Football Comparisons 6 - Rio v Vidic

03 May 2020 23:21:45
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Football Comparisons 6 - Rio v Vidic

03 May 2020 16:27:58
Are we in for another major rebuild for next season or just need to tweek it here and there? Suppose it all depends on departures. Would be amazed if morelos or barisic were still at the club when next season starts up as much needed finance will come from them 2 sales circa 25mill conbined realistically.

03 May 2020 23:21:16
Paul86, we don't need to sell anybody mate, now that ashley is away i seen there are lots of diffrent companies looking to invest in our club, plus the money from selling kits, there will be an amazing amounts of rangers tops sold world wide, now that we know ashley dorsnt get a bean from us, i expect us to put in a better league performence, next season.

03 May 2020 23:22:08
28 mill
U serious?

04 May 2020 01:36:40
Paulellen I've posted on the financal page many a time about the amount of money that can be made from selling strips/ mechandise. Over half the money goes to the retailer ie the shop selling the strip/ mechandise. So the £60 for a top is divided up roughly 55—60% to the shop selling it, 15-20% to distribution storage, 20-30% to the manufacturer. Out of the 20-30% the cost of design, and production of the top, so out of the 60 quid we would only get pennies. We would get a up front payment of £2—3m per season and pennies on each top sold over a certain number. As I've said before the big money is in owing the shops (ie like Liverpool, man u, and the eastend mob) and selling straight to your fan base, not fans buying from JD, SD (yuk) and the likes.

04 May 2020 08:27:45
Pennies for each top is nonsense, that's what happened under SD . We will be selling our tops through our stores and selling the rights to sell them to other stores.

04 May 2020 08:59:50
Isle of mull, unless i'm mistaken did james bisgrove not say we will now own our own megastore again and the club are looking at opening more club official stores again in glasgow and other places.

04 May 2020 11:05:36
Isle of mull . I don't think that will be happening in our case, WE are refurbishing the Ibrox superstore, we have the store in the city centre and one in Belfast I think? Also I have heard that we are trying to open stores in Hong kong, America etc. hope its true.

04 May 2020 11:06:55
IOM, you occasionally make sense, suggest you make yourself informed on subject and come back with revised projections.

04 May 2020 11:20:57
IOM still peddling the same old?

You have been proved wrong again with your doom and gloom predictions.

Take some happy pills and celebrate the end of our Cashley and Sports Direct troubles.

Whilst you are at it, give Dave King some credit for leading us back.

04 May 2020 11:37:05
Ashely has a stake in Castore as well.

04 May 2020 11:34:24
Guys, I think we all agree on one thing, and that is, hopefully we are now in total control of our Retail Business, and from July onwards, we will start to see significant funds coming in over the following year and beyond. Where I agree with IOM, is that the current financial position is unknown to us, and, it would help if we knew that sufficient funding was in place to cover the immediate future under this lockdown situation. I see the media, and the usual suspects filling the papers again today saying that the season needs to end now, I agree, but that doesn't mean that titles or relegation should be assumed, after all they are all discussing a League Restructuring Plan, has to be long term, short term wouldn't be of any use. I couldn't care less about Old Firm games, twice a season would suffice, against anyone.

04 May 2020 11:36:07
Tiiladie said 25 not 28. i think 25mill is realistic price for both of them combined yeah. Barisic probably more likely to be away than morelos with all morelos reds etc team will be put off.

04 May 2020 12:11:07
Big Blue Bear, you’ve just blown any lingering credibility you had with that comment. Unless that was tongue in cheek. Otherwise please entertain us and tell us how you came up with this. Incredible that anyone would waste their time posting this but I do pity you. That’s not me shooting down a rumour incidentally, it’s shutting down negativity intended to divide and annoy. You fail on both accounts.

04 May 2020 13:00:29
As big DJ alway said 'it's all ifs, buts and maybes.

04 May 2020 13:20:33
IOM, poor attempt thought you were better than that.

04 May 2020 14:20:31
IOM, your posts are definitely more positive and lot make a lot of sense. I no you have the club at heart and you seem more hopeful about the future ✌️✌️✌️🇬🇧.

