so if jack wins this appeal. u think words have to be said to refs.

05 Dec 2017 01:11:02
If Jack wins his appeal serious words need to be asked to the panel! Its a potential career ending tackle. Still amazed May got up from it and even more so that some of you think its up for debate

05 Dec 2017 06:57:44
You've obviously never played football Tompo88. Jack won the ball clearly and there is something called momentum. He didn't follow through to injure May his momentum carried his leg through after striking the ball and May's leg was where it was. It looked to me as if May was pulling out of any tackle, which is a good way to get your leg broken! The referee (and the SFA establishment) clearly have an agenda against Rangers and the referee's instant red card decision was outrageous. Send off Rangers players and give Celtic penalties and don't dare let Rangers catch up and go top of the league. I'm surprised the referee didn't give Aberdeen a penalty to give them a draw.

05 Dec 2017 07:01:19
He won the ball first, no high foot, no studs showing, his follow through caught may, and it only caught may because he sh@t it and pulled out.

05 Dec 2017 09:20:55
To be fair it was a nasty one, but jack clearly wins the ball. The follow through can't be helped but I think it might be deemed as "not in control", hope I'm wrong but I think the panel will uphold the red card.

05 Dec 2017 09:26:46
What words would you suggest? I can think of two.

05 Dec 2017 09:28:57
If May doesn't brick it he doesn't get hurt.

05 Dec 2017 09:32:11
Stevie May was very fortunate that his leg wasn't smashed to bits by that horrendous intentional follow through tackle by Ryan Jack.

That was a career ending tackle if ever i saw one.

Ryan Jack now has the worst disciplinary record in Scotland's footballing history.4 red cards in 16 games.

He should be banned for at least 6 games and if he gets another red card before the end of the season i think that the sfa should consider banning him sin die.

05 Dec 2017 09:21:04
Tompo what about the tackle Simonvic had on Miller?
Would you say that was a potential career ending tackle or was it just his momentum that made the tackle look worse than what it was?

05 Dec 2017 09:34:29
Jack will not win his appeal this time. he will get banned for 3 games. it doesn't matter what anyone thinks. put it this way. the sfa won't overturn it this time or they will look like one big joke. even though they are lol there isn't a hope in hell Jack will get away with it this time unfortunately he's done even before he walks into the room. the 2 he won will go against him

05 Dec 2017 09:35:19
I agree May definitely slowed his tackle right up but jack did catch him and for me it was a straight red all be it unlucky for our player as it was a 50/ 50 ball to go for until May bottled it

05 Dec 2017 10:31:07
Doiger, how many penalties did Dundee and Hamilton get against your lot? Your not good enough to beat the bottom two teams in the league but it's the referees that are stopping you winning it, let me spell it out for you, d-e-l-u-d-e-d .

05 Dec 2017 11:46:47
Which green stone did you crawl from under ballochi? What the hell have Dundee and Hamilton got to do with it? Anderlecht to win 3-0 tonight @ 50/ 1. That'll do nicely for a £20 bet. Difference is I don't visit the dark side's website, much rather focus on supporting my own team. Slither away now wee man.

05 Dec 2017 13:12:17
Ha ha Doiger. Good for you! I really Don't see the attraction of trolling their sites. Besides having to process the constant words of one syllable I'm afraid I might catch something. If you Google Scots Squad Bam Whisperer You'll find a typical example of a dark side follower. Hilarious!

04 Dec 2017 19:16:44
I find it difficult to believe people actually want Ashley anywhere near us, just when it looked like we had finally escaped the clutches of an evil corporate psychopath! Having misgivings about the current board and where the money is coming from is understandable especially after what we've been through, but it seems to me that every big club in Britain is run by tax avoiding scoundrels, shady criminals, or vastly wealthy oligarchs. And the best we can hope for is that the shameless liars running our club have its best interests at heart, like promoting continual and increased fan involvement. Which is what we have now. Do you think Ashley would give a toss about what the fans thought? Just ask a Newcastle fan the answer to that one.

Keep Believing.

