Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

03 Mar 2020 21:47:36
I've just watched Billy Gilmour get the Man of the Match award v's Liverpool, the boy is pure class, what a performance. I would love to see a couple of our youngsters coming through, as it would save us £millions a season, and, possibly make us £Millions in the future.

03 Mar 2020 23:03:27
Unreal talent. What a baller. Wonder if his dad is Happy?

04 Mar 2020 04:57:17
I think stephen kelly, nathan paterson, kai kennedy are very highly rated to make the breakthrough into the rangers first team. There's nothing better than seeing you're home grown talent coming through to be big players in the first team.
Barry ferguson, alan hutton and now billy gilmour, who unfortunately isn't with us anymore but what a baller this young 19 year old is!

04 Mar 2020 17:42:02
I just feel our youngsters don't even get a chance to prove what they can do. Manager needs to slowly drip feed them into the team for the system to work but at the moment its not happening consistently. Even if they have a bad game with the first team the manager needs to keep giving them a chance to shine, its not going to happen straight away. I feel paterson got a small chance but now has been forgotten about, yes tav is in that position but that's the only way its going to work if first team players get a rest. I understand going forward each game right now is very important to us, but its always going to be like that. Need more faith in them and the gems will start to show.

03 Mar 2020 21:31:48
Billy Gilour mom v Liverpool, what did we lose there?

03 Mar 2020 22:06:12
Chelsea offered 2k a week wages I read. We couldn't or wouldn't match it at the time.

04 Mar 2020 02:42:32
Was more like £20k a week.

04 Mar 2020 00:30:26
Far as I know he and his family were made a good offer, they chose to take the money and head to London, great tonight, let’s see where he is in 3 years, he walked away from the biggest club he will ever play for, so did Charlie whatsisname and the Barry superstar guy, were are they now?

04 Mar 2020 05:00:47
To be honest Tommybloo12,billy gilmour is way ahead of the aforementioned by yourself. He'll make it bigtime pal, i don't think there's any doubt about that. The 2 you mention above wouldn't get anywhere near the chelsea first team never mind looking superb in that sort of company! Gilmour is pure quality!

04 Mar 2020 07:24:45
My point through the week as I asked when was the last academy player given a chance in the first team squad. Lewis McLeod someone said. there's another big problem at our club.

04 Mar 2020 08:00:21
Problem is, when are any of our promising youngsters going to be given a chance in the first team? As long as a Rangers manager is under pressure to win silverware, and the pressure now is greater than ever, he is unlikely to take risks with untried young players. Ally McCoist had the chance to bring some youngsters through when we were dumped down into division 3 but didn't so I can't see Gerrard doing so now.

04 Mar 2020 08:25:12
I agree Doiger but if we are going to keep SG I wouldn't give him more money. His signings have been poor and we can't afford to fritter anymore money away.

04 Mar 2020 08:36:27
On this thread we’ve moved from talking about the sublime talent of young Gilmour to snide remarks of ex players and the chances SG gives them, you must all remember when a Green and his cohorts came in they asset stripped everything we had from Arsenal shares to any young talent they could sell they shut down the scouting system cut right back on youth coaches, so when SG came in he had to build from scratch and as mentioned above we have got some young talent back in but you can’t just throw them in against physical teams like we have in Scotland in that game last night he was allowed to play as he was on the park with others who could play, can you imagine up here he’d be taken out early to stop him and same with any other young talent so they need to have more body strength to hold off that type of player I’m sure the young players we have if good enough will get their chance remember our young players are now playing in European youth leagues against older players so they will reap the benefit and let’s just see how far they can go.

04 Mar 2020 09:10:06
So what about some of the kids in the youth team now twacoos? Can't they be given a chance? What happened to Josh McPake for instance?

04 Mar 2020 10:08:26
Agreed Doiger. You can't tell me their isint talent there.

04 Mar 2020 10:09:06
have to remember our league is full of hammer throwers and the refs are happy to watch them bully and kick young skilled players about. Hagi is a prime example.
younger players in England need skill but are afforded protection especially in the top league.
our league is a disgrace, and its another reason why we do better in europe.

04 Mar 2020 13:34:19
Keep SG but give him no money 😱😱 seriously AS1974 you moan he’s not won anything but that’s your plan to turn that around how the F! k does that work?

04 Mar 2020 13:44:19
DOIGER : yes we have some decent young players my point was we can’t rush them you can coach skills but you can’t coach maturity young players take time to develop especially up here where players of less ability get bullied last night allowed gilmour to play up here he’d be taken out first chance as he isn’t as strong as older journeymen so patients is needed and blood them when we are winning.

04 Mar 2020 15:31:42
Whether its Ally in the bottom league or SG now, there is always the pressure of winning every game at Rangers. There are some decent kids with us just now, and I would like to see some of them given a chance if and when its mathematically impossible to win the league this season, and then get more of them training with the first team squad in the summer.