04 May 2020 15:42:22
Tilladie
Think 25m mentioned and not unreasonable. Given money from young Billy, relatively tried/ untested multiplied twice plus more given both, are proven talents u could easily talk 30m plus.

04 May 2020 16:12:58
Iom, 20 million equals, 4 million a year, that's without our commission, mate, nearly catching up with your lot.

04 May 2020 16:41:12
Big blue bear, comments like the above from you in regards shares makes you sound as bad and bitter as our friends from the east. mate, are you sure you support rangers fc pal.

05 May 2020 23:27:33
I. o. m. now that I've had a look at your post again, i recon your way out saying the retailor makes over half the money for the dhirt, i don't agree with that, the shpo either buy to mske a few pound profit, or earn on a commition, ie more sale more profit.

03 May 2020 14:06:09
If it's Castore so be it, slightly underwhelming IMO golf clothing is fortunes But no better than vastly less expensive Gear it's reported they secured 7.5M to break into football and are looking at EPL, Serie A and la liga . any team from those leagues would be looking for serious cash for shirt deal
On the plus point our new commercial guy has a mega cv and seems to be switched on so I'll bow to his vastly superior knowledge of the markets
Roll on august when we can buy gear knowing it's going to the club not the Fat man.

03 May 2020 16:22:19
Imo it has to be minimum what we were getti g from hummel unfortunately nowhere close to the 10mill a year the tims are getting from adidas.

03 May 2020 16:26:53
Paul they r getting 25 million over five years.
I calculate that at 5 mill a year.

03 May 2020 18:03:04
John that would be a great deal if true. I hold my hands up i have not seen any figures as its not been confirmed yet? Or has it? 25 mill is great numbers. Here hoping.

03 May 2020 18:25:18
It is around £30 million over 5 years. So £6 million per year. The old New Balance deal was £25 million.

03 May 2020 19:11:25
I read an article somewhere yesterday and it stated the new castore kit deal was worth an eight figure sum to us and would eclipse the deal we had with hummel. As we know hummel gave us around £3.3million per season, so its going to be more than this per season with castore. So it looks like a really good deal for us.

03 May 2020 19:44:10
SGL, are you sure it's not Nike?

03 May 2020 20:23:29
Sorry john heads up my ass. Misread what u said. I thot we were getting 25million haha. We will be lucky to get 10 from castore i think.

03 May 2020 20:29:31
It could be mate 🤔. Maybe even new balance, under armour, puma, umbro etc! 😂.

03 May 2020 20:25:46
Paul86, the club said they would be making roughly five. Million a season, mate, can't remember which site i read it on, pal.

03 May 2020 21:33:54
Paul I’m referring to what they r getting u said ten a year, it is five
I have no idea what deal rangers are getting s worth.
Sorry if I confused the issue.

03 May 2020 21:40:58
if the deal is the best for us to maximise revenue then so be it - i believe it’s only for a yr so let’s see what it brings

not that it matters to us, but Adidas are bang in trouble financially and are reaching out to German govt for support.

04 May 2020 09:04:59
I heard something similar paulellen,
that its £5million a season from castore or whoever and its not a 1 year deal i heard trev no 7,its a 3 year deal mate. That would then obviously equate to £15million in total over the 3 year deal. that's a good bit more than we were getting from hummel! 👍.

04 May 2020 11:23:17
Paul86, i'm refering to rangers mate, I've read it said we were getting 5 million a season,

04 May 2020 12:20:04
Its a five year kit deal with castore we've signed, worth £20million, ie. £4million per season.
That as i said earlier eclipses the deal we had with hummel. This is brilliant news for our club and its a very good kit deal IMO anyway 👍!
Thats most definitely good money from castore, for our new kit deal!

04 May 2020 14:27:39
If the pictures on line off nexts seasons kits are accurate, they r the best looking we have had in years.

04 May 2020 14:46:59
Got to agree with you Coop✌️👍🇬🇧😃.

04 May 2020 14:55:54
I also read a quote from our very own andy murray, as he stated his tennis gear that's now made by castore, is the best quality he's ever worn since he kicked off his tennis career. That obviously includes his former sportswear firms that used 2 make his tennis kit, ie.
adidas, under armour etc! Muz, i think signed an 8 year deal with castore last year.