04 Dec 2017 19:53:55
Agree mate him and his gangsters took the heart soul out of club last time heard it wasn’t a nice place to be. eventually we got rid some people want him back because he may wave some money in front our noses but there would be price there always is with somebody like him. at least king got people like John greig back to get feel good factor back inside club. investment nice but not if you rip heart and soul from inside the club

04 Dec 2017 20:19:41
Never ever want Ashley back in any form! He is only interested in using us as a vehicle to promote his beloved sports direct jumble sale! It will take time but we will get back to the top bears! Craig whyte etc were all his patsies. let's never forget that!

04 Dec 2017 20:26:18
Run the fat man right out if he comes anywhere near us.

04 Dec 2017 22:27:38
No chance do I want that rat Ashley anywhere near our club

04 Dec 2017 18:49:23
Are we waiting on some investment to get this managerial appointment 100% right?

04 Dec 2017 18:12:30
For the first time ever - I watched and listened to the Daily Record 'back page' discussion.
Keith Jackson is a total FuDD.
Apparently because Rangers haven't been shouting from the rooftops over the past month for McInnes - then we show no integrity, are arrogant and dishonest! e. g. Comment = =if this is how this Rangers board are conducting business McInnes would be mad to sign for Rangers!

Have I missed something?

04 Dec 2017 20:21:09
I wouldn't give big 'exclusive' much. they’re just raging because they can't get anything from the club.

04 Dec 2017 18:03:11
Hi Ed, what about a poll on whether Ashley would be welcome if he invested 30-40 million in Gers?

{Ed033's Note -

Ashley Poll

04 Dec 2017 20:24:59
I've said on here before that its great advertisement for ashley for minimal cost against the english league, and we need that kind of investment, nobody else is standing up so why not, yip he's a buisness guy a rich one that's pretty ruthless
Guess what rich buisness guys are pretty ruthless but rich because of it, he'll see what can be made by celtics figures and it might just make him think but that also means investment in the team to reach that level

04 Dec 2017 20:27:14
111 so called fans would have ashley back if he invested 30 million. My god what short memories these people have!

05 Dec 2017 10:11:02
Anyone who wants Fat Mike at ibrox clearly doesn’t care about Rangers!

04 Dec 2017 15:58:53
Is it just me who thinks that it's not mcinnes that the board want. surely if the board wanted him they would have asked to speak to him before now. maybe king has played a blinder. but whoever gets the job I will give my full support until it goes Pete tong. but i hope to God they get it right as we are not as bad as people think. add 3/ 4 quality players in the summer and we will be right up there next season.

04 Dec 2017 15:49:41
blue toon only wanting to sell on when we have more coming through, should have said that.

04 Dec 2017 15:42:32
rangers board have a change heart about new manager.

04 Dec 2017 18:03:09
Let's hope so

04 dec 2017 14:27:13
those people wanting mike ashley back at ibrox,
rememeber ashley is only in it for ashley. keep him out!

04 Dec 2017 15:53:55
Anybody hoping Ashley will invest in rangers are from the dark side. I mean c. Mon the guy and his pals ripped us to shreds. I'm not a massive fan of king. but at least I know the club is not getting shafted up the bumhole. Ashley is a parasite who will only take from us. not put in. I actually can't believe any rangers fans would welcome him back into ibrox

04 Dec 2017 16:42:52
Do you think all these Arabs, oil tycoons and Americans all grew up with there English prem shorts on thinking one day I would love to own them. there in it for the money. Ashley knows all he will get in return for millions is European wide publicity for his company. We get the cash that no Gers fan is prepared to give

04 Dec 2017 19:14:14
Blue nose . I had a good week laff to that brilliant hahahahahahahaha all these Arabs wi there wee prem shorts on 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

04 Dec 2017 14:12:53
Hi
First time post. The way forward for our club is through bringing through good players from the youth system. this would save a fortune on players and having to look for new investment all the time. If we do get DM for manager it looks like he isn't afraid to play the youngsters, let's get young players desperate to sign for the Rangers again, and if good enough we can sell them on for big money.

04 Dec 2017 15:01:19
I disagree blue, if they are good enough keep them and built a team. If we sell them and a replacement not coming through it will cost more to buy a replacement.