04 Mar 2020 16:24:09
Guys u ask why mcpake, barjonnas etc etc are not playing for us, they can’t get games at Dundee, raith Morton Rotherham Plymouth Dumbarton and the likes.
Be honest how many of you go and watch our reserves or academy players.

04 Mar 2020 17:44:49
McPake went to Dundee first half of the season and was too lightweight, got bullied by grown men. Needs to develop his physique a bit.

03 Mar 2020 21:31:26
How did we manage to lose young Gilmour. we should have pulled the stops out to keep that boy. unlike the great unwashed across the city. they keep their talent and sell them for millions. our mob just don’t have a clue these days .

03 Mar 2020 21:46:51
Classy performance.

Scotland would be mad not to get him into their squad for the Euro playoffs.

03 Mar 2020 21:49:44
Didnt have a clue but not now 👍.

03 Mar 2020 22:19:26
True blue, yip, i watched the game mate, young gilmour was defenetly one i would have loved us to keep, but it was his call, end he went down bye. i think there are more like him at our place right now. i hope so,

04 Mar 2020 02:20:56
We didn't 'lose' Gilmour, he wanted to leave. He and his family played us for fools, especially his dad, then took the money and ran.

04 Mar 2020 16:25:24
True blue he did not want to play on this side of Glasgow, his father ensured that would not happen.

03 Mar 2020 21:30:05
First time I've seen Doc play for Hibs and to be honest if that is his normal game he's not anywhere near what we need.

03 Mar 2020 22:48:19
Have only been sayin this since the day he signed for us.

04 Mar 2020 08:49:29
Aye the brilliant, wonderful, amazing Docherty couldn’t help an inform Hibs beat the bottom of the league Hearts so why would he have been in any better in an out of form Rangers side?

04 Mar 2020 09:50:41
That bottom of the league side have beat Rangers twice in the past month and a half.

03 Mar 2020 20:36:55
Glasgow Rangers really need to take the SFA to task . the boy Mcnulty blatantly plants a foot on the back off a heatrs player . and gets away with it . if its one of our players he walks regardless whom it is and guess whos refereeing . CLANCY . remember a penalty against us for something that happens in every game.

03 Mar 2020 21:39:42
Our defeat to hearts doesn't look so bad now as the timco tribute team got gubbed 3 - 1 by hearts.

03 Mar 2020 23:07:18
Lol yeah hearts bottom of the table beating you doesn't look so bad as they beat the mighty hibs.

03 Mar 2020 20:09:18
Watching Edinburgh derby, our refereeing standards are shocking bordering on embarrassing you won't see a clearer red card than mcnulty stamping on the boy Sean Clares back Clancy looking right at it not even a yellow 😱😱.

03 Mar 2020 20:52:24
Jibjo I think he saw the green and white and got mixed up for a minute 🇬🇧.

03 Mar 2020 18:55:02
So chances of getting Billy Gilmour on loan next season? Improvement on what's served up now?

03 Mar 2020 19:23:18
Not for me, lad did not want to play for us.
I’d rather Kelly given a chance.

03 Mar 2020 19:46:39
Im with you john25. i'd rather give our own youngsters a shot. That said young Billy Gilmour won't be going anywhere on loan. Lampard loves him and he has a massive future at Chelsea. Looking forward to seeing him tonight.

03 Mar 2020 19:54:55
Billy gilmour would be a tremendous loan signing IF we could get him. I honestly think he'd be out of our reach. He's already a tremendous midfielder who will get better and better. Chelsea most definitely done their homework on young gilmour and knew exactly what they were getting with this very talented young man.

03 Mar 2020 20:01:41
no chance he will be allowed . just been watching the first 10 minutes and he looks a natural.

03 Mar 2020 20:09:07
1st 25 mins he has been pure class.

03 Mar 2020 20:14:13
Keep hearing great things about the boy Kelly, look forward to seeing him in first team squad next season.

03 Mar 2020 20:15:28
Just at Bridge and Gilmour playing lovely game. Came to me if he was still ger wouldn't be getting first team football but in Chelsea first team within season. He ain't coming back but still looks as if his mither cuts hair!

03 Mar 2020 20:32:02
Not wasted a pass yet.

03 Mar 2020 20:37:24
😂😂😂His barnet is a cracker millerbrandwilson but what a performance from that young man in the first half. he's 18 and looks like he's been playing at that standard for years.

03 Mar 2020 21:41:10
Man of the match tonight. Unbelievable performance!

03 Mar 2020 18:11:46
Listened to his statment he says rangers need him do we really tho.

03 Mar 2020 18:50:59
DsgersfN where does Alf say we need him.

03 Mar 2020 18:54:10
Yes . what we don’t need is a section of the support calling for managers head after a couple of poor results . Thankfully it’s a very very small section of the support . . Let’s show Stevie tomorrow night guys how much we want and need him.

03 Mar 2020 19:18:19
Wouldn’t start with Fredo either! Sir on the bench he can😡😡😡😡🇬🇧.

03 Mar 2020 19:44:07
Hope the fans show how much the majority of the support want him as manager tomorrow night by giving him a great reception.

