Would be nice to have another playmaker if we are only going to get 60/ 70 minutes out of kranjar not saying we will get someone as good but maybe a loan player who could fill this position, certainly would be worth looking at.

03 Jul 2017 20:34:01
*cough*Dorrans*cough*

03 Jul 2017 21:40:28
that's where dozzy plays

03 Jul 2017 22:02:58
Pena is a playmaker.

04 Jul 2017 02:19:26
I heard Herrera lands a few haymakers.

03 Jul 2017 19:20:35
This is just my opinion MW had an idea he was heading out the door when Barrie was offerded the contarct and MW told him don't sign and I'll take you with me either buy or free going by what I have read Pedro was lined up long time ago and when things went pear shap he came in when he did and most off his players were already lined up to join

03 Jul 2017 20:08:38
this guy on glue I think. . Barrie is a wee nob. either sign the contract handed too you or leave the club. if u stay then play your heart out for the club not play one game good then 8 games bad. if he wants to leave then so be it. dalcio will fill his boots. his first game he was more lively and running about.

for me that hat as he was called can stay away from out team

04 Jul 2017 04:23:46
barrie has real class, just no the heart that the younger celtic and thistle boys have. wasted talent heed filled with all the crap our fans sing and bottles a sparkly vodka at the clubbing. if anyman was too Rangers a think it was Barrie.

take 750,000 whack in 30% of next transfer and ill take it.

Pedro knows exactly what he is doing and has studied these players hugely and knows barrie isny going to make it here.

dorrns is a steal at 750,000 not so long ago celtic bid 2 million for him.

ye can't expect all signing to be rangers class, but even 1/ 2 of them is a step up.

anything less than second though and I would have second thoughts on Pedro

04 Jul 2017 17:13:09
Dorrans is £1.5mill

04 Jul 2017 17:16:56
I don't see a player in Dalcio Candieas looks decent though I'd straight out replace McKay with Walker

03 Jul 2017 16:38:19
I see all of these "we should have signed Callum Paterson" posts.

Has it occurred to anyone that maybe he didn't want to sign? We can't keep going on about what we think the manager is doing wrong, if we don't know the details.

For me, we need to get money for Barrie while we still can, he's free to leave soon. I also think that if he had been any other nationality than Scottish, nobody would be having this discussion about keeping him.

He's a good player, but not the type of player we need

03 Jul 2017 17:02:39
Agree 100%, I don't understand McKay, either he has an inflated opinion of his own ability or more likely he doesn't like hard work and he doesn't fancy the idea of tracking back, putting in 100% for 90 minutes and competing for his position. I hope he goes to Cardiff where he might actually improve rather than to Notts Forrest under Warburton and Weir.

03 Jul 2017 18:19:10
The writing has been on the wall since the beginning of last season with McKay.

I remember being distinctly unimpressed with his form and body language at the beginning of the season and thought Warburton should have dropped him to give him a reality check but it never seemed to happen, kept being allowed to put in mediocre performance after performance.

There is no questioning the ability there but like I have thought and many have said, his attitude, passion, commitment are all more than questionable. He doesn't come across to me as someone who enjoys playing for the club so better off without in my opinion.

03 Jul 2017 18:33:06
It's not really the fact that he may not have wanted to sign but I can't really remember of that many rumours that we were even interested in Patterson. If you don't ask you don't get.

04 Jul 2017 11:55:13
If Whittaker is a free agent try signing him as back up to Tavernier and Wallace and get rid of Hodson leaving Beerman as third choice/ squad rotation

03 Jul 2017 16:07:39
Scottish Sun reporting a few minutes ago that Norwich have accepted a bid of £1.5 million from Rangers for Dorrans. Now waiting for permission to speak to the player. There at last it seems!

03 Jul 2017 16:25:21
Apparently only 750k and he should be signed for Wednesday

03 Jul 2017 16:28:05
The actual fee is about half of that. Typical Sun, got to exaggerate everything. Dorrans in, McKay out and not a penny spent. Good business.

03 Jul 2017 14:21:56
Looking forward to the game tomorrow. Having seen the 2 teams play what changes would everyone make?

Most of the team did at least enough not to get dropped except Waggy who was stinking!

