Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

03 Jun 2018 22:18:50
Not a rumour but nice to read about Carlos Cuellar saying he would love to manage rangers one day and how much love he has for the club.

03 Jun 2018 22:12:40
It's really sad the way millers rangers career is ending. I for one thought he was a terrific talisman over the years for us and the goal against them when he runs over celebrating and gets a close up on the tv camera is one that sticks in my mind. I did hear that his missus was shouting the odds too at the hampden. It came from a boy that knows Rangers goalkeeping coach. Anyways I would've said a few words also and aired my views. He never hurt anyone.

03 Jun 2018 23:38:30
I agree he only told it how all us supporters were feeling after that display . shame the ways its ended scored some important goals for us

04 Jun 2018 09:55:14
I agree he has been a fantastic servant for the club through all of his spells here and yes he probably was just saying what we were all thinking but as an employee of the club he should have been a bit more clever in the way he done it. let's be honest here, this isn't the first manager he has fallen out with or had a disagreement with. I don't disagree with him voicing his displeasure at team performances or whatever but as a senior member of the squad he should have handled the situation a bit better, as should have Wallace as club captain.

04 Jun 2018 21:36:10
Miller employee of club and he should shut his mouth. If he has issue he can talk it out with Chairman but that's as far as it goes.

03 Jun 2018 19:25:26
It’s a new kit maker and would be poor form if all three tops were not out before the start of the season

03 Jun 2018 21:04:49
Totally! The strips should be out before July! The Tim’s have there’s out right now and we are hanging around?

03 Jun 2018 23:13:05
No chance we are starting a new season with the old strip again the sooner the strips out the sooner hummel making cash back in their deal

04 Jun 2018 00:25:28
Sports direct's contract ends 31/ 07/ 18. We will have a new merchandise partner on 1st of August (allegedly jd sports) . Makes zero sense financially for us or jd sports (If it is them) to release the strips before that date as ashley would get a huge windfall, our new partners would lose out substantially and we would make less money given ashley still gets 50% currently iff bought through his stores. It's as simple as that folks. Patience.

04 Jun 2018 06:35:30
Correct spart7!Like i said mate, i was told home top will be available to buy to us supporters, around mid august!

04 Jun 2018 09:57:07
Don't understand why the board can't just come out and clarify thus for us

04 Jun 2018 11:03:05
Could be a legal issue mikeger. Don't imagine they are withholding this info for no reason.

03 Jun 2018 18:43:53
I would keep tav push him into midfield or higher up, keep d. john, keep candyass lol, keep morelos another 6 months n see what super stevie can get out him. Keep rossiter. Keep alnwick Keep dorrans. Keep jack. Get rid of alves, holt, cardoso, herrera, pena, fods, on the fence about halliday n windass. And i would keep miller n wallace.

03 Jun 2018 18:48:40
why would you keep miller?

03 Jun 2018 19:02:36
Millers contract is up but you would still keep him Dutchy? Not sure if Miller will hang around after the way he's been treated . He has gave his all and you could see his commitment, i'm afraid he'll be moving on.

03 Jun 2018 19:43:15
Not many will agree with me but I hope he keeps Alves.

03 Jun 2018 20:16:36
wages too high

03 Jun 2018 21:37:39
I'm certainly in agreement with you
Jaws!

03 Jun 2018 23:39:01
I agree hope Alves stays and think when Gerard is looking at our squad and assessing the players I'm sure he would want Alves to stay.

03 Jun 2018 18:35:46
Really hope middleton, burt, atakyi get a chance this season. Mabay even beerman and barjonas back in.

03 Jun 2018 22:36:18
Beerman will never make it with us, Burt and Barjonas are still technically immature and might never reach the heights we are now aiming at two or three years down the line, Atakayi hasn't yet got the physique or the energy but looks great with the ball at his feet. Middleton I've never seen but he's supposed to be quality. I think our next one to step up will be Aiden Wilson, and I've heard good things about Dallas, Stephen Kelly and Rudden, but we already have a fairly young squad, we have to consolidate a whole new first team that is winning regularly, so I don't think many from the youths will see first team action.

03 Jun 2018 18:16:50
Think we should have a look at omar bogle. Seen his name suggested on here last year. Tall, fast and powerful striker.