03 Mar 2020 19:50:58
Dsgersfan don’t think he meant it in a big headed way think he means turmoil of a whole new management team coming in would cause, suppose it’s all about context
You see it one way as you’re not a fan, me another as I support him.

03 Mar 2020 19:56:53
Well said molsgoals! My thoughts also mate! I most certainly will be showing my total backing for steven gerrard tomorrow night at ibrox! 👏👏.

03 Mar 2020 20:38:17
This is not a dig but a serious question, If the worst was to happen tomorrow night would he still have your TOTAL backing?

03 Mar 2020 20:39:22
Fairness the boy Gilmour has had a fantastic first half.

03 Mar 2020 20:57:34
Yes jyf, because if said since gerrard was appointed rangers manager, that i'd be willing to give him 3 full season's at it! Just my opinion pal!

03 Mar 2020 21:26:26
It was SG that said we need him as coach.

03 Mar 2020 22:41:43
Dsger. well we do, . what’s the problem with that?

03 Mar 2020 15:05:53
Heres a question for you lot and be as honest as you can. if an offer of 5 million for every player on our 1st team came in who would you keep? Banter page and know it won't happen . just having a debate

Here are my keepsies

Kent
The fridge
Aribo
Arfield
Kamberi (if we sign him)
Hagi (same as above)
Jack
Barasic (if he doesn't have same view as agent)
Tav (if he's stripped of captaincy)

The rest i'd sell.

03 Mar 2020 15:45:56
Would keep Morelos as I think we should be getting more than £5m. And I would take £5m for Tav in a heartbeat. Other than that pretty much agreed.

03 Mar 2020 16:10:16
sell the lot.

03 Mar 2020 16:37:05
I was expecting big money for Morelos but who’s going to take a punt on him now. His attitude is disgusting and still has problems with discipline.

03 Mar 2020 17:52:44
You wouldn't take 5m for edmundson? Oh dear gave up after that.

03 Mar 2020 18:13:44
I would also sell Jack, Aribo, Tav and Arfield as it would mean we'd have made a huge profit on all 4.👍.

03 Mar 2020 21:21:38
Without doubt keep Alfie, think some of the comments about him have been O.T.T., he came back a day late he's paid the price for it. would never be out my team.

04 Mar 2020 00:17:19
Mental post, wouldn't take 5m for edmundson but would for morelos 🤷‍♂️.

03 Mar 2020 15:02:29
Gerrard will see out his FULL managerial contract with rangers. when have you ever known him to give in? Unless he's pushed out the door or another top team where he can win trophies come in for him heel stay at rangers.

Still think fredo should be dripped permanently from our team. i'm not 2 faced been saying it for weeks. before the winter break he was unplayable bangin goals in for fun. when it became clear he wasnt being sold in january that's when he spat the dummy and dropped all interest in rangers. bo heart or commitment anymore so drop him and punt him.

Next on my target list is barasic's agent saying borna won't be here next season because he's too good for us. well mate! No individual is bigger than rangers and if borna has same attitude as his agent he can do one aswell
. onto captain tav. he should be given til end of season then either arfield or jack be given it. just don't think tavs captain material. not saying he's a bad player. Just not a captain.

Shagger 1 more season
Davis no more after this season because he's no good anymore. ;
Still think someones either had a fall out with someone in dubai. or half the team don't give a foxtrot about the domestic side of things. if you don't want to play for rangers domestically then dont. Throw your boots in the bin because don't want or need you.

If we can somehow manage to win 100% games from now til final game in may we will steal this league from their mhanky clutches i gauruntee it. i'm a serial optimist and always will be. but 1 more defeat / draw its done.
Win against hamilton then beat them after that's us down to 9 points. game in hand down to 6 with another old firm game to go potentially down to a measly 3 points.

Theres no doubt we have the players to win every game we get from now til may. just need our players to get that winning mentality back.

03 Mar 2020 18:08:22
One more season for MacGregor, keep Goldson, Katic, Barasic, sell Tav as he is toilet.
Davis is finished, keep Jack, Arfield, Hagi, Aribo, Kent, Kamberi,
Defoe. Everyone else out the door.

03 Mar 2020 18:10:41
Yasss Stevie’s press conference class.

03 Mar 2020 18:25:07
Think your going too far saying Davis is finished!

He has this season in him at least!

Then maybe after that he himself may decide his future

Davis has been a wonderful servant for Rangers in previous stint and this one! So disrespectful richie1471

Davis is one of us don't forget that! Love the boy.

03 Mar 2020 18:52:20
Kaz we have signed him for one more season after this one.

03 Mar 2020 18:56:22
Davis struggling since being booted off the park by Aberdeen. Might take him a wee bit yet to get back to early form.