04 May 2020 16:09:30
SGL. I also read Murray’s comments, I’m sure fact he is getting one million a year sponsorship helps his views.

04 May 2020 18:34:05
Ano he’s not exactly going to say it’s sh! te.

03 May 2020 14:16:21
There has been rumours for an extra 5,000 seats to be put in place for your 10th Anniversary. Adding on another tier is pie in the sky because the club deck cost £20 million in ‘91.

The options would be to fill in the corners or to lower the pitch again. Your pitch is already a mess without lowering the surface again.

Any construction company would be mad to carry out any work before payment was made first. It is obvious to me Sevco are going to do a Rangers and built up debt and then go into liquidation.

Except this time club and company are separate entities resulting in the club staying in the Premiership and the company being liquidated. A new company will start up debt free.

Is that kind of practice acceptable to you fans?

03 May 2020 14:35:03
Is there no end to your knowledge of all things rangers buzz? 😂 Deary me why on earth would you even thinking about rangers, Ibrox, stadium expansions on a fine sunny sunny Sunday afternoon 🤔.

03 May 2020 14:51:58
Have you ever researched Ingenious film partners buzzbumb? What a read.

03 May 2020 15:15:01
i love it buzz, everything bad that the mighty gers do gets right up your wick, you must suffer from insomnia digging up all this garbage, biggest majority of it is a load of cobblers.

03 May 2020 15:20:59
Buzz bomb obsessed about everything rangers u must sleep, eat, think everything rangers, your just like mutten, fartson, stubbs, mcnamarra
That clown stewart all rangers obsessed that's how we've got new shirt makers, park relayed, upgrading training ground, shops etc keep your obsession up its hilarious reading it 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

03 May 2020 15:24:23
Don’t you talk to us about separate entities.

03 May 2020 15:31:57
Just to let everyone know I've joined this site as I've read great posts from great rangers fans and hilarious posts from the dark side I love and breath our club the dark side can spout there rubbish all they want but we're Rangers then, Rangers now, Rangers forever. 🇬🇧.

03 May 2020 16:22:47
Ha ha! Facts, figures and assumptions from the lawyers, accountants, financial experts and landscapers over at breeze block boulevard. Pmsl! It is really all about The Famous!

03 May 2020 16:24:44
The Ingenious scheme was an individual choice with no liability falling on employers
Walter Smith, Archie Knox, Davie Dodds, Craig Moore, Gordon Durie and Barry Ferguson also chose to use the scheme.

03 May 2020 16:47:53
So that's OK buzzbumb its ethical and sporting to use one form of tax avoidance but not another and is it not a tad hypocritical of you to defend your lot using it by saying our employees used it. You do know and accept that that wee brazilian used EBTs when he played for you don't you?

03 May 2020 17:26:36
Do you see what happens when you come into the grown up world buzzbumb and we find common ground where we can discuss things without calling each other childish names. Rich people find ways of avoiding paying tax, a right that we all have, then HMRC shut them down and make them illegal. They were always unethical but usually legal when they were first used. What do you think are your lot better at avoiding tax than anyone else?

03 May 2020 17:28:26
He wouldn't know that jyf. It's all about the rangers with buzz😉.

03 May 2020 17:44:57
Hey Jyf unlike you we accept our tax liabilities. Why don't you check and you will see that Celtic paid the tax owing on the wee Brazilian

03 May 2020 18:28:16
paranoia.

03 May 2020 18:36:51
Celtic employees paid into the film scheme at source. 👍.

03 May 2020 18:41:19
And what about ingenious film partners mmi? And you're saying its OK to break the rules if you fess up, did you pay the points back?

03 May 2020 20:00:33
He's back, I was getting worried Buzz Bomb, you hadn't been on for a couple of days I noticed. Glad to see normal service resumed with you on a Gers page.

03 May 2020 20:16:02
Did I just read buzz bomb come onto our forum and talk about separate entities 😂.

03 May 2020 20:17:16
Leon can you answer me just one question, why would coca cola and molton brown sponsor a failing business?