03 Jun 2018 18:44:13
No thanks we have better at the club than him

03 Jun 2018 17:52:52
Not sure how I feel being linked with so many young players. As much as I think the young players we have been linked with have a lot of potential, I’m not sure now is the time to be looking at so many young players. At this time we need experienced players, particularly in defence as well as an experienced striker and a creative midfielder. I would also like to see more new players arrive in next 3-4 weeks to give them time to settle in and play together before the European ties.

03 Jun 2018 18:37:08
Youth with one or two experienced players in the mix is definitely the way to go. Mc Gregor and Arfield already there.

03 Jun 2018 20:42:36
I agree, youth with a sprinkling of experience sounds right up sg street. Fitness sounds his thing.

When you look at the existing players who could play a part, most have scope for improvement or should be in their pomp.

Tav 26
John 22
Mccrorie 20
Rossiter 21
Docherty 21
Jack 26
Dorrans 30
Murphy 29
Candias 29
Windass 24
Morelos 21

I personally wouldn't get too hung up if he brought in a couple of experienced pro's.

03 Jun 2018 21:57:19
Andyskipcap - what about Murphy? another experienced player.

03 Jun 2018 23:41:47
I'm not a fan of these young players from other clubs on loan there coming from youth football that's not what we need.

03 Jun 2018 23:56:25
I would say the jury is out on Docherty, Jack, Dorrans, Murphy, Windass and Morelos. I hope Rossiter can stay fit. I think Rossiter is the one player I would like to see have a long run of games. We need players who are going to be up for games against teams like Aberdeen, Hibs and Septic. Players like Murphy and Dorrans for example only had decent games against teams, towards the bottom of the league, we should have been beating anyway.

04 Jun 2018 11:08:03
Agree with most of that except Murphy. Was our best player along with candeias second half of the season. Docherty I think will be good for us given the chance. Don't understand how dorrans got back in the team in his place as he contributed nothing when he came back

03 Jun 2018 16:33:53
Supposedly after ovi edjaria on loan from liverpool never heard of him but i hope we don't get lots of loans.

03 Jun 2018 18:56:31
Tray his contract is up at Liverpool. Very good feet and strong. Can pass a ball also over six feet

03 Jun 2018 19:40:30
SG is not at ibrox to try young players out. it's not bgt. we need results from the word go. he knows that. we cannot take anymore gambles on untried youngsters.

03 Jun 2018 15:33:06
Rumour is the young Liverpool player linked with is a only a loan wtf, I don't mind a decent young player ie solanum or Woodburn etc but a random no thanks if it was to buy a decent young guy who just didn't make it at Liverpool then fine but no a reject random. 😠this is glasgow rangers not a feeder club.!

03 Jun 2018 17:44:22
Blue ice your going on there as though Liverpool are a Conference side. If these players are at Liverpool don’t you think they are actually not bad?

03 Jun 2018 18:46:28
Blue ice have you saw him play how is he a reject

03 Jun 2018 19:13:47
He is a reject because he has been rejected a new contract omg hello.!

03 Jun 2018 20:29:03
So because your out of contract that makes you a reject don’t think so a few out of contract players just now robben, can, balotelli does this make them rejects

03 Jun 2018 20:29:38
And how do you know he’s not been offered a new contract

03 Jun 2018 21:30:00
The point I'm making that a fellow rumour person posted this isn't but that sums it up perfectly we are glasgow rangers not Brechin city don't want other teams cast offs to see weather they sink or swim if they swim the parent club goes cheers for letting us see this without us getting fingers burned and take them back off us and if they drown then we are left with our own image damaged.!

03 Jun 2018 15:30:52
Press reports today suggest that SG wants to keep windass. If its correct i am really disapointed. He is not good enough. We badly need centre backs and cover at fiull back as well as striker. Clubs in england want him. Take the money! Anything over 1million to reconfigure the squad.
Windass is one of the most anonymouz players i have seen and if SG can't see that ( i am sure he has been watching games files) then its worrying.

