Anyone watching question time ?
Jermaine jenas, ===pathetic, what is he doing on a political debate. ? , embarrassing, a football player on a political forum with serious issues, his only input was " if taxes have to go up to pay for things then I agree"why is there a football player on question time. ?

04 Mar 2016 00:44:30
Taxing issues debate? Well I never!

04 Mar 2016 08:19:32
Some of thw footballers are pretty clever though i doubt a 3% rise in taxes is going to affect his running of his ferrari to the normal family on a normal wage trying to keep a roof over there head and feed them, i understand that many do good work within communities but at the end of the day they still get to go back to there mansions on an astronomical wage especially down south.

04 Mar 2016 09:48:51
Sorry tom I thought he was very articulate and knew what he was talking about', just because he was a footballer doesn't mean he's stupid, I quite like jermaine he's a very good pundit on motd.

03 Mar 2016 22:30:16
Guys, some may have gotten the impression I don't think Rangers are good enough to challenge next season, they would be correct, but no, one should ever be confused that I am a Rangers fan from the tip of my toes to the hair on my head, I am very concerned that some are believing we are ready to challenge Septic, we aren't, we are a good footballing side, when we are at it, but we must remember they have a lot of cash to spend and will have a new manager next season, we must really be aware of that, I have always supported Mr King, from day one I knew he was the one man we should trust, I think he has done us proud, , just lets
cal down now, let us win the leag and enjoya that experience, and not declare ourselves as champions of the world, let zmr king and.

03 Mar 2016 23:39:07
I agree, like you I believe that we are in a great place. Our club has been transformed from top to bottom, we have a board I think we can trust, a manager who is doing a great job and has dignity and composure beyond belief. The youth and scouting set up is class. The appointment of frank mcparland was a major coup and the team is playing great football. It certainly won't be as easy as some think it will be next season. However with the right signings then there is no reason why we can't be up there challenging. Mw will already know who he wants I'm sure. It is exciting times and can't wait for saturday's game. Celtic will probably have a new manager and will spend to try and keep us away from them. Its going to be a good fight, won't be easy though.

03 Mar 2016 23:16:10
Tomtom12: I agree, I am a positive poster but Celtic will have to make changes next season ad they will be fired up, as we will be also.

04 Mar 2016 01:02:30
As the Boss has said from the very beginning with no disrespect. It's about Rangers no one else. Let them come. At the end of the season we can be judged. Also said, we'll play 433. We'll never take the ball to the corner. All true The media hate it. I love it.

04 Mar 2016 09:34:40
Why would we not be challenging for the league?
Both DK and MW say there will be investment and the quality in Scotland is VERY low level. Tomorrow will give us a heads up of how much needs to be done, but I am sure the club management are aware that challenging is not out of reach.
I will risk a couple of quid on us winning the league.

04 Mar 2016 09:53:23
My honest opinion is we are not yet ready but this summer is massive for our club, it's all going to come down to what players we sign and who we let go.

04 Mar 2016 10:01:20
Tomtom12,you may find this strange but I 100% agree with your post here mate! I share your view that we are currently without doubt going in the right direction and have got a very good management team in warburton and weir who have a longterm project for our football club and are doing a tremendous job thus far, I do think we'll need to consolidate next season and trust warbs in player recruitment for our first year back in the big league, although I really do think we'll do well I'm also a realist and think even allowing for the demands of our great football club I think a top 3 finish in our first season back in the big time would be a good season, although I'm not for a minute saying glasgow rangers as an institution shouldn't be aiming to win the league because at this club this should always be our goal! What do we think bears, what would be a realistic finish in your eyes?

04 Mar 2016 12:05:45
you play it safe and say top 4, selik, hearts and the sheep, but correct me if I am wrong, hearts are 3rd and played in the championship last year. Did hearts have as good a team as us NO, did they play as good a brand of football as us NO, did they have as good a manager as us, NO, and if DK splashes the cash did they have the same level of investment as us, NO, but despite this in their first year back it looks like they going to finish 3rd.

