibly Rooney, Jack and Shinnie. But the rest, too inconsistent.

They're being compared with what has to be one of the most piss poor celtic teams i've seen in a while.

We're not too far away, fear factor comes a long way too.

06 Feb 2016 14:53:41
We have now played 2 spl teams - thrashed by a mid table side and frustrated by a whipping boys. All this talk of winning spl next season belongs in carstairs hospital.

04 Feb 2016 18:52:49
Dave King says Rangers will end relationship with Sports Direct - STV.

04 Feb 2016 19:54:15
Only got 7 years to wait then. Unless they can come to some agreement, highly unlikely with the characters involved.

04 Feb 2016 21:36:37
7 years and we will be free. It will fly in. The Newcastle fans should come up to Glasgow and learn how to get one over on Cashley. Our fans based shop will get stronger . l have always admired this. There were people on here mocking it. Well done all.

04 Feb 2016 21:01:22
Great to see DK and the board making a real stand against that person, I realise it really could take 7 years to get shot of him for good, although it may be interesting to see how White, Green and Co get on at court and how legal the "deal" they did together is deemed.

04 Feb 2016 22:37:12
Everyone should get behind the fan based shop for next season buy a replica top and avoid next season new strip. Buying the official strip will just line MA pockets. Buy from fan based shop areplica shirt and let them give money to the club.

05 Feb 2016 06:07:09
Business deals have to be reasonable to both sides. Any which way you look at it, a 7 year cancellation period is mind boggling and you've got to wonder what the hell was going on in the minds of those representing Rangers' interests. Sounds more like a negotiated jail sentence.

05 Feb 2016 07:48:52
Deals with the Fatman from sports direct are from 2012 to 2019 . Maybe scrapped depending on court cases with mr green and co they find any fraud in those deals chance could be dissolved.

05 Feb 2016 08:36:07
Let's hope the deal gets scraped after the court case as it will be a long 7 years with this kit agreement and its badly hampering any area which should be making the club millions.

05 Feb 2016 13:57:28
There is a chance of challenging it in court, after all Ashley used the loan as leverage to control the board place his own men on it who then handed him the deal. Lambias could end up liable as directors have by law to work in the interests of all shareholders, which this is clearly not.

On the other side the laws of this land are to protect the privileged not the poor.

05 Feb 2016 15:42:03
It was Green that gave Ashley the merchandise deal, luigi.
You're getting mixed up with the 5 million loan that was secured against Auchenhowie the Albion carpark and the badges etc.

04 Feb 2016 15:46:34
A wee banter question for fans, if Celtic weren't going for 5 in a row and we were in the same league as were in now how many fans would rather Celtic won the league instead of Aberdeen, I know this mite sound stupid to most fans, but I know a lot of rangers fans that hate Aberdeen more than they hate Celtic, bear in mind whoever won it doesn't effect Rangers, me personally I wouldn't care as I hate them both in equal measures, as I said if it's not Rangers I couldn't care less, but obviously I want the sheep this year to stop 5 in a row, but that's the only reason, remember guys it's only a laugh.

04 Feb 2016 16:36:28
Aberdeen, hands down Aberdeen, purely to spice things up in Scotland, as much as I dislike Aberdeen I'd rather they won the league. purely to laugh at celtic really.

04 Feb 2016 16:38:43
Im with you on it i think itll take a couple of years for us to really go for it, celtic are pants tbh and hope the 🐑 do it, i don't think it'll be them causing us problems i reckon if hearts and aberdeen strengthen pre season it'll be them.

04 Feb 2016 16:52:31
Aberdeen All day, a hate selik more than anyone, or thing In the world! including TOWIE, or reality TV stars, and I really hate them lol!

04 Feb 2016 17:06:03
Aberdeen all the way, for their gaffer who I think is a good guy and it would be a welcome change for the Scottish game as a whole.

04 Feb 2016 17:11:29
Guys, we shouldn't be hating people surely. Not our favourites, dislike them with a passionand really no keen on them would be enough. Love the Rangersthough LOL.