I would look to replace Waggy with Morelos from the start.

I wasn't that convinced by Dalcio but Progres play a high line defence and we could do with pace to get behind.

03 Jul 2017 14:54:11
I'd play herrera from the start, Progres will try to hit on the counter again so may aswell put some height upfront this time.

03 Jul 2017 15:35:17
This is their home tie so I expect Progres to make a go of it at the start. An early goal for them changes the tie, an early goal for us and the game for Progres is over. 0-0 with 10 minutes to go would be a nail biter.

03 Jul 2017 17:05:45
I would play Pena and at the expense of Waghorn and Holt. Morelos can apparently play on the wing so maybe him in there instead of Dalcio. At the end of the day it is up to Pedro, I just don't see what Waghorn brings to the team.

03 Jul 2017 17:26:32
Me neither Tom.
JJ says the mexicans are available but not fully fit so I expect them to be on bench.
I think our front 3 will be out of Miller, Morelos, Dalcio and candeias with one on the bench with Herrera.

03 Jul 2017 21:33:09
I think candeias will start and waghorn out then miller will go up top think that will be the only change tho. hopefully the two Mexicans will be on the bench.

04 Jul 2017 11:56:48
Waghorn runs his socks off and gets stuck in but he's never a striker and neither was Garner

04 Jul 2017 16:58:05
I thought about that too Only Show but I was wondering how fit he is and would having him as a target leave them playing deeper?
Also would consider Rossiter for Holt as he maybe has a better through ball?
We could play Dalcio (left) Morelos (Middle) and Candeias (Right)?

03 Jul 2017 17:07:42
Fods, Tav, Bates, Cardoso, Wallace, Jack, Rossiter, Niko, Candeias, Morelos, Miller

Waghorn and Holt not good enough. Candeias looked like he could offer a bit more than what Dalcio did at this point. Just too soon for Alves, Pena, Herrera possibly.

04 Jul 2017 17:11:21
Start Jack and Rossiter and play a high press and allow NK to find the space and Miller hopefully put a few past them. Candeias looks as if he can put a wicked ball into the box so bringing on Herrera for aerial presence at some point if it doesn't go to plan. Bottom line they are rotten, they raised their game as any team would playing in front of 50,000.

03 Jul 2017 13:28:33
Doesn't seem to be a popular opinion but I can't understand folk wanting to sell McKay for £700k and buy Dorrans at 30 years old for £1.5M.
Think recruitment's gone really well this summer, my only complaints would be we missed out on a cracking RB in Paterson and I'd 100% want to keep McKay.

McKay is a product of the youth academy, still young at 22, I agree he's got to improve some aspects of his game and become more consistent but he's still a great talent with a lot of potential.

The foreign signings have improved us definitely, but we need to keep some of our home-grown players in the mix to keep an identity and to satisfy squad regulations.

03 Jul 2017 13:36:13
Dorrans deal isn't for £1.5mil, Mckay WANTS TO LEAVE.

03 Jul 2017 14:09:52
Dorrans deal is closer to 750k than 1 Mill and McKay wants to leave hence the chasing of Jamie Walker and its no secret heart need cash

03 Jul 2017 14:24:12
The rangers observer is reporting a deal for good has been reached and its only 750k not the 1-1.5m reported in the sun and the rhebel anyone heard any different

03 Jul 2017 14:57:41
McKay wants to leave and his warburton security blanket will def be his choice. he also isn't a product of our youth system, he was at killie and was released after an injury when we picked him up

03 Jul 2017 15:14:55
bluels the colour, you cannot understand why the desire to get cash for Mckay, well others can, won't go on about dodging tackles etc, suffice to say he has been cr. p.

03 Jul 2017 12:44:56
starting to think we should push harder to get McLean and Walker, they are of a good age and would have decent sell on value whereas Dorrans is a bit older and any fee we pay would never be recovered. Also young Barjonas has decent talent and could be useful on the subs bench.

03 Jul 2017 16:31:18
In six months' time we'll be able to sign both of them for free, so if their clubs want money for them, take what's on the table.

03 Jul 2017 17:10:24
I still believe that we will pick up Walker before the end of the transfer window, I just can't believe that Hearts are going to risk losing £500,000+ by keeping an unhappy player who will then walk away for nothing at the end of next season.

