I still think we something at the back as we will be up against some heavy weight punt up the park teams in this league and think no one is commanding enough or a decent header of the ball sorry to hype on about this watch the amount of goals conceded from set plays I hope I'm wrong but don't have confidence in that area the rest is looking good c'mon the bear watp

Rangers have made a third, "take it or leave it bid" of £300,000 for Scott Allan which is much improved to that, of initial bid of £175,000

Sky Sports reporting that we have made a third bid for Allan

Believable3 Unbelievable1

04 Aug 2015 18:59:04
Why are we bothering?
They have already said a dozen times they won't sell to us.
Unless it's at least £600,000, then we are really wasting our time.

Agree3 Disagree2

04 Aug 2015 19:08:22
heres hoping its 3rd time lucky, the player holds all the power here if its anything over 350k and its rejected he has to down tools till it goes through

Agree3 Disagree3

04 Aug 2015 20:50:15
he cannot down tools without penalties if hibs keep him they get nothing next year if he downs tools hibs can suspend him pay no wages fine him net year they still get nothing but have saved a sesasons wages gained some money through fines and did not sell to rangers

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Aug 2015 21:01:52
surely allan or his agent have to start rocking the boat a bit in order to push this deal over the line, he could at least show a lack of effort in training or on the park I'm sure he couldn't get fined for that

Agree0 Disagree2

04 Aug 2015 21:44:10
He is a professional y would he do that he's put in the request what more u want the boy to do Rangers must have known that bid was getting rejected y waste there's and hibs time!

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Aug 2015 22:16:48
I can only think the extra few thousand here and there gers are offering is to make Scott Allan more desperate for the move to happen and maybe make him or his agent make a public plea for the move, it's certainly not giving hibs anything to think about from a financial point of view

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2015 22:25:31
I don't think Warbs would be impressed if he heard he started pullin that crap.It shows he could do it with us if he wanted away,if/when we get him.

04 Aug 2015 17:03:54
gallagher going to stmirren does that count as selling to a title rival

Believable3 Unbelievable3

04 Aug 2015 17:30:00
Not that bothered to see him go tbh, don't think he fits into the style of w+w, he did quite well amongst a bad bunch the times I seen him last season but for the way we'll be playing in the coming season couldn't see him fitting in, good luck to the lad though and have to disagree with a few bears on here and say I think Stevie may will finish with 30+ goals if he comes up here, wouldn't be a bad 1 out 1 in imo

Agree7 Disagree1

04 Aug 2015 18:20:55
Did we get any money for him, or was it a free transfer?

Agree1 Disagree1

04 Aug 2015 18:48:57
Of course it is selling to a title rival. St. Mirren are an unknown quantity just now as they are rebuilding too.
If they get their act together then they could be capable of being up there with Hibs and hopefully ourselves.
We have to give these teams a bit of respect until the season has been going for a couple of months.

Agree3 Disagree2

05 Aug 2015 09:05:08
Gdawg I honestly think that was one of most ridiculous posts I've ever seen! He should show a lack of effort in training or a game! U for real mate? That's got to be a wind up? U seriously want a player who would just stop trying in training or games at your club? Behave urself! Offer hibs decent money for the boy and they might entertain use! your 1st bid was 175 grand and 2 bids later Uve still not got by the 300 grand mark! And I thought we were meant to be the club with the biscuit tin mentality!

Perhaps it's just the paper's we read but I for one saw no reports at all on the spitting incident in the Peterhead game ---- could it be that all the gallant reporter's were too busy with the two or three Rangers supporter's causing a bit of a fuss at the away end???

Think St. Mirren will be a tough game.
Hope giving them Calum Gallagher doesn't come back to bite us.