03 Jun 2018 15:56:17
Im sure Steven Gerrard is just being kind regarding Windass, i think he will be sold.

03 Jun 2018 16:15:51
At the moment it seems the majority of our support want rid of Windass, Tav and Morelas. Those three were probably involved in around 75% of our goals last season. Why should we be looking to sell on these players if they were that important. We should be trying to enhance the rest of our squad and see what these guys can do with a better team around them, so we are less reliant on the three.
I think Morelas and Windass have potential to be top players for us. I like Tav but hopefully with a stronger centre of the midfield and defence, we will be less exposed when he goes forward.

03 Jun 2018 17:08:03
Got to agree that Windass should be sold as he is simply not good enough for Rangers FC

03 Jun 2018 17:09:35
If true that Stevie-G wants to keep Tav, Windass, and Foderingham then I am disappointed in our new manager on this.

Tav is a hopeless defender and cost the team many goals past two seasons as teams exploited his defensive position.

Windass is a selfish player and not a team player and goes missing in games, also to this day I think he still has to win any headers he jumps for. (loses them all)

Foderingham is a good shot stopper from close range, but hopeless in all other aspects of being a top goakeeper.
Im fed up watching Foderingham's Hollywood dives when the ball still goes in the net.

Im hopefull like the rest of us but think Stevie-G has got these 3 wrong.
There is better players out there than these three magic hat signings.

03 Jun 2018 17:37:50
Stop living in the past
This is your future

03 Jun 2018 17:43:09
With all due respect ladies, but where and when did you all do your coaching badges? My god 3 days in the job and already the moonhowlers are out in full force.
Firstly Tavernier was our best player last season. Improved defensively and dynamite going forward.
Windass deserves a chance a chance under Gerrard. One of our top scorers and assists. F me if we had Messi and Bale playing for us you would all find fault in them🙄
Gerrard could also be double bluffing. By saying they are in his plans means clubs will have to pay full bhoona for them rather than a paltry fee to get them off the books. How about we all wait how everyone performed before judging . eh! 🤦‍♂️

03 Jun 2018 18:03:21
I'll trust the managers judgment.

03 Jun 2018 18:10:59
Thts exactly wht they snd like a bunch of auld moany oap's :)

03 Jun 2018 18:13:39
Windass despite going missing in games has still scored many goals and many assists so if Gerrard can get more out of him why should we sell unless megabucks offer last season we were top scoring team its the defence that needs big money spent .

03 Jun 2018 18:51:20
Honest all yous folk trying to witch hunt windass tav and morelos must be tims or bots our three most important players and you want them out what wierdos min

03 Jun 2018 19:13:33
Gman, why should we sell Windass you ask? i'd imagine Gerrard will have to sell quiet a few players to fund his new team. There is certainly no sign of the 6 million which is, according to King going to be made available this month due to a new share issue.

03 Jun 2018 20:20:28
Great post colster couldn't agree more👍

03 Jun 2018 20:29:39
For all I'm not keen on windass, if sg thinks he can work with him, that's good enough for me.

There's plenty to be moving on before windass and tav, to free up wages.

It's early days, but I like the level of player we're linked with. We'll see the balance between youth and experience and permanent and loan soon enough.

Even keeping our better players from last year, the general make up of our team should be youthful. It's about landing those key players now.

Let's go.

03 Jun 2018 21:22:33
Mols Some of our fans just haven't a Scooby!
For a start we might just have to go with what we have as it might be hard to shift some of the deadwood. If taking a few Liverpool loans to beef up the squad with more quality then so be it.
I think we have to trust the management team as I think they may just be a little bit more qualified than us😁

03 Jun 2018 22:15:27
Colster

Great post too much negativity even before the season starts.
Morelos, Windass, and Tav were Rangers top scorers in the Premiership. Does that not answer why SG wants to keep them?

03 Jun 2018 15:26:11
IMO We need 4 CH's while getting rid of Alves and Cardoso. As stated yesterday I would go for Goldman Bartley Caulker and Souter of Hearts. I would promote Wilson and have McCorrie moving back from Midfield if needed as cover. How would you all go about fixing Central defence?