As for McLean, exactly the same argument although I can see McInnes trying to offer McLean more money to sign a new contract. We can wipe that benefit out completely + give the boy a good signing on fee so again, as a Rangers supporter, he would be better advised to leave at the end of the season under freedom of contract if Aberdeen don't accept our offer for him.

03 Jul 2017 21:36:48
Think we will get walker eventually and but as for McLean I think he will end up down south and with kranjcar dorrens Pena I don't think we need him tbh he is not as good as any of them

04 Jul 2017 16:57:53
mind you, to get ALL three would be the cream of the milk :)

03 Jul 2017 11:27:50
Harry Hill time again by the sounds of it ed? Should the situation arise who, in a poll, would fans prefer to be in goals this season for Rangers -
A- Mcgregor
B - Foderingham
C - Other

Rangers Goalie Poll

03 Jul 2017 11:40:30
Good to see the debate open. For me Wes ain't half the goalie McPelter is. Wes is just too panicky. Nuf said

03 Jul 2017 12:01:07
A bit of a hard question tho really as I don't think there is any doubt shagger is the better keeper but I don't think we should waste money and wages on a new keeper as I think fodringham played well last season so deserves a crack this season. But I also think in the long run we will need better but think he will be fine this season why we concentrate on strengthening out field possessions first.

03 Jul 2017 12:12:04
Pointless post seeing shaggregor isn't our player . IMO

03 Jul 2017 14:10:36
Foderingham

03 Jul 2017 15:01:04
Shagger isn't the keeper he was, maybe due to age and he's injury prone. I'd stick with Fod who was one of our best players last year, he's also showing signs of improvement in time he's been with us.

04 Jul 2017 16:56:37
Defo McGregor, if he's available for the right price, much better keeper than Wes Or what we have got, Wes Has no command of his box and never comes for crosses, I've lost count on the number of goals we have conceded from Corners and crossed balls the last 2 seasons, just look at Hibs second and 3rd goals in the Scottish cup final last year for a perfect example, plus there's been plenty more as well, McGregor or new keeper for me.

03 Jul 2017 10:48:45
On another note, i quite like the new tracksuits the players and pedro were wearing in the photos of them at the airport

03 Jul 2017 10:44:47
Mckay apparently sold for 450,000 that's terrible money if true, to forest aswell and just the other day warburton was bragging about how cheap cummings was aswell, i'm sure we could have held off for a bit more at least

03 Jul 2017 11:53:11
Cummings had 3 years left on his contract, Mckay has 11 months. He could leave for next to nothing in 5 months.

03 Jul 2017 08:40:53
Safe travels to all the bears today and tomorrow going to the game, i think we should win it hopefully we can win it well, also as dorrans drags on honestly think we'll get him and another winger in.

02 Jul 2017 22:59:43
So i was at the game the other night just like most of you were, i went to every home game last season and from what i saw against prognes cardoso is a bargain long time i have seen a player so confident on the ball as good a defender as clint was he was shaky on the ball and not a single cb would bring the ball out into the space and cardoso every time he got the ball he look up the park for a foward pass.

he also carried the ball very well so this guy will be very important, ryan jack will get stick this season but he was also excellent. dalcio started well then fell away most likely nerves but one player out of the new boys in excited for and i think had been over looked in sort of opinions of the game he was so direct never stopped running tav didn't help him out as much as i would have liked but this guy is going to start a lot and be a very key players for us

Also with people hoping pedro will fail from this game, people need to notice the players who let us down on the day wallace holt waghorn were warbs favourites the players who played the best where pedros boys and david bates who pedro gave a chance to

These players and only going to get better guys.

03 Jul 2017 12:56:32
Fully agree. Waghorn works hard but simply doesn't't score anything like enough goals and he misses far to many easy chances. Holt is a good squad player but there are others including Pena and Rossiter that should start ahead of him and Wallace, (and for that matter Tav), have it all to prove this season.

All of this said I have a good feeling about the team for this season, I believe that they will get better and better as the season progresses and all of the players that Pedro has brought in will give 100% in every game!

03 Jul 2017 15:51:12
Why will Ryan jack get stick?