Selik are getting worse, we are getting better so let's be honest, why can't we win league if we invest in the summer, why are we supposedly so far behind? Selik have a bunch of overpaid foreigners and a terrible manager.

we have built young hungry team, with a winning mentality, and that goes along way, add in some quality and experience next year and we are to a good thing.

All you doubters keep doubting, but I am a forward thinker and a optimist and I do not see why the mighty Glasgow rangers cannot go and turn that who premiership upside down and win it next year!

! and bring on Dundee on Saturday, should be an epic match between both!

04 Mar 2016 18:37:28
Great post m3lvo. I'm the same as you. We will invest and strengthen and I cannot for the life of me see anything to fear over the other side of the city. If Deila wins the league
I think they will stick with him. That would be their undoing as I don't think he can pick his nose much less a team. Don't get me wrong with the squad they have they should be doing much better but a 25 point gap as an earlier poster said - not a chance!

03 Mar 2016 21:14:18
Foderingham

Tavernier
Kiernan
Cameron Vickers
Wallace

Crooks
Bridcutt

Mckay
Windass
Ohalloran

Bradshaw

Anyone think this would be a decent team for next season, its a 4-2-3-1 system, Cameron Vickers is an outstanding young centre back, i'm sure we could get him on loan from Tottenham, Crooks and Liam Bridcutt who we've been linked with would form a strong defensive shield and Mckay, Windass and Ohalloran would be the attacking creative part of the team with Tom Bradshaw who we've also been linked with could be the out and out striker we've been missing. Its a diferent system to what we've using this season and I realise the likes of Holt and Halliday would only be squad players but its a strong looking team. Anyone else got any opinions on what nex seasons team should look like? can't wait for next season already.

03 Mar 2016 22:11:30
No waghorn in your team? a think he will be a defo starter next year.

03 Mar 2016 22:15:14
Fod

Tav
Kiernan
Wilson
Wallace

Crooks
Halliday
Holt

Mckay
Waggy
King

.
Johnson Clarke Harris would be a descent signing as well as another midfielder. I think a few players will come in to beef up the squad as well as the youngsters
Hopefully king joins permanent.

03 Mar 2016 22:47:37
O'halloran would be in my team every time.

03 Mar 2016 23:54:12
Would like to see us get a CB CM CF of great quality. The boy greg stewart I think would be good. Think hearts would do buisness for king? Would be a great addition. I like bradshaw too. Front 3 of waggy bradshaw ohal? Windass/ holt playing behind? King and stewart as impact subs would tear tired defences. Its a bit of a headache trying to select the team. Looking forward to see who we sign in the summer.

04 Mar 2016 08:27:27
I like the idea of Bradshaw or Grigg as our main striker and have to say I think Bridcutt would also be a wise acquisition. Bradshaw or Grigg seem to score every second week when i'm watching soccer saturday.

03 Mar 2016 19:07:29
So a realistic team for Saturday would be:-

Foderingham
tav
Kiernan
wilson
wallace
Ball
halliday
holt
mckay
miller
forrester

What players would you all change for this game? Personally I think this is the strongest side we could field that offers protection in midfield with Ball playing as a holding mid.

03 Mar 2016 21:02:48
Would happily go with that team.

03 Mar 2016 21:18:20
Well said. think that will be the team. forrester will be dissapointed but keeps him hungry.

03 Mar 2016 22:13:15
He's in his team y would he be disappointed? a think forester will start against Dundee.

04 Mar 2016 09:56:02
Forresters a certain starter, that team onlyshow put up is spot on, it will be that 11 or possibly law for young ball.

03 Mar 2016 09:56:13
So Selik Draw to Dundee who rested 5 players, and are we still actually fearing Selik! They are mince, to many players in there squad, to many nationalities, I like my Squad British thank you!