03 Jun 2018 16:32:37
Personally I'd leave it to Stevie G, that's his job.

03 Jun 2018 17:36:29
We do need better standard of center backs no doubt however the way we set up doesn't help at two full backs bomb down wings whilst we usually don't have a cdm in midfield as mcrorie and jack, rossiter missed lots of games. even two half decent CBS would struggle with that set up

03 Jun 2018 18:54:21
Defo a caulker fan and bartley but bartley may end up injured so i'd maybe go for john souttar as a third and keep alves aswell cordoso could still be a player but not seen enough of him. And our midfield put a lot of pressure on our defence last year because we were small and weak i like wee holt but he's just no big enough. Need a monster in cm like mulumbu guys strong as an ox.

03 Jun 2018 19:26:13
Bathgate I would play McGregor GK 3 at the back Alves Wilson Cardoso Tav and John as wing backs McCorrie DCM Rossiter CM Arfield CM Murphy AM and Morelos C. F. with the players we have now

03 Jun 2018 14:22:39
Sure bassong played for Pompey and spurs with redknapp wasn't he a full back, he was good at 1 point but not heard much of him lately.

03 Jun 2018 14:11:30
I just posted that I heard were looking at bassong. Well I don't know much about him so just had a look and I hope not . He's not played for a year.

03 Jun 2018 13:55:21
Those of us who stay. and or work, in Glasgow; look out for this sight. Visually, it is one of the funniest things you will ever see. That wee tw*# Griffiths, driving his huge, ugly, horrible green car. It looks like boss baby driving a humner. It is f#@*ing hilarious. Absolute comedy gold. Someone should tell him. actually, nah. Everyone has to see this.

03 Jun 2018 15:54:39
Brilliant cannot wait . hope I get a photie . he's the worst of the worst . don't know any players in the history of Scottish football Celtic or rangers behaving the way him and brown fir that matter do . ok garza but that was sheer ignorance and he wasn't slow in apologising . could you ever imagine tommy gemmil . billy McNeil John greig sandy jardine wiping their snot on an opposing teams corner flag or any of the other stuff he does. he is nothing but a pure ned and can't be surprised when he attracts that culture. and when he does it's poor me poor brooney
And more. To point he gets away with it Scott free. whatever happened to the ungentlemanly conduct. he should get the book flung at him. Rodgers should be ashamed for allowing it. . very befitting of the so called great club. don't see anyone else in world football behaving like this

03 Jun 2018 17:42:08
Too true molsgoals. It would have never happened in those days. You would have been pulled aside by one of your own team and told in no uncertain terms to quit it.

03 Jun 2018 18:10:42
Riff not even in those days . nowadays . he's the only imbecile in world football that I kn off that behaves like that and brown is not far behind. maybe The green posters on here may enlighten us but no doubt they will play it diwn as banter. . well it's dangerous banter and if any of our boys did it we would not let them away wi it. Imagine Andy Halliday up at parkhead waving a Union Jack . no I don't think so .

03 Jun 2018 11:47:56
Watched scotland game mckenna looked the part

03 Jun 2018 12:49:30
agree controller - i’ve said it on here a few times the lad looks a good solid defender who's still young - we shd go for him

i’d rather him than a james collins or skrtel at 33/ 34 on huge wages

03 Jun 2018 13:05:13
Mckenna looks terribly slowly and clumsy but to be fair it wouldn't be hard to standout from that pash poor squad of footballers

03 Jun 2018 14:26:05
slow and clumsy enough to finnish 2nd in SPL.

03 Jun 2018 15:17:17
Hes not interested in coming to us. Said this on a previous thread. its either Aberdeen or heading south for him.

03 Jun 2018 15:49:20
a non starter anyway the sheep would hold us to ransom with overpriced valuations

03 Jun 2018 16:41:19
Trev No7 that's right, second. I have more ambition than that for Rangers, a cumbersome, below average player, which is what he really is when it comes to it.

03 Jun 2018 18:10:30
Strong opinions duty calls, who do you want us to sign?

03 Jun 2018 11:08:25
Abel hernandez from hull leaving. out of contract just a thought

03 Jun 2018 13:05:34
your first thought? well done

03 Jun 2018 13:21:44
Big fast and powerful. Everything we need. If the wages were right it would be a no brainer.

03 Jun 2018 14:21:28
He's about to sign for Leeds and is well above our wage range.

03 Jun 2018 17:53:06
Hes getting 1.8m per year which is around 33,000 per week and he would play european football with us

03 Jun 2018 10:44:54
Why are people banging on about Bartley? all I remember is he was big and crap at football I'm 1.9m 90kg and crap at football lol.