03 Mar 2020 19:59:16
Steven Gerrard is pure class! He'll get us there, i've no doubt about that!

03 Mar 2020 15:16:30
So Gerrard’s said he wasn’t in doubt about staying, Scottish media , just because he said he needs time to think 🤔 they jump on it like he’s deciding whether to leave? He said that wasn’t the case . And I still refuse to be a part of the Morelos witch-hunt, yes he’s been petulant at times but not near as petulant as the witchunters, they would love us to tear ourselves apart, not for me . Can’t believe the referee in the hearts game initially gave the goal when the hearts player was playing basketball instead of football, looks like the ref thought he might get away with it until something happened, most likely someone in the sfa behind the scenes saying we’re taking this biased ref thing far too far this time, they will end up rioting or something along that lines 🤔 Anyway, I’m glad Gerrard’s staying, even though he never was leaving, he’s stopped 9 in a row, put an end to 9 seasons of nothing to be excited about in a row, I’ll enjoy the Leverkusen game, it’s going to be brilliant, thanks Stevie G 🙌🏻.

03 Mar 2020 21:22:39
Great post gaz . I said that exact point right after the presser on sat . Too many couch fair weather supporters
In my opinion . but the big majority believe, and that’s important.

03 Mar 2020 14:21:07
So happy we ain't starting from. scratch. IMO only the Tims and some rangers fans care about 10in a row. Outside that no one cares. We have improved massively. My only gripe with Gerrard is this, he doesn't have a rangers man in and around his staff. Maybe that will change.
I would sign lewis Ferguson for a bit of dig and bite in the middle. Arfield Jack and Ferguson in midfield.
Id also like to play 4-3-1-2. hagi in the 10role.

Also this mince about Tav not being a leader, go and listen/ watch the players interviews when they are asked who drives the team on and off the park, they all answer Tav. Tav is a scapegoat for people. 😴😴😴.
Anyway that's my opinion and we are all. entitled to them.

03 Mar 2020 14:58:29
Kri*55 you certainly are my opinion is tav is one off the biggest problems we have. I’ve also never known players to come out and slag off a fellow player. Have u. What else are they going to say.

03 Mar 2020 16:00:46
kri 55 tav is never a team captain or a leader thinks more about his chewing gum than his job on the park.

03 Mar 2020 16:06:53
They don't need to come out and slag a player mate.
The question was put to the., who's the biggest driving force one and off the pitch and they answered Tav with no prompting or anything.
He was majorly missed when he was injured.
What I will say is this, it shouldn't matter who wears the armband, we should have 11 captains on the park.

03 Mar 2020 17:57:47
Play a 4/ 3/ 1/ 2 there's no space of our most expensive player.

03 Mar 2020 18:53:41
Kri55 if tav is the biggest driving force at rangers explains why we r in the state we r.

03 Mar 2020 19:01:45
Amazin how when tav was out practically everyone blamed our poor form on not having him . brilliant.

03 Mar 2020 19:25:39
Molsgoals I think u will find my view on tav is pretty consistent.

03 Mar 2020 21:37:23
John i'd rather take the word of players than yours. your blaming our current situation on Tav wow! Nothing to do with katic being muck recently, or Davis being off form or jack being injured and Alfie not scoring n Kent being off it? No its all Tavs fault. Jesus stick to the PlayStation mate.

4-3-1-2 agreed Kent may not fit in but in current form he doesn't get in for me.

04 Mar 2020 00:20:59
In agreement with john. Decent going forward, absolute woeful defensively.

03 Mar 2020 13:45:13
Jack missing tomorrow and Arfield to miss at least next 2 games. Would like to see at least one of our younger players getting at least a place on the bench.

03 Mar 2020 13:25:57
So now Gerard has stated he's "all in", what does he do in relation to team selection tomorrow night? Does he make the changes as we're all expecting (well I am) or does he send the same team back out and let them face the music from the crowd who won't be in much of a forgiven mood.

03 Mar 2020 13:34:36
I would like to see some changes, however at the same time I think letting the same players face the fans I could understand. It would then be up to the players then to show that they want to a part of this club.

03 Mar 2020 13:36:04
Well Stewart will be back out on his arse, Jack and Arfield injured.
So there’s 3 changes to a team that underperformed.
How many would you make knowing the players you have at your disposal?

03 Mar 2020 13:38:11
SirStruth, what team would you select for tomorrow night?

03 Mar 2020 13:40:14
Sir Struth tell us your team.

03 Mar 2020 13:46:41
Am i the only person who thinks gerrard should have played morelos v Hearts? He says he is available v hamilton but why not deal with it behind closed doors without telling everyone b4 game he was dropped. That was prob our last chance to win a trophy but brings him back for a game v hamilton, mistake in my eyes as we had no natural striker to start match. Cutting nose of to spite face springs to mind and we clearly would have had a better chance with fredo in team. He comes back a day late ok but for gods sake how much prep do you need to play the worst team in the league?