As for Dundee, there is no doubt we will have a game on our hands. We need to play Law/ Ball Holt Halliday in the middle as this will be a battle.

Forrester Miller McKay will do what the do, but it will be decided in the middle of the park.

I think that If we battle hard in midfield and are strong at the back and all players turn up, along with 50,000 supporters, I can only see a Rangers Win. But if we are not 100% in it and a few have an off day then we will lose.

But this has no bearing on were we are at. We are a Premiership team, or squad is really good and will get better. Our brand of football and spirit and fight is the best in Scotland along with our manager! with a few more signings next year, we will be up there battling it out with Selik, Hearts, Aberdeen and Hibs, oh no wait, they are going to lose in the play offs hahahahahah!

03 Mar 2016 11:18:27
Rangers midfielder Nicky Law says there is no reason for the Scottish Championship leaders to fear a meeting with Celtic in the latter stages of the Scottish Cup despite their Glasgow rivals having brushed the Ibrox team aside in the last four of the League Cup last season with a straightforward 2-0 win at Hampden Park. (The Herald)
Now I may not be as educated as the writer of this snippet however, I do think that the team who lost out to Celtic in the aforementioned game was entirely different and also I would go as far to state that the team Celtic fielded also had more determination than the current mob. Some Papers still seem to have a wee agenda where we are concerned? Oh well onwards and upwards. 2-1 win against Dundee! Fingers crossed! I will be ignoring my duties for 90mins on Saturday.

03 Mar 2016 11:22:33
We really shouldn't be worried about Celtic. purely due to the fact their manager is clueless. for Saturday I reckon it'll be a defensive 4-3-3 with ball as the defensive mid, and halliday and holt as the box to box runners. there will be nowhere near 50,000. I reckon you'll be lucky to see 25000. as for battling with the rest next year, well we will see, if we get the signings warbs wants then yeah why can't we go for it next year. the current squad however, would be fighting for 2nd/ 3rd at best. we are good but are missing a killer finish. 25+ shots a game and only scoring 1 or 2 isn't good enough. SPL teams will have 7 or 8 shots and score 2.

03 Mar 2016 12:21:45
They would up there game tho no doubt about it, they are playing so poorly but are still going to win the league.

03 mar 2016 12:23:38
25,000 what planet r u on we had 40,000 at mid week raith game get a grip of your comments mate, are u confusing ibrox with parkheed!

03 Mar 2016 13:15:24
M3lvo not at all mate, but I'm being realistic, we have closed the club deck, we are struggling to sell tickets for this game. you are more deluded than the great unwashed If you think 40,000 will be at ibrox on Saturday.

03 Mar 2016 13:50:20
I hope there is at least 35-40k at ibrox on saturday. I have my ticket and really looking forward to the game. It will definately be a marker for next season and I think fans will turnout to the game for that reason. A good support will help encourage the team. I still think that we will need at least 5 quality players for a realistic title challenge next year. There's no reason why we can't beat dundee but it will be a tough game.

03 Mar 2016 14:34:44
well OSA, you clearly have inside info on CD being closed. I would be disappointed if we only had a half full stadium, QF of SC against premiership team, and its only a score for a ticket, I will be there giving my support and hope we trash Dundee. but if we get past them to the semi and final bet there not 25000 wanting a ticket then, everyone will be coming out the wood work looking for a ticket, wee would sell out hampden on our own.

03 Mar 2016 14:40:03
Celtic are currently stale just now and although they won't admit it they desperately need is back in the top division. I'm sure when we do get back it will stimulate them and I think they will spend money. Their manager will probably get sacked so it possible it will be a different ball game come next season.

03 Mar 2016 15:18:02
M3lvo, I'm disappointed that we will most likely only have 25,000 fans at the game. it's a QF, we should be packing our stadium, but it doesn't look likely currently. and yes our fans would come out the wood work if we get through. which is unfair to those who will attend on Saturday that would miss out on SF tickets due to these fans coming out the wood work. I for one will be there.