04 Feb 2016 17:32:41
Aberdeen but only because I have 2 very good friends and 1 relative, I can't disown, who are big Celtic fans. So I can annoy them. Looking forward to buying Official rangers tops again, soon, instead of Magaluf knockoffs.

04 Feb 2016 17:36:50
A Hate Selik Mer Than A Love Rangers.

04 Feb 2016 18:08:40
I hate the whole league don't watch any of it don't care about them as they don't care about us we are the only team worth caring about rangers and who ever we play against are is the only Scottish football to watch or bother about. If you feel the need to watch more watch juventus on bt sports the best team that I have ever seen us play against when we had an amazing team and they hammered us like no one else ever did also the mighty juve were hung out to dry by the rest of their league and made an example of mainly because they were too successful, sound familiar?

{Ed001's Note - Juve were made an example of because they were match fixing. You can't seriously be trying to claim that they were hard done by? They were doping their players as well for heaven's sake.}

04 Feb 2016 18:16:22
still the best team we have played and they got punished more than the rest.

{Ed001's Note - they were worse than the rest, which is why they got punished more.}

04 Feb 2016 18:53:13
Just and only just the sheep touchers for me, and my stomach was churning typing that, isn't it great the turnaround in fortunes of our clubs from 6 months ago, we're flying, with a manager whom they all laughed at because of his so called lack of experience, and bragged about how deliah would deliver the goods on all fronts, we're still playing in front of massive home crowds, while there's continues to dwindle, I sincerely hope playing their cup match before a full house doesn't affect them (not) and the biggest cherry on top of this cream cake of a season will be flip flopping leagues with Mr Thompson and his charges, can this season really get any better.

04 Feb 2016 19:10:29
Under no circumstances do I want to see celtic win anything. Put simply I detest them and everything that they stand for.

04 Feb 2016 19:22:57
Tom mate unfortunately can only press the agree button once, but ditto you're sentiments.

04 Feb 2016 20:11:36
Aye Delboy, that's a nice "laugh/ hate" relationship you've got going there.

04 Feb 2016 21:34:20
I work occasionally in Aberdeen and unlike Celtic fans I have yet to hear a single sheepie say they wanted us back in the top flight and they go on about Sevco etc every bit as much as Celtic fans if not more.

Funny but saying that I would still prefer them to win the league.

04 Feb 2016 21:42:24
Unless you were in Pittodrie the day simpson attacked Ian Durrant, you cannot appreciate the venom in the attack and the response of their **** support " he deserved it. " This vermin will never have my backing. Much as I hate the manky mob, they have an excuse, they cannot help what they were born into.

04 Feb 2016 21:45:48
A lot hate being mentioned, we are talking about football here is that acceptable. It's great noising each other up but if it gets to hate you may want to have a good look at your lives. That goes to all sides.

04 Feb 2016 22:12:30
Well said f u. Like I said earlier I want Aberdeen to win it for del boy, he seems a top guy, and it makes a refreshing change to the old firms grasp.

04 Feb 2016 23:00:21
BILLY B

I was there when Durrant was assaulted and I agree about their support's behaviour, but what I think is worse is the fact they still go on about it with the same venom including those who could only have been babes if born at all when it happened. In fact I think they go on about it more than when they won in Gothenburg.

I would like if every team got docked points and a team with a Rangers minded manager won the league; eh is there one?

04 Feb 2016 23:00:46
sorry Del boy.

04 Feb 2016 23:23:34
Kind of an unanswerable question a bit like which leg would you like amputated.

05 Feb 2016 07:24:49
Aberdeen for me. Don't hate any other club but love Rangers. Would like to see someone else win the league other than Celtic - same as most people I suspect. Might garner some interest in the Scottish game.

05 Feb 2016 10:07:08
Thanks guys for the response as I said it's just banter, plus it changed the usual subject for a wee while.