03 Mar 2020 14:02:33
I think its to gain the Managers respect Morelos can't be seen to be getting away with things, especially when he hasn't set the heather of light with his form of lately

Gerrard was well within his right to do that He is giving other a chance and showing that there is no favourites!

03 Mar 2020 14:12:44
100% agree wi that Gers1999.

Iv'e always made the point of I know nothing about team selection or tacticts on here.

I have seen some posters on here that look like they know what they are talking about especially the ones that say 2 strikers is the answer.
Iv'e watched the mhanks do that and have not seen them been beat recently by spfl teams other than by us and one other team I believe.

03 Mar 2020 14:33:28
For me.4-4-2 diamond tomorrow, same back four, Aribo left cm, Davis right cm, Kamara dm, hagi am (10), kamberi and Morelos up top as both will work channels well while one can remain in middle at any given time. That’s my best side with players available.

03 Mar 2020 14:39:54
The thing what baffles me was not so much the dropping of Morelos but knowing we hadn't a striker He shouldve started Defoe from start He came on anyway He was the only natural striker available and also Hagi shouldve started!

03 Mar 2020 14:47:03
Bankie/ John25, although it's not my job, however since you've asked what about change to 4-3-1-2

McGregor
Tav Goldson Edmunson BB
Aribo Polster Kent
Hagi
Morelos Kamberi

Think Hagi is wasted on the wing

What's your team then?

03 Mar 2020 14:50:24
Or what about 4-2-1-3
McGregor
Tav Goldson Edmunson BB
Davis Polster/ Kamara
Hagi
Aribo Morelos/ Kamberi Kent.

03 Mar 2020 15:09:33
My team would be a 3-5-2

Fod

Katic Goldson Edmundson

Kent Polster Hagi Aribo Barasic

Morelos Kamberi

Hagi just in behind the strikers, Kent actually playing as a wide player rather than a 10.

Polster in as Davis and Kamara have been poor recently, centre mid is Polster’s natural position and I thing given he did well at right back he’s due a shot in his favourite position.

Fod in for McGregor as he has been poor recently and no player is undroppable. Tav dropped too as only room for him or Kent in this system and I think actually being able to play wide would give Kent a new lease of life, all he has to do is beat his man and whip in a cross, simplifies the game for him.

03 Mar 2020 15:48:32
Coully, your lineup is pretty decent but would not have Davis right cm as doesn’t have the legs, would have Polster there then either Davis/ Kamara as the holding player.

03 Mar 2020 16:13:58
Gerrard said today that Polster is out with a hamstring problem.

03 Mar 2020 16:18:44
Not bad stuck. Polster injures
My team. Only based on what available
Mcgregor
Tav
Goldston
Edmundson
Barisic
Aribo
Davis
Kamara
Kent
Morelos
Kamberi
442.

03 Mar 2020 17:30:26
I would like to see it switched up quite a bit in terms of formation. We have two full backs that go up the channels like wingers so for me, kent and hagi have no need to be there. Taking injuries into account my team would be;

McGregor

Goldson katic edmundson

Tav barasic

Davies aribo

Hagi

Kamberi Defoe.

03 Mar 2020 17:32:10
Aye that's my team as well John though I think Stevie will have Hagi in there in place of Kamberi.

03 Mar 2020 18:01:11
I'll be surprised if edmundson plays, he was absolutely awful on sat.

03 Mar 2020 18:09:38
Herewego on that basis none of the eleven would play mate.

03 Mar 2020 18:13:37
Defoe was coming back from injure had to be nursed.

03 Mar 2020 18:19:41
SirStruth, it isn't your job and you can't decide on a team selection and yet you're in here every day slating Gerrard! 😂.

03 Mar 2020 19:08:04
100% right decision in my opinion regarding Morelos getting dropped . Morellos’s public apology to club supporters and team mates prove that . This is why it had to be public because the boy is on his last warnings. It obviously has been done behind close doors in the past .
Greg Stewart got his chance and didn’t take it like wise ojo.

03 Mar 2020 12:06:14
Would anyone consider SG has had a successful season if we win the Europa League or even reach the final?

03 Mar 2020 12:39:54
Absolutely Doiger👍.

03 Mar 2020 12:41:33
Aye DOIGER.

But what's that coming over the hill,

Is it a flying pig or a pink elephant.

03 Mar 2020 12:45:27
Doiger, I understand the sole comprehension of fans and trophies won gambit and measure of success and failure. But SG taking gers to Euro final has added advantage 50m in coffers, wipe off any debt, plus add ons. So from financial perspective it's hell of season and would take it in shot.

03 Mar 2020 12:52:23
Absolutely.

03 Mar 2020 12:52:46
Of course! if we done that either of your options anybody saying not a success is blinded by hatred
Do you? To answer your own question.

03 Mar 2020 13:08:09
Get to the final? I’d say on Europe it’s already been a success to get through to the knock out stages and now through the first round to the last 16 has been a massive success remember what three years ago we went out in the first qualifying round to minnows from Luxembourg but I’d say we will struggle to get through but for me Europe a success SPL there is a lot of work to be done there but I’m behind the manager looking forward to taking my seat on Wed.