03 Mar 2016 15:24:22
Biffo316 you are spot on, they should have sacked him once he failed in Europe at end of year, they will need to get rid of him once league over, they have messed up big time, they should b streets ahead of us.

We are so close to them and by the time next seasons start I think that we will be right up there with them, they will need to allow new manager to get players in and out, they have massive squad that needs trimmed down, to many duds etc, they could let 10 players go and still have a bigger squad than us, I think you would be looking about a 15 player turn around next year with them if new manager comes in with players in and out, that is if they are lucky and can sell some of the crap that they have picked up.

All in all I would say come next season that we will be in just a good a position as they will be as we have already cleared the decks, just finalising our squad in the summer, manager into year 2 settled team and manager, winning spirit, trophies in the cabinet, quality throughout the squad, still using lean squad so everyone is getting game time etc and they will have to rebuild from scratch, i think that it is looking good for us, we are in a good place as MW says lol follow follow ! RANT OVER!

03 Mar 2016 15:41:38
OSA glad we agree on that, not fair and glad u will be there on Saturday like me to cheer us on, can't wait, mon the bears get out your bed and get to ibrox on Saturday!

03 Mar 2016 17:03:48
you would like to think we attract over 40k for the Dundee game. I think we agree it will be a hard game with a midfield battle but this will stand us in good stead.

03 Mar 2016 21:07:22
If Aberdeen can get their act together then they could win the SPL but surely none of us reckon that Celtic will stick with Delia for next season!

With us back in the SPL, they will want a decent quality manager, (they might even bring back the failed Bolton Manager) !

They will presumably also get rid of the dross that Delia has signed and spend money on theoretically better players.

Still it is not what they do but what we do that will be the most important!

03 Mar 2016 21:24:19
M3 the club deck is indeed closed, can't be expecting a good crowd. i'm very disapointed too, stadium should be packed. Hoping for at least 35000.

03 Mar 2016 18:04:37
Don't know where you are getting 25k from more like 40k+ And that's with it being on sky. One of the most anticapated games so far this season I don't believe the stadium will be half full. Anyhow we shall see on Saturday.

03 Mar 2016 08:58:50
Reading the posts on here it seems we are split on our feelings for where we are as a club atm. We are all entitled to those opinions even the stupid ones hey us stupid people love our club too.

Some think a lot of us are over rating our squad right now others that we are very strong. Some will take a lot of convincing to trust our board, reasonable after our last few years, others delighted in the board. A few, who don't actually come out and say it but its obvious if you read their posts, are yet to be convinced on MW manager skills. All valid opinions.

Here is where I am. I think we have a good squad, and the doubters only have to look at Hearts last year they got nothing but plaudits, we seem destined to match or even better their last years points. Yes we are not consistent enough for my liking but its a young squad.

I know very little about DK, apart from the headlines, but I do trust the other 3 guys. everyone must admit we are in a far better place now.

MW has been great so far even if you think he still has to prove he can adapt as a manager, you must admit his organisational and professional approach is outstanding. I may be proved wrong, hope not, but I think overall we are very strong all round.

03 Mar 2016 09:28:36

03 Mar 2016 10:14:25
Good positive posts gents! you know someone is now going to come along and say . "we might have all those ticks against all the important areas but Barry McKay isn't quick enough! " lol.

03 Mar 2016 10:37:55
M3LVO I wish I'd left school with as many pass marks mate, but you're bang on with the post.

03 Mar 2016 14:04:56
Hate cel - tick.

03 Mar 2016 15:41:58
Lol Hate the Tic - Tick.

03 Mar 2016 17:09:47
to compare us to hearts whom will not even finish second to celtic is that where we want to be
ick boxes next season when the gets tougher.

03 Mar 2016 21:09:36
I would suggest that all of us will want to win the SPL next season and it is not beyond the realms of possibility that we will be champions!