05 Feb 2016 11:52:00
imagine if Aberdeen were to win the league that would put a
further dent on the other mobs finances
as they would not have the champions league to fail to qualify in LOL.

05 Feb 2016 17:09:10
There are so many reasons why I want to see celtic win nothing that it outweighs any dislike that I might have for Aberdeen. Above all, I detest the IRA chanting filth that follow Celtic and will never wish them anything but ill will until the day they remove every last one of them from their stands.

04 Feb 2016 15:37:47
Any News on McKay signing new Contract as yet?

He better not be thinking that he getting to big for his boots!

Get the deal signed young man!

And a would be trying to get Waggy on another 18 months as well he going to be some player!

04 Feb 2016 16:58:02
Agreed I'm just wondering why he's took so long to sign his contract compared to holt and haliday but some deals can take a while longer as it could be small issues or it could be something to do with his agent so I don't want to criticise wee barrie without knowing the facts I just hope we do sign him up long term as I think we could make a few million down the line if he keeps doing what he's doing this season.

04 Feb 2016 14:03:53
I think we have to be honest here. If we manage to go up. I think we will need at the very least 4 good players to challenge Aberdeen for the league.

04 Feb 2016 14:42:20
flintytint MW did say the summer is when the main surgical is needed, he also said there will be 4-6 players coming in then, exciting times ahead .

04 Feb 2016 18:11:54
We will get new signings because we are great and we deserve them not because the other teams are any good the whole to league is crap.

04 Feb 2016 13:55:46
Good on kenny Miller just been named player of the month for January, delighted for him, as iv said a few times on here I'm a massive fan of his and think he's totally under valued with some fans but I must say not by warbs and weir,

04 Feb 2016 15:36:07
well happy with that news. Kenny Miller is a legend, top player, shows the way on how to put a shift in for your club. So glad he signed for 18 month more.

I think that M'Ohal, waggy and McKay will all learn so much from Miller, he is invaluable at this point for us!

04 Feb 2016 16:09:45
Agree M3LVO, he comes across as a really decent guy, and his work ethic is second to none. Perfect role model for all our younger players and when his playing days are over, he would be the perfect coach for e. g. the under 20's.

04 Feb 2016 17:13:53
I said on here the other week he was our best player and got all those "disagree's"

04 Feb 2016 22:30:57
Good to see consistency this week too.

04 Feb 2016 23:29:42
Been preaching Kenny Miller for weeks. Kenny and the Lawman made the difference over the last six weeks that and wee Barry.

04 Feb 2016 12:20:15
I know Scott Allan will be getting paid a few quid playing for Selik But I just wonder how gutted that he is signing for them. it has went tits up to say the least, they have screwed him over just to get one over us.

he could have had a great season with Hibs and then signed for us but instead he has been done over by selik, he must have major regrets now! He now going to end up out on loan down south or something and will have to start all over again, he would have went from strength to strength with hibs for rest of season then us had he just signed pre contract. all a can say is ha ha ha that will teach u!

04 Feb 2016 14:30:24
I totally agree with your post but I must say if ronnie rocket gets sacked and they bring in someone who's a fan of Allen he could turn out to be a great signing for them, but I just hope he's gutted for not waiting for us but his bank account tells me he won't be, plus he will never play for rangers in his career now, that I'm sure of, not because he signed for them but because of his tweets online b4 he went to them about how much of a Rangers fan he was and how desperate he was to sign for us, but he made his bed as they say, good riddance.

04 Feb 2016 15:34:00
Agree with you Del, he has shafted himself to ever set foot on our hallow turf with a Blue Jersey on, might do it with a green, then he will know how much he is hated, and then how much of a mistake he made!

!

04 Feb 2016 16:56:28
Guy's they guy was not allowed to speak to Rangers "officially" and in any case I have it on good authority the contract on offer from Celtic was around three times what we offered whilst still in Div 1. He would have waited if the deal was right and we were in the premier that I know, he couldn't take the risk! Yes he may have regrets in the future but I bet he's willing to bust a gut to prove a point. As for being hated do you think he cares.