03 Mar 2020 13:20:30
100% as I like to look at the bigger picture.

Winning a European trophy would raise the profile of our club a hundred times more than stopping 9 and I would also say that the most excitement and anticipation I have ever experienced as a Rangers fan wasn't Helicopter Sunday or winning 9IAR. It was the run up to Manchester.

03 Mar 2020 13:24:24
Good man twacoos, so am i right behind our manager pal. 👍.

03 Mar 2020 13:41:31
Hes only still here cause we can't afford to pay him n his staff off.

03 Mar 2020 14:19:38
That's one answer DSG, the other is he believes he can turn it arround and if not he will resign.

The board are giving him that second chance, so should we mate.

03 Mar 2020 14:23:32
Do you think we start with the same formation and hope whatever players are used can reproduce the form the team ha pre-break? Or do we try something different? Possibly a 3-5-2.
McGregor
Goodson Edmunson Katic

Tav Aribo Kamara Hagi/ Kent Barasic

Kamberi Morelos

Subs: Foderingham, Davis, Defoe, Patterson, Hagi/ Kent, Kennedy.

03 Mar 2020 14:33:14
That's garbage dsgersfan. His profile alone brilliant for gers and given where he was before pool women's team or whatever doing great job for us. Not one for picking or slagging teams but still believe some poor results down to team on park and not SG.

03 Mar 2020 14:37:20
I would love him to prove me n all the other doubters wrong but don't think its gonay happen look at the millions he's wasted but in saying that mybe the nxt sir alex i'd love the guy to turn it aroud but won't happen way they players start with a whole new defence n it mite happen.

03 Mar 2020 16:23:53
Well guys, I think the answer is yes, Europa League would spell success. We'd be the first Scottish team to win 2 European trophies and of course we've already been in more European finals than other Scottish teams. Europa League before 9 iar or 10 iar any day.

03 Mar 2020 18:21:49
Dsgr he already has proved you wrong tunnel west of Scotland mentality . One and a half years in we should have won the league “” some say “” even although Celtic had an invincible season and have loads more money?
This is a manager who has obtained the accolade of being the only manager who has driven a team from qualifications to last 16 of European Comp?
Dues that mean nothing?

03 Mar 2020 23:11:13
Molsgoals, i honestly can't see how sge is one of us, mate, never have i seen a sniff of a positive post from him, never.

03 Mar 2020 10:56:08
So the gaffer says he is all in and 100% committed to Rangers and that the whole club is united from top to bottom. I for one am delighted that he hasn't chucked the towel in and I believe in him. We have had a shocker of a start to 2020 with the exception of the Braga performances but overall, no matter what stat you look at we have improved and I am delighted he's staying.

03 Mar 2020 11:19:21
Couldn’t agree more MOCBear, he’s a winner and has brought this team on considerably, starting again at this stage would be a huge mistake imo.

03 Mar 2020 11:27:04
Well said 👏
In Gerrard We Trust🔴⚪️🔵.

03 Mar 2020 11:35:47
Over the moon that our manager steven gerrard has totally committed himself to the fight to get this club back to where we all want it to be! You know something fellow bears and like i've always said, i believe he will achieve it! I knew he wouldn't quit as rangers manager, as that AIN'T ever been in stevie G'S demeanour. The word quit doesn't exist for this guy as he's a total winner and adversity just galvanises this guy and makes him even more determined to succeed! He will succeed, i've got no doubt about that whatsoever! Now let all us bears show we're behind gerrard and our team and give them our full backing from now 'till the end of the season, when we'll all take stock and plan our way forward for our assault on winning the league next season. I believe we will and i've not totally gave up on this title fight yet,
although we all know it's going to be mighty difficult now.

03 Mar 2020 11:52:14
I am happy with Gerrard! The hard work starts now
This club is all about winning silverware and we all now second best isn't good enough!

Lets be realistic we have definitely improved under Gerrard but he knows that silverware is least we have to expect and he has to deliver NOW

C'mon Gerrard it is not all about yourself Your managing a massive club We want you to deliver and also for you to become successful

If Gerrard delivers by next year all this will be just a bump on the road and all will be forgiven.

03 Mar 2020 12:01:57
In Stevie g we trust! 👍.

03 Mar 2020 12:34:48
It's brilliant that Stevie has no intention of quitting

03 Mar 2020 12:54:24
Well said guys. Agree 100%.

03 Mar 2020 13:17:42
Gerrard was and is no quitter. He's a winner and will prove to be given time. However beating Celtic in games and league is the priority and as we know there's still work to be done. Onwards.

03 Mar 2020 13:20:15
And how does he get a commander on the field as Tav isn't it. Changing captain will be a management challenge but needs to be done asap for next season.

03 Mar 2020 13:20:43
If he's going to make wholesale changes like I'm guessing he will then it starts tomorrow. Attack teams, get 2 up top and if he plays the same way ie personnel and formation he can go now!

