Great point about goldson. I think he’s ok and don’t query his selection, but I have never seen a player so consistently head the ball so high in front of goal. I’m glad someone else has noticed it!
As for Ojo, only Gerrard can explain his inclusion. He’s too terrible and no stats can convince me otherwise. A shocking footballer. If Andy Halliday made only one of his incredibly bad passes or decisions there would be a hundred fans on here slaughtering him.

Coldo that is an easy question to answer. SG made a mistake and failed to do his homework, which is worrying. Here is a news cutting about Ohno from his last loan spell (tells you and SG all you need to know) . "Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo has ended the first half of the 2018/ 19 league season goalless and without an assist during his time on loan at Reims in Ligue 1.

Left hand side of team, middle to front were poor tonight (Kamara and Ojo) . Barasic bailed that side out and my Mom.
Ojo, like Kent, is young and makes the wrong decisions BUT the MASSIVE difference early season last year (pre Kents Celtic Goals etc) . is the defensive workrate.
Example tonight being that the YB left back broke into the box early 1st half and Scott Arfield covered him whole way back. opposite side, Kamara and Ojo joggers.
Similarly when Jack went off injured, Arfield moved back to Jack's position.
Don't blame Tav for 2nd goal. 1st one, just boot ball out for throw in.
Think a few players are carrying knocks and will benefit from International break.

I honestly think Gerrard needs to pull the finger out in terms of subs. He rarely makes a change when things are balanced. Only gets proactive when we're comfy or in desperate need of a change. Could have thrown barker on for ojo for fresh legs, or king or halliday for extra protection down the left. I've never known a manager who doesn't use all his subs as often as SG. In the end it's two terrible errors which he can't legislate for but there was no reason not to make a change before that.

Bgate, so as you say, Tavenrnier crossing is diabolical, and we all know his defending is terrible as can be seen from last night where he single handedly blew our chances of qualifying from the group stage. He is not even a decent team captain.
His saving grace is the fact that he gets to take the penalties and consequently has a decent goal ratio, but anyone taking penalties is bound to score more. Get rid of this liability and whilst we are at it, send Ohno back to Liverpool, he is the new Ejaria! We are not going to win anything until we have a solid reliable right back and a decent right winger. Thankfully Kent will be back soon on the left wing he has been a big miss.

Kamara was great until gerrard took him out the team for no reason. We did have a CB pairing in goldson and katic but gerrard tinkered with that aswell. Look at the team that finished last season gk def mid. We were solid, no need to change that but gerrard persists with aribo who slows it up, ojo who is useless and he keeps changing the cb's. We played on an artificial surface in the qualifiers and twice last season also.
Obviously an advantage to home side but we are used to that with the pitches in our league.
As long as we don't go chasing the game / get in a position where we have to chase the game, then we should be alright and I fancy us to hurt them on the break.

He still seems to divide opinion on here.
What can't be denied is his goalscoring ability.
30+ last season without taking our penalties.
Already into double figures this season.
Outscoring strikers 9 times his value.
Scoring important goals in Europe.
Still to score against them. Does that matter? To some it's the be all and end all.
Others on here say he cost us the league or a cup last season.
Does that mean if we win the league or a cup this season it's all down to him and his goals?
To me that's a huge disrespect to the rest of the team.
Some like Jack and Davis who are playing out their skin most weeks.
Others like McGregor who are consistently good on a weekly basis.
Or Defoe still chipping with goals and loving it. And who's built up a bond with Morelos.
So we can't have it both ways.
When Morelos was out the team last year, it was time for others to step up.
But they never. And thankfully they been shown the Ibrox door marked exit.
His all round play has greatly improved. Still a wee bit greedy at times.
But show me a striker that isn't.
Morelos himself seems to have learned his lesson and matured on the park.
If you believe some on here, it was all down to them willing to chase him out the door for a pittance and buy someone like Cosgrove / Brophy / Cummings instead ( no sniggering at the back )!

You forget one very big point here letsgo, winning a game with 10 men is a lot harder than with 11.At parkhead we had them for the taking until Morelos elbowed brown right in front of the linesman and turned a hard job into a near impossible one. Don't think we're going to find agreement on Morelos and what he did/ didn't do for the team last season. I think what we can all agree is Morelos is a much better player, in a much better team this season.
I really think we can win the league this season with morelos scoring 30+ goals.

Mrgrumpy no one is doubting morelos goals for the team. He is a much better player this year. But he was no use to us in the stands last year because of his attitude, he cost us in big games. How UJ can't see that is mind numbing. If morelos hadn't changed his attitude he wouldn't be at the club. Tell me would fans still be happy if he was getting sent off regularly costing us games and missing crucial games through suspension? Morelos cost us in big games last year and deserved the slack he got, he is a much better player for it👍.

@coldo - Ojo has already contributed more than Kent done last season, Letsgo is spot on with that, we all know kents ability. Morelos silly bookings etc never cost us a league there was plenty of games we dropped points against average teams with Morelos playing 90mins, we lacked the squad depth last season, which we have hopefully got right this season. Only time will tell.

He was sent off 5 times.
Once in the Europa League so we can discard that as we got through on aggregate.
Once in a 4 - 2 victory against Aberdeen so we discard that but credit him with the win as he scored 2 goals and was outstanding that night.
Once in the first game of the season where Aberdeen scored late on and the red card was rescinded. So we'll forgive him that one?
So that leaves 2.
A 1 - 0 defeat to Aberdeen. So we'll give you the benefit of the doubt and Blane him for this one.
That leaves the Celtic 2 - 1 game, where unsporting behaviour from Brown to gain his so called best team in Scotland an advantage gets Morelos sent off ( and he nearly got your hero Kent sent off also ) .
But it was Tavs mistake that cost us the draw when we had them on the ropes

letsgo, its like debating with a 5 year old, were you happy with Morelos' attitude last season? You were not in the slightest bit angry or let down when he saw red at parkhead? He got a suspension that ruled him out of our biggest game of the season against aberdeen in the semi final, for arguing with the ref, petulance if you like, if you are willing to keep making excuses for his old behaviour then good for you but I'm not.

You can't blame Morelos when they don't.
So now that he's changed and if we win the league this season it's solely down to Morelos? No, I didn't think so.
Read my post above again regarding his 5 sending offs and come back and tell me he cost us the league.
And considering most of his sending offs came against Aberdeen who's to say he would have stayed on the park in the semi final, never mind scored?