04 Dec 2017 13:20:59
I'm sick of reading or hearing people say Rangers have to, must do, need to do this that or the next think to put speculation to bed I'm glad the club are not giving anything away and it's not the fault the club that the media are speculating or making up stories that may be unsettling for other people of clubs I hope the club do keep playing their cards close to their chest and when their ready to announce it then we'll know bit let's not forget all this speculation it down to the reporters and media outlets NOT Rangers and why shouldn't we take our time to find and appoint who we think is the best person for the job to take us forward and whoever that may be I will still back him and support the team as together we are all rangers and when we get to the next level and win the league title again think of how swwmeet the feeling will be for every single one of us to think how we've came back from all the knocks we've had over that last few years and be stronger for it.

04 Dec 2017 12:55:43
Would like Murty to stay now before the Aberdeen game I was against it but he out played dmc in both games playing young Mccrorie in cdm, totally controlled both games he deserves it even till it goes sour if It doesn't he could be a real gem

04 Dec 2017 13:53:27
I would certainly not to be upset if he was given until the end of the season. Out thought McInnes tactically twice within a week.

Previously I would have been happy enough with McInnes at the helm but now I'm having my doubts.

Has any other team ever hired a manager who has just been beaten twice by a temporary boss?

04 Dec 2017 10:53:50
I think the refereeing against Ryan Jack needs investigated. The problem the SPFL appeals panel will have with the latest when it surely will happen is having to deal with the reality of a third over rule. It would make a mockery of refereeing and raise red flags and they'd want to avoid that. I've never seen a ref get a red card out of his pocket quicker than I did yesterday. He couldn't wait when even a yellow would have been harsh.

04 Dec 2017 11:53:35
He has a big target on his back now, read an interesting piece that said he only had 3 reds in his career to date before signing for us and now has 4 in 4 months! The Hibs and Kilmarnock ones were rightly overturned but he does seem to get drawn into handbags very easily and my worry is that it will cost us points in the future and also I would worry about him in Euro competition.

My feeling on the tackle yesterday is that he takes the ball first then the man with the follow through, most decent refs would not have even carded Jack but Collum is a shocking ref as was played out at Fir Park a few days earlier! Remember Simunovic took ball then man when he completely wiped out Kenny Miller in the disastrous old firm at ibrox last season? We had to take that on the chin and surely this will get overturned on appeal regardless of how it makes the refereeing standard look!

04 Dec 2017 12:03:56
Thats bull cause he had one for aberdeen and i'm sure it was against us.

04 Dec 2017 12:11:48
Yes Fod 1 against us, 1 against Celtic and 1 against St. Johnstone until he signed for us.

04 Dec 2017 13:00:04
Did he not give Celtic the penalty against Motherwell

04 Dec 2017 14:33:55
Good post wee bear. You don't even have to consider the dynamics of momentum. Biology and the laws of physics explains the follow through of kicking a ball. It wasn't close to be being about a 50-50 tackle, it's about a guy kicking the ball and movement and position of his foot as it naturally follows through.

04 Dec 2017 15:08:48
Have watched it several times, jack clearly plays the ball even before the Aberdeen player puts his foot in to stop him. I might be old but in my day that was a normal tackle. Watching it live at full speed my initial thought was that it was a free kick to us! It was his "reputation" that made the ref send him off

04 Dec 2017 15:51:38
Personally I’d be more annoyed and concerned if he wasn’t going in 100% to tackles

04 Dec 2017 10:49:20
Hi Ed, been reading a lot of mixed opinions on Ryan Jack's sending off. Could you do a poll for it please?

Was Ryan Jacks tackle a red card?

Yes, Just a yellow, No.

{Ed033's Note -

Ryan Jack Poll

04 Dec 2017 10:38:01
mccrorie out standing in his new roll.

04 Dec 2017 08:33:15
One encouraging thing about the last couple of games is how many young Scots are involved. Bates, McCrorie, Holt, Jack - they all played really well. I think in McCrorie we have a real star. Just shows, give youth a chance and it can pay off. I still don't know what young Hardie has to do to be given a chance. Miller didn't do much yesterday, neither did Pena. I thought Tav was man of the match.