03 Mar 2020 13:37:30
Hope to see and hear a lot of support for Gerrard from the crowd on Wenesday. That in a way, would let players know it's all down to them now if they want the same support.

03 Mar 2020 13:39:33
Sorry folks in SG i don't trust anymore i did at 1st but no more he baught a lot of garbage at a lot of our dough who can u say well make a profit on tell hah.

03 Mar 2020 13:43:30
Well there’s a 100% switch from last Sunday well done guys keep up the consistency of being inconsistent.

03 Mar 2020 14:54:31
Realy hope he can turn it around but to be honest i was never worried about sg talking the talk he's good at that just hope he can walk the walk now,65 percent win record after spending 20 odd million in 2 years high concern iam sure other managers had that percent that got chased out the door but would love nothing better than to be proved wrong end of the day just want our team back on top.

03 Mar 2020 19:16:11
1974 . dsgr . thank goodness you are the out and out minority. and that most of the support realise at this time we need to do just that and support . would love to see you two guys coming on here and giving a heartfelt apology. let’s see . We are not dead yet.

03 Mar 2020 23:19:19
Young bear, gerrard has better record than, warbs, pedro, murty, higher pc all round, so he has moved us forward, and earned us a load of money from europe to help with his next step.

04 Mar 2020 08:18:34
Paulallen i most stand corrected read warburton also had a 65 percent win record but ill take your word for it.

03 Mar 2020 09:46:50
Would our team be better with docherty Murphy Middleton and mccrorie. Mccrorie and Middleton helped us qualify for Europe last time and Gerrard has binned them. Definitely better options than Barker Kamara and ohno. They four have more fight in them than the ones that played v hearts. They're playin much better away from Ibrox. Maybe in lower leagues but v Stranraer or hamilton ain't much different to English lower leagues. Also why do we loan out our promising youngsters, to make way for loaneres eg ejaria, ojo etc. We lost gilmour who's now in Chelsea's first team and mccrorie who plays against arsenal. Dochertys also playin brilliantly helpin Hibs get points whilst we're droppin points.

03 Mar 2020 10:45:12
No they boys are on loan to prove their good enough for Rangers and also to balance the books Kamara isn't that bad only recently!

Out of the lot Murphy is a good shout and Docherty can hopefully prove he is good enough to break into that team Just now Docherty and the rest are sadly just fringe players tbh

Our midfield is packed with good talent and yes some of them have their off day! We need more consistency in moving fwd

It's mostly our defence that is underachieving in games.

03 Mar 2020 10:53:15
Kamara is an easy target and it wasn't that long ago that people were saying he was the best 50k we had ever spent. He's a good player just going through a slump in form. There are others like Ojo, Barker and Jones who haven't shown any potential that they can carve out future Rangers careers.

03 Mar 2020 12:54:56
Agree about Kamara. He is a class act.

03 Mar 2020 14:36:36
Middleton is nowhere near good enough, could nt kick on at Hibs, currently yes Murphy would be good to have in squad over barker and ojo. Docherty 100% should be playing now that everyone bar arfield and sometimes Aribo is off form, mccrorie is a better option than Kamara right now but not when Kamara is at his best.

03 Mar 2020 15:08:39
Middleton is brutal.

03 Mar 2020 09:35:47
Is it fickle to say that perhaps some players no longer want to play for Gerrard or perhaps his management team? Surely not, I mean Gerrard should be leading by example having done everything at the biggest stage in his football career and who wouldn't want to play for him He's a huge star all over the world!

Well if you were to ask me If Gerrard is to prove himself and we know already he is not a quitter, he has to be taking a different approach with some radical changes within the players department, and i hope he becomes triumphant!

I am still one for believing that a good number of players are to blame moreso than the Manager himself. Albeit some tactics have been wrong but he may have his reasons for it and knows his team more than any of us!

As much as I like Morelos he has a lot to prove to himself and Rangers moving forward

I was looking at the stats for Morelos and what is interesting reading is that earlier in the year he made so much improvement with his discipline and we thought there is a changed player and then we all spoke too soon
Morelos himself has helped a large chunk in getting Rangers where they were before January but when you look at it up to now he has probably dropped us as much points as he has scored winners!

Not good reading and proves that he may have to be moved on, as no one is bigger than the club and also can't be causing distraction to the Management team!
Having said all that, Gerrard has to have that in his locker aswell. This is part of Management i getting the best out of players Manmanagement is keyaJust look at Walter Smith he was a master at that as is so many managers

Anyway the work starts now and I hope Gerrard can get this sorted out!

I am going to say something, when people seen Lennon get the job at Celtic Park there were people that were thinking this will be a cake walk

Never in a million of years that was the case, he knows the club inside out and also beat the likes of a good Barcelona team in Europe

Neil Lennon is a better manager than he gets credit for and has gained lots of experience and grown up lots!