Now u may well be a better financial analyst than all the teams at coca cola, molton brown and 32red to name a few. You just never know, think you missed your calling. Heard there maybe a vacancy as chancellor of the country. Just make sure u remember us in your first budget.

03 May 2020 23:23:07
Benjiboy, the only thing buzz really has with the lot you mentioned is, there all skint, they couldn't educate me if they tried, buzz fact, kiddo.

03 May 2020 23:29:41
is that constructive criticism or construction criticism. just can't tell what the attempt was. childish i'm afraid, Buzz.

04 May 2020 11:24:21
Buzz you got a few bites there eh, but what makes you post such stuff on here pal?

Transfer Flops 1: Jo From Moscow To Manchester

03 May 2020 13:58:27
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Transfer Flops 1: Jo From Moscow To Manchester

03 May 2020 17:47:38
The Boys Buzzbomb, The Boys.

03 May 2020 17:51:15
I am picturing the scene way BuzzBUM. Watching the tv on a Sunday afternoon, shaking and sweating then saying “that’s it am going back on that site to talk about the famous Glasgow Rangers” But that’s right it’s just to wind us up?
I have seen many of them here, but he’s the worst yet and to be honest I feel his hurt🤪🇬🇧🇬🇧✌️😷.

03 May 2020 23:24:38
Yately, there have been amount of them on here since we told them, demanded an inquiry, the thing being with lots of investment ready to be invested (buzz) that we are getting closer, i do think we will definitely win the league this season, new players have been watching what's been going on up here, everybody knows the script, They see how we have been treated, i wouldn't bring in too many new recruits, if we sell snd do well, quality rather than quantity, and bring some of our youngsters thru.

04 May 2020 08:37:10
Paulellen, I don't know how to debate with the buzzbumb as I've got him as no older than 13 therefore I don't use big words. I notice he's never active on here after 7.30 pm so I assume he gets sent to bed without his phone.

04 May 2020 16:05:14
I looked for him on the unwashed site and found him straight away, genuinely he was telling the rest of them about a Rangers fan on t.v. Show count down who lost, maybe wee buzz bum was looking for 9 letter words to use on here. There was not one Rangers fan on their site, can anybody think of a 9 letter word for buzz bum. Obsessed.

04 May 2020 16:13:46
Jyf, its not his phone he gets sent to bed with, its whoever wants him, lol.

03 May 2020 11:48:00
Just checked out Castore, the heavily rumoured kit manufacturer. Looks like very decent gear, however I would expect the training gear to be very expensive.

Hopefully this turns out to be an agreement full of prosperity after finally ridding ourselves of the leach, Mike Ashley.

03 May 2020 12:40:51
How do we no Ashley is away is this true people hope so.

03 May 2020 12:49:57
Patmo I reckon any kit would have a ceiling price.

03 May 2020 14:04:48
DSGERSFAN, mike ashley is away, we're rid of him alright. The reason the club isn't shouting, as some say from the rooftops, is because the contract officially ceases at the end of july. Fourladshadadream the most trusted blogger out there by a mile always get the best info on all things rangers. Stevie Clifford stated on his blogg yesterday that mike ashley and sports direct are gone from rangers and we're free from them at last.

03 May 2020 14:14:46
Dsger, ashley couldn't match the deal put on the table, we can't announce sd are off until august mate, fourlads today.

03 May 2020 15:35:00
Supercoop, hope so but don’t believe as straightforward as that.

03 May 2020 19:20:49
It is as straightforward as that bankie and we didn't as some might think have to pay sports direct/ mike ashley any fee to get rid of him.
The contract officially terminates at the end of july. His sports direct mob didn't match the offer we have in place in the specified time. Finito bankie we're at last free of him. Any money we make from our new kit sales is controlled by us and goes direct from us the buying fans, right into our club's coffers. Lovely jubbly! 👍😀.

03 May 2020 23:25:36
Sgl, i feels brilliant now we have got rid of that slob, it feels amazing mate, because as we all know him and his like done all in there power to finish us imo. now the money going to the club will bring us a lot of success, no debt, get some good replacements and, let's go.