04 Dec 2017 10:13:56
If Hardie had something about him he would off had his chance like all the young ones. The young guys have been great especially mccrorie stand out for me. You seem to like hardie as every post you do has his name in it maybe your ryan hardie

04 Dec 2017 10:43:26
I would like to see Barjones given more of a chance

04 Dec 2017 10:54:54
I thot jack was motm by a distance til the red

04 Dec 2017 11:07:03
Hardie is very average and nothing special he wouldn't get a game if I was manager either.

04 Dec 2017 11:26:35
Just to add I’d like to see Atakayi get a chance!

04 Dec 2017 11:53:31
Maybe I am mr Lewis, so best watch out for who is following you! Hardie is Scotland U-21's first-choice striker and hasn't been given a chance yet.

04 Dec 2017 12:56:39
Scotland u21 is not saying much I’m just saying he’s not getting a game because he’s obs not doing it at training who would you leave out if he was to come in

04 Dec 2017 15:24:23
Miller and Pena

04 Dec 2017 17:28:48
Pena will come good he’s a player who finds space and score goals he has a better goals to minutes ratio than anyone else at our club at the moment I would have Pena and Morelos up front

04 Dec 2017 18:28:43
Barjonas looks like a player. Hardie is not going to make it. Murty is his mentor and still won't take the gamble of sticking him in. That's a clear enough indicator.

04 Dec 2017 07:50:34
As a tim i think Mcinnes is your answer, knows what's expected, no fancy ideals like pedro. Its Scottish football, its a mixture of talent and battle. Look at motherwell and St. Johnstone. they gave us both good battles. It will be a platform for better things. Spent my earlier years surrounded by rangers mates in your glory days and as much as i have loved our past few seasons its not good for anyone if you can't compete. i was once told without rivalry football is nothing, doesn't attract crowds, investment or even interest. bring back the old firm games when you are on the edge of your seat as opposed to watching paint dry. because wether both sides admit it. its what we all want.

04 Dec 2017 08:28:26
Fair play mate, jury is out if DMc is that guy but appreciate the balance in your comments and totally agree with them

04 Dec 2017 14:40:22
Good post Bribhoy. I am surrounded by Celtic supporters and although clearly enjoying themselves they don't get the same kick out of it at the moment. We are years behind. We all acknowledge this at the beginning of the season and then within 2 months everybody goes mad saying sack the board the manager and prob the cleaner !

04 Dec 2017 15:48:58
Aye though the manager needed sacking otherwise we would be heading for bottom 6. Joke appointment imo

04 Dec 2017 18:22:57
Bribhoy, that's the most sensible comment in regards to mcinnes that I have read on here for over a month, massively over achieved at aberdeen and will be a great manager for us. People on here wanted allardyce, coleman, pardew, these guys would never come to us! They are the merry go round group of premier league managers and are used to spending big bucks.

Not one of them has ever worked with a budget as small as ours and been successful, infact they have spent tens of millions and never been successful. Then GVB, why would he leave a champs league team with a bigger budget for us? Then the was de boer, wtf? He lasted 17 days at inter then 2 months at palace and you clowns want him at ibrox. Honestly the delusion on here is unreal, did anyone actually go to school?

I read about rangers class, you know who you are gary75. Exactly who and what is rangers class on a small budget? If you measuring class against the 9iar or advocaat or 2nd smith era then you are going to need millions upon millions to get that class again. So I ask what is rangers class? What we need is a man who will not waste 8mil on mexican/ portugese or other foreign diddys without clearly doing there homework first, instead spend it wisely.

Pena still isn't fit, herrera is the most used sub in the league and they cost 5mil. Mcinnes is the man. He spent his pittance of budget wisely over the last 4 years and has always had aberdeen up there.

04 Dec 2017 05:58:11
If a new manager is named asap, then surely the board have played a blinder by completely unsettling Aberdeen. Whether McInnis gets the job or not.

Cant take anything away from the way we have played in the last two games, actually really disappointing to have dropped some silly points before hand.

