Think a lot of you guys don't like the thought of some ex players coming back but, I think Aluko would be the perfect guy to link up the midfield with Morales. Can hold onto the ball a lot better than Pena and is more of a goal threat. His all round game is far better and much more suited to us. Not slating Pena. He's just not fitting into our type of football. Also Reading are having a shocking season so far

03 Nov 2017 21:01:27
Aluko is definitely a player I'd look to bring in if he was available but I'd imagine he would cost a few bob. Not sure I'd play him as the link man more as a partner for morelos as in my opinion he's crying out for someone playing a lot closer to him I'd like to see us give herrera or Miller a run with morelos as a front two

04 Nov 2017 07:32:24
Aluko would walk in to our team. cracking player

04 Nov 2017 11:57:56
Reading just bought Aluko from Fulham for about 7.5mil. Dream land if you think we'd have a chance of signing him. Plus his wages will be astronomical.

04 Nov 2017 12:33:55
I don't think we’d have a chance but i'm just stating the obvious that he's some player and would walk in to our team

05 Nov 2017 09:53:59
Herrera shouldn't get a seat on the team bus never mind a starting place, as for pena I'll have no problem slating him bladesyπŸ‘

05 Nov 2017 09:56:40
Alukos sister would walk into our team as well.

Has anyone heard that Ally is coming back as a coach for the forwards?
Heard from a usually good source –not a Rangers fan but involved in football.

03 Nov 2017 15:22:19
can i just send my best wishes to Fernando Ricksen and his family it seems his health has deteriorated. i am sure my thoughts will be echoed by both sides of the city. a real rangers legend.

03 Nov 2017 15:35:06
I second that sentiment.

03 Nov 2017 16:59:25
Yeah its a horrible disease and fernando is only 41 imagine knowing you're going to die and leave your family behind it must be devastating beyond belief, my heart goes out to anybody cruelly put in that position

03 Nov 2017 17:20:11
My brother in law had MND and for 5 years we could do nothing other than keep him as happy and comfortable as we could as he wasted away before our eyes till he died at 41.As you say terrible disease, every sympathy with Fernando and his family.

03 Nov 2017 17:29:07
We are all going to die sometime but the fact he is so young makes it a whole lot worse. I am sure they will finally find a cure for this disease but it is probably going to be a long way off. Anyway as i said thoughts are with his whole family at this sad time. I still cannot believe it.

03 Nov 2017 17:55:18
Who can forget Gazza? Like it or not he also has an illness, granted not the same or severe as Fernando but just like him he is and always will be a bear, my thoughts, best wishes and love to their families go out equally.

03 Nov 2017 18:51:07
I probably shouldn't get upset but we get some really strange people on here. Who would press disagree about poor Fernando-whether you liked him or rated him as a player the guy is dying from a horrible terminal illness where his mind remains active but his body slowly bit by bit gives up on him to the point of death. I'd like the person/ persons who disagree to come on and let us know why they think we should feel no sympathy for the guy and his family.

03 Nov 2017 19:27:32
A friend of the Ricksen family has just come out and rubbished these rumours. Fernando is no worse, thank God. Can't get my head around why anyone would start rumours like that. Sick f*cks

03 Nov 2017 20:16:36
rtrnrf if that was a dig at me about starting rumours. I would never be that sick to report rumours i merely stated what the press were reporting. whatever the case it is still obvious that Fernando will not be getting any better and it is still pretty a sad sight to see him suffer like this. my prayers are with him through this difficult time.

03 Nov 2017 20:46:06
Absolutely disgusting that some moron should press disagree. You should be ashamed of yourself

05 Nov 2017 09:38:54
Tragic seeing a once fit athlete deteriorate like this, i hope he lives out the rest of his life surrounded by love from all quarters. A worthy opponent and an even better man. God bless FR

05 Nov 2017 09:42:10
Just seen a picture on FB and he is in a hospital bed looks like the poor guy is at the end of a long fight
God bless you Fernando a true Ranger
I can see you and Davie Cooper showing all up there how it’s done.