03 May 2020 09:41:00
I see yet more money to be invested into upgrading and modernizing our megastore and other Rangers shops.

I so so confused I thought we where going into administration 2.

So that's a new stand built at our training centre, all hospitality suites upgraded and modernised. Planning permission granded and funding secured and in place for Edmindson suite revamp, new pitch, and stadium upgrades completed. Plans to fill the corners in place and costed.

Continued plans to invest in the first team, youth and ladies football. With new signing targets identified.

And now the upgrades to shops. Not to bad for a club that's going into administration.

I'm also really disappointed in the management structure of firms like molton brown and 32red for continue to invest in a club in trouble.

Sack all the teams who are responsible for the investment structure of these companies.

How does all this fit in with the agendas of some of the usual suspects from the dark side.

03 May 2020 10:56:57
It won't fit into the dark sides prayers for our admin 2 Stewarty.

You only have to look back to their panic buying of top paid players when they saw us coming after them, plus the fear of their one horse seasons coming to an end after all these 8 years.

Of course they say they invested in players to compete in the champions league hoping to get past the first round last time.

03 May 2020 11:31:31
Yip stewartyyblue, its only wishful thinking with the obsessive lot who've got bad doses of rangersitis!
They wake up during the night and rangers is the first thing on their small, obsessed pea brains! We're absolutely fine our club mate and they hate the fact we are! 👍👏.

03 May 2020 14:01:56
Stewarty, don't worry mate, that lot will be on hear shortly, just to let us know we are still going into admin, lol.

02 May 2020 13:47:05
just reading our new kit suppler is Castore, the same mob that make andy murrays shirts, might not be so well known, at this moment in time, but that's about to change, if the story is true, sorry s.g.l. Mate. at least we've got a new kit mob, and fat ashleys sports direct are no longer involved at rangers fc.

03 May 2020 08:38:46
Finally sports direct are gone! Now Rangers can get revenue they haven't had in 10 years plus Europa league cash coming for the last 16 its certainly starting to look more healthy now it's been a long wait and times were hard by 2022 we could be looking at being a major player in the spfl again just a few more tweaks and there most definitely will be a challenge again I'm getting excited now cause 99% of the bad guys are gone hopefully we will never allow anyone to control our stores again or assets given to crooks NEVER again there future is looking good.

03 May 2020 06:13:09
When i was young

I bought that suit so I could go.
To see our Gers do nine a row.
We did that nine I’m glad to say.
So I sold it back the other day.
The cash I got was quite a sum.
So I gave it all back to my mum.

04 May 2020 16:14:04
Iggle, do you remember the original song, the one regarding the mcguire lassie?. lol, genuine question mate.

03 May 2020 05:59:16
How many ex gers players can you name that went straight from rangers to play in the EPL? without google😂

I managed to write down a few but will post later as don't want yous getting to like 8 and then forgetting 1/ 4 of the name but still claim to have named 9.

More drama without football being played than when we actually don't have a lockdown.

From cancelled football, dodgey votes and tainted titles to ashley eventually pissin off. Gets more manic by the day

Is it just me or do the tims actually speak about rangers more than their own club? doesn't matter wether its on the news. your mates or even these pages every second sentence has to contain rangers. or their warcry. sevco.

They want the title. well guess what so do we. so why should we be denied that chance? don't care if any you lot or their lot thinknits not possible. hate to burst all your bubbles but yes it is possible.

This voting craps dragged on too long now. i'm a very patient man but if rangers don't have such evidence they claim to have then itl be embarrassing .

Onto fat cat ashley. if there was ever someone i'd love to meet in the boxing ring itd be him. I would punch the guy skinny. money grabbin scumbag.

Cant wait til everythings back to normal where the blue scarfs back on. give the wife a kiss cherio. on bus to underground. all the young gers fans bangin their hands on the sides of the underground train, stompin their feet and singin all the way to ibrox. sitting down on my blue chair and cheering the famous all the way to 55.

03 May 2020 14:02:35
Iggle, nice one mate, i go to ibrox by car, but the flash backs i just got, banging the tube walls, singing till our hearts are content, brilliant, pal,