Murty is a shining example to everyone at the club, he stepped up to the plate and handled himself really well. I hope we can keep him at the club as long as possible!

If we can play with this kind of hunger week in week out, we should be winning most games.

04 Dec 2017 09:02:19
I have never posted a quote from a source but here goes my daughter knows the sister of an Aberdeen player who was involved in yesterday's game she said the dressing room are convinced Mcinnes is on his way to Ibrox this week so maybe it did unsettle them now don't shoot the messenger I am only passing on what was said so let's wait and see he isn't my choice but whoever it is I'll back him

04 Dec 2017 10:41:02
Agree. Keep saying it, there is a very decent squad there. Maybe they are beginning to believe it. The manager was always the problem. Big well done to Graham Murty.

04 Dec 2017 11:59:52
Yes, big thank you to Graeme Murty for bringing the squad together and getting us up to 2nd in the league. His passion, pride and class shone through when speaking publicly. I just hope we don’t lose him now as surely he will be on the radar of clubs now for the managers position.

Filled me with pride last week when he was telling the media what a special club we are!

04 Dec 2017 18:29:36
Can't understand why any of our fans would want to see a person who is obviously a lesser coach come in and disrupt the momentum Murty is gathering with this team. No thanks, McInnes, keep worrying the sheep.

04 Dec 2017 21:05:32
fickle lot, what was said about murty two weeks ago, then two wins now he is world class again.

04 Dec 2017 01:46:57
Try ignoring that last post. Had one too many I think. To put it another way if after 6 weeks Mark Allen has come up with McInnes does that make him incompetent also?

03 Dec 2017 23:54:05
For all of you that know McInnes will definitely fail, I don't suppose you could tell me next weeks lottery numbers? I've been having some financial problems and had to pawn my crystal ball.

04 Dec 2017 01:20:26
BigMarv
I'm genuinely worried that if the wee man gets the job, going by the comments on here, that he will not be given a fair crack of the whip.

Some on here seem to have him as a failed rangers manager before he's had been given the job.

Support the team and the manager.
Some seem determined to make a rod for all our backs.

04 Dec 2017 01:56:19
Have to agree Only a game I'm not trying to champion McInnes particularly if they surprise us with someone else I'll do my best to support them instead. However it looks to be McInnes so we should at least give him a chance. We gave Pedro a chance (probably more to be fair) and we'd never even heard of him.

04 Dec 2017 09:41:28
mcinnes looked like a little boy lost yesterday, wait till the first bit of disappointment comes at ibrox all he has to do is beat the badge on his chest to remind you he was once a ger and you will all fall for the old bull, and all is forgiven, i for one do not intend to, its a disaster waiting to happen

04 Dec 2017 11:26:16
What a horribly negative comment.

You just presumed the guy is the new manager.
You just presumed he'll be a failure.
You just presumed some fans will back him to the hilt if kisses the badge.

All I'm trying to state is regardless of who the new manageris he should have the support of the fans.
If the new manager is a flop then he will be out the door but to not give them a chance and be on there back from day one is unacceptable.

04 Dec 2017 11:52:44
what horrible negative comment i stated a fact that he looked lost, you jumped on it and put your spin on it, i don't fancy him as the manager as he is a bottler regarding the mhanks and will take us nowhere, its my opinion as a gers supporter to say what i think is the best for my club, in all of the comments i have posted on here regarding mcinnes i have never said i would not support the manager if he is picked

04 Dec 2017 18:38:47
Eh?
"it's a disaster waiting to happen". that's negative and unsupportive.

At least read your own comments.

03 Dec 2017 23:49:38
I don’t get this crap about McInnes being the best man for the job, the way I see it is if I was a Motherwell or Hearts fan and my club appointed McInnes then I would think that’s an ok appointment. I certainly wouldn’t be thinking WOW that’s a fantastic appointment. It’s so average it’s not real and as I’ve said many times before I’d much prefer to keep Murty in caretaker role until an OUTSTANDING candidate becomes available or until such times as good results dictate that he be given it permanent on a 1yr rolling deal. (12 from 18 not bad but improvement required to earn that deal)