03 Nov 2017 14:45:54
Thinking about the candidates in the hot-seat shake up. Not all have worked with a DOF. I may be wrong, but I'd be interested to hear fellow bears thoughts on this, and if it would put some off the job?

05 Nov 2017 09:44:45
Hope it puts McInnes off.

05 Nov 2017 09:43:10
A confident and capable manger like DM will work well with the DOF. Not only does DM really understand and value what we are about, but he is a modern scientific manager with finger on the pulse. He will relish and thrive on the opportunity to mange and lead The Rangers.

03 Nov 2017 12:09:23
FIRST time poster here. i'm sorry but i disagree with McLean Walker and Moult. Moult the exception ( iw would take him) but don't rate walker at all and Mclean isn't anything special. are they really the players needed to add to 54? or get into Europe? NO! we need players proven at the European Stage. We are the worlds most successful club and we need to start acting like it again. DM is not the man t take us forward, maybe he would steady the ship but then what? if we really want to compete with Celtic we need to be able to recruit players of similar quality Dembele sinclair roberts> moult mclean walker. For me its pardew or Big sam. successful at big clubs, will get the best out of players and hopefully be able to attract big names as they have contacts and more importantly a reputation. An investment in a quality manager is crucial look what brenda did at celtic. we need someone who is ambitious and wants to win the league not finish second. we are the biggest club in scotland that have been reduced to an embarrassmnet over the last few years. we need star power. who would you guys like to in charge and realistically what players could we bring in?

03 Nov 2017 12:49:55
Where is this money coming from? Unless someone has a spare Β£20-30 million in there back pocket.

03 Nov 2017 13:08:28
This annoys me, McIness has pushed Aberdeen as far as he can on the budget and resources that are available to him. He would be joining a club with three times budget of Aberdeen. All this about buying European proven players is stupid, it stems from building a new culture at Rangers, Mark Allen and his scouting team has the contacts not the Manager moving forward. Celtic have a Base of Scottish talent supplemented by quality who didn't cost the earth, we need to replicate and bring through quality like Celtic have done with Tierney, Macgregor etc and then supplement with quality players 2 a season for 3 to 4m each. If we had a better base last year we could have spent what PC had on 2 very good up and coming players with a resale value. The days of throwing good money after bad on foreigners who are useless and past it will never be again.

03 Nov 2017 13:18:14
Why people still going about big Sam between Mcinnes . moyes . pardew for manager unless you give him a bung then he might be interested

03 Nov 2017 14:10:02
listen i agree that we shouldn't go for walker as i think we need a better winger than him as his form shows this season if he managed to start the way he finished last season then yes i'd like to have him bger on the left like we have on the right

03 Nov 2017 15:07:19
Don't imagine a lot will agree, but I honestly think that Windass has been better than Walker this season, although he is far from the finished article, he takes players on and beats them the majority of the time, he's got a very direct approach. Only if his finishing had been better he would be one of the best players for us this season.

He's one of the whipping boys but can anybody honestly say Mckay performed better than him by this time last season? He's only 23 baring in mind.

But we need another left sided players definitely.

03 Nov 2017 17:16:07
I would rather we went for Jordan jones of killie than walker.

03 Nov 2017 17:21:29
Detmclane - the money McInnes has spent is a red herring. You can bett if he went for those players as Rangers manager the price would have at least doubled.
C EST la vie!

03 Nov 2017 17:39:15
That's not a bad shout Jaws. Only if we could get him for a reasonable price. Canny have Killie ripping the erse oot us like Hibs and Hearts.

03 Nov 2017 05:31:36
I know I'm late to the party on this one but Ryan Jack having another red card resindered? . both occasions (Hibs/ Killy) it was the turning point and difference from achieving maximum points . 6 points man! 6 points!