When he went down to Bolton the team were in tatters then never mind now and sold all his key players before he came in the door and he hadn't a penny to spend I thought he was fighting against a wave and the board did not back him at all!

Now he comes into Celtic knowing wht its all about after being in the doldrums with Hibs, this just gave him added fire in his belly1 So don't be fooled!

If Steve Clarke was to fail as much as i don't like Lennon, he would be the ideal candidate at Scotland at some moment and time! FACT.

03 Mar 2020 09:56:24
Yes, very fickle!
The same players who came back from the dead against Braga?
And you’ve bigged up Lennon - who’s been knocked out twice this season by average European sides after tactical errors in the home leg. Scotland are welcome to him!

03 Mar 2020 09:57:56
If it wasn't for the media south of the border would Gerrard be as big a name? They do like to speak very highly of their own down there.

03 Mar 2020 10:01:43
Good post. I would just add, precisely what is Gary McAllister bringing to the team? He is very low profile and I'm struggling to see what his contribution is right now.

03 Mar 2020 11:42:25
DOIGER, we don't see what gary mac is doing behind the scenes, but how do we know he's not very influential.
Because us supporters don't see what's going on, doesn't mean gary mac isn't very much hands on behind the scenes! I think he will have a big influence!

03 Mar 2020 12:17:40
Marco c, if it wasnt for the english media would gerrard be a big name? Think about your statement, of course he would, fgs he was there captain, that won the big one with liverpool, i think that post of yours is mental mate, honestly. would liniker be where he is if it wasnt for media? Of course he would also, i wish both had been scotish. mate.

03 Mar 2020 13:53:25
Doiger, you're hard man. McAllisters, job is low profile. So unless he's planning player coup would suggest he's doing great job.

03 Mar 2020 19:22:49
I keep harping back to this

THE FIRST MANAGER TO TAKE A TEAM FROM
QUALIFICATION TO LAST 16 IN A EUROPEAN COMPETITION

And some on here want him gone? In my opinion that is very very embarrassing and says a lot about west mentality I’m afraid.

03 Mar 2020 23:33:22
Molsgoals, do you never think there are imposters on here mate, i do, for sure.

03 Mar 2020 09:02:32
As much as dropping Morelos for the Hearts match as punishment it meant us fans were also punished. I agree that action had to be taken but punishment for Morelos alone. A month's wages deducted would have done it.

03 Mar 2020 09:18:10
Shouldn't play again, had enough chances, complete liability.

03 Mar 2020 09:26:41
But plenty on here wanted him dropped due to lack of form and Stewart given a chance?
Now that we can see that he isn’t the answer and is a squad player at best you’ve all changed your tune and Morelos shouldn’t be dropped no matter what?

03 Mar 2020 09:29:45
Sweep he's had a dip in form but guess what so has the rest of the squad at the minute. He will b a way in the summer. But until then he is still by far the best striker we have at the club by quite a margin. So let's try get as much use out the guy until the end of season. Get him back in about the goals and try get as much for him as poss.

03 Mar 2020 10:22:19
@Tupac. So you bring Stewart in for 1 game and you say he isint the answer. Stewart isint a CF. People are quick on here to jump on players back. Morelos was rightly dropped for the last game but will be back tomrrow night I believe. He needs support. Been saying it for weeks.

03 Mar 2020 10:38:44
Guys, We don't know all the facts about Alfie's circumstances (apart from the one he has been poor since after the break) .

He has been like most of the squad and the manager absolutely diabolical so let's see if he can hopefully like the rest need do is pick himself up sooner rather than later.

I personally believe he is so desperate to score when he does play that he just blasts the ball at the goal without placing his shots.

03 Mar 2020 11:32:49
He isn’t the answer at CF, that’s my point AS1974👍
Plenty on here wanted Morelos dropped for Stewart.
And I would have thought that a bluenose like Stewart would have busted a gut in any position?

03 Mar 2020 12:22:44
Paul86, yip i agree, but also hope alfie gets back on song with goals mate, as we need to get as much money for him as is possible.

03 Mar 2020 13:21:57
Stewart wasnt bought as a CF. That's the point I'm making. The lad hasn't had a chance in that first team.

03 Mar 2020 13:47:06
Well plenty on here call him our 3rd striker and wanted him in the team for Morelos. 👍
He has a stinker and all of a sudden it’s a case of he’s not being given a chance?
Is Halliday a LB? No! But for an average pro he busts a gut for the team as a bluenose.
Stewart is also a bluenose. He’s only moving inside one position and failed miserably. That’s my point 👍
You see it differently - fair enough 👍.

03 Mar 2020 14:37:55
Gerrard has to drop him, if there was not unrest over Morelos already in camp then for sure there would be had he not been punished and put straight in the side with no prep. had to be done. Morelos is totally at fault on that one not Gerrard.

03 Mar 2020 23:37:19
Coully, yip, that's the jist eh it mate, if he hadnt. Got dropped what kind of message does that send to the rest of the team.