03 Mar 2016 21:23:34
Everybody still hates us. tick
But we don't care . tick tick tick.

03 Mar 2016 08:43:38
I know it doesn't affect us until we're back in the SPL next season but I'm sure you'll all agree that we like to see Celtic struggling, which they are. Successive draws with Hamilton and Dundee, losing to Ross County in the League Cup. If only Aberdeen were more consistent they'd be top of the league. I'd even want the sheep to win in preference to Celtic, just to look after the trophy until we're back! There is virtually no gap between all of the SPL teams and Rangers, Hibs and Falkirk. Roll on Saturday.

03 Mar 2016 09:30:48
so good that Dundee were at selik last nite and then come to us on Saturday, perfect marker, I will be there supporting us, win lose or draw, we are so close to being back to former glory, I hope we win on Saturday, I have a good feeling that this is our year! treble is on for me lol!

last game of the season Hampden V Selik Scottish cup final that is my wish!

03 Mar 2016 12:23:41
In aberdeens last 2 games there have been 2 penaltys giving against them that were in no way penaltys. conspiracy! Lol.

03 Mar 2016 10:13:20
i don't want to see them struggling then rocket ron would be sacked before we get there.

03 Mar 2016 08:39:06
now we know which league we will
be playing next season
I hope the scout has earmarked the players we may sign
king from hearts expexted to cost
1 million with add ons do we rate him that highly
MW has said he would like to resign ball
does any one believe the gers
will spend more than 1 million on any one player.

03 Mar 2016 09:50:39
MW don't like spending big cash on players as he can always find a cheaper alternative that is just as good

but if it really comes down to it and he wants a player at £1m then I do think that the board will back him.

the £5m to SD during last window had effect on spending, now that is out the way, I think we will spend a few quid.

W&W and DK I trust!

03 Mar 2016 11:22:00
Very, very unlikely that we'll sign any player for more than 1 million although the board will try some crazy add-ons to inflate the figures of any players we do sign.

M3LV0, can you maybe inform me of the big rush to pay Ashley back his cash if you think it affected our signings in January? Only months before King said he was in no rush to pay it back.

In W&W I certainly trust though.

03 Mar 2016 12:28:57
NAZ, do I really have to explain that to you, MA is a complete toss pot, he held securities over various aspects of our club, paying him of took that ace away from MA and also will help us while we are tying to get out of this stupid sports direct contract that has a 7 year notice period, its all about playing the cards correctly in this poker game with MA!

what is everyones beef with DK, the guy has saved us, turned us around provided us with W&W, the squad that we have the new youth set up, put money into training ground and ibrox, cleared off debt, ridding us of front page news and putting us back on back page! u and all the other DK haters need to accept we won't ever splash cash of millions of pounds for single player! and why would we need to now, MW knowledge of down south and also his use of the youth set up! DK has saved us no other blunt way of putting it so man up and give the guy the praise that he deserves!

03 Mar 2016 15:49:10
w
Well said M3LVO, Dave King has been doing things the right way addressing every issue as the whole fabric of the club needed attention, as for giving Warbs millions for transfers, he has been prudent with cash till offield issues are resolved. Look at celtic spent millions on squibs, I
management team ethics, target a player run the rule over him at Murray park if he ticks all the boxes then Mark, Davie and wee Frank vote to offer him a contract, if not unanimous they let him go
Gone are the days when Dick Advacaat signed players on the strength of watching a video. I, m just enjoying wher we are at present, we, re not world beaters but it, s work I'm progress, albeit some inept displays but Pet cup final,1/ 4 final scot. cup,5 wins from league champs. Rewind 4 years I, m a happy bear. lest we forget.

03 Mar 2016 17:26:12
Well said Blue Bear am right with you on that!

03 Mar 2016 21:26:15
Guys dk wasnt in a rush until he found out about 7 year cooling off period.