Difference between second and where we are sitting now in my opinion, huge difference to moral and putting serious psychological pressure on Celtic. moments like this change games and we've had too many go against us this year already. Difference between PC keeping his job or not as football is a cruel world (though I'm well over PC) . Not to mention the Motherwell game where they should have been down to 10 men by half time.

I don't like conspiracy theories but I've spoken to rangers fans who feel there is an anti rangers agenda and ya getting harder to argue with them .

What do you guys think? . if you're responding "they'll balance themselves out in the end". I have no doubt we'll finish 2nd or first πŸ˜‚.

03 Nov 2017 09:27:54
How’s Vietnam this time of year joeifish? πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

03 Nov 2017 09:28:20
4 points mate but whatever

03 Nov 2017 09:34:28
im not into conspiracy theory at all but i do agree. certainly the killy game. i am sure if jack wasnt sent off and that 5 minute delay taking the penalty it would have been scored otherwise and killy wouldn't have got up the field and scored.

that said jack needs to stop getting himself in the situation where the ref has decision to be made.

03 Nov 2017 09:58:52
Vietnam is wet. but at least I can access Rangers TV.

Yes, 4 Points, my bad, but that is still a telling difference to the league table, team morale and adding pressure to the teams above.

Totally agree with comment about Jack. If he builds a bad boy reputation the situation will only get worse. Needs to reign it in.

03 Nov 2017 10:18:23
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Always gives me a giggle when u post joelifish! your English is certainly improving anyway πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜œπŸ˜œπŸ˜œ

03 Nov 2017 13:49:25
5 points dum dum

03 nov 2017 15:35:44
5 points negri at least you can count took two of them to get it wrong twice there lmao

04 Nov 2017 04:35:53
Haha. thank you all. For the record, every time I come on here I always get an English lesson on what not to do. I mean, you guys do get taught punctuation in school right? . You’re made to go to school for 11 years yet most of you don’t seem to have picked any up. Hope this Rangers team makes progress at a significantly more accelerated rate. 😜 (seriously, enjoy the bants on here. WRTP)

05 Nov 2017 09:31:31
I don't believe in agendas mate that's just being paranoid but i do believe in bad luck which we’ve had but there's been pkenty of times over the years were its went FOR us so you just take the good with the bad and move on

05 Nov 2017 09:32:07
What makes you think we would have automatically beaten Hibs had he stayed on?

Midfielders - Part 3

03 Nov 2017 03:41:04
{Ed's Note - we have posted a new article entitled, Midfielders - Part 3

02 Nov 2017 22:42:30
It's Moyes for me. Proven Manager in English premier League and also managed in top european league. Sir Alex didn't pick him for nothing. Much as Derek McInnes would be ok. Moyes is higher profile and also he is out of work. We can use the 1.5 million for new players. Before anyone comes on greeting about what has Moyes done. Just ask the same question about Brendan Rodgers.

03 Nov 2017 06:18:01
Dunbar blue, the compensation is 800k for both derek mcinnes and his assistant tony docherty, its not 1.5million quid that some media outlets want you to believe!

03 Nov 2017 10:15:32
Moyes lol no!

05 Nov 2017 09:35:05
Why are some people desperate to assimilate any potential new managers' previous exploits to those of BR? Surely this is illogical! Different club, different person, different circumstances. Give Derek the job and let him get on with it!

05 Nov 2017 09:37:36
amazing - some people don't want Moyes, from a Rangers family, but would take Tony Doherty as assistant manager! Beggars belief!

02 Nov 2017 21:27:01
Just throwing it out there, maybe de boer could be an option, not heard him linked with the job, might be looking to regain reputation after 2 failed jobs, did well at Ajax in Holland. If we go for Mcinnes can only see us attracting low profile players, his lot at the moment and past players.

03 Nov 2017 08:35:56
Van bronkhurst for me

03 Nov 2017 10:16:24
Id take de boer