Agree1 Disagree3

04 Aug 2015 16:41:52
I think it will be a 4 goal win at least.with a full stadium and atmosphere I think the boys will really take to it and put on a brilliant display for the fans

04 Aug 2015 17:12:38
Got to say I find selling him to our next opponents is absolutely staggering!! Surely they could have sold him after the game? Cannot believe we have done something so Amateurish as this

Agree3 Disagree1

04 Aug 2015 19:11:14
i think it shows the confidence warburton has in his self and his team that he's let a decent young player go to a rival, he was never going to feature for us and frees up a place for another warburton gem

Agree2 Disagree1

04 Aug 2015 20:50:59
Sad to see Gallagher go especially when it looks like Clarke is staying. All Clarke does is run about with very little goal threat. Really surprised that Gallagher goes and the ineffectual Clarke stays

Just off the phone to the ticket office regarding my season ticket. Asked about season ticket sales and was told we have sold 33, 500. Hopefully that number is closer to 35,000 by Friday and the woman I spoke to said they expect numbers to peak at approx 40,000 by christmas.
Great effort bears, a healthy number and with one final push I don't see why we can't hit 35,000 by Friday.

Are we really needing Scott allan are we not getting a bit excited with the hype is he not just another young man who will fade away

Believable2 Unbelievable4

04 Aug 2015 14:12:02
we have obviously spoke to john viola boys agent and made promises if that's the case we cannot break our word like hibs

Agree3 Disagree1

04 Aug 2015 12:13:04
I think we still need a commanding defender
As we seem quite weak to cross balls anybody else see this or am I being negative

Believable1 Unbelievable5

04 Aug 2015 12:31:19
I would say give the guys we bought a chance they had 2 games together

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Aug 2015 12:36:15
Don't need to bring anyone in Garybates, but I do think Wilson is a bit lightweight.
He is young enough to bulk up though. That aside we are fine in central defence and have cover.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Aug 2015 13:03:25
Was a major weakness last season and in first half in hibs game. Although we won 6-2 it is worth remembering we could easily of been 3 down after 30 mins.

Can't see us going for another central defender though. Hopefully we will be better this season at stopping the crosses in the first place.

I still think a potent striker and creative midfielder are required.

Has anyone heard anything about John Eustace? This one seems to have dragged on a bit. Last I heard they were accessing his fitness before signing

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Eustace will be signing either this week or next week. Warburton himself has stated john will be signing.

BIGWULL. at least a family member is still involved but no reason ie health why he has "walked away" Surely our board are not at the point of not speaking with each other? This is the point were transparency is vital to keep the fans on side.

04 Aug 2015 07:58:04
"Mr Park feels he cannot at this time make a full contribution to the running of the Club and Company because of other commitments."

the guy is 65, He has done what needed to be done to get rangers under control of rangers men.

also it's his son that is taking his place.

Agree3 Disagree2

04 Aug 2015 13:11:05
douglas park is 65 and is very hands on at his car and bus buisnesses and basically his son will attend board meetings and keep him informed as to what's happening he deserves a vote of thanks for being pat of the team that has got us back on even keel

Agree2 Disagree1

04 Aug 2015 02:13:34
I thought we'd maybe be in search for a more clinical finisher but it appears that will be the signings completed after agreeing a two year deal with John Eustace.

There will be a few other young one's come into the rank Think we are looking at Partick Thistle's defender, Jack Hendry for cover at the back and sure he may be pipped into the 1st team squad

Believable2 Unbelievable2

04 Aug 2015 13:17:56
I would give the strikers we have a chance to shine under Warburton, I believe they will get more goals with the style of play we now have, remember McCoist in his hay day and boyd for that matter missed a barrel load in games before they scored.
Kenny Miller has come on a as a sub and scored in the last two games.

Genuinely think we can win a cup and get into Europa league. #wato warburton is magic 🎵🎸

Believable2 Unbelievable4

04 Aug 2015 07:17:38
I'd love to win the scottish cup, however it's the cup all teams care about. I reckon if we don't get aberdeen or celtic(expect for the final) then we are in with a big chance, however trusting our luck our first spl opposition this year will be one of them(happily take them on at ibrox)

Agree2 Disagree2

04 Aug 2015 07:47:41
Connor96 think more about getting our accounts in place before we get anywhere near Europe and please wait until about Christams before "dreaming".

Having not been on this site for a number of months, it is so refreshing to see virtually all of the posts being about the team i.e. tactics, players, possible transfers etc.

I know we have had more than our fair share of false dawns, but it certainly seems as if we are turning a corner and Bears are walking around with a smile on their faces actually looking forward to games again.

Long may it continue.