03 Jun 2018 10:54:33
You're just a lightweight.

03 Jun 2018 11:03:43
WHAT whu are people disagreeingf i'm crap at football its true honest lol

03 Jun 2018 13:08:22
Concerning issue regarding Bartley is his fitness. Dodgy knees apparently.

03 Jun 2018 09:13:14
I was just having a look at the boy jensen from denmark he looks a cracking player

Review Of The Day 3rd June 2018

03 Jun 2018 05:53:58
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 3rd June 2018

03 Jun 2018 03:17:00
Scotland game finished, lost 1-0 to Mexico

2 guys we have been linked with

Mcburnie - absolutely awful in the 2 scotland friendless, has no pace and struggles to turn fast in tight areas also has poor aiming for heading and missed a good chance.4million? Wouldn’t pay 1 million from him he’s league 1 / championship level

McGeouch - better than mcginn? Lmao don’t me me laugh easily the worst player over thr 2 games and hopefully will never be seen in a scotland Jersey again. Constantly lost the ball due to taking time and getting shoved off the ball with the time he took passing it, again championship standard, couldn’t keep up with the quality

Overall we should NOT be looking to sign these guys. Both massively overrated and step backwards in terms off trying to close the gap on Celtic, if you don’t agree with me the I’d recommend watching both Scotland friendliest back in full, nothing positive about them both the worst players on the pitch like I mentioned previously. We should be looking to sign much better quality!

Last thing al add. so thankful we never got big eck as manger, absolutely awful Tactics and formation. Past it as a manger anyway like I said I recommend watching the highlights back both guys were brutal and worth avoiding

03 Jun 2018 05:34:56
Yeah I watched McBurnie and good luck to him for being a Gers man but £4 million for him? He tried his hardest and hit the post, which was a sitter and he should have scored. If we are going to mount a challenge we need better up than him? Also the big Eck should be telling him to tuck his shirt in and pull his socks up as he looked dreadful and it’s disrespectful!

03 Jun 2018 06:13:17
Totally agree, what I've seen of McBurnie certainly doesn't merit a move to Rangers.

03 Jun 2018 06:47:13
Easy Mathews. Mcburnie and mccueoch are 2 young lads, that have only played a couple of games for Scotland, which were friendlies, against decent opposition. McLeish? He's missing 7-8 players. If we had McLeish after Pedro we'd have got second, it wouldn't have always been the prettiest of football but we wouldn't have been beaten at home so often (which cost us 2nd)

03 Jun 2018 09:01:43
Watched mcburnie a few time now and he’s has failed to impress me in all the games! If we sign hm for 4 million I’ll be honest I’ll ill be devastated. As for Mcgeouch isn’t any better than what we’ve got certainly not!

03 Jun 2018 09:22:32
Didn't see the Scotland games but the few games I seen McBurnie in the EPL for Swansea, the boy looked excellent. Not the prettiest of players but never die attitude and put himself about and got a couple goals. Also decent record for Barnsley on his 6 month loan and I believe he won their player of the season (granted they got relegated) but still.
Think its unfair to judge two boys on international duty (with a depleted Scotland squad), over two games, playing in the heat and altitude of South America against two good teams and after a long season aswell.
I see both of these as great additions for us personally, but wouldn't want us spunking a big chunk of our budget on one player.
Ideally Solanke on loan for a season and get McBurnie for free next season after a solid season for him in the Championship for Swansea.

03 Jun 2018 09:51:31
We are trying to improve the squad no way is mcburnie any better than what we already have. Morelos is only going to get better a good pre season and a bit of confidence nd he will be a good player for us . He has done not bad last season for his first season in Scotland

03 Jun 2018 10:11:02
Didn't watch either friendly and I'm not going to judge anybody playing in a sewn together squad playing at altitude in a meaningless match.

I've been impressed whenever I've seen McBurnie and it would appear he's desperate to come to Rangers. Would instantly improve the team albeit I doubt we would fork out 4 million for him.

