Don't get why people are so keen to get rid of Alfredo and dig into him so much, he might not be doing so good against the other mob but one of our best strikers in recent times only scored once against Celtic and no1 wanted him to leave, personally I would keep Alfredo as long as possible, he's a prolific scorer, and without him and his goals we wouldn't be in the position we are, and he plays for the shirt, something we haven't seen since Walter left for the 2nd time and that's what we need. And as for barasic, I wouldn't want to let him go for less than 20/ 25 mil! We have Croatia's 1st choice left back! If this was the 90s teams would be getting told where to go, sell on the dead wood and build on the good players we have! We can't go every transfer window selling our best players and our big signings being replacements! I mean last season we had Kent on loan and he was effectively our marquee signing! We just payed 7 odd million for a player we are used to seeing, just think we should be keeping this team together and adding to it instead of selling the best bits! Last year we LET candieas leave and replaced him with Jordan Jones! When candieas was one of our better players and hardest workers! All am saying is we shouldn't even be considering selling our best to just replace them! Build on what good players we have if we want a chance at winning the league next season as well as Europe!

IF jermain defoe was 27 years old instead of 37 years old and morelos was the age he is now, who would you prefer to be our no.1 striker and why and in what system? 🤔.

Morelos temperament is not improving. Yes he's scored many important goals for us but we can all see his heart isn't in it. The boy wants away. So for that reason I'd say cash in this window and not any less than 15 million with a sell on.

A love Alfredo and a really wish he would sort himself out, he’s been here for 3 seasons and he’s not had a completed good full season, people say he plays for the shirt? A think he’s more interested in himself, countless times last season his decision making was really bad, numerous times he is in great positions to slide a pass in bit he prefers to shoot, this is just my opinion and it is not a dig, Defoe at 27 over Morelos aswel, such a natural finisher it’s scary, and we should not be looking to sell Borna 1 of our best performers last season, hopefully this is the year #letsgo.

Morelos is a better a player at 22 than Defoe Was at any age. For Defoe to be really affective he has always had to play as a two up top. Defoe cannot play the loan striker role.

As we all know Morelos has to grow up or he will never reach his full potential.

I really rate morelos MOLS, but have to be honest here mate, he's not in the same class as defoe was so far mate! Defoe is way better/ more natural finisher than defoe. Defoe was miles better at 22 than morelos was/ is and that's the honest truth pal. Wee defoe is/ was different class! Morelos IMHO couldn't score the same number of goals in the english premier league that defoe has done. Defoe was i'm sure the 5th best goalscorer in the english premiership history mate, that says it all!

i don't know why you are comparing, for one they are totally different types of players. the whole system would need changed to suit defoe. to say Morelos isn't a natural goal finisher is also nonsense. you don't get 30 goals in half a season if you aren't a natural goal finisher. Morelos bullies defenders and is much more suited for our game. furthermore he isn't their for assists he is like most strikers and wants to put the ball in the net. people on here are unreal constantly wanting to sell our best talent and bring in untried talent.

So it’s favouring Defoe huh 🤔, Defoe was a full England international, so if we were to replace Morelos with a full England international nowadays how much would one cost? Vardy, Raheem Stirling, Harry Kane, Marcus rashford? Dint think we could afford any of them, Morelos however is a full Colombian international, and us still a few years ahead of him until he turns 27 🤔 so if u asked would u take Defoe at Morelos age or Morelos at Morelos age I reckon Morelos just shades it for me!

There is no doubt that Defoe is the better finisher but he is not a better centre forward or player. Morelos has incredible stats when you consider goals and assists. There is no way Defoe could have provided the performances Morelos gave us in Europe this year. There is a good reason that he was Gerard’s first pick almost ever time both were fit and available.

God finisher though Defoe is we are not as effective a team with Defoe in it.

Defoe is 8th in the list of all-time EPL goalscorers with 162. That's some record. On the point of changing our system to play two up front, then why don't we? Morelos + a new signing with Defoe still coming on as sub or starting in certain games. SG persevered with a lone striker but it hasn't won us the league or anything else. Look at Liverpool's success with three great strikers in Salah, Mane and Firmino! Too much dependence on Morelos. That can't happen next season.

Defoe isn’t a lone striker simply because that role takes a helluva lot of running, pulling out wide, tracking back, pressing from the front etc etc Defoe doesn’t have the pace or energy/ stamina anymore to cover the kinda ground Morelos does, that’s why in my opinion he could play that role but not anymore! Not as effectively as Morelos anyway, which is why Morelos starts when both fit, and why I presume people are calling for decent third striker to allow Defoe in a 2 up top or at least to allow Defoe to be effective from the bench if Morelos out 🤔etc.

We always sold more replica kits than the breeze block boulevard brigade and that's not being biased that's being honest! That was obviously up until 2011, but we will now be back to leaving them well behind in our kit sales. Morelos must be sold! Reports telling us he returned back for training overweight, again, not in any photos for the kit launch either probs because his weight! Good striker but total liability, the boy has won us nothing but lost us everything! Red cards caused him to miss the hampden semi against the sheep and left us with saddiq, red card elbow at the piggery cost us dearly, red card again at the piggery cost affected us dearly after the xmas break, reporting back late after every break! I'll personally only forgive him if he delivers a title with his goals! Until then the boys a bomb scare and I'd get rid! 100%.

Reason we lost that game at Celtic park was down to yet another mistake from Tavernier. Semi final against Aberdeen we were awful and hardly any of the players got pass marks. Maybe better looking at their performances that day rather than someone who didn’t play. Of course as usual you fail to mention his goals in the Europa League. Who scored the goal to get us through to the group stages? Who scored in 5 group games to get us out of the group? How much money did the club make on the back of those goals in the Europa league? Make no mistake had it not been for his goals in Europe then Gerrard would have been under a lot more pressure as manager.

Sorry to say to some bears on here but it's more than just up to morelos to score goals and win 7s games - what about the games he bullies players off the park then its up to other players to step up and win us games.

Quite obvious that Kent, aribo, and others should contribute more goals and creativity.

Difference in my opinion last seasons with us and the Tim's wasn't morelos attitude, or errors at the back, it was the goals celtics midfield came up with when edouard, or Griffiths weren't scoring.

Team game lads can't just put it all on defoe and morelos to win silverware.

Guys, there is no doubting that Alfie is a total enigma, I personally like the boy, and, he has made us a few bob via his goals in Europe. His attitude, like it or not stinks, if he has come back overweight, that is a slap in the face to his Manager and his team mates, and, it wouldn't be the first time it has happened.

People who only see the good points, need to be honest, and admit that if he stays, we need a massive improvement in his all round game, especially the sitters he misses.

This guy KJA9 IS totally fascinated with me, i've came to that conclusion! Firstly ryan kent hasn't YET hit the heights for us, the way he did in his season long loan spell with us, but doesn't mean we cast him to the wolves and now say he's no talent. Make no bones about it ryan kent is a talented WINGER, for your benefit KJA9 i've highlighted winger in capitals as that's his natural position and where he was playing in his loan spell with us, in which he was acclaimed the young player of the year! I believe gerrard will now play kent in his best/ more natural left wing position and we'll see kent get back to his best because of it. Don't worry or give up on ryan kent as he will come good again as talented players do! 👌.