05 Feb 2016 02:35:44
Allan must look at the fun his mate Halliday is having here and wonder what he was smoking signing for them. The next time we beat them his face will be priceless. Can't wait.

04 feb 2016 12:10:27
lets all laugh at selik, let's all laugh at selik hahahahahahaha

hahahahahahahahahah

1 ronny d their only one ronny d, one ronnnnnnnnnnny d there only 1 ronny d!

could not resist. mon the sheep lol!

04 Feb 2016 08:22:20
I'm a bit worried about this knee injury Holt has and would like to hear/ read an update on it. I've been looking and he has a history of knee trouble, and its no accident we've struggled a bit without him.

04 Feb 2016 12:40:16
Here is your update mate Holt has picked up a knee injury, Warburton doesn't want to put him back into a game until he is 100% fit, basically he likes to wait a few extra games with these types of injuries as he knows coming back to soon can cause a much bigger injury.

04 Feb 2016 10:15:58
Really hope the board over next 2 yrs has plans for edmiston house to renovate and maybe house a rangers museum and club bar could be good revenue for the club need to look at ways of increasing the revenue and overall match day experience . i take my son down to etihad to see city a few times a season and match day experience is great down there whole place is buzzing with families plenty for kids to do . bars for adults to have a pre match pint.

04 Feb 2016 11:02:23
What happened to the bar which Green and co opened?

04 Feb 2016 11:59:59
match day bar is still open.

04 Feb 2016 08:09:02
Seems i wasnt wrong a while back when talking about how close the premier title race is, aberdeen are going all the way here! c'mon though septic, keep a hold of that clown deila, though i know you wont, youll panic and bring in someone else because yeez know the mighty gers are coming back to the summit.

04 Feb 2016 08:58:58
If poor Delia gets the sack, I would like to nominate the fantastic John Collins to step into his shoes.

04 Feb 2016 09:52:25
Agreed. If Aberdeen beat St. Johnstone on Saturday they will be level on points with Septic. Fancy a flutter? £20 win double Rangers (4/ 9) and East Kilbride (50/ 1) . lol!

04 Feb 2016 10:56:08
Celtic will win the league and comfortably. Anyone who thinks there is a genuine title challenge is wrong. Even with a bad manager they will still win the league and by at least 9 points.

04 Feb 2016 11:46:26
Not on the last two games performances. Celtic can go on a bad run the same as anybody else. Would love to see it even though it is Aberdeen.
Still don't think we are miles away from either of them after watching a few SPFL games recently. Celtic look like a team ran out of ideas.
I think when people were laughing at MW for wanting a lean squad you only have to look at Celtics to realise what he means. Our squad players are sharp when they come on and always make a difference. will be good to see who we care against Killie, I'm still expecting us to pass them to death. Also be good to see where our fitness levels are compared to them because we look fitter than anything in our league by a mile. I think our St Johnstone result was a freak.

04 Feb 2016 12:45:21
Completely disagree, Aberdeen have a lot of good players, and if they just keep calm and continue to grind out results they should be fine, Celtic have a s**t ton of pressure on them, Aberdeen however have zero pressure on them as they are only expected to take 2nd spot, all it will take is one more slip up by Celtic and aberdeen will be level with them, These things happen in football and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Aberdeen take this to the wire.

04 Feb 2016 12:50:58
If poor ronny gets the sack, would be nice to see super Ally back in management.

04 Feb 2016 13:08:49
Ally in the frame for killie job according to some paper's.

04 Feb 2016 13:59:50
How can you say there isn't a title challenge? There's 3 points in it,

04 Feb 2016 15:08:06
Ive said it all along and got slated for it, next season will be a 4 horse race, if aberdeen and hearts strengthen, i for one don't see celtic coming out on top.

04 Feb 2016 14:16:01
I think Celtic will win it by 6 pts.