03 Jun 2018 10:26:00
I’d be waiting for the lad to be a free the following season. He’s not worth the risk at £4M. If he’s desp to come he will wait and sign as a Bosman

03 Jun 2018 10:27:32
I was not impressed with Mcburnie either over 2 games but as I posted earlier the Swansea fans love him. He does try he is young and will improve and scored a barrowload in the championship. 2 games for his country lads bound to be nervous.

03 Jun 2018 10:29:18
Ohh the criticising starts again

Let's start with the game vs Mexico in itself

Right did you see the conditions we played in So very humid conditions with over 32oC in heat!

Very high altitude, which squeezes every breath from your lungs!

You guys that are complaining about this, gone try running at one end of the pitch and back in these conditions and see if you can actually, verbally tell a story like you have on here!

I've not even mentioned the quality of opposition we are playing yet

Mexico are in the WC and are a team that most often than not gets to the quarter final stages

Ohh they draw a 3-3 thrilling match with Belgium and a team that have only been beaten three times in the Aztecs Stadium, spanning back as far as 2001

Sunk in yet, this was by far our first team and only a few caps between them all

Ollie McBurnie had hardly any support, playing upfront alone No wonder he showed signs of frustration! The chance he did have he cracked the post and it was hardly a sitter!

Dylan McGeough it has to be said gave the ball away a few times and is not the quickest but it also has to be said that McGinn wasn't brilliant in the time he played and the reason it's like this is because of the quality of opposition your playing and not really getting the freedom to play

Dylan McGeough would be a decent squad player at Rangers at a minimal cost NOT a first team player

Ollie McBurnie has more chance to be a regular at Rangers as we are lacking firepower and let's not forget Ollie is only 21years of age and may have a decent future ahead of him He needs to buckle down though

Ollie is a boy that would thrive of of service, which he had none and another boy beside him upfront he would excel

When we were on the ball we simply couldn't keep it! It's important to be able to string a few passes together to catch a breath in those conditions

We can take some positives from the game, those being,

Scott Bain is definately a better choice than Jon McLaughlan and couldve probably been 3 or 4 if it wasnt for him He will be part of a 23 man squad

Johnny Russell was superb and so energetic down the flanks who should be part of the squad

Lewis Morgan looks a decent prospect

03 Jun 2018 10:31:14
You need to get a grip of yourself matthews11, its like a pre season game and I've just watched it and it was not near as bad as you make out. Both players had good seasons last season, mcburnie is not worth 4million tho. But mcgeough is a free transfer so would take him.

03 Jun 2018 11:56:44
Great posts from Kaz and Hond
It's easy to sit in the couch with a burger crisps and lager
And shout and criticise boys for not trying invthe heat and altitude. but again it says a lot for the mentality of some and maybe should just be ignored

03 Jun 2018 12:02:20
We need to improve our squad for next season and McGeough would certainly be an improvement on Halliday and Holt but we need to set our sights a lot higher in terms of our starting eleven otherwise Gerrard is on a hiding to nothing.

03 Jun 2018 14:05:54
Agree with some of the posts. If we can get ride of holt and Halliday then McGeough can come in on a free, and is a better player. He's in above them in the Scotland's squad after all.

As for mcburnie, he was unlucky with his header and could be a good prospect, however would I spend £4m on him.? No

03 Jun 2018 16:01:15
What’s a burger crisps?

I was just pointing out the main negatives for 2 guys we have been linked with, sorry but McGeouch is 25 which is hardly young, when guys like Ferguson we’re 25 thay were pure quality that could keep up with players much better than Mexico. Mcbrunie didn’t impress me either when we played in the 2 friendlies earlier this year at Hampden and budapest. Like I said in my long post last night we need to be aiming for better quality and not wasting money on guys that just are not good enough to challenge Celtic never mind in the Europa league

The positives to come out off it is.
A lot off these guys won’t be getting picked again
Scott Bain was brilliant
Johnny Russel looked really good
Lewis Morgan Looks a good prospect - ( shame we never tried to bring him back to Ibrox

Sorry that my post was negative I try being the opposite but it did have to be said guys really disappointing from guys playing for there country
